  1. I also think that Derek somehow crossed a line with Heather and wanted to go to the next level sooner than she wanted. However, I also don't think she was into him that much from the beginning - so, he would have had a very long wait. It is kind of sad for both of them and at the same time I think they are better off going their separate ways. I don't personally have a lot of "world experience" - one marriage a long time ago - etc... But, it is really hard for me to see how healthy young people like this can share a bed for crying out loud without wanting to do more than sleep. Wouldn't you have to be totally turned off by somebody to not want more? After all, they signed up to get married and to most people that includes a sexually intimate relationship. It's not like they went camping with a cousin and had to share a tent and make the best of it. But then - the whole concept - the whole "experiment" is bogus.
  2. I know - right?!? I was sitting on the couch watching this alone and said to him... well damn - wash your feet. So strange that they keep fixating on his feet. PS It is such a shame the people on this show can't hear all my helpful suggestions and comments! Ha!
  3. Snarklepuss ~~ I hope you have a good recovery. Something similar happened to me a few years ago and it isn't any fun. Hang in there, it will get better.
  4. Neurochick --- wow, I hadn't thought of it that way - even though in the first show (I never saw it before this season) we saw what looked like hundreds of people lined up, it hadn't occurred to me how a vast majority of those people wouldn't be considered for the reasons you mention.
  5. I find it so sad for Sonia that the best only friend she had in that home ended up being the little white dog. I don't doubt she experiences fear of dogs so find it admirable that she was able to adjust to the extent she did. That dog clearly loves Sonia and seemed sad when she went out the door.
  6. LillyLee - I agree - but, I think it is probably just another cliffhanger & keep 'em coming back thing.
  7. Ugh, this episode was the worst. I simply cannot take Dr. Pepper serious. That name - I mean, really? I think the letter writing assignment was only an attempt to keep Heather and Derek on the show and fill time. Speaking of filling time - this is the absolute worst show for repeating itself continually. Heather and Derek - please, for the love of God, just move on - Heather was right - it would never work. Tom and Lily - I have a glimmer of hope for them and think they are cute together; but, feel cautious about it because I think she's insecure and he's immature. We'll see. Nick and Sonia - I'm so over Nick, what a jerk he turned out to be. Even though she could be annoying - at least Sonia was trying. Nothing she did got her any approval from him at all. The very big thing of her trying hard to adjust to the dogs? Nah, he didn't care. He was purposely cruel to her - on camera - for the world to see - and it was totally wrong. Message for Nick - I zero care if you are straight, gay, or bi - but, you're a jerk and your personality stinks big time. I don't think you are shy. I think you are a self-absorbed ass. Message for Sonia - run girl run. Stop talking in question form all the time (it's silly) . Work on your confidence and go meet a guy that appreciates you.
  8. I don't understand why Nick is so insistent not to show any sign of physical intimacy - just baffles my mind. What exactly does he think Sonia will do? It is probably good he hasn't taken advantage of the situation and had sex yet if he really isn't into her; however, why wouldn't he at least test the waters a little bit. Good grief - I'm 66 years old and when I went to the 8th grade dance with a boy he held my hand and even tried to kiss me when his parents weren't looking. LOL
  9. TLC has another VERY big problem on their hands with this one. OMG, what a mess and SO sad for whoever was victimized.
  10. I wasn't as put off by Salvatore as much as some - the goofy jumping around seemed like something boys that age do sometimes. He is kind of a self-important little person, but that doesn't surprise me for a kid who has a chance to BE ON TV!!!! I did not like how he treated Lexi at all, so wasn't sorry to see him go; however, I felt bad when he cried. I do wonder if he would have acted that way if he had been paired with one of the boys - or for that matter, one of the other girls who seem more self-assured to me. One other thing - I laughed out loud when he complimented Tia at the start of the show - reminded me of Eddie Haskell (that's how old I am!).
  11. I've watched every episode I could catch on Masters of Flip and really like them. Some of her designs seem a bit risky to me but it is refreshing to me that they all look different - plus I think they are cute together.
  12. I agree with you SunnyBeBe - I believe that one of these days I'll be watching HGTV and a potential buyer will proclaim - OH NO, who lives like this - where are my walls - where are my rooms - I DON'T want to see everything and everyone ALL the time!
  13. I join those of you who watched this show and ended up pleasantly surprised. I haven't seen them all, but the ones I saw were pretty good. I keep thinking - wow, these kids are much nicer than most Chopped contestants! I thought they were competitive and yet good sports all around. Their cooking skills just amaze me. I couldn't even make pudding from a package at their age - and I tried and got into trouble for my effort (let's just say it involved a very messy kitchen and my mother coming home earlier than I expected). One more thing - I think Ted is the best! I'm not a big "fan" type, but would probably be a little starstruck if I got to meet him.
  14. I am just SO glad they stopped the sing-song "it's 5:00 somewhere" thing - really grated on me.
  15. I hate to admit it, but I knew that Charles Spurgeon was an old timey preacher. Ugh, I definitely should have led a more interesting life along the way! I do wish they would have just used Charles and let the poor kid have a normal legal name. I do like Quincy - sure beats Spurgeon.
  16. They look good, nice teeth!
  17. It bugs me that the theme is almost always - it is a slower pace here, we needed to slow down, we needed time for our family, etc. etc. If I need to slow my pace of life, it doesn't necessarily mean I need to move somewhere and even if I wanted to move to a small town or something to achieve that smaller community feel - it doesn't require moving to another country. I just don't get it. It's like TPTB just can't come up with anything else. Wherever you live, shouldn't you just decide to spend more family time?
  18. Aw Leighroda, I'm so sorry about your Mom. I bet she was really proud of you. Good luck in school.
  19. I just saw a commercial featuring Damaris, the product is Spice Islands. She is really doing well!
  20. I wish every child in the world had parents wanting to hug them and kiss them this much. When I watch the show it seems very sincere to me.
  21. I bet that FN can't force Lenny on their other people, thus the radio silence. All their stars probably said no way will I work with him. They may just plan to never mention him again and if anyone asks they can just say something like unfortunately, Lenny's schedule, etc. etc.
  22. walnutqueen - sorry you're having struggles. Don't feel alone on the age thing, I love me some Walter Brennan and his limp!
  23. I think the problem FN has with Lenny, as it relates to Ree, is that I just don't think there is any way to come back from what he said about her. It was so nasty, so random, and yet so personal. As far as I know there is absolutely no justification for it. So, what can they possibly do to fix it? I imagine they are just holding him off and eventually they will announce something vague like he is involved in too many other projects and they wish him well. I don't see how he could ever be trusted.
  24. I thought I would chime in on the story of the incomplete/sabotaged recipe - which, for the record I think is such a stupid and mean thing to do to someone, anyone, but especially one of your own kids! Anyway - has anyone ever had sort of the reverse of that happen? I've given people recipes they requested and then have them come back and say it didn't turn out right or wasn't as good or some such thing. Upon questioning I then find out they changed it up - sometimes a little and sometimes a lot. I just say well, it won't be the same if you change it! I have a recipe rule for myself - the first time I make something I try very hard to follow the recipe - after that, tweaking is ok. :o)
