  1. One odd thing, Zac said that Amanda's pink checkered look was "Very Clueless -- Very late 80's." Clueless is a 1995 movie and I think Zac would know that well...... Have to admit that kind of confused me. Clueless is like the quintessential 90's fashion movie :)
  2. I say this with complete hate of Korina -- 1) So stupid for Nina to complain about Korina's aesthetic. God, I really do not like Nina's bitchy (and I hate the word bitchy) attitude towards the designers for all the wrong things. Korina has an aesthetic like every other designer, she should do it every time if she pleases, and in no way does someone's personal aesthetic/style comment on their skill as a designer. 2) My two favourite outfits this episode was Kini's soccer ball dress --- including the hoochie fur! -- and Korina's full outfit that the "judges" "hated" including that green vinyl top, which by the way, Tim loved. I really did like that outfit top to bottom. I did not like Emily's couch thing, at all. I would never, ever want to wear that couch top! 3) Did not get the judges creaming all over the moving carpet jacket. It looked like exactly what it was. Moving carpet. I see that in my condo elevator every weekend. Why the F would I want to wear a jacket out of that S. Sean was hilarious this episode. I love how Char showed class, assertiveness, stood up for herself, and really thrived under pressure. I loved Kini and Amanda's joy and teamwork. This episode really made me like Amanda (though I have to pretend she doesn't have a habit of defending the worst people that have ever been on this show.) I loved Emily's speech about what a Satantic pissant that Korina is, in the nicest way possible. This episode really brought out the 'best' in everyone minus Korina and minus that collection of Sean/Char's that I was not too happy with. Sean and Char were so fucking adorable together in every way. I think the contestants need to get over the Save thing. It's on every reality show is it not. Or just the ones I watch. Okay fine I didn't agree with it on Survivor. Completely unfair/ad hominem attack on an entire generation. Out of all the things to criticize Korina's very specific behaviour for, why pick her age group?
  3. I like the case of the week. That's the whole thing drawing me to shows like this. When it comes to my other favourite law shows, The Good Wife, and SVU, I only like the case of the week. Whenever the show delves into the long term storylines regarding the personal lives of the characters I really couldn't give a shit. (Although, with Annalise, I really really do care. It's way too interesting so far.) I like how Annalise is so "flawed". What people do we know who aren't "super-flawed" once you get to know them (I say this with love, and I include myself in this)? I love how 'real' she seems and that she shows every range of emotion. I recommend the Entertainment Weekly article. Actually Viola Davis did not want to do TV, she really had to be convinced, and what convinced her is that she wanted to play a real human woman with a lot of different flaws and facets to her personality. I love you so hard for this reference.
  4. This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I enjoyed it.
  5. Did anyone find Steven Weber's character too close to TGW's Colin Sweeney?
  6. I think Baby Jennifer Connelly, who I find so gorgeous, is named "Laurel". I think the smarmy guy, from Orange is the New Black, is named "Asher". It helps that I read the EW article on this show. I may or may not be right. Rebecca is the same actor who played Rosie Larsen, and Carrie's friend in The Carrie Diaries yes?
  7. I'm pretty sure Stefon was half-created by John Mulaney. I thought Mulaney was writing the lines.
  8. I love this show. I loooooove this show. I don't even want to complain, but I will say I just have one complaint. It moves too fast. I wonder if this has to do with Viola wanting to do 18 episodes instead of 22, but still. It moves too fast for my brain. The actor who plays Wes has the most hilarious body language. It reminds me of something..... an ostrich? He's so lanky, and whirls his head around so slowly.... It's just so cartoonish, and yet I love it. Like instead of just listening with his left or right ear, he whirls his whole head around. I think Keanu Reeves has ear damage and had to do the same thing in The Matrix. Sorry Gilmore Girls fans, but my only other sore point with this show is Annalise's blonde underling. I can't stand her face and I can't stand her, period. I like all the other actors, and they seem to have so much spark, so I don't get her casting. Love Annalise's "boyfriend", god he is so sexyfine. Does everyone else notice Annalise's statement necklaces in every single scene?! It's so funny! Viola is God
  9. Oh, I think he is. I've seen him on several shows, and he's always different, and he's always great. I don't mind Taye Diggs. He is amazing but he isn't bad either. I don't like the character of Robin though. I never have, and I never will. She's a goofball, she looks like a kid, and I'll never take her seriously. She's never amazed me.
  10. I'm glad that the undercover stuff is over! I don't like it. I want the show 'back to normal'. Gonna rewatch to try and find what song Gina was listening to on her head phones in The Gina Incident :) Maybe it is not a real song. I can only make out the words, "I'm a milkshake" :)
  11. I think he seems classy, intelligent, and handsome, and he delivers his lines well and with confidence. I could never gel with Cecily's style. It didn't make it for me. The one thing Colin might be missing is X-factor or charisma. Not sure. I'm trying to give him time to fit more nicely into the role.
  12. Sooooooo cool that The Weeknd got on SNL, but why wasn't it ever announced, until the closing credits? The show was kind of ok, kind of uneven. Chris was definitely not bad at all. Happy for Michael Che. The first sketch was awful and they couldn't get any timing down. But the vets sketch was funnier. The best sketch was the puzzle video game sketch at the very end. I was really laughing. I'd have watched the other 55 levels. I think it's pretty obvious that that super young kid Pete Davidson was the star. I just could not stand how Ariana won't enunciate any single word properly! It was driving me crazy. Thanks for the recap Galileo. I liked "Maxie" a lot.
  13. Well if Wes is as naive as you say, then why not? ;) He had no idea it was extramarital at the time. I think the difficulty for him is that Annalise is supposed to be his authority figure, and it's hard to see authority figures be so vulnerable. I loved the show, I'll likely watch all season, and pilots/premieres rarely get me this excited. All the actors are so pretty, and I shallowly liked it. It was so racially diverse I will take the fact that no ugly people seem to be allowed on this show. I find that Baby Jennifer Connelly girl to be so, so attractive. My only difficulty was understanding all of it. Moved very fast for me. I took a lot of pre-law, crimonology, etc. but these type of shows never bother me.... I think my background just makes me love them.
  14. Am I the only person who didn't mind the design that Alexander started with, that almost sent Tim into shock? It had a mix of green and yellow prints right? And Cher Horowitz is a fashion icon of mine so I don't mind that comparison. And I don't mind Amanda either. She just has this 'fake' way of talking that I think she genuinely doesn't mean to come off in a phony way, but it strikes other people oddly. I did hate Michelle so much, but I'll have to go back and watch that season again. I can confidently say that Amanda without Michelle works wonders for her. Okay then. So the show made a stupid decision for zero reason? I vastly prefer the actual real women challenges where the women are diverse in age, look, body shape. Like that challenge where the women lost a bunch of weight and needed new clothes. Even the prom dress challenge from Season 4 was cool, though I'm sure very difficult. If you want to design for women that diversity is what you might actually have to deal with.
  15. I think the show chickened out because of Ven being an asshole to the "real" contestant that season so instead this episode we get the contestants choosing ballet dancers, beautiful German women, oddly perfect looking kindergarten teachers, etc. That's a complete copout. So as mentioned upthread, we miss out on seeing women of different sizes, and all the women end up young/skinny/white. How is this real. The models they're assigned are more real in that sense. I love leather, blue, and leather jackets. I really didn't like Korina's jacket. I thought it looked cheap, cheap, cheap. There are fake leather jackets that are simple, and chic. This wasn't one of them. The fit was bad. When the model took off the jacket, the dress looked so puckered and badly made! I think everyone's outfits were so poor this week the judges just kind of lied and made it like Korina's outfit was great.
  16. Do we really have to have the winner spoiled on the first page of previously.tv?
  17. The guy with the eye infection looks kind of like Alan Tudyk? https://www.google.ca/search?q=alan+tudyk&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=6ZclVKSBNsmKyATirICgCg&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ JP on Cook Islands is gay (and really good-looking) but I don't think it was ever really brought up on the show. I saw Tocantins recently and there was a kid named Spencer who didn't really want to discuss his personal life.
  18. Beach scene - Sunny by Marvin Gaye Harrison's Funeral - Bridge over Troubled Water by Aretha Franklin
  19. Candace, Cook Islands. I don't think I've ever felt that any of these islands has contributed something positive to Survivor. Season 28 was an incredible season in my opinion. No return players, no other islands. There's no solarium. There's no Prickly Pete. There's no other solarium.
  20. Didn't John Rocker say in the introduction of the show, "I've been called a bigot, and them's fighting words"? Unless I misheard or misunderstood correctly it seems like the complete opposite of "he's owned up to what he said and has changed now." He doesn't sound remorseful at all to me. He also said that he's loved the anonymity he's had for 15 years and he doesn't want to give that up. So wtf did he come on this show then? It honestly sounded to me like he understands nothing.
  21. Everything about High Nick was genius, and everything Winston did was genius. I could watch both of these things on loop. Like I've said before, Winston can break my heart with one line or facial expression -- his emotions are so real! The rest, meh. I thought the dating montage was kind of mean. Cece was not funny, and the show really doesn't seem to understand Damon Wayans Jr.'s character. He's just kind of there -- and I say this as a big fan of the actor. I'm still finding Cece and DWJ superfluous.
  22. Cary Fukunaga, the half-Japanese super hot True Detective director guy :) Samantha Mathis was on a sort-of-recent episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I thought she looked fantastic.
  23. I really liked it. And I've watched like 10 pilots this season..... This was the best. 90% of the pilots this year have blown.
  24. Her name's Marissa Gold. I didn't know that either, I had to look it up -- but one thing I did know -- Melissa Gold is Ari's wife on Entourage :)
