  1. I totally agree with you that at least some of Gracie's attitude might have to do with the knowledge that she & Charlie share both parents rather than just their mother, like everybody originally thought/was told. I even remember saying so in a previous post, likely from last season, & having someone disagree with me (which is fine, different strokes & all that). So I'll go on the record as agreeing with you. I just would maybe kinda like seeing Gracie & 1 or both of her parents talking about how she feels about all that, or Danny telling Steve she was talking about it with him &/or Rachel. I'd also like some sort of acknowledgement of the state of Rachel's marriage to Stan in light of all of this; especially since I think both of them mentioned to Danny the marriage was in trouble before Charlie was born. Just as a point of interest, the cast/character list for this ep, which comes with the ep description used to start the thread (but isn't posted here with it), has Charlie's last name given as "Williams" as of this episode--he's "Charles (or Charlie) Williams" now, instead of "Charles William Edwards", as in S5 & 6. So I guess we're to believe all the paperwork to officially correct his biological father's info went through.
  2. In reading this week's blog about the episode & the show in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, I learned an interesting bit of trivia. Helen St. James (I think that's her name), the actress who played the lady Max said was literally scared to death, is the real-life mother of actor Martin Starr, who plays (played?) Toast, Five-0's favorite pakalolo (pot)-indulging computer hacker. I'm happy Max & Sabrina got married (they were 1 of my choices for the "secret wedding" couple hinted at awhile back). But I kind of wish we'd gotten to see the wedding (even though the show never shows us enough of character weddings when there are any), & I'm wondering if they got married where Max was stationed on his Doctors Without Borders experience, or if they did it in Honolulu between when he got home & went back to work at the ME's office. I hope that means we'll see Rumer Willis back as Sabrina sometime, though it seems like winning Dancing with the Stars a few seasons ago opened up a lot more career opportunities for her & made her a lot busier.
  3. Gracie already was kidnapped, in an act of revenge by Danny's corrupt Training Officer & ex-partner in NJ whom Danny helped imprison for his crimes, back in S2 when her brother Charlie was still a newborn. But I get your point. I don't like angsty teenager Gracie that much either; I don't know why the writers felt she needed a "personality transplant" from the sweet girl at least some fans loved, unless it has to do with a storyline still to come. I mean not all teenagers act, in real life, the way Gracie's been written last season & this season; a bunch of them behave the way Gracie's character was written before the last 2 seasons.
  4. I don't know whose list I ended up on, or why, but yesterday & the day before (I don't know about today yet), I got mail from some organization I don't remember the name of saying my voting record over a certain period they cite doesn't match the rest of my state's--mostly because I choose to only vote in the Presidential elections. I get they're just trying to encourage me to vote more, so I guess it's "reverse intimidation" if any intimidation at all, & I'm basically ignoring it because I'll vote whenever I wanna vote, thank you very much!
  5. I don't think I've ever gotten an "I Voted" sticker. I know I've never gotten 1 with my absentee voting materials, or after they've gotten my ballot back. I don't think I got 1 the first time I voted, when I did it in person, either.
  6. In Indiana, we have to apply/re-apply for a mail-in absentee ballot for every election in which we wanna use that voting option. I get that people's circumstances may change & that may not be a permanent thing for some, but I also wish--assuming they keep records of who's applying for mail-in ballots--after you apply for a certain number of mail-in ballots in a row they'd just come to realize your situation is obviously permanent & they'd automatically send you a ballot without having to go through the application rigamarole every time; especially since they never seem to dispute a request for a mail-in ballot to start with. You have to declare a party in the Primaries here too. Since I consider myself an "issues" voter over a "party" voter, & will sometimes vote for Republicans though I consider myself more aligned with the Democrats since I began voting, I usually skip that election & just vote during the Presidential-related General Election when nobody asks, or cares about, which party you align yourself with most.
  7. https://mobile.twitter.com/THR/status/792095813723758592?p=v Matthew, Keri & the showrunners will be on The Hollywood Reporter's TV Talks panel. It can apparently be watched somehow; details should be linked in the linked Tweet.
  8. In case some haven't heard yet, SNL is planning an election-related special for November 7th. That's what I've heard, anyway.
  9. Sue & Mel have a new gig. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/28/mel-and-sue-bbc-lets-sing-dance-comic-relief?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter
  10. The world's (& Japan's) oldest royal, Prince Mikasa of Japan, dies at age 100. http://people.com/royals/japans-oldest-royal-prince-mikasa-dies-at-100/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag
  11. I completed & returned my mail-in absentee ballot yesterday afternoon. If POTUS 45 isn't female, the mother of a daughter named Chelsea & the grandmother of grandchildren named Charlotte & Aidan, & the FLOTUS to Bill Clinton's POTUS 42, among other things, it's not my fault!
  12. Trump's star is apparently for hosting The Apprentice or The Celebrity Apprentice; he got it in 2007, in the Television category. At that time, people in "reality" television were eligible to be honored by the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They only enacted the "no reality (or internet) stars" caveat after the Kardashians achieved fame, because they were apparently getting too many requests by Kardashian fans (maybe also Kanye, on Kim's behalf) trying to get Kim, perhaps the other family members as individuals, or perhaps the family as a whole, honored with a star & the people making the requests weren't following the CORRECT process for nominating a celebrity for a star, among other things. The CORRECT procedure for nominating an eligible celebrity for a star is on the Walk of Fame's website (walkoffame.com), for what it's worth. And they also probably enacted the "no reality stars" caveat because they don't want the Kardashians on the Walk of Fame any more than at least those of us interested in pop culture/Hollywood history want them there.
  13. I'm responding to your mention of the new Philippine President, President Duterte, because I'm half Filipina (female) through my Dad. During the Filipino election, I saw a number of US media outlets refer to him as "the Filipino Donald Trump".
  14. Yes, it's the 150th episode. CBS apparently got a little behind in posting the press releases this week. Here's their version, which has a bit more info in my opinion.
  15. It's 1 of the other threads in this Current Events & Politics forum. If it's not on the first page, keep looking for it.
  16. They've arrested the guy who destroyed Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star. He's been charged with suspicion of felony vandalism. He hasn't been named yet, at least not at the time the linked article was posted, but apparently will be once he's been booked. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/trumps-hollywood-walk-fame-vandal-suspect-arrested-941681
  17. Not only do they probably want not to share with Marla's kid, I'm guessing they don't want to share with Melania's spawn either. But he's only 10 so he's not an immediate "threat" to either getting a job at the Trump Organization or getting his share of dear ol' dad's money once he kicks the bucket. Let's face it, the more spawn Trump produces, the smaller the eldest 3's inheritances(?) get. Which I'm sure they're not happy about.
  18. Trump, Melania, & his adult spawn were interviewed on GMA this morning, by George Stephanopolous. Trump said that the media poisons the mind of the voter (Melania said, as FLOTUS, she's going to do something having to do with teaching people how to use social media "correctly"... I think she thinks she means trying to cut down on bullying on those sites). http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/donald-trump-gma-poison-media-assault-twitter-grabyourwallet-941659?utm_source=twitter Trump & family were interviewed at the opening of his new hotel in DC. And at some point yesterday, Trump criticized Hillary for (apparently) going to Adele's concert in Miami the other night (where Adele apparently "endorsed" her although Adele can't vote here since she's from the UK). So it's OK for Trump to take time from campaigning to open his new hotel, but it's not OK for Hillary to take a couple of hours off to go to a concert, if she could get tickets to it? Hypocritical, much?
  19. They said yesterday he got coverage from Deadline & TMZ. The story was also on The Talk, where the consensus was he was just looking for attention. Trump originally got the star in 2007, in their TV category, presumably because of his gig hosting whichever version of The Apprentice was airing at the time. And I don't dispute he probably bought it for himself as a "vanity" thing. Although now they say "reality" stars aren't (supposed to be) allowed to get them (apparently because they're trying--rightfully, in my opinion--to keep the Kardashians from getting them).
  20. That's the case in Indiana. You can't just write in anyone's name. It has to be on our state's official list. They mentioned that, for some reason, on 1 of our local newscasts in the last week or so. Oddly enough, I think I've voted Absentee by Mail at least since Bill Clinton ran for re-election (I'm mobility disabled, which has gotten worse in the last 2 years, & it's just easier than waiting in the lines at my polling place; I did vote in person during the 1st Clinton election, which was the 1st time I felt there was a POTUS candidate I could support though I turned 18 in 1981 & could vote for President as of 1984). While at least certain races on the paper ballot you're supposed to use to complete the computer card your votes will be counted from show a Write-In option, I don't believe I've ever gotten a list of our official Write-In candidates with any of my Absentee Ballot packages. I know I didn't get 1 this year. Not that I'd ever actually vote Write-In, but why give people a write-in option but tell them they can only use an approved list of names for that option & then NOT give them a copy of that list of names with their voting materials? That makes no sense to me, except that they're trying to discourage that.
  21. Have you Googled to see if you can? Or tried calling your local election board to ask if you can? I'd try those things. It may only be possible if you're not voting on Election Day though.
  22. This is from yesterday (fell asleep before I could post it): They're apparently planning to put Trump's star back on the Walk of Fame, but it'll take awhile, apparently because of the manufacturing process. This isn't a special case, they'd do it for any other star damaged in a similar manner. They're also gonna do something to protect it (they hope) from further damage. This link also has footage of the guy ruining the star--yes, he apparently filmed himself wrecking it & posted it online. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/donald-trumps-walk-fame-star-destroyed-by-vandal-lapd-investigating-941378?utm_source=twitter
