  1. I'm intrigued by the group that hired the Big Bad. We know that Barry is one of the founding members of the Justice League. And with Arrow ending, that should probably happen this season. So perhaps this organization is the proto-Legion of Doom? We finally have the first inklings of Barry developing Gideon, so I'd love for this other Season 1 prediction to come to pass as well.
  2. I didn't like Zara til the last episode. Her shallowness annoyed me and I didn't get her appeal to Craig beyond the physical. Nice to show her sweetness. I didn't care for Andrew and Tony2 because I thought Tony2 could do better but now I like him.
  3. I have trouble feeling sympathy for Duffy for 2 reasons: 1. He ditched Tabby the second he though he could upgrade to Maya so boohoo that the same thing was done to him. Congratulations, he played himself. 2. He compared his 5 minute relationship with Maya to Gemma’s with her DEAD HUSBAND! I’d have done a lot more than report his poor conduct to the headmaster if he tried that with me. The gall!
  4. Someone like Duffy probably looks down his nose at Nicolas Sparks. Andrew doesn’t deserve Tony 2. i don’t know how they’re going to fix things with Maya/Kash/Ainsley I’m the remaining episodes.
  5. I rewatched the movie over the weekend and was bored. I’ll take Maya over Andie McDowell’s wooden acting any day.
  6. I watched an industry screening. They went into the Beast's backstory but I honestly don't recall if his name was given.
  7. Saw the movie this afternoon and I really enjoyed it, as much as the animated version. Emma Watson was a very effective Belle. I thought some of the CGI stuff would weird me out, but it was really well done.
  8. I'll bet hoodied figure is Katherine. Headed straight for her beloved Stefan.
  9. I don't think there's an expiration date on wanting Damon gone. Tyler was just buried a day earlier then the kids were taken. Not that it will matter.
  10. I think Will is trying to convince himself that he's fine. Or he's keeping it to himself. He's caused enough trouble for his Mom and friends and doesn't want them to worry. Or the monster gestating inside him is taking over his mind. They showed that clip from "The Thing" for a reason.
  11. I could sympathize with Sansa's point until Jon specifically asked her for an alternative battle strategy and her response was I don't know anything about conducting battles. Perfect opening and she played dumb. Drogon and Dany came down on those ships like Sherman into Atlanta. Loved it!
  12. My Mad Fat Diary, please. Or at least make it accessible on BBC America or Netflix.
  13. Scott Foley's character from Scandal. Don't get the hotness. Don't get the appeal.
  14. Yeah, I really want a Caitlyn/Iris friendship. I know they cater to a male audience, but this show is overflowing with testosterone.
  15. A recap of yesterday's ep and a really good discussion of the Iris hate. http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-flash/the-flash-recap-iris-joins-tea-56429.aspx
  16. Well, Mary-Sueism is a different issue. I mean, personally I prefer both Bonnie and Caroline to Elena. But the three girls don't feel "pitted" against each other and viewership isn't divided so sharply the way it would be if there was a "whose better for X?" dynamic, with a male lead.
  17. That's a good point. Because in Vampire Diaries, for instance, Nina Dobrev is inarguably beautiful and isn't portrayed as dorky at all. But in that case she's the star of the show. It's not like a guy is the lead and there's a dorky counterpoint for female viewers to argue over.
  18. I think it figures in because often for the younger, female demographic is looking for the character they self-identify with, who is their "stand-in." And they often gravitate towards the "regular" girl and have trouble expanding that definition outside of narrow parameters.

Even Candace's mom is fed up. https://twitter.com/candicekp/status/583071051057389568
  20. I agree. Like how the Supernatural board on TWOP was a Sam bashfest, or the Grimm board is a "We hate Juliet" rallying center. And of course the Laurel hate. Groupthink is never any fun.
  21. Mason was pointing the finger at Wells in the previous timeline, suggesting that he was responsible for Stagg's disappearance. Then suddenly Mason himself disappears. Not such a huge leap to me.
  22. He was on Sleepy Hollow, first season.
  23. They need to really tie Jane into the main action because that's what's interesting to me. Watching she and Rafael go on endless doctor appointments is meh, especially since obviously the baby is going to be fine. I was way more into Michael's SL and the hunt for Sin Rostro last night. Jane is becoming a little too much of a dull goody-goody.
  24. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/02/09/flash-star-robbie-amell-firestorm-mythos-and-killer-frost-nod?asdf Interesting stuff. It looks like Killer Snow is definitely going to happen, if not immediately.
