  1. Might be difficult to take stacks of unexplainable cash to the bank. As far as the cash being evidence, I thought about it. But the fact that they now have the guy on murder that the whole squad witnessed probably makes it less of an issue. At worse they can say items from the safe were not recovered. If he doesn't get convicted of robbery, murder of a cooperating witness would send him to prison for a long time.
  2. The fact that Hudson U has a code of ethics made me laugh. Also what is the point of the deputy chief? I mean Manhattan SVU has 5 cops. I you assume the other boroughs have the same then it is a deputy chief in charge of 25 officers. NYPD has like 35,000 officers so how does that work?
  3. I was impressed at first, although I realized that crossing a rope bridge is probably easy compared to balancing on a surfboard.
  4. Just watched the parking pitch and it seemed like something that would have been huge like three years ago. But I live in ottawa and most places I go already let you pay for parking on your phone. Including every city owned parjing space.
  5. I guess that makes sense for unique things. But I guess then you have to decide if you want to be the truck where people check it out because it is something unique and try it once for a special occasion or something where people hit it up regularly for lunch. Because it would seem to me that if you go for the unique option, and you are only making what they were making now, once a certain portion of your customers have tried the sandwiches once, I am not sure you would get a lot of repeat business.
  6. After watching that visor thing, I have never wanted to have Kevin back more than during that pitch. That thing was terrible, and I can only imagine how awesome Kevin would have ripped into him. The foodtruck was interesting. How the hell can you have 2 hour lines though? Who is going to go anywhere for lunch at 12 and then be cool with waiting until 2 to get there food? Plus the huge lines and the low amount or profit would seem to indicate that either you are really slow or you are not charging enough for the food. As for the new guys, Michael totally seems like someone who really wants to be on reality TV. With his look and all the hand gestures it is like he is trying to be some mini-Trump kind of guy. Not necessarily the same personality but more trying to market himself as a character rather than a person. I am surprised he doesn't have a catch phrase yet.
  7. I always wonder what happens with those rewards. I mean how would someone's digestive system react when for a week or two you have been surviving on 2 servings of rice and beans a day, and then all of the sudden you are gorging yourself on steak skewers. My guess is probably not very well. On the rewards where you get alcohol after basically fasting, it is probably even worse.
  8. I don't think they suffered enough either. Personally I don't think there should have been any kind of option for more rice. But if the producers decided that they had to, then they should have had someone from the other tribe come over to the blue tribe and negotiate for what it would take for them to get more rice. Because the orange tribe is the ones that got screwed over because they better rationed their rice, so in a way I think they should decide what more rice is worth for the other team.
  9. Wow I think I am actually really starting to like the show. I am as surprised as anyone. It makes it a lot better when the missions have serious stakes and the SHIELD team has more field agents than support people. Also Agent Morse is awesome. West Coast Avengers is one of my favourite comic series of all time, So how much money would I have to pay Disney to make a Marvel one shot short with Jeremy Renner, Adrianne Palicki and Don Cheadle where their characters go to California and meet up with a famous actor named Simon Williams?
  10. The fact that there was even an option to get more rice kind of bugged. I totally can't picture that option being available in the earlier seasons. Hell back in the day being the tribe provider was a legitimate strategy to make it to the merge. If there is no rice, find fish or bugs or something. The other team was eating crabs. Or eat tree leaves or find fruit. Jeff knew exactly how many days until the merge which makes it even more annoying. That bugged me to. I mean the other tribe had no tarp, and neither did the exile island people. How did they make out?
  11. The letters are kind of a stupid plot device though. Because they aren't really evidence of anything. They are just speculation from JT that Clay and Gemma wanted to kill him. Also speaking of Clay, didn't there used to be alot of speculation that he was Jax's real dad? Well Jax is acting alot like Clay lately. Lastly if they are protecting the mom and son to use as leverage against Marks, maybe it is time to use that leverage. I mean at this point what do you have to lose?
  12. If they made a point to show that the social worker was bad at his job, taking breaks all the time, or spending his day watching youtube, it would have been one thing. But he seemed like a decent over worked guy trying to help people as best he could. If everyone who thought their case was the most important and should be moved to the top of the pile, did what Severide and Sylvie did, he would never be able to get anything done. The scene with the mom was weird too. They confirmed that she was no longer drinking, that she fed her kid and that she had a restraining order against her husband. But they never asked anything about whether or not she beat her kid. A single parent who is not an alcoholic and feeds their kid good food can still be abusive.
  13. If you are a cop or some other kind of tough law enforcement/government type you can never answer your cell phone by saying "Hello". You have to say "yeah" or just state your last name.
  14. Man Gabby's whining was super annoying. I wish Hermann would have called her on it sooner, and more harshly. All he would have to say was "you learned this in the academy? Well my standards are higher, because if you screw up at the academy you fail, but if you screw up at the job I could die". Or "you are a candidate. This is candidate training. Is there some reason you feel you should get special treatment?" or even just "It's a 24 hour shift, do you really have anything better to do?". And the whole thing with the social worker bugged me. I get what Severide and Sylvie were trying to do, but it would have been more interesting if the social worker guy had gone through a few other cases in his pile and pointed out that the kids in those cases are in situations that are ijust as bad, if not worse than the situation that the kid they were trying to help was in.
  15. I finally got to watch the hammer clip with sound. It was cool but hpw is Cap already not worthy? He already died once to save people, what else does he have to do?
  16. I wonder if at some point the MCU is going to have to adopt a sliding scale timeline similar to the comics. I mean by the time Infinity War part 1 comes out, RDJ will have been Tony Stark for about 10 years. Up to this point at least, the same amount of time has passed in the real world as in the MCU. I mean sure they can continue to recast, but it could get to a point where Tony Stark has been Iron man for 20 years, and how would that work and be believable? Or alternatively do they start making things closer together like the comics, where everything that has happened in the comics since Fantastic Four #1 in 1961 has occurred within like a 12 year timespan.
  17. It depends on what the war is about. I mean if it is the registration thing from the comics, that sounds stupid. That said Cap 2 left off with him going to search for Bucky. So if 3 follows up on that it could be interesting. Especially if Bucky is the one who killed Stark Senior, that could be an interesting way to put Cap and Tony at odds.
  18. I used to watch Ace of Cakes, and Duff and his team were always using Styrofoam for sections of the cake to make them look cool. I wonder if the sharks, all probably having older kids forget how many boxes you end up with when you have little kids. We are always throwing boxes from diapers, wipes and anything else into our recycling box. We get our diapers from Amazon and the huge box of diapers comes inside an even bigger cardboard box sometimes. The thing was interesting but in the end kind of stupid. I had to laugh when someone brought up sugar packets and the guy said he had to pay for those. You know what you don't pay for, that works just as well? Beer coasters. Plus Kevin was totally right, slogging from restaurant to restaurant to sell maybe a handful of these things at a time would be a rough way to make money. And Barbara's comment about how she was able to earn extra tips in her waitress days was hilarious.
  19. He is a dirty cop. I assume that is the street tax, the money he takes off of various criminals in exchange for not arresting them. The pregnancy storyline is kind of interesting. I hope there isn't any kind of drama about whether or not Justin is the father, since that would be a kind of refreshing change from what you usually see on TV.
  20. What seems crazy to me is by the time Avengers 3 rolls around we will have introduced 21 characters who are avengers in the comics. We have cap, thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch, Vision, War Machine, Winter Soldier, both Ant-mans, wasp, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Mockingbird (agents of Shield), Daredevil, Power Man, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. I don't expect anyone from the TV shows to show up in the movie, but even without that I would have to imagine that there would have to be some cuts becuase I am not sure a movie with 15 Heroes would work, even a 2 parter.
  21. Problem with Hawkeye is that his comics character is the witty smartass. But the mcu already has a witty smart ass in iron man, so it is like they dont know what to do with hawkeye. As for panther he could be a big deal in the mcu if they wanted him to be. I mean he is as strong and as good at fighting as cap. Plus he is as smart as Tony Stark and as regal as Thor. Plus he is king of the most technologically advanced nation on earth.
  22. I think Taylor Schlling from orange is the newblack could make an interesting Carol. As far as avengers 3 being 2 parts, it kind of makes sense. I mean Avengers 2 is going to have something like 13 speaking roles: iron man, cap, hulk, thor, hawkeye, widow, war machine, fury, maria hill, quicksilver, scarlett witch, ultron and then some hydra baron von exposition type to explain who the twins are. Imagine how many characters part 3 will have. If everyone wants a decent amount of screen time you need more than 3 hours.
  23. It is possible that Scarlett in not interested in headlining a Widow movie. She is in crazy demand right now and last interview I read about it she was pretty non-committal.
  24. Black Panther has me excited. The Christopher Priest run was my favourite marvel comic back when I was reading comic regulalry. If they could adapt that into a movie it would be awesome. Inhumans and Captain Marvel movie could be good. I only really know Carol Danvers as Warbird and the only Captain Marvel I am familiar with is Genis-Vell (the original Captain Marvel's son), who I think could have made for an interesting movie too. Although the most interesting thing is that Disney/Marvel have given up on their 2 movies per year policy. Three movies in 2017 and three in 2018.
  25. Logan Echolls was a jerk but on the other hand look at his life within the span of the show. If you go from the year before the show started to the time the show ended, his girlfriend was killed, his best friend was the prime suspect, his mom died, his dad was revealed to be the murderer of his girlfriend (who he was sleeping with at the time), a bunch of his friends died on a bus that he was almost on, his dad died, another kid committed suicide right in front of him and a guy he was friends with almost raped his girlfriend. Oh and his father was also physically abusive to him. If that is not a recipe to turn a teenager into an asshat I don't know what is.
