  1. I'm on the fence about whether this is actually a time when someone acted out of character or a random addition (because we didn't really know Gloria that well. This could have been totally in character), but I shall let it go... H is for Hope, as in, Rose thought her father was Bob Hope and caused a ruckus, even if it did work out in the end. As Dorothy said, "This Bob Hope story is odd--even for you."
  2. F is for Fat Jokes/Comments that the ladies didn't keep to themselves when Blanche's daughter was visiting. They were pretty awful and it's odd that they did it but didn't like it when her fiance did it.
  3. How about others in Brady roles? Like Danny Trejo as Marcia and Steve Buscemi as Jan?
  4. O is for Orbach, Jerry who of course was on original recipe Law & Order for many years.
  5. OK, he wasn't a "guest star" but... I is for Inglourious Basterds which was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino (he did technically have a small role in it too).
  6. O is for orgasm, of which Blanche had "many, many times" her first time. I think she could have been a little more understanding that it took Rose longer to get there after her first time.

    All Episodes Talk

#16 made me tear up a bit!
  8. I is for Isaac Q. Newton whom the ladies really should have told Rose didn't exist before she managed to find one in the phone book to go on a date with her.
  9. I still don't really understand why (just in the Cougar Town world) Grayson's job was so hard and how he won that bet. It was stupid of the ladies to not lock the door, of course, but surely the hardest part of his job isn't locking the door at night? I realize I'm taking it much too seriously!
  10. T is for the TV I'm not sure we ever actually saw... but we know they watched The Cosby Show on Thursdays, and Blanche and Rose watched an I Love Lucy marathon, and Dorothy probably watched her favorite nightly show, Jeopardy (Wowee!), and Sophia had a few schemes to buy a nicer one. And of course, long ago Dorothy and Sophia were both going to buy the other a TV and get the family together to watch Make Room For Daddy(?). So for something that sure came up a lot in the writing, we sure didn't see it much...
  11. Khaleesi, not Cersei. I can tell you haven't read the books! (joke!) What were some of the other future-isms--as already mentioned, Elton John and Chick Fil A, Shailene Woodley and Morgan Freeman are fighting--were there others?
  12. P is for the piano the ladies dust off for one episode to sing about how Miami is nice, so I'll say it thrice.
  13. She actually has one (well, not as the lead but probably a regular)! "The Good Witch" with Catherine Bell on Hallmark. I think it premieres next month. So glad Callie spoke up. I was thinking "What would Rosie say about this situation, Callie!" Did her mom actually say "let's go home?" I was trying to listen closely because I was hoping that's not what she said. I didn't hear the "home" part so I can only hope they actually went to the hospital. I was also very glad that Mariana had a plan that whole time and wasn't leaving her dance friend high and dry.
  14. I know someone has aired that because I've seen it (and I've never watched the DVDs). But Hallmark probably thought it was offensive or something ridiculous. I hate their edits. Though today, I saw a new scene (to me) where Dorothy is sleeping with the guy from Beatlemania and Sophia says something like "Are you telling me, your mother, you slept with a perfect stranger?" and Dorothy says something like "Of course not, it was an incredible simulation." (Which is how she earlier had described Beatlemania so it was a related joke). I really think that maybe I just need the DVDs. I swear I remember a scene I haven't seen in forever that occurs at the end of the episode where Blanche comes back from her grandma's house being demolished and brings home the wind chimes that contain her grandmother's spirit, except, while trying to sleep, they won't stop tinkling and Blanche starts telling her grandma to shut up. (Just looked it up on the internet--it DOES exist! I haven't lost my mind!)
  15. I've read over the last few pages and I didn't see any mention of this. I don't watch this show but my mom does. She said recently the audience has seemed different and she thinks they've hired a claque (had to look it up myself). She said the timing is off and they'll start clapping/cheering right when David and the guest are about to start talking. Has anyone noticed anything like that or heard anything about such things? I told her sometimes it could just be the audience he gets. That maybe they are overly excited, especially since the show will be ending soon but she doesn't think so. She said it's only started relatively recently and, to her, has been noticeably different.
  16. And because it seems on every show I watch that nothing can be as it seems, I wondered if that video she kept rewatching of her husband was actually him talking to her or someone else. I hope not, but TV has taught me to be suspicious of everything and if the writers can make a story out of something they will. So I imagine we shall learn more about his death eventually when the writers figure something out...
  17. G is for the gun Barbara secretly had that helped them catch The Cheeseman once and for all, though Rose was at first disappointed Barbara lied about it.
  18. B is for the bear stuffed animal that probably only made the one episode where it was held hostage by an extortionist little girl with a water pistol loaded with red ink.
  19. I'm overly excited to know someone else remembers that song...(I assume you are remembering the song, although it was The and not His Lid Off) I was just thinking about it the other day but no one else my age remembers it. Probably only my teenage best friend who helped me make a music video in my bedroom to that song. Whatever bubbles, bubbles up. Regarding the Liars... I don't know what's happening anymore and I have no faith that the writers know what they're doing or had an actual A in mind from the beginning. Even if it ended up being disappointing, at least clues would make sense. But no matter how this ends, if you rewatched the show knowing who was A it would make even less sense than it does now. Mentalist did roughly the same thing and I didn't find the Red John reveal satisfying in the least.
  20. I need to find a way to get my British boss to watch that one scene with not-Elliott and the Cockney guy. I had never heard of Cockney rhyming slang until a few months ago (from him) and he is now often using it on me, not that I understand (today he had to get on the dog and phone, aka: telephone). So this is a real thing! After last night's episode I read more about it and I get the gist, but definitely something you need to be around/hear often to get. It really is like another language despite using English words.
  21. Sorry, this isn't quite the right spot to ask but I don't know where else to put this--I'm hoping someone can help me figure something out...OK, so season 4 had 8 episodes and a Christmas special (according to Wikipedia), so 9 total. But when I try to look up the air dates for the U.S. (trying to remember if the Christmas special aired already), it shows only 8 episodes and that the 8th episode was considered the Christmas special. Surely the US didn't miss an episode so what am I forgetting/missing?
  22. I don't remember the stick thing, but I grew up in Pennsylvania and in (public) elementary school music class we did learn some square dancing moves. I didn't realize how good my high school gym class was until it came up in conversations with others. We had archery (out near the parking lot!), golfing (which ended with a round over at the putt-putt place down the road), we learned how to keep score in bowling so we had to then go bowling. I'm sure we had your normal stuff in between all that too. In middle school, one session was to either learn wrestling or some dances, so to this day I can do 1 country line dance, the Electric Slide, and the Macarena. Thanks, gym class! And it was only in middle school, but we had Track & Field day in which everyone had to participate (and you "trained" in gym classes for a month or so beforehand). I sucked at it, but it was an excuse to sit outside with your friends while participating in an event for like, 2 minutes and then going and sitting back on the bleachers with your friends (better if you did all of the same events with your friends). Honestly, I think they were just trying to see who had any talent for being future members of the high school track team...
  23. My mom just called me into the room to show me a clip of Bernadette Peters on the special. My mom thought she seemed pissed or something and said it was painful to listen to her. My mom wondered if it was more to do with her having asinine things to say. I had to rush here to see if anyone else noticed (I didn't watch the special this year). Whatever her problem was, it didn't look/sound good!
  24. V is for Vonda, Roseanne's friend in the early seasons. Her most notable time on screen was probably when she sang in Roseanne's bathroom dream episode. W is for the Wellman factory that many of the characters worked at in the first season. "Guess we're not gonna make our quota today, honeybunch!"
  25. I was surprisingly disturbed by the bomb because it was similar (though not as bloody) as a real-life incident that happened in my city, though it could make a great title for a Blacklist episode, "The Pizza Bomber." But it was a truly horrible story--a pizza delivery man had a bomb attached around his neck, he was forced to rob a bank, and eventually was killed in the middle of a busy road in front of rescue personnel when the bomb went off, killing him. In other news, I really don't pay attention to this show at all. I thought I was but if you asked me to explain anything I realize I can't. I'll keep watching for now, but I'm not at all dismayed about a 2.5 month break. And I definitely won't be watching State of Affairs--it looks dreadful. "How many laws do you want to break?" "How many lives do you want to save!!" Ew.
