  1. Well stated! This show is an equal opportunity offender. No one, no issue is safe. It's like their MO is to form a 5 second heartfelt, awww moment and then see how quickly they can destroy it. Everyone in Will's circle accepts him, as it should be. But nooooo. Let's bring on the Ann Coulter wannabe to blow that all to hell & let the haters breathe a sigh of relief. Same with the AA and addiction storyline. Real issues need some kind of respect. Yes, this is just a TV show. Meant to entertain, not teach life lessons, but dang. I like discussing events in TV shows but it's very hard to seriously discuss the rationale in this show when its producers don't give a shit. Spew! This really is Groundhog Day. ---- I wonder how well the live concert appearances are doing & if that affects the reason why Will & Layla stay on the show with dismal storylines.
  2. Thanks for the Nicolle hair update, @Cosmocrush! Seriously.
  3. Yeah, Whoopi, don't send the message to "girls" that they need to "put a little leg out there" to get noticed & get ahead. But wait. Didn't you do that to the dude from Game of Thrones last week? And yes, we know that your boobs drag the floor. I can see why Sunny took offense when the guy told her to stop wearing pants, that her legs are a great feature & she should wear dresses. Looks to me like Sunny DID take that advice though. She looks great because she dresses to suit her body. Then Paula said it was women who told her basically the same thing after she had her first baby. I agreed with Raven that we all, many of us anyway, tend to accentuate our best features when dressing. Depends on the mood. Guys do that too.
  4. Yippee! In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we get to watch Whoopi eat & try to talk at the same time! Good times!
  5. Frankie is a perv. Looks like his daughter inherited the creep gene.
  6. This show has writers? Seriously, it feels like they took all the most ludicrous, rejected plot ideas and fed them to us. Did we really have to hear ALL ABOUT Scarlett & Gunnar's angsty romance through the years? We're the ones who had to suffer through every single aspect of it. Maybe Deacon will be Teddy's cellmate in prison.
  7. Feel good episode of the season! Maybe of all time! 5 stars!
  8. "The Trouble with the Truth" This show can't HANDLE the truth!
  9. @TheGreenKnight wrote: I can grasp it if I feel that there's absolutely no one on the ballot who deserves my vote. It can be seen as a wasted vote by some - and some feel it is their duty to vote, period. Didn't Nicolle Wallace say she did not vote in the '08 election because of Palin?
  10. I didn't really mind Jedidamndiah today. She's a little easier to take when Paula's not there to back up the wingnuttery. Sarah Jessica Parker has a hard enough time trying to speak coherently, and Raven bugging the shit out of her didn't help at all. I love Rob Reiner and got a kick out of the Kardashian slam.
  11. I am applauding Whoopi in this clusterfuck with Rick Perry today.
  12. Thanks, GHScorpiosRule. I missed Friday's show w/Sheila E & the Prince discussion.
  13. No mention of Prince at all! I could have missed it tho cause I turned it off at Stacy's segment.
  14. Whoopi and Michelle gush all over Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Whoopi flings her leg onto the table top thinking it's sexy or something. I am an unabashed fan of Game of Thrones, so I can see why they would be verklempt. Oops, here comes Stacy London. *click*
  15. Padma Lakshmi joins the table to talk about sex on TV shows. Lord Gawd. CCB consistently acts like a 13 year old whenever sex is brought up. Joy said The Walking Dead perfectly describes her sex life. Heh. Ahhh, Padma is REALLY there to shill chai tea for Keurig.
  16. Show is live. Whoopi, CCB, Joy, Michelle, Paula. Whoopi is right-off-the-bat scolding people for not getting their information right before they verbally attack someone. You first, Whoopi!
  17. Thanks for this thread, Saoirse! Fallon's fumbling version of the after-party was almost as long as the clip.
  18. Just when I had reconciled myself to the disappointment that there would be no "The Prince Show" sketch w/ Fred and Maya....Bam! They saved them for the latter part of the episode. A very simple but honorable tribute to Prince and the excitement he brought to SNL. That after-party had to be a surreal blast.
  19. I really hope there's a separate thread for tonight's Prince SNL special.
  20. I wish Sherri would be given a meaty, quality roll in something. There's no doubt she has potential that hasn't been tapped, but it seems she can't shake the casting list of stereotypes. Precious was a good film, but dark. I doubt Lee Daniels had a problem setting the tone for Sherri's role.
  21. Yo-Puss! was grossly hilarious. Welcome back, Amy. I've missed you.
  22. Sherri is indeed a one - maybe two - note actor. Most of her roles are for the angry/smartass girl friend of the lead characters. Her "reality" & game show bits show her toothy, syrupy sweet & naïve personas. Revealing her contradicting true self on The Spew obviously didn't hurt her ability to get work. Contrarily, like Drumpf, Ann Coulter & Kanye West, the more outrageous she acts, the bigger her fan base becomes. They must all have the same agent/manager/booker/PR peeps. I don't get it.
  23. ARRRGGG! Enough already. Dammit.
  24. Okay, it's hard to believe no one could name the person on the 100 dollar bill.
