S07.E01: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be – Pre-Air Speculation and Live Chat
Fisher King replied to halgia's topic in S07
@iRarelyWatchTV36 - It's my opinion that FTWD didn't improve enough the 2nd season to make it watchable. I'm nowhere near ready for another sequel, although your Carl/Enid theory is plausible and could work with the proper creative production behind it. Back on topic - No matter what happens this Sunday night, there will be more than a few of us crying "foul" after the premiere. I truly hope they don't throw us another damned curve ball and keep us waiting til the mid-season finale for the big reveal. -

Is Negan a switch-hitter? -
It feels like they're wasting no time at all getting deep into the story. I'm liking it though. I thought it looked like Ann Dowd playing Naomi, Buddy's mother. The scenes with those two were great. Glad that Joni got away quickly instead of dragging out any endless torture.

Louie Anderson won an Emmy earlier for his portrayal of Mrs. Baskets! He gave a really sweet speech.

Thank you, @backformore, for pointing out the Whoopi/Beatles joke. I knew I'd heard it somewhere before as well. Billy Crystal used it for years in his act and SNL used it in a skit. You are also correct, @Former Nun, in that it may have been a "stock joke" among stand-ups. It is also attributed to Martin Mull and may have started out as an urban legend. Anyway - Miss Whoopi would raise holy hell if anyone stole her material but it's okay if she does because, hey! - she's a stah, baybee!

@kieyra ~ I think Aden's speaking of Daniel's mental state the 5 times he's had to ready himself for that fatal injection. I can't recall any scenes of Daniel strapped to a gurney, unless it was one where he was out of control and had to be restrained. Actually I think he DID have to be restrained after the molester dude in the next cell kept harassing him..Still, I don't think that's Aden's reference. Maybe someone else can help fill it in here. It's also quite possible - and this is strictly speculation - that we'll see a flashback of Daniel actually getting prepped to that point, and then getting a stay at the last minute. I like what Aden says here:

CCB has the mentality of some self-righteous, self-proclaimed Christians. Those ones who imagine they are constantly slammed just for being Christian. They act like victims or martyrs. She was bitching about having to defend herself before she even came on the show as a regular.

The after-show can be seen on the FB page at link below. As much as I loathe CCB, it really was rude for the loud boos when she made the "as a Christian" remark. Everybody should have their minute to speak no matter how ludicrous they are. It pains me so that CCB, Raven and Jediblahblah are back on this show!

Should be worth checking out - for David Simon alone. -
It hates me too, Cosmo! But I always slink back.

I read that someone heard CCB had signed up for another season. UGH! I've never heard of this site before but it has today's date and says that CCB's fate is still up in the air.

Bravo to Sara calling out Drumpf on his plea to Russia to find the missing emails. He can say he was joking or being sarcastic all he wants but she's right; wars have been started for saying crap like this by fools like him. "Help me, don't elect me!" ~ Joy

Thanks for that verification on the bus stop & the article, @ItCouldBeWorse! Am lmao at " the "feed my pet vampire while I'm out of town" stage of friendship." !! And I liked the honesty of the response to Emily's inquiry about where Tulip was going. "To kill a man in Albuquerque."- Hey that's where the bus stop is located, where the angels were (and Walt's BB spot). Yes, I'm in the desensitized-to-human-slaughter club due to all the shows mentioned. But lay off the critters.

Yes, the "like" button called in sick today. Something to do with Norovirus or Zika or something.

I truly hope not, @Vinyasa. Jedidamndiah gets on my last nerve. Not in the seriously-want-to-strangle-her way like Bitsy, but close. The best thing I can say about her is that she will laugh along with the others. Bitsy would never even pretend anything was humorous. I like Paula despite her oft-times defense of the despicable & trying to rationalize such.

I was glad to see Whoopi actually ASK the ladies to explain the Debbie Wasserman Schultz sitch so she could understand it, but then a minute later she goes off again on how people need to do their homework! Gah!

I don't know about you guys but the song the dude was singing in Chinese was beautiful & heart-wrenching. A nice little piece of pleasantry before the gunslinger rudely interrupts. I thought he might let the singer live but noooo. At least getting Michonne'd is better than the agony of bleeding out from a gunshot wound. I assume. I was still pretty miffed about Tulip feeding the dog to Cassidy last week. It was damned cold of Emily to lure Miles to the house for the same purpose. That looked like the same location where Walt waited to "disappear" in Breaking Bad. Not sure of the significance, but the design is really cool. ETA: Thanks for info about Miles & the murders. I feel better about his sacrifice to heal Cassidy now. And yes, the poor guinea pigs! Can we stop with the animal abuse now please, show?!

I as well, Telepath. It won't be too long now - hopefully.
