  1. Only my second post in this forum... Since I didn't catch up until a couple of days ago. Still if I'm going to speculate on the final season I'd think John and the Governor are the only two truly safe, given that the show has signalled they will play loose with canon. Flint could certainly die, he's a fictional character. but John has to live and Rogers is a real life character which may be too weird to kill off. For dramatic purposes Eleanor has to die. There has to be a major pro-English casualty in this final season.
  2. Huh. Has this one aired?
  3. With the latest promo I think it's clear beyond a doubt that the chess player casting is for Edward in the upcoming episode.
  4. This episode did a good job pointing out that the Joker is Bruce's nemesis. Gordon delivering the final punch was a mere afterthought to cover for Bruce beating the hell out of him.
  5. As I've said a zillion times, the best way to solve the Batman equation for Bruce at this moment is to make him the first Robin.
  6. Enjoyed it. :) Silver and Madi are cute. Billy's expanded role is cool too.
  7. The show has "progressed" a lot. Edward has gone from a forensics specialist at GCPD to a mobster genius. Oswald has gone from an underling to the "King of Gotham" to dethroned by Theo Galavan and his mother murdered to the city's elected Mayor to (presumably) dethroned again. Bruce has gone from a sheltered little kid to a tough-as-nails teenager. Bruce and Selina have gone from the point where she dismissed him as a "silly kid" to actual boyfriend and girlfriend. Et cetera. I think the only really stale character story is Jim Gordon.
  8. I'll post my simple prediction for the finale. Jerome is headed for a nice warm acid bath courtesy of young Master Wayne. There will be a showdown between them, Jerome will underestimate Bruce and Bruce will give him a nasty surprise.
  9. I agree. I can't understand people who thought this was subpar. They seem to be in an extreme minority. As I pointed out in my review, I thought the Penguin plot was the least engaging but that's just because the two others were so great - in a lesser episode, that would've worked fine as the highlight. And the scene with Selina trying and failing to punch the lights out of Bruce... chills. As much as they love each other Selina's always been, "Bruce's a lil sissy, I can take him", while Bruce has been "well, compared to me she's a dimwit". Now they both know none of that is true.
  10. Done. <Doux Reviews> <Smile Like You Mean It>
  11. I don't think it's a tedious cycle at all. I'll explain in my review, when it's finished. And yeah it's Camren. It's really confusing with people calling Camren Cameron :D Cameron is Cameron Monaghan!!!
  12. This is a constant theme throughout the show. Also. Look at the promo for the season finale. Look in the mirrors. I repeat, look in the mirrors. No, I'm not talking about the location. Look closely. I'm hysterical.
  13. Nobody can tell me that wasn't an amazing episode.
  14. http://www.douxreviews.com/2017/01/nashville-back-in-babys-arms.html Sorry for the long delay. I had a creative ebb.
  15. http://www.douxreviews.com/2017/01/gotham-ghosts.html Took a little too long time to write but whatever.
  16. I kinda hate necroing threads but you do realize you just named the entire important female cast save Black Queen and Black Princess? So, what, if the show decides to make every important female queer they're all untouchable? That's identity politics for you. The death of storytelling. Given the narrative and how many people Eleanor has betrayed over the course of the series, right or wrong, the logical conclusion is she will die. If she were a man she would hang, but since she's not, she'll be allowed to go out with far more dignity should that outcome materialize.
  17. <Doux Reviews> <The Wayfaring Stranger>
  18. If this had been a great finale we would all have known it. Look at Six Feet Under. Look at Friday Night Lights. This show didn't even get anywhere close to that poetry and conclusion, and it was a far better show than those. I'm extremely disappointed. The final season made me devalue it from the best television show I had ever seen to the third, possibly.
  19. This will be bittersweet no matter what happens.
  20. Lee, Barbara, Tabitha, Undead!Kringle, Vale and Ivy. Make it happen, show!
  21. Megan's responsible for both hits and misses. That said, yeah, "Bitter Pill" was the real start of Nygmobblepot. We'll see. I want more of Denise Thé. Her work on "Anything For You" was stellar.
