  1. possibilities, that's so much funnier. Thanks for pointing that out. Did she also do, "On your Mark -- Paul Gosselaar"? LOL! Only now just realizing that Wahlberg and Ruffalo are Marks, too! :) On your Marks!
  2. And then on your marks, get set, Rogen. My first thought was Joe Rogan, but I'm leaning toward the intent being Seth Rogen; not sure. Kyra Sedgwick on this show does nothing for me; she plays everything way too winkingly. I continue to not understand the appeal or humour ("humour"?) of Santiago at all. Everything else continues to shine. Great job show keep it up.
  3. I like the show. I don't know what it says about me but I do. The bailiff was on Whitney before this. I liked that show too. I was legitimately sad when it was cancelled.
  4. I agree. I really do. Designers need to have their own instincts, and this show should help them learn to follow them more, and learn the "right" instincts, too. Kini's his own man and to be the 'best' designer on the show he should have made a better outfit to complement that coat. That's all fine. I don't blame Tim for the skirt. All I want is more clips of Tim owning up to his comments. That's all I want.
  5. You both seem to be responding to me, so I'll respond to you both. You seem to be missing what I actually care about. I don't care what Tim tells the designers. I don't care how accurate or not Tim's predictions are. I don't care what the designers do, whether they follow Tim's advice or not. I care about Tim's integrity, attitude, and honesty. I've been shown instances of Tim throwing designers 'under the bus' by telling judges what they don't need to hear. If judges don't like a designer's designs, Tim shits on the designer even more by giving judges inside information they don't need. Like, "Ohhh I told him not to do that, but he wouldn't listen!" On the other hand, if the judges don't like a designer's designs, but Tim's advice steered them in the wrong direction, I don't see him owning up to it. If the judges DO like a designer's designs, because a designer directly ignored Tim's advice, I rarely see him owning up to it too. I don't believe that there are supposedly millions of examples contradicting this pattern that we're not being shown. I'll judge Tim by what I see on the show. It's part of the activity of watching television. I'm not a fan of both Tim and the show blatantly ignoring Tim's strong track record of not knowing what the judges will say that often costs the designer or is a huge detriment to the designer. Heidi instructs these designers, Tim is your Mentor. I will never blame the designers for listening to Tim, but I will blame Tim for not admitting that he predicted something incredibly wrongly or steered a designer in the opposite direction of what the judges want. He is often directly influencing the contestants' placement in this contest in a negative way. And as Heidi says every week, he's a mentor, not a judge, so that shouldn't be the case in my opinion. In my opinion I'm not a fan of it.
  6. I made this point in another episode! Tim pisses me off so much! He tells the judges when a designer ignores his advice and fails! But he doesn't tell the judges when a designer follows his advice and fails! Ugh Ugh Ugh Ugh! I don't believe this excuse for a second. I've seen way too much evidence to back up my point. Sorry. Tim thinks he can do no wrong but his advice is often very contrary to what the judges like. 13 seasons of this.
  7. I was the one who wrote the Ode to Wes's Ostrich Neck last week so thanks for the props. His physicality is so unique and hilarious. Either they never ever let Frank speak so I can't grasp anything about his character, or he does speak once in awhile but I'm mixing him up with Connor.
  8. It was very weird how the show treated the only female character, and it doesn't bode well. I'll keep an open mind for now.... but side-eyeing the show for that weird characterization.
  9. Laurel :) I wasn't sure if Annalise's boyfriend was or wasn't lying about her husband's alibi, so thanks for helping clear that up. Any information on this issue from anyone would be appreciated! Things go so frantically fast on HTGAWM Mountain. I don't get Ana Ortiz at all. She pops up in every show I watch and I don't get any charisma or any range from her! Jason Gedrick however, I get the whole thing. It's the speed, and it's the fact that so many storylines and plotpoints are crammed into one episode. The scene where Wes visits Rebecca in jail had bits that were literally fast-forwarded. And I mean, why?
  10. I was so attracted to him. That was the scariest part of the episode! I felt so bad for the Tinsley actress when snot was running down her face. Couldn't they reshoot the scene? I found it so distracting. Come on SVU must have a budget for that considering how many hands they must pay to rip headlines. I think there was an episode of NBC's The Office also in Winnipeg. Named Winnipeg. Thanks for letting us know about Dan Schneider. I really didn't know. What I Like About You is one of my all time favourite shows (not a joke) and it's so sad to see what has become of Amanda. So sad.
  11. That girl with the platinum hair. Never noticed her on the show until now. I liked it.
  12. Last season of Survivor was so amazing. I don't know how to express that enough. Let me try. Last season was so compelling and the 'gimmick' was so good that it got me interested in the first season I've watched since Season 6. It got me so interested in the show that I went back and watched almost every other season that I missed, during its run. Not kidding. Last season was amazing, and I feel like I was already hooked by episode 1. I feel like this season really sucks. I just don't care. But at least that happened....
  13. "You're an 8... you're an 8.5.... I"m a classic 6." "Winston for the last time stop rating us."
  14. I feel like if Lamorne Morris isn't one of our biggest movie stars in a few years than there is no justice :) Also, "Depression Era Garbage Man" hahaha. I'm basically hysterical at the last few minutes of this episode, Schmidt's crying being like a ghost singing "Hey Ya"? Much better than whatever other episodes happened this season which I already forget.
  15. I really hated this. It had all the ingredients of shows that I hate. I like the actors, so I wanted to like it, but it was a horrible viewing experience for me. Won't watch again.
  16. Same. I thought there'd be so much more talk about them. Are we really so starved (to see such scenes on TV that is, yeah that's the ticket) that those scenes made us happy? : ) The rest of the episode - YAWN.
  17. I noticed that too. I think most people would be uncomfortable with that closeness. It's unnatural.
  18. Is Sunday after The Simpsons a good time slot or bad? It seems like a bad move for them based on the above. Can somebody who knows about this stuff can enlighten the rest of us? 1. Why was this moved from Tuesday to Sunday? What does that say about the network's belief in the show? 2. Is the show doomed now in this new timeslot?
  19. I'm all for designers and people who are actually influential/important in the fashion industry. But Anna Sui is judging a team challenge in Season 10 (watching right now) and I'm so annoyed. She's trying to make every team's result into a metaphor for their teamwork or lack of and this is one of my most hated cliches on this show. Judges always say "Your team didn't get along, .... and it shows in the clothes!" Guess what? I've been rewatching Seasons 4, 10 and currently watching 13 and this is true: the teams that get along beautifully often have results that the judges hate and the teams that have a horrible time often have results that the judges love! So I hate, hate, hate that judging cliche that "You didn't get along... and it shows in the clothes!" It's just an arrogant lecture based on no knowledge or evidence. It drives me crazy. Anna Sui interrupted every meaningful critique about each team's outfits to say insightful things like "And she was angry... and that was an angry coat!" Give me a break. This show is obsessed with pushing whatever narratives it wants, and one truth that the show does not want to reveal is that sometimes when teams have a horrible time together, the judges have no idea and love the result.
  20. It has a strong pedigree probably seemed like a good gig.
  21. I still wish that Sandhya was still in the competition. I actually rewatch seasons, and when I look back on this one, her elimination will be the most nonsensical to me because she was the designer I'd been favouring. This season's Patricia, and I mean that as a compliment.
  22. Dr. Cox got a vasectomy on Scrubs -- though behind his wife's back, so it probably still goes to your point. But it's hard (impossible?) to use a vasectomy as a plot point on a sitcom and keep the tone serious.
  23. I loved the entire vasectomy storyline and everything about it was hilarious, but even as a big fan of The Closer I thought Kyra and her character were kind of pointless. There is actually a show called Scrotal Recall.
  24. It's airing right now, in Canada, 7 PM EST. It will also air later at the regular premiere time. I'm kind of enjoying it, but so much is based on his stand-up, which of course I've seen because I'm a fan of his! So those jokes are obviously not going to be surprises. I don't know why so many sitcoms (today, still) insist on the laugh track. It was passe when HIMYM was doing it and it's passe now. Nothing's going to change my mind on that.... However, I'll be sticking with him because I really like him. I'm a big fan of Martin Short and Nasim also.
  25. It was really distracting when Silverman screwed up so many lines in the Joan Rivers skit. I'm really happy about Colin Jost and Michael Che, this was already miles better than last week. Michael is really natural, and rarely screws up his lines, and if he does, he finds a good way to get away with it. His laughter is really natural. I find him so likeable up there. Supportive Women & Kenan were just amazing in every way. Kenan could host his own show like this. I'd watch it, LOL. I found it parodying how shows used to be just about women plotting against each other - Dynasty? And honestly, I consider myself super feminist and I believe that way too many women still plot against each other personally and professionally. They should find a way to use this more. Wasn't Bobby as Ben Franklin just super adorable? Really enjoyed Maroon 5's second performance: "Maps". He was 'fired' from the main cast but he's still a writer I think.
