  1. For me, the worst thing about EJ is that they subsequently had his rape victim enter into a relationship with him. DOOL spent a lot of time reforming Jack, but I don't think there was ever any hint after the rape that Kayla and Jack could ever have a romantic relationship. Similarly, with Ben, the grossest thing to me is that they had his victim Will become his BFF.
  2. So, if they actually have Eric be presumed dead, how long before Allie tries to get Lucas and Nicole to hook up? You know she would be all over that so Nicole can be her new step-mummy lol.
  3. Yeah, based on how Allie described herself on that night Tripp would be a rapist if they had sex because she was in no position to consent. She was apparently totally wasted and stumbling while they were dancing. Although her comments about usually being able to hold her booze could indicate that her drink was spiked earlier in the night (by the rapist I’m guessing). So unless Tripp was also drugged it seems impossible to do a “Tripp and Allie has consensual sex and she was raped later” story. And Tripp hasn’t claimed any sort of memory loss from that night, and didn’t he tell Steve that he wasn’t even drinking or something? Although, knowing Ron, I guess we can’t rule out fake memories or something ridiculous to hide that Tripp and Allie did have a drugged out hookup, if he does want to make Tripp the father. Perhaps Tripp’s story changing will be that he and Allie kissed when he took her home, or that he did actually have a drink that night (paving the way for him to have been drugged too)? In any case, this story really is terrible. There was no need for another rape in the first place, but if they absolutely had to do it then doing a whole “poor wrongly accused male” thing is not the way to go.
  4. Honestly, I think if they go the Tripp’s half brother is the rapist route, it will end up being this Charlie guy who is his half brother by Ava or something. Still doesn’t make it a good story though!
  5. It was kind of funny when Sami was saying she didn't want Rafe to adopt Allie's baby because it would be too weird. I agree, it would be super weird, but no weirder than asking your ex-husband of like 5 or so years ago to fly to a whole other country and help out with his former step-kid lol! For me, the weirdest narrative choice regarding Sami and her kids is that they didn't come back with her for Will's funeral, Will's un-deading, and Will's recent nearly fatal brain thing. That was just truly bizarre.
  6. Maybe they should just have Roman and Kate reconnect, at least they were married before. I can't recall - did they get back together after the the Salem Stalker victims returned from the island, or was that thwarted by Marlena's geriatric pregnancy lol?
  7. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Johnny and Sydney (and EJ) don't show up all all during the next year. For whatever reason in recent years Days seems to generally avoid bringing back legacy siblings (maybe it's a budget issue since he show clearly has no money?) We never saw any of Sonny's brothers, Theresa's bother didn't come back, Stephanie hasn't shown up since Steve and Kayla returned and Joey was SORASed etc. Maybe it will be different since it's Sami and she has always been a big character, but it wouldn't shock me at all if the other two are barely mentioned and stay offscreen in Italy. If they do show up, I think the most interesting thing to do with Johnny would be for him to find out about the rape and not care. The last we heard of him he sounded like as much of a spoilt brat wild child as Allie, and Sami begged Rafe to come and live with her for a while to get him under control lol. Also, given EJ was dead for ages and probably deified a bit like is common when someone dies, he probably grew up hero-worshiping EJ. Throw in him feeling like he had to be the man of the house because EJ was dead or a zombie vegetable, and I could see a teenager / early 20s guy swanning around ordering DiMera goons to do random shit and getting puffed up feeling like he's a little mob boss. I think it would be fascinating if Johnny heard the story of his conception and was all "you said yes in the end so it's not rape. you married him anyway so what's the big deal?". Then Sami has to grapple with the fact that her son is exactly like EJ, and how does she feel having a son who doesn't seem to get the big deal about consent issues? Is it only a matter of time before he dates rapes a girl, or can she actually get him to understand and change?
  8. If they do a custody trial for Allie and her rapist, I can totally see Ron calling back to the Alan trial but having Sami be the Carrie. Let's face it, given the EJ situation it wouldn't take much for the rapist's lawyer to get Sami to admit that she thinks rapists make great fathers and husbands and should have joint custody of their rape babies. We know Ron loves the Allie/Sami drama and this would definitely cause a massive blow up. It could be good drama, especially if they were prepared to really delve deep into the EJ thing (although I wouldn't trust Ron not to screw it up). The rapist's lawyer could really set Sami up perfectly. Like, first ask her how she feels about Allie's rapist and let her go on a tangent about him being an evil creep who has no right to be near Allie or the baby. Then, lawyer could segue into asking what the deal is with Allie and her twin having different fathers and ask Sami point blank if EJ raped her, as she claimed many years ago. Sami could get flustered and say it was a complicated situation, and eventually have to go into detail about what happened and admit she was raped. Then when the lawyer asks she why she married her rapist and had another kid with him she could do the whole "he changed and became a better man, he's a great husband and father" spiel. The lawyer, having set the trap, says Sami and Allie had the same "complicated" situation so shouldn't Allie's rapist have the same chance as EJ to be a better man and have a relationship with Allie and the baby? Emotional Sami is then forced to admit that the situations are the same and if EJ deserved a chance then so does Allie's rapist. Cue furious Allie who is livid that Sami basically ended up testifying in favour of her rapist. I could also see there being some being shenanigans with the paternity. Like, if Tripp and Allie did have consensual sex and she is later raped/drugged, he could decide to meddle in any paternity test to try and make sure the rape allegation go away. This causes real rapist to come forward and claim paternity, and then during the custody case Tripp has to come clean to prevent real rapist getting shared custody of Tripp's actual kid. Or, the real rapist changes the test to show himself as the father and then sues for custody, but later on during a medical emergency for little Billy Bob it is discovered that rapist can't be the father and it's Tripp kid etc.
  9. Yeah, if Tripp isn't the rapist, then I think the only other likely option is this new Charlie guy Claire meets. He is supposed to be a doctor/intern right? So I guess he could have been in London too and attacked Allie after Tripp left. He could also change any paternity test to show Tripp as the father to make sure Tripp stays as the main suspect. But Tripp changing his story doesn't sound too good.
  10. So apparently Lucas is going to have some tense scenes with Steve and Tripp over the next few weeks, because he gets very angry when he learns of the rape and wants Tripp in jail. I'm glad it seems like Lucas will be involved in this story with Allie, and Aunt Nicole won't be doing everything.
  11. Well, I’m sure Lani will tell Allie that as Tripp is (allegedly) a father, he shouldn’t be arrested.
  12. I wonder if they might just have Claire and Allie have Carrie/Sami-style drama? If it turns out that Tripp isn't the rapist but found her after and she's confused/repressing etc. (which...groan....we don't really need this on top of a rape and rape baby), then Tripp is a possible love interest for both Claire and Allie. Ron had Claire and Ciarra fighting over guys, so I could see them doing a Tripp/Claire/Allie triangle if he's innocent. Also, we know that Allie tells Claire that Tripp raped her, so if Ron does go the mistaken identity route then if there is a trial with the real rapist then Claire could be in the Carrie role and have to say that Allie first accused Tripp, which could lead to the real rapist being found not guilty etc. Claire is probably more liable to feel like she has to tell the truth in court, whereas Nicole or Lumi would probably lie and deny Allie accused Tripp if they got questioned. Oh man, what if Ron is going to make this even more complicated and make it so Tripp and Allie had consensual sex, then she was raped later on at the party by a different guy (and Allie is associating Tripp with the rape after seeing him because it brings back memories of that night)? Then we might be subjected to a WTD story with Tripp and the real rapist or something.
  13. Allie and Johnny were quite young (maybe 7-ish?) when Sami left the show back in 2014, so I definitely don't think they knew then as they would have been to young to understand anything. We don't know whether the kids found out in the intervening years, but Allie hasn't said anything about it. I tend to think maybe Allie doesn't know, because she made a comment back when she was fighting with Sami about her having twins with different fathers. If Allie doesn't know already, then I agree that Sami is unlikely to tell Allie herself. However, a lot of people know about the rape so if they want to address it, they can easily have Allie overhear Sami/Lucas/Kate/Marelna/Belle etc talking about it. But I can see Ron not wanting to address it at all, because having Sami rage against her daughter's evil rapist rapist when she's married to EJ is almost impossible to deal with unless they are going to fully explore it and move Sami away from EJ.
  14. Oh I agree, Sami would go straight to revenge mode and hate the guy (as would Lucas), but I wouldn't blame Allie if she was worried that Sami wouldn't understand her pain or would force her to marry the guy. The only upside to this completely unnecessary rape story is if it finally leads to the Sami stuff you mentioned. i could also see Ron going the route that Allie doesn't know about the EJ rape, and she and Sami start to grow closer and mend their relationship (possibly after Sami shares the Alan story). Then, Allie subsequently finds out about the EJ rape and is horrified and disgusted, and the Sami/Allie rift grows even bigger because Allie cannot even comprehend how Sami could marry her rapist.
  15. Yeah, I definitely wish Ron was staying away from rape, but since we are stuck with it they better at least give us some good Allie/Sami/Lucas scenes. The Alan story would actually be good since both Sami and Lucas were heavily involved, and poor Sami had the horrible court experience on top of the rape. Hell, the Alan situation is pretty much the reason Sami and Lucas had comfort sex and conceived Will. Also, since we are getting both of Sami and Lucas back can Nicole please stay the hell out of this story. I want to see Lumi and their daughter deal with this not Aunt Nicole sticking her nose in.
  16. For the love of.... of course Ron had to go the rape route. Seriously, what is his obsession with rape?? I wonder if they are going to address the Sami/EJ situation when Sami comes back because that seems like it will be a big elephant in the room? I’m sure Sami will be devastated for Allie and want to support her, but (assuming Allie doesn’t already know) I could see her being disgusted when she finds out. Or, if she does already know, she might feel like she can’t talk to Sami because she’s worried Sami will tell her to marry the guy or something. I guess we better just hope that Ron doesn’t decide another rape romance story is is a good idea.
  17. Yeah, it definitely seems like if Tripp is Billy Bob's father it has to be outed in the next couple of weeks. I mean, if even Steve is asking him about it then there's no way Tripp can just float along unaware of his kid. If Tripp isn't the actual baby daddy, then I wonder if he will agree to pretend that he is to protect Allie from the real father being outed? If they did meet in London it's possible that Allie got drunk and confided something in Tripp so he knows who the daddy is. If this is the case, the options might be that Allie was raped, the daddy is EJ, or the daddy is some mob boss/scary criminal. I want Ron to stay the hell away from anymore rape, so I really hope they don't go down that route. EJ being the dad would be gross, but it would be the most soapy and seems like the most logical explanation for all of Allie's behaviour so far. So that's probably the reason it won't happen lol.
  18. If it’s Tripp shouldn’t it be pretty obvious in the next week or so? He hears Allie had a baby and then runs into her, so if they hooked up 9 months ago he should have questions. I mean, dude wants to be a doctor so he should be able to do the baby math! Unless they are going the incest route and having the father be Philip or Johnny, then Tripp, Chad or Jake/Stefan are probably the only onscreen candidates right? The rumour seems to be that when Sami comes back to town after leaving (due to AS signing her new contract), it’s because of an emotional story with Allie and the baby. I hope we’re not going to have another baby cancer story or something. BTW I came across some clips recently of the infamous Sami/Austin aborted wedding, where Carrie punched the shit out of Sami and the truth about Lucas being Will’s father was finally revealed (and Austin stood around like an inanimate block of wood lol). Now that was some soapy paternity shenanigans! Show better bring it’s A game to make the Allie baby daddy mystery even half as interesting.
  19. To be fair, if Allie moves in with Nicole and Billy Bob Horton it doesn’t necessarily mean Nicole wins the custody case. They could be going for a dramatic scene where the judge is about to rule and Allie rushes into the courtroom and asks for the kid back. Or Sami could win the case, which is the thing that makes Allie come back to town and claim the kid.
  20. Seriously, with BD sticking around I demand a Lumi affair! Can this show actually do something soapy for once and have ex-lovers with 25 years of history bond over their shared Allie/Billy Bob Horton drama, then hit the sheets for a steamy affair.
  21. Ben should accidentally kill himself with a necktie in an autoerotic asphyxiation mishap, and Ciara can remain missing - problem solved lol. They could even have Ben shirtless and oiled up for his big death scene, which is how this show likes him. With Sami and Lucas back for an extended stay, I wonder if they will get their own places to stay or if Ron is going to have these two middle aged grandparents living with their own parents for the next year?
  22. I think Sami will win the custody hearing, probably because of whatever this surprise witness says that pops up next week. However, the win will tun into a loss because Eric leaves (possibly to jail or "Africa"), and then Allie will come back and claim her baby. While Sami absolutely wants Allie to come back and raise the kid, based on what has happened so far I'm guessing Allie will be pissed at Sami for ignoring her war and peace letter and will probably take the baby and move in with Nicole.
  23. Oh yeah, I think I heard something about her making an appearance. Although, I'm not sure how credible a witness she would be if it came out that she locked Shawn in a cage for months lol, but I guess Justin's incompetence will ensure that doesn't get brought up! I'm back to being confused about Eric leaving then, because him going to jail for perjury or taking the fall for Nicole made some kind of sense for his exit. I guess he could run off in anger if he hears more of Nicole's bad deeds, but if he can accept the 50 other terrible things she's done then another couple of murders/attempted murders should be water under the bridge. Maybe Jan locks him in a cage? People were guessing it was Gwen early on, so maybe it was her and it was unrelated to Eve's plan? Perhaps she was just doing it to punish Ciara on Claire's behalf or something? I don't think Eve really did anything much to frame Claire for the bomb itself, like she didn't plant explosives at Claire's place or try to lure her to the scene of the crime. Hell, Claire was cleared pretty quickly because cctv placed her at the park when the bomb went off. So if Eve didn't put any real effort into framing Claire on the wedding day, it seems weird she would bother to frame her with the other little stuff.
  24. Perhaps instead of a perjury charge Eric will confess to killing Deimos? I think Brady is back next week and is Sami's "surprise witness", so Eric may decide to confess to protect Nicole. Although honestly, if the only evidence to the crime is Brady's word....I'd take my chances in a murder trial lol. If Eric does take the fall, then I am not looking forward to Sami and Nicole screaming at each other for the next year and blaming the other one for Eric being in jail. I will also be annoyed if we are subjected to another hysterical Sami crying fit when her grand plan blows up in her face yet again, and instead of being rid of Nicole she loses Eric. If Sami had given this scheme even 5 minutes of serious thought she should have realised that Saint Eric of the Save a Ho Complex is always looking for ways to be a martyr, so of course he would lie to protect Nicole and give a fake confession if necessary (surely she recalls Lucas doing the same thing for Will back in the day). But of course, Ron has basically regressed Sami back to her 16 y/o self so she is incapable of any sort of critical thinking RME.
  25. If AS is back for a year, I would be shocked if they didn't give her some romantic scenes. I guess they could recast crispy fried EJ, but I hope not because he has been dragging Sami down for years. I would much prefer Lumi to reunite (I said before this Allie storyline seems like it could easily lead to them having an affair), but unfortunately I can see them putting Rafe back with Sami. Why else would they bring Rafe back after he left, especially if KA isn't coming? If Sami does hook up with Rafe, we should take bets on how long until she's pregnant lol. He's desperate for a kid and she's a fertile myrtle - they'll probably end up with triplets.
