  1. I don't know how to feel about this. I was kind of happy with what we got as a kinda-finale. Haven't really liked the plot or most of the mains since season 1, and while I appreciated season 3 trying to do some course-correcting...I just don't know :/. If they try to mash sidney and amanda together again and force it on us, I'll probably bail.
  2. Got interrupted by a phone call and a few other things, so i feel like a missed a lot of details so this episode has me feeling a little lost. Gonna have to give this episode a rewatch tomorrow so i can fully focus on everything that happened :P But from what i did see: I was actually enjoying the riddler/lee plotline more than the jerome one. Lee's new look and hair-do is fabulous. She looks great Happy that butch originally refused ozzy's offer and reaffirmed that they were not friends. When ozzy started bringing up their 'friendship' I boo'd at the screen. Does he not recall how once ed had entered the picture, he basically threw butch aside in terms of any nice friendship/co-worker dynamics? It was ed this ed that. Anyone else feel like butch has turned into a rather tragic character? His scenes this half of the season have left my heart aching :'(. I have to say it, but this is my least favorite jerome mini-arc we've gotten. As much as he and the other villains are talking about bringing chaos to gotham, this whole storyline is beginning to lack the fun chaotic energy that was found in the other two mini-arcs.
  3. You'd think with how close-knit the durrells and spiros seem to be (and how prominent of a role spiros has in the show) that we'd have seen his wife introduced or interacting with the family at this point (unless there's a certain reason behind it). Heck, even spiros barely mentions her. It just seems a bit odd, so that's why some of us are kinda suspicious about spiros' marriage status.
  4. Realized i never commented after the episode so I'll make it short. Decent episode. I like the arkham trio team-up so far. Harvey continues to be his lovely self. Found the "save each other"/cops all kinda cheering and happy kinda cheesy. Happy that babs' storyline is finally taking shape, but I hate to say it, that 'heck yeah! girl power!!!' moment when half of the oh-so-amazing league of shadows bit the dust felt so...telegraphed? Forced? i hate it when it comes off as so...un-natural feeling? Like, just let the ladies be naturally awesome on their own? I guess i just wish that seen was framed a little differently. I don't know, hopefully i worded that well enough to make sense. @Kathemy sums it up better. Still wondering where the heck alfred is??? Was he given a vacation or something after he and bruce made up? Paging Alfred: your boy is currently chasing a maniac!
  5. Not sure if I'll be watching this season. Last season just left me feeling burned out. Disappointed josh is back. Probably not a reduced season i've seriously been hoping for, so we'll have to sit through a bunch of episodes where literally nothing happens. Plus, our household might be cutting cable this summer. Still up in the air, though. And with Johnathan gone (one of the few bright spots the show had left)... :( My mom said she watched the special and that jake threw the usual hissy fit. Lol. And good to hear that none of the captains are enthusiastic about josh being back. *sighs* I just don't know :/
  6. Fare thee well, my queen. Gosh i'm gonna miss sofia (yes, i know she's only in a coma). As much as i loved her, though, i wish she would have been dead. Her storyline just felt complete at this point. I thought she was a great villain. Also, I kind of wonder how long it's been since the events in the 4a finale. Good to see zsasz and Victor again! And martin! And i can't believe that one hitman guy is alive after what oswald did to him. Oh well, it's gotham. Wonder what's going on with babs? Another ra's al ghul sighting!!! Selina's storyline this entire season hasn't really piqued my interest, so her stuff tonight with bruce kinda bored me. I also kept wondering where the heck alfred was. I already miss ed. Lee got some nice vengeance.
  7. I may just be going extremely loopy, but I thought long ago someone or something mentioned that the show was originally planned with 5ish seasons in mind. ??? It was probably just a crackpot dream of mine though :(, but considering how the seasons and storylines have played out, ending after season 4 or 5 seems reasonable. Heck, the season 3 finale would have served as a pretty solid finale, imo. Anyways, I'd love for a season 5 so my fingers are crossed.
  8. Eehhhh...not my favorite episode this season The ivy stuff was kind of blah Glad bruce and alfred have made up Harvey seems to be slowly gravitating back toward the gcpd and his bestie There's a reason why Sofia's the queen! Dang. Watching Lee get her hand smashed to bits was brutal. Another case of Sofia being 20 steps ahead of everybody. I friggin love her. Sadly, her reign might not last much longer.
  9. Lots of good stuff this episode Bruce's fever dream gave us so much: RA'S!!!! I was not expecting to see him MUSTACHE. THE MUSTACHE butler harvey petting a rooster Special agent alfred BATMAN BATCAVE BATS -More Lucius screentime; he has an adorable smile -Ivy the evil lorax. She speaks for the trees. -Queen Sofia has finally returned to grace our screens once again -even ozzy is a little scared of jerome. -the riddler revealing himself to ozzy -The whole ozzy vs jerome bit had me dying of laughter. We went from ozzy comically failing to electrocute him, "that is a spoon"... "it is also a fork!!!!!", then a mime-off resulting in ozzy kneeing jerome in the face and calling him a gingersnap. Brilliant. -looks like we're getting an ivy arc for a while, too. Her plant pollen/seed stuff...gotham sure has taken a liking of having it's city under the constant threat of bad airborne substances. Wonder if it's gonna be a repeat of last season, but instead of turning bad you die/turn into a plant
  10. Gotham's back y'all!!! This episode went by surprisingly fast Brucy boy :( RIP diner girl Alfred...it's good he sticks up for people like that, but he's so prone to jumping in head first with violence and his temper...like, dude. Listen to jimbo for once and calm down. You handled that situation terribly. Glad to see the writing for jim is still at the same level as it was in 4a. Still far from perfect, and he's definitely still trigger happy...but better than what season 2 and 3 gave us. I'll take what i can get. Harper! Ivy 3 is a thing now I don't care what people say, I love butch and tabs so much. They're so sweet together and the actors sell the heck out of their scenes together. I also rather liked Jim and Lee's scene together. They acted like adults and it was a little bitter sweet. Nicely done. If doctoring ever doesn't work out for lee she could make a killing as a motivational speaker Nice bait and switch with the lee-toymaker-ed-riddler thing. Wasn't expecting that twist. Lucious lucius is always good to see. I feel like since jim and harv have split up, he's been getting more screentime, which is nice. Jim and Harvey: status: still divorced, with harvey telling jim to sort out his issues before there's a chance of them getting back together. All in all a pretty decent opener.
  11. Dang. I don't know where to begin. This season has been so good (and the second half looks like it's gonna be fantastic as well). I'm probably gonna forget stuff, but i'm still processing that whammy of an episode: Zsasz. Dang. I had a feeling he'd eventually jump back to the falcones. That scene at falcone's funeral was fantastic. Him turning on ozzy was great too. RIP Falcone :'( another favorite dead. My favorites keep dwindling and dwindling. I wish he could have died in peace. Sofia...*applaudes* girl's a puppet master. All the twistyness of this episode! Pyg!!! I'm sure he probably isn't dead, but i wasn't expecting him to show up this episode! Good twist! Jim :( he caves so easily. You talked about abiding the law and finally being on the right path again and then sofia threatens you and you cave. Come on. You were doing pretty well for a while, there. Don't leave harvey ;_; The Alfred/Bruce scenes were heartbreaking. My gosh, when alfred packs his bags... Also sad: tabs and butch/grundy. Pretty brutal way to make him try to remember. And then she gives up :( and then he seemingly remembers :'( Ozzy locked up again! And then... Jerome! Great re-introductory scene This season has definitely been on par with season 2 for me. I've loved every single episode. It's been a wild ride.
  12. Well. The end of another season. Probably my least favorite by far. There's like, maybe 3 likable people left on this show. So much gagging this episode. So much. Almost everyone is so awful on this show at this point. Well, Demelza's dead to me, just like 95% of the rest of the characters already. The way they presented her character this season was not good. She just came off as disgruntled because she was being ignored, which made the her even more unlikable considering ross was actually a very busy man this season so him not having a whole lot of time to spend with demelza actually made sense. He wasn't spending all of his time chasing after elizabeth or antagonizing george like last season. He was trying to help the village and rescue dwight and trying to keep the peace. And the fact that she chose to do the deed with that teeny bopper-looking wannabe poet. :( Gagging when lover boy started rambling about ross being a friend and savior...but he's totally cool with cheating with ross' wife. Okay. Can he be pushed off a cliff along with george's brute minion? Prudie as well at this point. Did i miss the reason why the pirate guy was leading the angry mob? Is he just the currently designated mob leader for the village? Dang. That scene where elizabeth went off on george was spectacular. Wonderful acting. I actually felt a little bad for george, considering she's lying. Actually, dare i say Elizabeth was kind of the mvp this episode? Pretty great acting from Heida Reed. Elizabeth showed some real backbone this episode. She took time to listen to drake, she told george to dismiss what's-his-face, she defended her decision to have jeffy boy visiting the house, basically told george to knock it off with his ross obsession and then when she finally went off on george and hopefully put to rest his suspicions (even though she was lying). Bravo. Morwenna's sister is such a conniving witch. Uuurgghhhh how old is she again? And dang. Morwenna. Glad that whitworth at least seemed horrified at what she threatened to do to the baby. The chynoweth girls really showed some backbone this episode.
  13. Best Child helped deliver Best Daughter's baby :') he's come so far and has easily cemented his status as one of the best characters on the show. frustrating that we have to wait a whole other year to possibly find out spiros' actual marital status >:(. Is he married or not? Tell us already! Dang, vasilia stabbed hugh! But it looks like she's out of the picture. Same with hugh. I love louisa's love for corfu. She can't part with it. Glad the babies are all a-okay. Except one of the baby otters :'( Poor donald. It just seemed like he and margo were finally clicking at the end of last episode and now she's tossed him aside. At this point i hope donald moves on and they never end up together. He deserves better. Loved the scene where theo (pretty darn accurately) estimated the date in which we'd reach the moon and the smart people council just chuckled. Only off by a year! Quite impressive. That bird bee? beetle? flutist was so random, but it's on par with hugh's magic fiddler man, so it worked. I love how quirky this show is. Now leslie is thinking about being a doctor? I liked his photography stuff so i'm kinda hoping he sticks with that. Or the art stuff in general. I could have strangled larry (in an exasperated sort of way) this episode with how blasé he was being about all the births and stuff. C'mon, larry! Still love you though.
  14. Pr. Pyg literally cosplaying Chef Louis from The Little Mermaid and his amazing cell block tango rendition were definitely the highlights of this episode. Sweeney todd episode Alfred being a dad complete with snatching brucie's phone away and then later falling for bruce's "must have left the rocks in the car" move Calling foul on that Harper situation. 1) pyg wasn't even holding the knife to her throat, 2) harper literally gave jim permisson to shoot pyg despite her situation, and 3) he succeeded in making similar shots before (like with the ogre way back in season 1) so the odds were in his favor, i think. But no...jim is such a good-hearted boyscout all the sudden, there was no way he'd even risk the shot or call for backup or anything Pyg calling jim a smart cop...eeekk...i'm gonna chalk it up to his crazy fanboyism Ozzy cooked up his step-siblings so i don't know why he reacted the way he did. Didn't he try a bite of them too or was it the dog (or none of them and i just have really poor memory) gold star of the night goes to Harper with that hidden weapon. I was gonna be so mad if they killed her off. Ozzy forgetting about his 'no friends' policy real quick
  15. That's what i've been wishfully hoping for. I'm leaning towards parents because the more i think of kids, the more i don't see why spiros wouldn't bring them along to hang out with the durrell kids once in a while or go to any of the events with them (unless there's a reason they are unable to leave home). Same thing with a living wife. None of this adds up. If they introduce a living, non-divorced wife i'll probably end up rage-quitting. Please no jane eyre antics either.
  16. I've been in mourning for Nana Poldark all week. I miss her dearly :(. She was quite literally the only character i've been rooting for since the beginning. All I have left now is Geoffrey Charles. And verity when she pops in on occassion. Kinda wish Jeffy boy would continue the witchcraft in her honor. Any chance of him playing with voodoo dolls with elizabeth in front of that fire while eating those cakes? Whitworth.....uuurggghhh and Morwenna's sister...uurggghh here i thought that she was maybe doing it on purpose to somehow help ruin the marriage so morwenna could somehow split from him...somehow...but nope. :/ doesn't look like that anymore. Elizabeth and ross acted like adults this episode! I liked their scene at the church. And then i proceeded to almost rip my hair out after that ross confession scene to demelza turned out to be fake. Uuuuuuggghhhhhh why??? I despise this demelza storyline. Not only is it a rehash of her storyline last season with that one officer, but here she's giggling and googly-eyeing like a schoolgirl with that teenage-looking poet artist wannabe. I don't want her to stoop to ross' level with cheating. Even dwight and caroline have caught on and are probably silently judging you. I pray that they never get tangled in a dumb infidelity plotline. And uurrghhh Prudie. I'm not fond of her egging Demelza on. Bby Val is so cute. Don't be distant george :( like, i get it. For once your dramatics are kinda warranted in this situation, but still :(. Lots of uuurggghhhhhhhs and uuughhhs and icks this episode. And the entire season, really. Not my favorite. In all honesty, even though ross' character has long since fallen from grace, he's the one i've been the least frustrated with this season. The man just wants to settle down and have a quiet life for once, but no. He has to deal with the war stuff, the george vs the town stuff, now the dumb demelza/wannabe lovesick poet *and* people are trying to shove him into a position of power he clearly doesn't want and feels unfit for. He just wants a simple life and i find it kinda relatable.
  17. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY HEART I loved this episode. Love love love love it was hilarious! And my shipper heart is about to burst. Everything about the cricket match was hilarious. Total testosterone match.Men. :P Leslie and hugh were so into it. I was laughing so hard when the ball was thrown/hit? Into the air and hugh just screeched at them to catch it during practice. Speaking of hugh: i feel like this is the episode where i finally liked him and how he fit in with the durrells. Loved the first swim scene and he seems to honestly like louisa. I think he's definitely over vasilia. I guess the only downside to him this episode was him talking about winning "her" and the fact that he wants to go back to england. I'm gonna guess that's gonna be a dealbreaker. Theo's "white knight" scene was spectacular. Loved how he was so into the cricket game too I liked the gerry and the falcon (?) scenes. I just hope it doesn't end up in a cage. I sided with gerry this time with the tutoring. Knowing all the kings and the time that they reigned, etc....yeah. Leslie calling lugaretzia, "luga" warms my heart SPIROS/SPIRO (because i still see it listed both ways in various pbs media i'll probably just stick with spiros, so forgive me). It's ONCE AGAIN mentioned how he's married, they mention wife and kids SO WHY DON'T WE EVER SEE THEM IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY. Why didn't he bring them to the cricket match???? He's head over heels for Louisa and i love them so much. And of course he'd shake off getting conked in the head with a cricket ball. Shout out to Spiros' baseball jersey. The town/team name on the front of his uniform is actually my hometown's name :) just when i get tired of donald, he and margo finally start to click at the very end (even if it's still pretty superficial on margo's side). Margo should have played for the brits' team Loved the greece vs britain + other countries banner. That had sven smirking. The ending with everyone swimming was heartwarming My heart feels like it's gonna explode. All the louisa x spiros!!!!
  18. Can I just say i'm loving this season? Defintiely a step up from season 3 imo. Well, it's official. Jim and Harvey are officially divorced. The papers were signed and everything. Dang. Their scenes hurt my heart. Oh, Harvey, why couldn't you show up to the bullet club? :'( Butch and Tabs being reunited also hurt my soul. Tabs loved Butch so much and Grundy can barely remember her :'( Lee this season continues to be my favorite lee since her introduction. You go, girl! She's the head honcho of the club now! Firefly! Wasn't expecting to see her. RIP Cherry; i enjoyed you while you lasted Ed's become quite the showman Oswald sure loves to stab people in the throat. That's the second episode in a row. Him adopting a bby murder birb is awesome though. Now i'm just wondering who the kid is gonna try to murder. Sofia maybe? Ozzy in some plot twist? Hmmmm At least Ozzy's finally realized Sofia's been playing him Proud of jim for seemingly breaking ties with sofia. Speaking of jim; can't remember the last time i've enjoyed him so much. It feels like he's put on his big boy pants this season. i feel like the writing for his character is so much better this season for some reason.
  19. Popping in here amidst the marvel/fox discussion to say that i finally watched ant-man, and my quest to catch up on the mcu movies is continuing. I've given up on age of ultron for the time being as someone suggested to me earlier in this thread. I'm still like a whole phase behind. Lol. I found ant-man to be pretty enjoyable. The villain concept was nothing new, but i liked the heist theme and the ants reminded me of honey, i shrunk the kids (which is a good thing, i think). Enjoyed the cast and the battles were pretty neat. Enjoyable film.
  20. So the masterpiece pbs twitter account spelled our wonderful Corfu man as ""spiros" and i am now even more confused about how to properly spell his name. On the site it's spiro but for other places it's spiros and i don't know anything anymore. The flash went off and it revealed a syringe full of 'ectoplasm' in her hand that she was gonna use which led to shouting, the chicken flapping onto the table and the window curtains being opened.
  21. NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  22. A more somber episode. :( Lugaretzia's scene where she said the sky was falling and someone was going to die (which probably came true based on the two monks in the background of a later scene) had me laughing. Mrs. Hudson took up a part-time job as a fraud. Leslie has art skills. Margo with a cabbage mask was funny. You could really feel how badly Louisa was mourning her husband :'( glad she got some closure. A new puppy! Still not completely sold on Hugh, though.
  23. Anyone else feel like Gotham's hit the home stretch? Maybe it's just me.
  24. Loving Pyg. This episode had me stressed with all the yelling (how is harvey able to yell so much in his condition?) Pleasantly surprised they didn't catch pyg this episode. The guy who plays him is awesome so it's cool. He can stick around. I was kinda thinking that the cop guy might be pyg when he repeated the officer's words to jim, but then i was like...'nah' but then they went and did it. That was a nice twist even if it was half-expected Pyg continues to fanboy over jim even though jim confessed to working for ozzy??? With this, Jim and Harvey are officially divorced and my heart is broken Harvey's on a downward spiral. Someone save him. I hate seeing him like this. Penguin's hair reached new heights tonight Pretty sure selina has the worst track record ever when it comes to heists. I can't remember the last one where nothing went wrong Babs coming in and slaying like a queen That was a really gruesome way to go. Ick. Death by burning rubber. Head hunter was entertaining but of course he didn't last. I hope the competent detective lady doesn't meet the same fate. Bruce has upgraded from billionaire brat to billionaire playboy. Dang. He was savage. Another parallel with batman begins when he buys the place. This stuff with jim would work so much better if he didn't do quite as many bad deeds as he's done. I feel like they're trying to retool him back to more how he was in season 1. First episode without Victor this season, i believe. He deserves his vacation though. I'm honestly enjoying the recent focus on the gcpd. It reminds me of season 1 and how i imagined the show to be. Cop antics with a side of bruce wayne and villains. I know most people prefer, by far, bruce and the villains, but i appreciate the cop focus.
  25. Another good episode. Of course Larry is being used by the evil land lady. I laughed so hard when he showed up late to louisa's bday party looking so proud when he held up thst little plant thing. And theo got her a fossil. Lol. So louisa had her mid-life crisis. I actually thought she looked really pretty with the headband in her hair, but then she took it too far with the outfits and stuff. She looks great in red. Leslie continues to be a lovable teddy bear. Living up to that 'Best son' title. Glad he found a new hobby in photography! He seems tocreslly enjoy it. and i suppose that's where they'll get part of their rent money from now that Larry's moved out. I continue to ship louisa and Spiros (spiro? I don't know anymore) more and more. Spiros, you jealous man. I actually thought he was using Hugh's car's 'bad engine' as an excuse to barge in on their date, but then it turns out he literally could tell that the engine was gonna croak just by the sound. Impressive. Or at least for me it was because i know next to nothing about cars. So the pic wasn't of his family...and i thought he said it was of a goddess or royalty or something, but it was hard to tell. And i think he said he knew what his family looked like, so 'no' to the picture opportunity. Probably will have to try rewatching that scene if possible.
