  1. The brothel scenes were amazing and disturbing and really brought the book to life. I loved Sally and the boy singing in that grating falsetto. I'm still really liking what they've done with the story and I hope they tell the backstories of Mary, Cyrus, and Stevie soon.
  2. Maybe not dislike, but in the book, Roosevelt was the one that brought Kreizler into the investigation and in the show, he seems to be against Kreizler's participation.
  3. Savannah31401, I just read about Caleb Carr's dad. You can see where a lot of Carr's own experiences are used in the Alienist. His dad's situation with the stalker is crazy!
  4. I loved the casting, costuming, etc. in this mini series. I can't wait for the rest of the episodes to see the reason for all the differences between the show and the book.
  5. I was So happy when I saw the commercials for this. I love the casting! After watching the sneak peak tonight, I'm interested in why they made some of the changes, especially Roosevelt's dislike for Kreizler.
  6. I Loved how Elena talked to her date. 'EAT THIS! IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!' I only got a quick glimpse at John's date. Was it one of his sisters?
  7. How many times did Pao's roots change during this episode? She should have kept it black because they blonde is starting to look like straw and costs a fortune to maintain. The only couple that vaguely has a chance of making it is Loren and Alex. I think they're the only ones that married because the actually love eachother. Not saying they're perfect but they do strike me as being in love. Chantal and Pedro are too immature for marriage and the other two couples are a joke. So glad Jorge is not my brother. He's a lying, lumpy, whipped POS and I couldn't have his back.
  8. Why do people like Pao think any fool can walk into a bar and get a bartending job. People usually work their way up and while it's not rocket science, it takes some skill and personality. It can also be pretty lucrative. Pao needs to be a shot girl in a club or something and Russ needs to be somewhere where he can work in his industry. 'Rosacea Jabba' killed me!
  9. I don't understand the apology Mohammed had to make to Danielle's family. She was the one that imported a Tunisian boy toy and put him before her family. So sick of her victim crap.
  10. I think Mohammed is a POS but Danielle makes me cringe every time she's on the screen. First of all, those crazy faces she makes when Mohammed is talking freak me out and secondly, when I look at her all I can think of are smelly, leaky lady parts.
  11. So glad nobody believes the trafficking story. Working in juvenile justice, I've been around girls who have been abused and pimped from a very young age. I even knew a a girl who was sold to a drug dealer by her dad and one that would be kicked out of the home without pants and couldn't come back until she had money. But there were no planes or trips to Europe, just straight up rape for money. No eating feces or killing babies, just poverty and old pervs. This kind of fake crap takes away from the real victims of trafficking. Gross.
  12. I hope his mother rots. That poor miserable kid out all his trust in her and she used him in the worst possible way. If anyone ever needed to get high to forget, it's Robbie.
  13. I got a blood draw a couple weeks ago and the lady doing it mentioned she was from Lopez Island. I mentioned that someone from there was on Alone and apparently she is friends with Callie, which wasn't too surprising since that community is tiny. She said Callie is exactly the same on the show as she is in real life but she's afraid to watch because she doesn't want to see her mauled by a Puma...
  14. The girl with Middle Eastern Heritage was busted for heroin. Between Buckwild, Intervention, and Teen Mom 2, West Virginia sounds like the pill capital of the US...
  15. I kept hoping that they would mention that Sturgill was friends with the cast of MTV's Buckwild, which I believe was in Sissonville. Several of them turned out to be into opiates as well.
  16. I think it would be really hard to date as a dwarf. It would be kind of like being super rich and not knowing whether people are actually in to you or just want access to your money. There was a tattooed rockabilly little lady in Seattle years ago and numerous men in the neighborhood slept with here, but always just once because they only wanted to see what it was like. It's interesting that all the Atlanta little ladies only want to date typical men but a lot of the LA little ladies are with little men.
  17. Judge Judy was an incredible family court judge for years in NYC. Seeing her on 60 Minutes in the 90's was one of the things that pushed me towards a career in juvenile justice. I would love to see Miscavige have to face criminal charges for the amazing amount of human suffering he's caused over the years.
  18. From the previews I thought the fight was probably faked but that chipped tooth looked real as hell. It was also super vicious when the average sized girl started busting the young blonde little lady in the face. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be a patron in that bar. That would be the best story to tell ever!
  19. I've only been watching for 5 minutes but now I need a show about men who willingly pay to watch this woman have sex. She looks like an 80 year old suffering from leprosy. I would pay to not see that.
  20. This woman made me absolutely ill. Shooting up, stealing, chewing up food and spitting it out, all in front of her little kids. What a sick selfish bitch.
  21. I hate the producer that's working with Amber and Matt. She laughed uproariously at everything they said like they are so freaking funny. What an ass kisser. I wonder if Amber thinks lipo works forever. Any chub she got sucked out will be back in 3 months. I'm guessing that surgery was around 20 grand. Have fun trying to pay that once the gravy train ends.
  22. That boyfriend, Austin, seems really controlling. He was at the bar for one minute and said they were leaving. Then again, it was probably somewhat scripted.
  23. It seems like Noone didn't think through the whole moving to another country thing. If you're that close to your family then finding a mate closer to home is probably a good idea. My husband moved from Belgium 26 years ago and never looked back. But it makes a big difference when your parents are abusive mental cases rather than loving family members... I thought Alex's lady friends were pretty nasty to Loren. Like she said, she didn't stop him from keeping in touch. That was up to him. I wonder what it would take for Danielle to realize Mo is NEVER going to be with her. So pathetic.
  24. I think some of it is cultural. I remember reading an article years ago about anorexia and in a poll, the majority of white teenage girls felt they were to heavy and the majority of black teenage girls felt they looked good as is or could use some extra pounds. The only time I've ever felt like that was when I weighed 108 pounds and looked like a bobble head.
  25. WTF is up with her eyebrows? They're taking up half her face.
