I also liked the lack of subtitles. None were necessary IMO. Chip hanging with the other street performers was the best. I think I actually gained some respect for Penelope. She's been truthful & up front with Chip all along. And I didn't miss Dale at all. Stop teasing us with losing Christina, show. That just can't happen. And Chip gnawing on that 6-foot sub was kinda gross.

CCB is also doing a couple of TV movies so she's out till April sometime. I don't mind Sunny at all, and it's pretty easy at times to tune out Jezebeladiah, especially when Joy is moderating. But Jed is totally unnecessary. Hopefully Whoops is out for the remainder of the week.

Yes, Daphne & Maddie are insufferable. Way too much tension surrounding what's supposed to be the happiest event of the season. Music was very good though.

I couldn't agree more. I was this show's biggest fan early on. Its potential was endless. I don't mind a little soap but there has to be some sensible consistency in the core relationships for a show to work. The acting remains stellar but that's not enough when the plots become ludicrous. Maybe this long break will be the band-aid it's needed.

Never heard of MHP before but I avoid cable news. She seemed quite long-winded, and the lisp did bug me.

Whoopi being a part of the ABC family & an award-totin' member of the academy, was likely obligated to shill for the show. The very least she could get away with IMO. You are so right, Cosmo. Whoopi hasn't worked at this gig, why start now? She is a more delightful person when back in must-show-respect mode for the "elite" group of peers - the ones who haven't yet distanced themselves from her real self. I'm sure when the cameras are off, they are more than happy to go their separate ways. The hospital/slouchy clothes Whoopi wore in the taped bits were probably spa accessories that came in her gift basket. That or protective stuff to keep the red carpets clean before the big show.
