  1. Is that one of the Gardiner brothers up there in the center of the line?
  2. Oh, it actually says Steve and Corey must do the roadblock.
  3. Interesting that everyone got different colored bathing suits.
  4. Self drive with a stick and the left side of the road? Oh, my.
  5. Are Drew's knees still messed up from the first immunity challenge? The guy is a slow healer.
  6. Relax, it just says that she wants to compete, not that she's on the show.
  7. I can imagine a winner who didn't even apply for the show!
  8. The thing about Chevy Chase is what he was like behind the scenes, and I don't think he was a pleasant person. Martin and Short (and this show) don't have to work with anyone they won't get along with. I'm so waiting for Scott Bakula to move into the penthouse in the Arconia!
  9. I was disturbed by that as well. Not that you shouldn't try to connect with people, but the way she said it left me anxious and depressed. More than usual.
  10. Yeah, Steve would never hear the end of it if it came down to a foot race.
  11. 4 of 5 teams are in the middle of the detour with 30 minutes left. Something's gonna happen.
  12. I am always glad when we get teams doing both sides of a detour.
  13. There are no external shooters. All the contestants have explosive ink packs attached to their chest underneath their tracksuits.
  14. Probst reads all the votes? Please, Jeffy boy has people for that.
  15. I'm going to post this here as it's the thread that probably gets the most views. The last part of Rachel's book tour was an interview with Chris Hayes for his "Why Is This Happening?" podcast. For unknown reasons, MSNBC aired this interview, but on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I don't know if MSNBC advertised this at all, since my blood pressure can't handle too much of it these days. Anyway, I only caught the last few minutes but I did see that it's on Peacock, so I was able to watch it tonight. I highly recommend it, it was very interesting. Besides talking about her latest book she answers questions about her process, as in, why she intentionally does some of the things we all find so irritating.
  16. It did get a bit icky when they just started spitting in the can. I wondered why the first 2 groups were doing a lot of licking, but the last 2 groups (with the harder shapes) seemed to spend more time with the pins. I thought they did a very interesting twist on this challenge since everyone would know they needed to avoid the umbrella. I felt so bad for poor bullied 299, who is probably gay but can't even contemplate that because he's LDS (aka Mormon).
  17. From watching British reality competition shows I've learned "chuffed" and "gutted".
  18. From The Hollywood Reporter: Squid game contestants file lawsuit over injuries Sounds like a tempest in a teacup with some ambulance chasing lawyers, IMO. And I think the low viewer response is because they premiered the show the day before Thanksgiving. I've only seen 2 eps and think it's very well done.
  19. It's awesome. It's like the original show all over again, without the bloody dead bodies. I can't believe how stressed out I got watching random people lick cookies.
