  1. I have always detested this term because it was so insulting, demeaning and sexist towards women; and was only used to describe women. But. Due to his hair and generally rough look (I do think the the actor, in regular life, is attractive) ... I must say Danny has a kind of "Rode Hard and Put Away Look" about him. Actually, Phyllis (the character, not the actress) sort of has it, too. I have boarded the Catty Train this morning. Sipping my tea in the sunshine.
  2. I tuned in to see Anan ...something. It is a long last name that I can never remember. I am old. Back in the day he had the really high hair. And his voice could melt butter. And he was constantly cut off by one of The Twins. I digress... Apparently Anan works for a company called - Key? When he finally got "called on" he discussed political parties and movements having Passion. That like it or not, Trump's fans are passionate. As in a lot of issues and causes in the 60s and 70s were driven by it. How labor unions brought out huge votes. People felt connected and turned out. But it is lacking with voters and Dems in general. He was excellent. Then Mike Barnicle responded; and sounded robotic. He did, actually, agree with Anan a bit; but he had no spark. I wish Show would have him (Anan) on more often. But he might out-spark Joe. 😁
  3. I have to admit MS has a great body - but this was embarrassing and cringe-worthy. If I were her, I would have refused to wear the lingerie until one of the male actors her age - hopefully Danny R - was made to appear in his underwear, too. And Sweet Jesus, can't the hairdressers do something with his hair color. Cricket should tell both Danny and Phyllis that they deserve one another. Him being one of the dumbest people on the show. And then find a love interest for Cricket if she is going to be popping in and out; even if he is only spoken of. It would drive Phyllis crazy. And I would be there for it. By the way - is it just me, or do Summer and Chance have no chemistry? Danny and anyone? I will lap from my saucer of cream now. Oh, and Nicki's sponsor is creepy.

I know that we are facing the most important election in our lifetime; possibly since the beginning of this country. But... Must this network (actually all of them) cover Trump every waking hour of the day. I cannot stand it anymore. There is news happening everywhere. But I get more actual national and world news from my local affiliates. I am worn down and crabby. The KC game going to streaming is the final straw. I don't watch much of this network or CNN lately; I tune in first thing in the morning and that's about it. I miss my "fix" of Nicole (I know she is on maternity leave right now)...a lot of the "regular" pundits and analysts; many of the recurring lawyers...Katy Tur....even the sports news and entitlement of Joe Scarborough. But I cannot listen to the same conversations and opinions, hand-wringing, anger and despair for hours and hours.
  5. I am not saying these women (see above) haven't worked hard. But to me, KYV seems led by a coven of women who like to pat themselves on the back for their accomplishments; especially in the media or on the national stage. Never mind the women who clear everyday obstacles ...they raise families, with or without a partner. They have careers/jobs - not always well-paying. They make a difference in their neighborhoods, their environment, and other lives that they touch. It doesn't occur to them to Know Their Value. They already know they have it and don't expect an award for it. Sorry to rant (the NFL choosing to put the KC game last night on PPV has me riled) but just hearing Meeka even say KYV annoys me to no end (she actually preens) and has me grabbing the remote. I feel so much better now. ****Sorry, I meant "Streaming" not PPV****
  6. The Boston Dream Home lady was one of the oddest buyers I have seen in almost ever. I missed the first part so didn't know her back story. Cabinets are not easy to paint - but doable; and it doesn't cost an arm and leg to pay someone. Her almost freaking out over the huge tub; the above poster was right - negative on most everything. She found large faults with each home. Was the son supposed to move out soon? Did she get that in writing? I didn't hear her talk about the rest of the family other than she wanted to cook (and boy was I sick of that running commentary) for the family. I must say the son was very patient. Really one of the most off-putting Hunters ever. And how does a 3,000 sq foot house only have two bedrooms? I guess the apartment took up a lot of space?
  7. SeanBug...I came of age in the 60s - I loved every song and band that you mentioned. Joe's music doesn't bother me that much because I don't listen to it. I think The Twins use the network to pimp out their side interests. I can kind of understand music being a passion project. And apparently Joe can play guitar (I didn't know this). He is clueless about people actually being interested. But gathering a group of women - mostly from privileged backgrounds or Marrying Up, and touting them as brilliant businesswomen kind of impresses me with how crafty Meeka is. Well played. I know there are probably women who have made the list and deserve it that don't get interviewed on tv. They are in the company of fellow KYVs like Chris Jenner. And they get a trip out of the deal! Meeka is grabbing opportunities to make her relevant; and impress people with her support of women's issues. Epic fail.
  8. Well, Meeka has KYV, Joe has Funk. I guess hosting a four-hour show five days a week just isn't fulfilling enough. Was it Sly and the Family Stone who sang "Play That Funky Music, White Boy" ... I will now lap from my bowl of cream.
  9. I saw a promo for the Jill Biden interview. Mika said something along the lines of "stay tuned (or up next) is my explosive interview with First Lady Jill Biden" which had me on pins and needles. I didn't watch but should have realized that it would involve KYV. Oakville - it must have been my tv because both Joe and Meeka were unnaturally tan bleeding into orange. It must have been the studio lights. Nice seeing everyone sitting around a table.
  10. I think Cole would look much better with a different hairstyle. It looks like he wears a bowl on top of his head during haircuts. Maybe wear it a little longer; and I am in the minority, but possibly a bit of a scruf, too.
  11. Yes, I am really looking forward to seeing Nicki go through rehab; her lapses and affairs have never been done before. An entire hour of Nicki, Phyllis and Christine battling demons and romantic rivals. Over aged titans, rockstars and playboys. Fun times coming. I actually kind of feel a little sorry for the actors involved in having to recite the ridiculous scipt. Except for Phyllis.
  12. Who and what? Apparently Joe is back.
  13. Good luck with a Chance/Claire pairing. This soap is nothing but terribly predictable. We all know that Adam and Sally are getting back together; sorry, but that I cannot watch. Sally will never get the stink of Nick off of her; and the way that the writer(s) handled the whole thing. I cannot even watch the actress without thinking about it. Being a long-time soap viewer (starting with Erica's abortion on All My Children) - it seems that the most popular couples were the unexpected ones. I guess Elena must be poison to men because she hasn't had a love interest in a long time. How about trying Chance or Adam with her? And while I am being mean-spirited: Phyllis and Cricket fighting over an aging "rock star". How old are these two woman? Acting like high school girls fighting over the captain of the football team. It is farce; which is actually something Phyllis/MS is perfect for. That is about the only thing in her Ackting! arsenal; she is unwatchable. Okay, now I feel better. My son installed Ad Blocker on my new laptop - it is magic.
  14. I hope Joe is not sick or has a family emergency. He seems to be gone a lot. Which brings me to both he and Meeka. I know an early, daily, live news/political show can be a grind. But he and Meeka's time off and disappearing acts during their own show seem to be a lot. And I am sure that is what they negotiated into their 4-hour, 5-day-a-week contract. But. If the show is that much of a grind....maybe they should not have gone to four hours a day. Or. A four-day-work week might have been better. Monday through Thursday, 6-10. Alternate Fridays and Mondays. They seem to be indispensable to the network and can write their own tickets. Or he can. Again, I hope Joe is well and not handling a family matter.
  15. Oakville - I honestly cannot come up with a snappy comeback to this. Funny while at the same time depressing. It is like Marie Antoinette meets Mother Theresa. And she is married to a king whose name is not Louis the 14th. 😁
  16. Oakville....Please please tell me you are making this up. Meeka? Barbie? Well, that one I guess I can see. Who actually has an interest in the Forbes list? Other than the women who are on the list. Most of them well-connected and/or rich before they made the list.
  17. I can watch a good many older Christmas movies; but most of the 2023 movies just aren't interesting or fun or fun to make a bit of fun at. 😁 To me, the biggest problem is the casting. It was a bit jarring to see so many new faces. Most just can't seem to connect with their screen partner. And the pairings were, for the most part, not good at all. I don't mind all the coats - and there were some actresses who didn't have the mermaid hair. I saw Teri Hatcher on a Lifetime Christmas movie and it wasn't bad. It was fun and the lead actors/actress seemed a little older than this year's Hallmark batch. Apparently the network makes two types/sets of Christmas movies - one for the regular Hallmark Channel and one for the Movies and Mysteries channel. As the season goes on they could mix it up and put the movies on both channels. The Hallmark Drama and Movies and Mysteries are on a different package than the regular Hallmark; I would need to pay extra for them. At least it would not drive so many viewers away with constant reruns.
  18. I have not been watching everyday, so..... I didn't think it was possible, but JM's acting seems to have gotten even worse. To the point where even his physical movements (hand gestures, shrugging, glowering, etc) seem over-the-top. Maybe the bright spot is perhaps they are finishing up storylines that have dragged on and on. Yes, Crazy Talk. Is "Cole" going to be a contract player? Coleen Z?
  19. She “leans forward” …. the better to pop come cleavage if it is out and about.
  20. I love him. Big reason? I am about his age. I find him never bombastic or smug and full of himself. Our host (especially) and a few regulars can sometimes make my head hurt.
  21. The only storyline game changer I would like to see is that Nicki killed Delia. Or Nick dies from an infection from the stab wound. 😎 I have no interest in a long-lost Newman child/grandchild.
  22. I'll say; then again, I didn't see all that many. But MS dressed exactly like Phyllis would. Seems her taste is as questionable as the show's Wardrobe Department. She resembled a walking Praying Mantis. Bless her heart. Oh! I wonder if the actresses borrowed their "looks" from the Wardrobe Dept? That would explain a lot.
  23. Remember when someone here used to call it her "cry reading" ..... a cross between shrill and sobbing. It is too bad that she sometimes has a good point to make; but the hysteria when she tries to Make The Point kind of ruins it.
