  1. Jamika has also been working with The Chew on ABC. I've seen her on it multiple times since her original FNS appearance. I'm rooting for her; I don't get why FN is still trying to make Danushka happen--like the poster upthread with Joshua or whichever former contestant.
  2. Jeff's last name is spelled Mauro, not Morrow. I assume that's who you were talking about anyway. And Melissa's last name is D'Arabian, or maybe d'Arabian; I'm not sure if the D is capitalized or lower case.
  3. And here's the third... NFL Hall of Famer & former Seattle Seahawk Cortez Kennedy dead at age 48. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/05/23/hall-of-famer-cortez-kennedy-dead-at-48/
  4. I'm almost positive we knew about Michelle Shioma's daughters before her most recent appearance, where Five-0 threatened her with losing custody of them.
  5. Here's a link to a better (retyped), more easily readable, version of the new CBS Watch! magazine interview with Alex that's also discussed in the post above. Take note that the pics posted with this version are not those used with the interview in the actual magazine or seen in the link in the above post. https://alexoloughlinintensestudy.wordpress.com/2017/05/19/alexoloughlin-road-less-traveled/
  6. Apparently Chris Cornell had a prescription for Ativan, which his family thinks may have had a part in his death--he may have taken too many, which impaired his judgment resulting in a possibly accidental suicide. I don't think I'm explaining this well, or correctly. It'll be better if you read the linked article. http://variety.com/2017/music/news/chris-cornells-family-prescription-drugs-may-have-influenced-suicide-1202436611/
  7. Multiple media sources are saying Chris Cornell's death was suicide by hanging.
  8. Alex is 1 of 3 CBS stars on the cover (3 different covers, 1 with each star) of the new issue of CBS Watch! magazine (put out by the network). Subscribers are currently getting/awaiting their copies in the mail; if you don't subscribe & want a copy, I think Barnes & Noble carries it. I don't know the issue date though. Sorry. Anyway, in the interview Alex lists the many physical injuries he's incurred during filming over the last 7 seasons; among these are a couple of herniated discs in his lower lumbar area of his back, for which he's been receiving stem cell treatments & which may have been his main impetus for saying in the Australian media that he wanted to leave the show at the end of S8, if it reached & ran through an 8th season. Anyway, in this interview Alex says that the stem cell treatments have been like "magic" on his back & he can now see himself doing another season or 2 of the show (assuming, of course, the show gets renewed for at least S9 this coming Spring). So, if CBS is willing, there's apparently hope this coming season won't be the show's last. Here's a link to where the entire interview, plus the photos, are screencapped & posted if anyone's interested. It may not be the easiest to read here, but it's the best I can do right now; if I get a better link I'll post it. You can at least see the pics. https://h50koolaid.wordpress.com/2017/05/18/h50-alexoloughlin-cbs-watch-magazine-june-2017/
  9. CBS has released their Fall 2017 Schedule within the last hour. We're still in the Friday at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central time slot, with Lenkov's MacGyver reboot still as our lead-in at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central & Blue Bloods still closing the night at 10PM Eastern/9PM Central.
  10. Yes, when Grace Park was pregnant in real life between the end of S3 & midseason of S4 they wrote her off of the show. She & Adam went on the run from Adam's brother Michael's Yakuza allies, whom it was felt would go after Adam & Kono after Adam killed Michael in self-defense when Michael was trying to kill Kono. They somehow maintained contact during this with Chin. Once all of Michael's allies had been captured (aka Grace P had given birth), Adam & Kono returned to Hawaii. We don't know if Grace P is pregnant again, or not. She didn't even make any official announcements about it during her time off in S3 & 4. So why would she now? As for leaving without Adam, someone pointed out he was probably on parole (they actually mentioned he was when he went to help when Chin's niece, Sara, was kidnapped), & therefore couldn't leave Hawaii. As for leaving without the rest of Five-0, well, they gotta stay in Hawaii & do what they usually do. As far as I know, CBS still hasn't officially cancelled Julie Benz's other show Training Day. If for some reason Grace P has been permanently written out with her cliffhanger, I hope they can get Julie on full time. I like her. Charlie was probably at the party & not Grace because he'd already spent much of the day with his dad, Danny, & Uncle Steve; Grace, being a typical teenager, probably wanted to hang with friends her own age, or had some other commitment. Also Zach Sulzbach, who plays Charlie, lives in Honolulu; Teilor Grubbs & her family moved to LA during this past season, to try to expand her opportunities for work--so she'd have had to commute for a basic cameo. As for why Mrs. Grover's absence, for example, wasn't explained, half the time they don't bother to explain the now regular absences of your much-hated Danny/Scott Caan. So you REALLY expected them to explain why the characters who weren't at the party missed it? And I find it interesting you don't give a crap where Danny is, but you seem to expect explanations for everybody else's absences. If Samantha Grover were doing a study abroad program, it's doubtful her mother would go with her. I've never known of any parents who went with their children. Besides, Grover just said (twice) earlier this season that Samantha was accepted by Northwestern University & she wouldn't be starting there, theoretically, until this fall. Steve DOESN'T have cancer...yet. Right now he's being treated for radiation poisoning, as a result of moving that dirty bomb earlier in the season, but the implication is that he could end up with cancer in the long term as a further result of his proximity to the dirty bomb.
  11. The wedding was offscreen, during the first half of the season but before ep 13. It was between Max & his girlfriend Sabrina, who was the bank teller who got shot in a robbery while Max was in the bank a few seasons ago. She was played 2-3 times (I think) by Bruce Willis & Demi Moore's eldest daughter, Rumer Willis. And I say the wedding was before ep 13 last season because (I think) that was Masi Oka's last episode (at this point) as Medical Examiner Max Bergman. He left the show because he felt the character had done all he could. His character, Max (with Sabrina), went off to join Doctors Without Borders in Madagascar. He had been on a sabbatical, working with them, earlier in S7.
  12. Dave is the recipient of this year's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, presented by/at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/david-letterman-get-nations-top-prize-comedy-1004241
  13. Jimmy Kimmel has been chosen again to host the 2018 Oscars; the producers from this year's show have also been asked back for 2018. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/oscars-jimmy-kimmel-return-as-host-2018-honors-1004217?utm_source=twitter
  14. He won his Emmy for playing Jim Jones. It was in what I think is now, if it wasn't then, a category in the TV Movie/Limited Series genre (like maybe where the FX OJ Simpson project was placed in at the most recent Emmys). And he crossed a picket line (either an actors or writers strike) to attend the ceremony &, it turned out, to collect his Emmy.
  15. Emmy-winning character actor Powers Boothe dead at age 68. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/powers-boothe-dead-agents-shield-sin-city-actor-was-68-1003667?utm_source=twitter
  16. Bradley Whitford gave the commencement speech to this year's graduates of the USC School of Dramatic Arts. It's pretty funny; runs about 23 minutes & change & was posted by USC. Enjoy!
  17. Regarding the bolded: Some TV-related sites (see my most recent post in the Media thread) are speculating that the radiation poisoning storyline was started in the event Alex O'Loughlin chooses to follow through with leaving the show at the end of S8 (he said this in an interview with an Australian newspaper which was published in the early-mid part of this just past S7, I think; I'm also pretty sure it's mentioned somewhere in the Media thread). At the time Alex said this--he thinks he'd be ready to leave at the end of S8--S8 had yet to be announced, but he said he thought he'd be ready to leave then because of the physical toll the show has taken on his body, from doing stunts that didn't go quite right or that he did himself though he probably should've left them to the real expert stunt doubles (among other things, he's got a bad shoulder/unrepaired injury all the way from S1--he needed surgery on it, but has never had it because of the impact it might have on his activity level during filming). He doesn't want to let his body get too much more beat up so he can still function well enough to play with his (eventual) grandchildren, he also said in the interview (& probably he wants to be able to play with his still young son & stepson with his wife Malia). I don't know how far ahead a script has to be ready (just that it does so they can prepare/book all the necessary elements--costumes, sets, locations, stunts, etc.) in time for the anticipated start of shooting. A few seasons ago, in the 2nd ep with Jorge Garcia's Jerry character (the ep with his & Chin's High School Reunion) they did a "create an episode" thing where the viewers could vote on various elements of that ep but I forget how far in advance of the episode the different elements were voted on (you voted on the CBS website for 1 element a week for at least a month, as I remember). Having said what I said in the previous paragraph, I'm reasonably sure that the actual script was written after Alex did that Australian interview (so they probably knew he said he thinks he might not go past S8 if the show itself does) although I think they work on ideas/outlines for all the anticipated episodes' storylines as far back as the beginning of the season (for this ep, they may have brainstormed the sex trafficking aspect that far back then worked on the cliffhanger type stuff--Kono going off to chase the traffickers/help with the Nevada end of the investigation & Steve discovering he has radiation poisoning which will probably have negative effects in the long term--closer to when the script was due/the ep was to start production (which, I think, was in the last 1-2 months).
  18. From TV Line: Wondering if 1 of the cliffhangers in the season finale is meant to set up the previously rumored departure at the end of S8 of 1 of the main cast members (unless, of course, said cast member [NOT Scott Caan] can be convinced/decides to continue IF H50 is renewed for a 9th season in Spring, 2018... which could be entirely possible if the ratings continue the resurgence they seem to have started in this just-concluded season). Includes a response Tweet from Peter Lenkov posted after the show. http://tvline.com/2017/05/12/hawaii-five-0-recap-season-7-finale/
  19. Besides the IMDB stuff @blackwing mentioned, among other things Scott's also a published & produced playwright (2 of his plays were produced at the local LA theatre owned by the late Garry Marshall during the hiatuses between S2 & S3 & S5 & S6--or whichever hiatus was the same as when his almost 3 year-old daughter was born). And he teaches acting classes with his friend, Val Lauren (who was in the S1 finale--the guy who helped set up McGarrett & got his eyes pepper sprayed in the military surplus store); they were teaching at Playhouse West but right now they're teaching at a facility owned by actor James Franco. And he's also a published photographer with 2 books of his photos to his credit. He also recently participated in a fundraiser for A Walk on Water, a charity he's heavily involved with which teaches surfing (another passion of Scott's) to children with disabilities, & Scott himself is out there teaching them when he can. So he has legitimate stuff to occupy him during his time off of H50 (besides family & other loved ones).
  20. I think the last time we saw Renee Grover was probably back in S6. With that role, the actress (Michelle Hurd) was juggling 3 different roles on 3 different shows for this current S7. She was also in Ash vs. Evil on Starz & she had what sounded like a pretty big storyline in Blindspot on NBC, where I think she played a "big bad", as Peter Lenkov likes to call his villains, & she even had to do some location filming for that show in Thailand. I guess all involved thought Mrs. Grover was her most dispensable role of the 3 & they may not have wanted to recast if the actress has good chemistry with Chi McBride. Besides, it's not like Mrs. Grover was introduced at the same time as Mr. Grover or the kids; they didn't even cast their son until this season or last (S6).
  21. From Entertainment Weekly: Aaron Sorkin reflects on his final episode of The West Wing. (He talks about Twenty Five, the S4 finale & the last ep he wrote for the show) http://ew.com/tv/2017/05/12/the-west-wing-aaron-sorkin-final-episode/?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter
  22. Tweets on Twitter from James, Dulé, Maggie & USA Network (along with links to other entertainment media articles) confirming the news.
  23. It appears to be true. Here it is from a 2nd source. http://tvline.com/2017/05/08/psych-the-movie-revival-usa-reunion-holiday/
  24. I thought Steve said he did contact Homeland Security, but they had no intel/chatter on a threat to Oahu; so why would they offer assistance if they thought there was no threat? Also, @Bobbin, I'm pretty sure I heard them talking about diverting the plane/the possibility of it, but I think they said it wasn't possible for some reason.
