  1. Maddie? Huh. I was sure the last person would be either of the guys.
  2. I'm with you. If this is going to teaching be a Very Special Lesson every week I'm out. Tackle issues sometimes, sure. But I'm not here to be shown an after school special.
  3. Sorry for the bad news, but all three are coming back next season. I figured Katy's salary would deter them from hiring her back, but they must love her antics.
  4. That D Capella group that did the sing-ins from the breaks were more like D-minus Capella. Yikes, my ears. I found the mute button fast
  5. Amen to that. I wanted Dennis to go through, but whatever.
  6. I normally watch about half of the Saturday night Hallmark offerings and then catch up the next day, but I actually stayed up until 11 to watch all of The Beach House. It was so well done. I'm not usually a fan of Andie's acting, but she was not bad in this. And the same for Chad Michael Murray. He was so good in the role I sometimes forgot it was him. I want to find the book now.
  7. I was neutral on Miles before this one, but after Jack's cruel-to-the-extreme behavior I'm pretty much pro-Miles and anti-Jack now. I want Jack taken down. And it needs to be worse than having a non-teaching job in Toledo. And the lady teachers can go away.
  8. The thing that gets me with the Aurora Teagarden movies is her unrealistic income. She's not even head librarian and yet can afford that huge new house by herself? Not to mention her nice car and endless wardrobe. Is she actually an heiress who just works in a library for fun?
  9. I keep expecting Steve Zahn to mention the Rooftop Killer You've Got Mail reference
  10. I can see Catie going on since America voted her in, but Adam won't go further without the judges intervening. And they had better be done with that. Just let America do the picking. I've had enough of Katy Perry and Lionel telling us who we should have voted for and then "correcting" it. BTW, I told Luke Bryan on his Twitter page that they need to let America decide from now on, and he "liked" it, so perhaps he agrees. That would be great.
  11. Jennifer Hudson did not win. She came in 7th on her season
  12. Hildi has been known to go grab furniture from other rooms to paint and mutilate. That should be against the rules, and probably is. But Hildi doesn't care at all.
  13. No, Amy said they had broken up a couple of months ago.
  14. Adam's shtick is really starting to bug me. He has said himself this is not how he actually lives his life. It's basically a costume. A foot in the door that no one dare criticize. Well, buddy I'm criticizing. This is not the venue for performance art. Man up and sing as you. Stop hiding behind ghastly makeup and grandma's wardrobe. Fingers crossed that 'Merica doesn't vote for this to continue.
  15. That pretty much sums up how I watch Adam in his hideous makeup and dresses. Not that the screechy Defying Gravity did my ears any favors, either.
  16. During Maddie's song I was thinking, if Simon were still a judge he'd ding her for not changing it up at all. I thought it sounded exactly like the original. It was very well sung, just no different. And I'm old enough to remember that song well. Marcio is amazing, but dang, man up dude. I can't stand the tears every time. I was even laughing a little. And then there's Adam. Adam, you don't need to perform in drag to get confidence. It looks clownish. You have the voice, now drop the costumes and just sing.
  17. He killed Nick? I didn't get to see that part thanks to ABC news cutting in at the end. This show is beyond ridiculous and there isn't one character I care about, but I had decided to watch until the end after investing so many years into it. The end can't come soon enough.
  18. What? I can't even imagine that sentiment if you were talking about a black or brown person. Not okay at all. Gabby is country, and speaking as a non-country fan, I think she's pretty decent at it. Cade, however, is a pure pro. I try to not pick my horse this early, but he's in a league of his own.
  19. I know others have issues with the amount of time spend on judges' reactions, etc, but I find myself smiling through this auditions process for the first time, probably ever. I used to be so bored with it and couldn't wait for auditions to be over with. They'll get on to more serious singing in Hollywood and onward, but for now I'm just going to sit back and enjoy a bit of fun and silliness.
  20. 'I really liked this reboot. The judges are so much fun. I haven't heard a "winner" yet, but the girl with her dad was pretty good. I'm in for the season.
  21. I love this panel. They are smart, funny, and give great feedback. Idol's back and better than ever.
  22. I'm having a lot of trouble feeling bad for Mateo and his illegal status. Make it right, dude. If the rest of the season is about him skirting the law and using fake IDs or Social Security #s I'm going to be really upset with the writers. It's not cute and it's not funny.
  23. I don't dislike Jack as much as I do the 3 female teachers. They ruin it for me.
  24. It sounds like the ratings this year are anticipated to be among the worst ever, and deservedly so. I wish these shows would stop politicizing and president bashing and stick with awards. I will not be watching.
  25. I really can't stand Martha Plimpton, so I ff'ed all the therapy scenes. The doppelganger angle was somewhat interesting, though. I am kind of over John Noble after his run on Sleepy Hollow, but he was tolerable here. Very surprised Red let him get away.
