  1. A lot of them married rock stars or successful actors. I think Tiffany Fallon is married to a country singer. I wish more had gone the Kelly Wearstler route and became a success in a completely different field. Take the money earned from the centerfold and use that to pay for college or trade school. Or use it as seed money to start a small business. Heather from "Selling Sunset" was a Playmate and now a realtor. Susie has done some amazing humanitarian work: https://haitichildren.org/team/susie-krabacher/ and Lisa Guerrero (the host) has had a successful career as a broadcast journalist. What other PMs have had success outside of the entertainment biz? As far as acting careers aside from Pam Anderson, Kelly Monaco has done well as a General Hospital actress and Donna D'Errico has had a moderate yet steady acting career.
  2. The only Bridgerton spin-off I'd want is a Smythe-Smith series. I'd love to see a showrunner pick up Kleypas' Wallflower and Hathaway series.
  3. Saw episode 12. Poor Susie didn't know those outtakes were on porn sites. I had no idea either, but I'm not trolling for porn. LOL What makes the outtakes more scandalous than the pictures that make it into the magazine? I can understand not being happy that unflattering pictures of you are out there, but it was made to sound like they were not the 'art' PB tried to portray. In between poses, did a woman accidentally show something she didn't want while she adjusted her pose? I'm glad these women have each other now. Hef always made it sound like he was faithful when married, but we now know that's a big honking lie. As far as Hooters, yeah, it's weird, but I had some sorority sisters that worked there back in the 90s and got great tips. They tended to get better tips than our friends that worked at Applebees or similar place. I think the only time I've been in one is back in October 1995 watching the World Series and it happened to be a convenient place in walking distance from campus.
  4. She's married again: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10688039/Christina-Haack-legally-married-realtor-boyfriend-Josh-Hall-taken-surname.html
  5. I get the feeling that Keith was just as bad, but that's just my gut.
  6. Miki seemed to be the true Playmate mother figure, if you will. She would warn the young women to not go to the house and explain that nothing good comes from going there, but sometimes they'd ignore her. I'm sure she was afraid to go in detail, but I think she did the best she could at that time.
  7. I've gone back and watched some of the GND episodes with the Holly and twins interviews in mind. Now I see the dark undercurrent. If you have Prime, you can watch the eps free with a couple of commercials. I only watched the one episode (the last season first ep) with the twins and Crystal. Back when watching the show I had viewed Mary as sort of a house mother, but now I see her as way more sinister. I know she was just doing what her boss asked and she'd been at that job for so long; I'm sure it would have been hard to start over, and I get that Holly views her a bit different. She was there for her when she moved out and needed a place to crash in between residences. So I get why she may have a sense of loyalty. But, geez, Hefner was a vile sack of skin.
  8. Luke Newton (Colin) had a pop career https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10676797/Bridgertons-Luke-Newton-secret-pop-career-stripped-naked.html
  9. It could be funny if the main characters know about Harry and the comedy is them preventing outsiders from knowing the secret.
  10. If I remember correctly, the current Swedish princesses got 'starter' tiaras at 18. Madeleine's was a beautiful aquamarine.
  11. IMO, Bella wasn't plain, but saw herself that way. Also, him not hearing her thoughts is what intrigued him, and as far as every guy asking her out when she first moved to Forks... Well, I grew up in a small town and when a reasonably attractive girl starts the new high school, the guys are drooling and talking about how hot she is. That part of the Twilight book is legit. I saw that firsthand.
  12. Of course this is fiction so I don't know how it could have worked in real life, but even though the Bridgerton family is 'only' a viscountcy, they are very wealthy and old. The sons may have had trusts set up for them from the beginning and wisely invested and the daughters have dowries. They don't seem to gamble or spend senselessly. In a future book (won't say what book or which son) has a cottage though it's more like a large country house though not a manor by any means, and it's not tied to an estate. I can't imagine a family maintaining good relationships between siblings, but the siblings are left to be poor while the first sperm and egg gets it all. I'm reminds of the Spencer family (as in Lady Diana). They were originally a viscountcy and later upgraded to earldom in the 1700s, IIRC.
  13. I wonder why Crystal married him. I don't get what either of them got out of it. He wasn't wealthy at that point if money was a factor, right? If he didn't want to die alone, he still had that creepy doctor.
  14. I related to Bridget the most and Kendra the least. I liked that she had her MA and I had just gotten mine a few years before. I also liked her cat over those yappy dogs. LOL She also seemed the nicest.
  15. Agree. I never ever would have thought he could still perform sexually and the multiple girlfriends were for show, and that's the reason they could present the 'big happy family' facade. The twins thought the same thing and they also had no idea what going to his room meant. I would think, "Okay, we'll go up, watch movies, have drinks, blah blah blah." I wonder if Kimberley Conrad will ever say anything? I imagine not because of her sons. I think groom is the appropriate word. I think he did the same with Kendra, but she didn't go into it with the naïveté the twins did. They just turned 19, and had bad family backgrounds, but in many ways, very innocent and immature (like any 18/19 year old). I hope they do find peace and this first step of talking helps them.
  16. About to watch the new ep, but in the overall picture, where did his hatred of women come from? Was it because his first wife cheated on him? It also seems that he had to propose a few times to get her to say yes. Is that where it stemmed? Edited to add: OMG. My heart breaks for those twins. And Kendra had them go upstairs. I reinforces when Miki (I think that's her name) would always tell women to never go to the mansion. Do your photoshoot and publicity, but that's it.
  17. Was just surprised Kate didn't have some sort of wedding ring. When we flash forward of them boinking (I wasn't sure at first if it was a flash forward), I was looking for a ring.
  18. Edwina was a bit of a nerd (a beautiful one) and fell for an academic of noble family though he wasn't titled, if I'm remembering correctly. It shows her not just being the beautiful swan being fawned over, but a young woman with academic interests and smarts and finds love with someone like herself. Are we to assume the queen set her up with her prince nephew?
  19. I hope they stop straying too far from the source material. There's a reason why the books were popular. Season one stayed pretty close. I can understand if they condense like if they have Benedict and Colin's books combined for season three. And if Daphne is going to be around, either hire Rege to do some guest spots or recast Simon. She can't always be leaving her husband at the country estate.
  20. Jill Ann's book was written when there were way more girlfriends. I wonder if things changed when it down to three? I haven't read Izabella's book, but Holly's (IIRC) doesn't get into the nitty gritty (and ew factor) of what going out Wednesdays and Fridays meant. RIP Jill. I think her book is the only one that 'goes there.' Holly does talk about how the ratings fell when the three were gone and E thought they could be replaced with other random blondes. I'm sure that was Hefner's point of view. The women were the stars of the show, not him and I bet he hated that, but the show was called "The Girls Next Door" and not "The Creepy Old Man Next Door." Holly has probably had to have A LOT of therapy to deal with having been with him all those years. I think a lot of the past girlfriends had a Stockholm situation going on. Doesn't Izabella have a law degree from Pepperdine? Why on earth would she waste time at the mansion? Go tackle the world of law! Bridget has a Masters and I didn't understand that either.
  21. From what Holly has said, Bridget is writing a book. Hopefully she apologizes for that.
  22. Ugh. Reading the Jill Ann book and here's a part about Michelle's daughter (don't think that's her real name): Wish I could find the pictures that went with the book.
  23. I was hoping for a Smythe Smith cameo.
  24. When I saw the title of the episode, all I could think of is "Hungry Like The Wolf." LOL
