It seems that people are speculating that Sami will dust off her old Stan costume to pretend to be Lucas’ doctor to keep the brain tumor scam going lol. It does fit with the picture the Stan actor posted a while back on set dressed as a doctor.

For some reason I had it in my head that Abby had cheated on her boyfriends a few years back (that Cameron guy and someone else, maybe Chad?). But I could be just misremembering things and sort of mixing stuff up with the Austin drugging and EJ affair. TBH I don’t pay that much attention to Abby so I could have things wrong heh. EJ also cheated on Nicole when he and Sami had “grief sex” in one of the most hideously horrible non- rape sex scenes I’ve ever seen lol. Yeah I agree that Chabby won’t break up, or not for long, so if they revisited EJ/Abby it wouldn’t be a long term thing. Also, to be fair, if they did revisit that hookup it wouldn’t necessarily have to be another affair. Abby and EJ could break up with Chad and Sami (temporarily or permanently) when the Gwen baby and Lumi sex is revealed. Kate’s probably also due to roll out the old welcome wagon again lol.

I’m not sure what is going on with the Abby actress and whether she will go on maternity leave or they will bring in the other actress etc. But if Gwen is going to be pregnant with Chad’s kid (or just lie and say she is) then I wonder if they will revisit EJ and Abby when he returns lol? The two habitual cheaters have been cheated on, so maybe they will cheat with each other again lol?

Ahh the Lumi flashbacks!!! I hope we actually get some cool old school flashbacks in the ep next week. We have to suffer through stupid flashbacks from the day before all the time, so can we at least flashbacks from when the show wasn’t totally awful??? Since we know AS is only on contract for a year (and will then presumably return to doing visits a few times a year), I don’t know what to think about how this triangle will end up. If she ends up with either guy they will probably get taken off contract and leave Salem with her. That can work for Lucas if they return him to how he was for the past few years, because he pretty much returned a few times a year like Sami does. It can also work for EJ if they get rid of the newbie when Sami leaves. However the guy they hired for EJ seems to be relatively young and a traditional “soap hunk” type. Maybe they will want to keep him around in Salem, so they will have him and Sami break up after a few months of love triangle drama and put him with others? Ava, Nicole, Gabi, Gwen are options. Even Allie and Claire if they want to be gross lol.

So it seems like there are pictures going around showing Sami and Lucas having bit of a smooch in the next few weeks. Probably Kristen walks in on them and this is what she uses to blackmail Lumi. Given we know EJ is returning, and Re-Ron has a fondness for cribbing old storylines, I wonder if we will see either Sydney or Johnny pop up? I could totally see Ron wanting to copy the "Sami sees Marlena and John having sex on the Titan boardroom table" thing, and having one of the kids witness Sami and Lucas hooking up. I know they tried to do that with Will years ago, but a) this is Re-Ron and b) that was kind of a flop anyway because Rafe isn't Will's dad.

Yeah I definitely think Charlie has a good shot of being the whodunnit murder. If Laura is murdered then Gwen is pretty much the only suspect. Whereas if Charlie gets killed then you have Allie, Lucas, Sami, Kate, Tripp, Nicole, Steve, John and Ava at a minimum as viable suspects. It has been said that Lucas, Sami and Allie have some kind of big story starting in March when Sami returns. Either a custody trial with Charlie or one of the three being arrested for Charlie’s murder seem the most likely to me. I can see them having Allie be arrested and put on trial for murder and Lumi dealing with that and trying to get her off. Lucas took the fall for Will before so if Allie is found guilty i can also see either him or Sami confessing (falsely) to save Allie and going to the same summer camp jail as Kristen for a bit. Or Lumi will conduct their own investigation due to Salem PD’s incompetence and then on the last day of the trial they will reveal the real killer in dramatic fashion.

Speaking of Madame D, given her talk with Eloise are we supposed to think that she somehow knows that Pen is Lady W and was keeping the secret? Or did she just think Eloise was bonkers but played along without understanding what was going on since she was romancing the 2nd B brother?

Everyone still talks about EJ like he's a zombie vegetable, so they don't even need to recast with an actor. Just wrap a blow up doll in bandages, throw on some sunglasses and they can Weekend at Bernies him for a bit. Then, Abby can sex the blow up doll to death as revenge on Chad for cheating with Gwen, and the problem is solved lol.

You know what is really annoying and adds to the grossness of the Allie rape thing - when she was sure it was Tripp based on some hazy drunk memories and deductive reasoning, and had a DNA test saying he was the father, it wasn’t enough proof for an arrest and it wasn’t enough for Steve and Joey etc to believe Allie. So now Allie thinks maybe she remembers Charlie (but frankly I’m not sure how her memory of him could be considered any more reliable than her memory of Tripp) and has the same DNA results and now Charlie is being arrested and Steve is sure Charlie is the culprit. Now I know Charlie is the rapist and I do want him to pay, but this whole thing is so infuriating. The same evidence that wasn’t enough proof for Steve because he didn’t want to believe his darling boy was a rapist is enough to convince him that Charlie is a rapist. Unless Charlie confesses to the cops, the evidence for Charlie and Tripp is exactly the same. What happens if Charlie’s dad pops up and says his darling boy can’t be a rapist because he looked him in the eyes and denied it? That ought to be enough for Steve to decide that Charlie must be innocent 🙄. The message to this story seems to be that we shouldn’t believe women if they accuse a “good guy” and it would be inconvenient for a guy like Steve to believe his son is a rapist, yet we should believe women if the accused rapist isn’t an established character with “good” legacy parents? Gah! Honestly, this whole story has made me loathe Steve and I want Kayla to dump his ass. Hell, she can hook up with Tripp and rub Steve’s face in it for all I care lol.

So, from what I understand the whole mystery Featherington heir wasn’t a thing in the books because Mr F was already dead right? Wasn’t there a similar plot on Downtown Abbey and eventually the cousin heir and one of the main character daughters fell in love etc? This was also a Bennett problem in P&P. I wonder if they will change Eloise’s book husband from being Marina’s husband to the new heir guy? I’m guessing Lady F may try to get the new heir to marry Pen or the other non-cheese aficionado daughter, but the other daughter has barely been shown. So i guess it could also be Pen, but they seem to be keeping her Colin obsession so who knows?

Yeah, the Pen reveal was shot to show her as sinister and smug, and kind of implied she was a Keyer Soze character who had been lying about everything. So the actress calling her innocent and sweet is a big disconnect because Lady W is just the opposite. But I guess we don’t know if the writers will treat her as a villain or try to play her as a sweet and innocent life destroyer who somehow isn’t aware of her own power. Since Daphne and Marina probably hate Lady W the most it would be interesting if they teamed up to try and expose Lady W. The most satisfying conclusion for me would be if Colin comes back from his trip and decides to propose to Pen because she is a trustworthy and reliable pal and he wants to avoid further heartbreak from the kind of passion he felt for Marina. Cue Pen’s awkward face as Colin repeatedly tells her how glad he is to be marrying his friend who keeps no secrets from him etc. Pen grapples with whether she should tell Colin she is Lady W but decides not to since it could jeopardize her dream or marrying him. Then at the wedding Marina and Daphne publicly expose Pen and Colin dumps her at the alter.

Okay, so if creepy Nigel was able to nearly get away with blackmailing Daphne into marriage by threatening to tell people he was alone with her, and thus ruining her reputation and possibly the whole family based on heresay, does that mean than any man could do the same thing to get a woman he wanted? Or would only powerful nobility be able to do this? Like, if a random merchant or footman etc. decided that marrying Eloise and claiming her dowry would advance his position in life, could he just threaten to do the same thing and try to force the Bridgertons to agree to marry her off to him? Or would a "lesser" man not be believed by the general public so his threat would hold no weight? Also, can women try to use this to their advantage to land a wealthy dude who would be compelled to do the right thing and marry them? Like, given the Fs live in close proximity to the Bs, if Mrs F was able to scheme to get one of her girls alone with Anthony in a room or on the street etc., could she then pop out of a bush and demand he marry daughter X to save her honour (even if nothing happened)? And when Pen found Colin in the empty corridor of his house to try and convince him to ditch Marina, would have this been grounds to ruin her since they were alone in a secluded place, and could she have tried the "marry me or I'll be ruined" thing?

They should take Willow's Wiley obsession to the next level and have her decide that Michael is an unfit parent due to his mob connections. Once her adoption of Wiley is finalised she should divorce Michael and go for sole custody (since the courts in PC don't seem to be too big on shared custody lol). She can give a whole sob story about how they were friends and she thought he was a legitimate businessman who was removed from the mob so she agreed to the fake marriage to protect Wiley, but after being married to Michael for 6 months she realised he needs his mob moll mother has to wipe his ass and his adopted father was "killed" in a mob war and Wiley is surrounded by violence. Throw in Michael being shot as a kid, and all his comments about how unfit Sonny and Carly are from the Avery custody trial, plus the Sonny killed AJ thing, and have Willow give tearful testimony about how Wiley shouldn't have any contact with Michael the mob apologist for his own safety. Then we can watch with glee at Michael and Carly's cracked faces when they realise that the "perfect" woman they drafted into their circle to keep Wiley from Nelle has turned around and taken Wiley from them.

I think the show did a poor job making sense of the motivations for a lot of characters, but I found Penelope to be the strangest. Now I have seen people say that Lady W was not as viscous in the books, but in the show she is downright brutal and seems to be purposely and gleefully peddling gossip that could ruin the reputations and lives of numerous women (and by extension their families). I could maybe understand why Pen would be purposely trying to ruin lives if she was specifically targeting people like Cressida who had been hateful to her and this was her way of exacting revenge. But we didn’t see Daphne do anything to Pen and she was Lady W’s biggest target. Not to mention, if Pen truly considers Eloise to be her friend and is in love with Colin, how can she sit there and lie to their faces everyday whilst actively targeting their sister and possibly bringing about the ruination of their family? What exactly is her motivation for this??? Then, after deciding to go nuclear with the Marina reveal, instead of just telling Colin to his face, she is sobbing and in hysterics over the ruination of her family that she deliberately caused! Honestly, Pen came off as having a split personality disorder or something.

I couldn't really take the whole "Simon doesn't want kids" plot point seriously when he was apparently raking it all over the country before marrying Daphne, and then having non-stop sex with her after their wedding. His little pull-out game was hardly reliable birth control and he should probably have had at least a couple of bastard kids running around out there. If they wanted to show that Simon was dedicated to his revenge pact then he should have refused to sleep with anyone ever in order to prevent pregnancy, including Daphne (before inevitably having a change of heart and consummating his marriage). But I guess that wouldn't fit with the overused "good girl tames a promiscuous rake who teaches her about pleasure" trope lol.

After watching all the episodes I came away feeling that Pen was an absolute sociopath! We were repeatedly told that any hint of a scandal can ruin a woman's chances of marriage, and therefore her life, and this can even trickle down to ruining the life of the rest of her family. However, Pen apparently has no qualms dishing all the dirt she can get on Daphne in her anonymous gossip rag, to the point that Daphne is constantly worried for herself and her sisters/family. So, Pen considers Eloise her best friend and claims to be madly in love with Colin, yet has absolutely no problems trying to dirty up their sister and putting their own futures in jeopardy with her constant poison pen writings. Plus, Pen essentially tells Marina that she doesn't care who she marries as long as it's not Colin. So I guess Colin is the only guy she feels it's wrong to trick into marriage and scam into raising the baby? Then, instead of just opening her mouth and telling Colin about the baby after he said he didn't care Marina had been in love before, she decides to blow up Marina, Colin and all the Featherstone/Bridgerton reputations with the public reveal. Furthermore, she gets hysterical about the Featherstones becoming social pariahs and screams at Eloise, when she is the one who blew up her own life for no reason!!! Considering Eloise was Lady W's number one fan and Pen's best friend, I don't know why Pen kept it a secret from her in the first place. Eloise didn't even really seem to care about most of the Daphne stuff, it was only the Colin/Marina fallout that made her angry, and a lot of that was because of the damage she felt had been done to poor, innocent Pen. I'm also confused as to how Pen even got the whole Lady W operation off the ground. The society ladies don't seem to have any autonomy, power or access to money etc. So how was Pen able to get cash to pay printers to print the newsletter in the first place? And how was she able to jet around in a carriage unchaperoned to deliver things to the printers? Also, did the dressmaker know it was Pen and how did she find out?

Was that ever actually confirmed by anyone from the show, or was it just a bogus "source" trying to make headlines by mentioning Jen Aniston? The original reports came out ages ago, when they first resumed taping, so we would have had to be seeing his real house by now surely? How long were Rafe and Gabi gone for in the show's timeline? If it was supposed to be like 2 months or thereabouts then Gabi wouldn't be showing and she could believably not have realised she was preggo when she did her drive by. I actually wouldn't be shocked if she comes back in the new year with a small baby bump and injects some drama into Jake and Kate's lame fling. That might be why they suddenly had Jake develop feelings for Kate after one roll in the hay, so he'll be torn when Gabi turns up preggo. Besides, it's probably the best explanation for why Gabi would leave Ari in Arizona (?) and return to Salem.

Yeah, I can’t believe they haven’t had Lucas react to his mother having a one night stand with his sister’s husband. Lucas and Kate are obviously pretty close, but he generally has a good relationship with Jen so I would expect him to blast Kate for it. Also, Jen mentioned Kate’s affair with Bill so it might have been a good opportunity to have Jen maybe reflect on loving Lucas as a brother but possibly resenting his existence as well because of the affair.

On one hand, the Jack/Kate letter being from 30 years ago would make sense because who writes an actual letter these days lol? But on the other hand, why would Kate keep a letter about her brief fling with Jack 30 years ago? It's not like she was pining over him all this time. If this is supposed to be a letter from the time jump year, in which Jack and Kate had a ONS, what does it even say?? Dear Kate, Thanks for the sex. Unfortunately, I regret to inform you that fucking you did not cure my sombre mood, as having a comatose wife is a real downer. However, kudos on those moves, I can certainly see why you were Stefano's favourite whore! I would be eternally grateful if you would refrain from telling anyone about our dalliance, because my comatose wife and failure of a daughter would be incandescent with rage if they ever found out. Now you might be wondering why I am writing you a letter and leaving a paper trail that could blow up this massive secret, but I guess the journalist in me can't help but write about illicit affairs. Ha well she's had so many crazy jumpsuits lately that seem designed to call attention to her assets. Who can forget these get-ups:

Yeah, it’s ridiculous to have Kate and Gabi fighting over a man considering Gabi is the same age as Kate’s grandson. And, not meaning to be ageist (and Kate absolutely does look fab), but does anyone seriously think Jake is going to turn down Gabi and her tits ahoy jumpsuits for a senior citizen?? This is just a pointless story all around. I would much prefer to see Kate and Gabi starting a new fashion company together (because DiMera canned Gabi’s line, even though it was profitable right??)

Serious question - if a SORASED Johnny comes back to Salem with Sami, would he take a ride on Kate’s welcome wagon lol? On the one hand.......ewwwww. On the other hand, can you imagine Sami’s epic meltdown lol?

I can understand why Allie thinks it's Tripp, even if she initially remembered "someone" holding her down rather than Tripp specifically. They both agree that they flirted and danced at the club, Allie was drunk, then Tripp took her home and they kissed. The balance of probabilities would suggest that the guy who took her home and kissed her ended up sticking around and raping her, rather than some random person breaking in and attacking her after Tripp left. If Allie had reported the rape straight away back in London, Tripp would surely have been the main suspect and the cops probably would have been able to get a warrant for his DNA to see if it matched. Having said that, we will probably eventually learn that some random creep was obsessed with Allie and did in fact break into her place to rape her after he saw Tripp leave. This random creep probably also stole Tripp's note as some kind of weird trophy, and odds are someone will discover the note at some point.

While they're at it, can they de-Jonas Parker and put him back to being Phillip's kid? Daniel's dead and he was a pervy creep anyway, so they may as well revert Parker back to being Phloe offspring. I wonder if we will ever see the return of the Phillip/Mimi kid that got adopted (Tyler, I think it was)? I think that kid was only a year or so younger than Claire, so he should be around 20-ish now. Although, he would be related to Claire and Allie so his dating options would be limited, unless they bring back Sydney.

Well, it has been pointed out that DOOL has done a "half brothers have the same DNA for paternity test purposes" thing before with Lucas and Rex, so it's possible that instead of an identical twin Tripp will have a half brother who is the rapist. This new Charlie guy seems to be the best bet since he just showed up and is interacting with Claire, but that's just a guess. ETA: Since this is DOOL, I suppose we can't actually rule out brainwashing lol. Like, Tripp left Allie and then Dr X intercepted him and injected/hypnotised/whatever him to go back and sleep with Allie for some reason, and Tripp doesn't recall any of this.
