  1. @HartofDixie what did Rockstar post? It's deleted now.
  2. @Michichick nope, all three are getting unmasked at the end.
  3. I honestly thought Jellyfish's performance tonight was better than Mushroom's, but what do I know.
  4. Nick has always been my favorite in BSB, but I never had any clue of his actual range as an artist. I'm really impressed, and glad he's going through. I hope he wins it all, but he has serious competition in the Sun (much as I love and prefer Popcorn, I don't think she'll outperform Sun tonight). I think whoever wins in the Jellyfish/Mushroom pairing will take 3rd. Though obviously I'm getting way ahead of myself, since there's another like...4 hours to get through before we know who wins. (Next week is a "holiday singalong," then we have a two-hour finale on the 16th.)
  5. Oh man, I don't know which three I want to go through the most.
  6. In today's "new" episode (TEEN PITCHES FIT OVER A/C?!; JUST DON'T DO IT!) the first case is new in pandemic style, while the second is an old case. At the beginning of the second case, JJ admonishes the 22-year-old defendant with "I've been a star for 17 years, when you were still pooping your pants!" so it seems the case is from 2012. I guess it's good they're reaching further back so the cases won't be too familiar to viewers. It'll be interesting to see if the second half of this season ends up being "the best cases of the last 25 years." I actually wouldn't mind that at all.
  7. The yellow clue words were "win a grin," and the clue also did say "bake," so I was willing them towards the baking aisle, but I'm a huge baker and still could not come up with cinnamon. ...but I was kinda glad they didn't win the big money, since they wouldn't have gotten to the big money final sweep without the other team's inflatable (what was that called on the old version of the show? Because it definitely wasn't called an inflatable). Yes, I know the other team screwed up by not getting the damn thing actually across the line, but I could kinda, sorta, maybe see where the other dude got confused. I was confused in the first game, though. The one team dragged that enormous stuffed teddy bear across the line, and I thought it was one of the bonuses, but they didn't have to pull the tag off nor was it mentioned at all when Leslie was giving the final totals. So does that mean there were actually three of those giant bears somewhere in the store?
  8. Karens are not usually self-aware, so probably not.
  9. While I do like Jimmy, in the last year I usually prefer Colbert. But I'm catching up on the recent shows, and am watching Kimmel's interview with Obama immediately after watching Colbert's interview with Obama. It's kind of amazing that, though Colbert was in the same room with Obama while Kimmel's interview with him was via Zoom (or similar), Obama is way more comfortable and natural with Kimmel. I think that speaks to Kimmel's skill as an interviewer.
  10. Today's "new" episode is weird. Episode is called 'KAREN' ACCUSED OF TERRORIZING LANDLORD?; I WANT MY RENT AND PROPERTY. The "Karen" part of the episode is in pandemic-style. But the second case in the episode is an old case, with JJ with her hair down, and an audience. The case has the new 25th anniversary announcer for the voiceovers, but it is so glaringly obvious that this case is several years old. Judging by how JJ looks (hairstyle and age-wise--her cheeks are fuller in this case than they are currently), I think it's probably from 2016ish. It's so jarring that they went from a new case to an old case within one episode. I am doubtful that they'll be able to fulfill the rest of the episodes ordered for this last season, if they're already only able to show one new case in an episode.
  11. I don't know why, but Sasha looked SO MUCH like Louis van Amstel when he first came out for the cha cha. Even in the thumbnail up above, he reminds me of Louis. I totally did not miss Len at the judge's table this year. I'd take Derek as a permanent new judge. Since DWTS and WOD run at different times of year, I don't see why the networks wouldn't allow it. I totally forgot about that incredible dance, thanks for the reminder! And that made me think of this dance, which I still think is so incredible (though obviously not Derek dancing with a "star.") Really anytime he's danced with Julianne has always been a highlight for me.
  12. So far, we have accounted for: 25 Grammy nominations (Busta Rhymes has 12, Bob Saget 1, Lisa Hartman Black 1, Clint Black 11) 4 Super Bowl appearances (I think Fox is playing fast and loose with this one: Busta, Mark Sanchez, and Bob Saget were all in commercials played during Super Bowls; Clint Black was part of the 1994 Halftime show) 2 Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars (Wendy Williams and Clint Black) 1 World Record (Busta held the record for most syllables said in one second) 1 Oscar nominee (Mickey Rourke) The other things with larger numbers are too hard to figure out. Like I tried to figure out the platinum records, but without knowing how Fox is counting (like if an album goes multi-platinum, does each time count? And is Fox using "record" the way the Grammys uses "record," to mean "single," or does "record" mean "album"? And does it count if a record goes platinum in another country, or are they only counting platinum in the US?), it's way too hard to figure out. We haven't seen the Olympic gold medalist or the Time 100 person yet. Of the names that I know have been thrown out there for the remaining contestants: I spent WAY too much time researching all of this today. I figured the movie and TV things would be easy, thanks to IMDB, but...NOPE! However, here are two Mickey Rourke "fun facts:" 1) Rourke turned down a star on the WoF because they wouldn't allow him to put his dead dog's name on the star, too; 2) Of the 151 film appearances for this season's cast, 74 of those appearances are Rourke's!
  13. Tonight's episode was actually the pilot, filmed in March before the shutdown. Apparently there was a lot of time between filming the pilot and the remaining episodes. Most of the changes made a lot of sense in considering social distancing, but you know what didn't change? Ken's freaking suit. And Adrienne and Cheryl were also wearing the same outfits they wore in earlier (aired) episodes. Maybe rather than upgrading the giant "lock it in" button and flashing pedestal to a touchscreen, they should have given that money to wardrobe for a few more outfits. I am really never getting over this. Except for the final duet, it also weirdly seemed to me like all of the good singers were still lip syncing during their reveal.
  14. @Maverick, those were exactly my thoughts when I saw who was competing, but thought "well, maybe they'll surprise me!" Nope. Though that turkey impression was pretty incredible. Have to say, I think the first time I ever saw Petroni was as a judge on "Supermarket Stakeout" earlier this year (I think that show came out this year, but this year has been a decade, so at this point it could have come out in 2017), and he's grown on me faster than probably any TV chef personality ever before. I really enjoy him. I very much like the at-home setting and getting the chance to see what these chefs consider must-have items for their own kitchens. I know they won't be able to make this format last forever (at least not without expanding the pool of cheftestants/judges), but this is the one show where I'm really not at all missing the pre-pandemic version.
  15. Yeah I definitely heard some of the Nick Carter tone tonight in Crocodile. He does this slightly nasally/whiney thing sometimes (and I love Nick so I mean that in the best way possible, I just don't know how else to explain it), and I caught that at a few spots tonight. But I was still totally surprised Serpent went before Crocodile.
  16. That final clue was so hard, especially since Demi Moore is no longer the most current Demi. I'm probably 10-15 years older than those contestants looked, and my first thought when I saw "Demi" was Lovato. Once I saw the rhyming word was "sure," it still took me a beat to think Demi Moore. Even then, I only came up with Dinty Moore thanks to some long-buried memory of my grandma buying it (or talking about it?) in the 80s. I know I've never eaten it. Is it in the soup aisle? I assume yes, since stew is kinda soup-adjacent? I thought that third clue was also difficult. I've never heard of Native deodorant. Though the entire selection of deodorant is way less items to look through than every. SINGLE. THING. in the canned goods aisle.
  17. I couldn't believe Spencer voted out Andrew instead of Kaya. I was literally shocked, and was sure he'd have his ass handed to him in the final round. So I was once again shocked when he got his first...seven, was it? questions right. I wondered at that point if blowing the earlier rounds had been strategy, but that seems like a really risky and stupid strategy, since he easily could have been voted off in any of those rounds. I'm glad Kaya and her perfect game won the money.
  18. I just stumbled upon IJ: Dinner Party tonight. I has no idea how badly I needed this in my life. I just love these guys.
  19. Well, that would have made for a way more intriguing "bridge" to get over Alex, for sure.
  20. So Stephen not only is no longer saying the President's name, but they're even censoring it when showing headlines! I love it. Also, tonight is their 1000th episode!
  21. I was today-years-old when I learned Gillian Anderson has a British accent (and I was a teen when The X-Files started airing, so...). I thought from filming The Crown maybe she had caught the same fake British accent syndrome afflicting Madonna, but then read Anderson was actually raised until she was 11 in London, so she is "bidialectal." (I was also today-years-old when I learned "bidialectal" was a word.)
  22. I tuned in tonight for the first time since probably July, and caught Jimmy "Playing A Round with Michael Strahan." I surprisingly really enjoyed the entire segment and laughed at quite a few spots. However, Strahan's "Irish" accent sounded like he was doing a bad impression of Eddie Murphy as Prince Akeem in "Coming to America." Has Strahan ever even heard an Irish accent? I get he's not exactly known for his impressions so it'd be hard to expect him to do a perfect one right off the bat, but you'd think that after hearing Jimmy doing a decent one Michael might get...slightly? closer? to the Irish accent.
  23. I'm really bothered that they couldn't be bothered to buy a few different suits for Ken Jeong. He's been in the same purplish-red suit every episode, yet Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Houghton, who I think have also been in every episode (I missed the one two weeks ago) have different outfits each episode. It would be one thing if they'd just put him in a black suit, but the fact that it's such a different color makes it SO obvious. I'm pretty sure the outfit is the same right down to the pocket square. ETA: okay, so I went scrolling through the previous episodes and it turns out Adrienne and Cheryl both wore the same outfits during 2/4 and 1/3/6. 5 was a different outfit for both. But that doesn't change the fact that even Ken's pocket square has been the same through every SINGLE episode.
  24. Jessie Graff was apparently injured pretty seriously when she fell during the finals: https://www.fredericknewspost.com/sports/level/professional/urbana-high-alum-jessie-graffs-ninja-warrior-season-has-painful-conclusion/article_339e355f-7334-5ae6-bc92-2a14344b0f06.html
  25. How far ahead did they usually film? Will we still have new episodes with him this week?
