  1. Well....better late than never. I personally think the delay was due to Boob and his ginormous ego. I'm guessing TLC wanted a "spin off" focusing on Jill, Jessa, Josiah and some of the older kids. Minimal to no Boob and Mechelle and Josh joins Richie Cunningham's brother Chuck upstairs; never seen or spoken of again. Boob wouldn't have it. All is forgiven in the eyes of the Lord and they shouldn't have to hide. Then Derrick spirited Jill away for an undetermined timeframe and TLC said screw it. They have Jazz and her wonderful family and transgender is "in". The Little Couple must have done okay in the Duggars slot. And TLC had to see that the disgust toward the Duggars was higher than the humper support. Add in the possible civil suit from the fifth victim and here we are.
  2. So the BBQ Nerd and Diva Q had an annoy off. Despite leaving a lonely tub of ricotta off the plate, the Nerd took the win by virtue of the Diva serving up a steak so raw it could have been healed with penicillin and sent back out to graze. And don't even get me started on the cherry pie "gravy" the fireman made. That was a crime against food. Lord have mercy!
  3. The competitors are up at the Food Network Chopped page. Lots of women, but no Danushka.
  4. I watch "Everyday Italian" and "At Home" when I have a chance because I flove Italian food. I've never really been bothered by Giada because I take her for what she is: attractive, family connected talking head who is a culinary professional. If she fixes something I might like, I look up the recipe online. I have always noticed her cleavage is present the majority of the time. Her tops are predominantly low scoop or v-neck. She has a big rack and shows it off. I saw a meme once from a guy with a pic of her leaning over the counter giving an eyeful and it said "I've watched her show every day for months. I still don't know how to boil water." I will concur that micro mini skirts and bare tummies do not scream professional, but if FN is going to allow her to represent them that way? Oh, well. The boob keyhole dress and last weeks sheer lace were just typical to me. I saw an article in a tabloid about her once that said she kept a "spit bucket" on set when filming. She "tastes" and then spits it back out. Watching her nibble in judging has made me wonder if she is just picky or over conscious of what she eats. Maybe she does have digestive issues. Who really knows. I personally have been far more bothered by the endless gossip about her marital infidelities, even before her divorce was announced. I felt for her husband and daughter. Go to BlindGossip.com and search "Giada". She is a busy lil hussy.
  5. A 2009 appearance on Chopped by Season 8's Yvan Lemoine is on Cooking Channel right now. Will rerun at midnight EST.
  6. The YouTube video is 100% the result of these people having cameras follow them around orchestrating a series of "events" for 10 years. They had limited ability to interact with each other normally due to the staggering amount of dysfunction Gothardism and Boob bring to the table. But they now view life a a video scrapbook that they provide for what they think are gazillions of devoted fans. Jilly Muffin is leaving the country for God knows how long? Let's film us praying and saying goodbye! If this isn't proof it's way past time to turn off the lights, I don't know what is.
  7. Josh and Anna have a covenant marriage. Divorce is not an option. If you Google "covenant marriage Arkansas" you will see the agreement they signed. I read about this somewhere before the fecal matter contacted the oscillating device.
  8. Gee. After dealing with Josh, I can't imagine why they felt that way.
  9. I thought I read that what set the woman off and is making her consider filing suit was the Kelly interviews and the fact that the Duggars are being so dismissive about the gravity of the crime. If this is her only form of recourse, I hope she takes them to the poorhouse. I'm reminded of this quote from Rachel on "Friends"..., "Hey, just so you know: It is not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy and it is a big deal!!!"
  10. Except he can't talk. Twenty former employees of Scarpetta in New York have filed a lawsuit for low pay and withheld tips during the time Conant was owner. So go bite a raw red onion, dude. And I also get the original air date from my satellite description. Very helpful.
  11. Slight damage to the delicate fibers of a dead fish or potential blood contamination? I'm way more skeeved out by blood filled gloves myself.
  12. I second, third and fourth this. Lordy, he was pretty.
  13. I personally think mission trips are bullshit for lack of a better word. I despise proselytizing by any religion. If ISIS came to poverty stricken areas of the U.S. and started spreading the virtue of Sharia law and murdering infidels? They'd be shot like rabid dogs by SWAT teams. But when Christians do it? It's all noble and good and praiseworthy because Jesus. There are plenty of ways to help the less fortunate (Peace Corps, Foundations) that don't involve shoving your religious beliefs on people. You don't even have to leave home FFS!!! [/rant]
  14. There is an episode of "Beat Bobby Flay" on the front page of the "Watch Food Network" app that has Sunny and Giada bringing the challengers. Bobby very pointedly comments that they are both like sisters to him. I rolled my eyes. Glad Sita got the boot. Girl couldn't hold her shit together with bungee cords and duct tape. Jay's gumbo was seriously nasty looking. Why didn't Eddie put blackened chicken or fish on grilled romaine and radicchio? Mostly....when did Rue start sounding like Kendra from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"? O.o
  15. The blanket training probably contributed as well. It is designed to "break" a child from exploring and I can see it squashing natural curiosity. The devil AND the rod waiting to pounce. The people really are child abusers on many levels.
  16. The media picked up the Instagram post from their "engagement anniversary". No reason they wouldn't the birth announcement. But as for cameras following them around for the actual birth ? That I would not expect.
  17. If a waffle flips over on it's plate and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? When Liam finds out Ivy lied to keep him (which of course she will), he's gonna be slinging butter and syrup everywhere! Hope should send Steffy a text asking if she ever gets tired of her leftovers.
  18. Ben's smile doesn't quite reach his eyes. He and Derrick are both showing some strain. The girls are trained Duggarbots and smile pretty on cue. Very sad.
  19. Bobby says "He's very immature" after Matthew starts smirking towards Sita. That's when Giada stops, looks at Bobby and asks if she can change her vote. Bobby also cited his immaturity in deliberations with Alex.
  20. The winners appetizer sauce was described as "poo sauce" by one of the contestants. And it kinda did look like it I gotta say. I now want to try this vinegar sauce that is so polarizing. I'm in Texas, so what's a good online source? And BBQ sauce in chocolate? No, no way and never. In that order. Gag.
  21. Dear B&B writers, My 70 year old mother yelled "ASSHOLE!" at Liam when he came on screen today. She tolerated him for years doing the waffletusi with Hope and Steffy. But this time you pissed her off. This woman has been watching soaps since God was a boy. You have failed to make your leading man viable. Please cut the crap and stop annoying her before she throws hard objects at her television. Regards, SpottedCoachDog
  22. Millions? Hundreds, maybe. Few thousand max. When I search Twitter for Duggar related posts (that can't be deleted by family and humpers) the tone is overwhelmingly negative. Jill's wedding (top rated show ever) only drew around 4 million viewers. Average viewership was in the 2 million area. They lose even have of their average viewers and they're venturing into Honey Boo Boo numbers. Would people watch again? The faithful will and the looky-loos will watch one or two. But I don't see it being enough, especially if you consider the power offended viewer have on the most important segment....advertisers. As to their influence beyond the show? I could wake up and see them on Today or GMA. Stop at the library and see "Growing Up Duggar" on the new releases shelf. Stop at the grocery store and see them on the cover of People. See a commercial for the show while watching a program on a Discovery sister channel. That's the insidious nature of pop culture. The little nudges throughout your day.
