S12.E22: Who We Are/S12.E23 All Along the Watchtower
ILoveReading replied to Diane's topic in Supernatural
Why is this show so against actually acknowledging Dean's suffered too. They've had multiple opportunities to bring up what he's been through but every single time it was ignored. -

This has to be the worst finale. Crowley died for nothing, Lucifer is still alive. Little Lucifer will just be a rehash of the Amara storyline, probably with a connection to Sam. I don't care about about Mary to worry about her fate. -

That speech went just like I thought it would. It was all about how the deal effected Sam, Sam and Sam. Dean you did do a good job. Nice way to sideline Dean from the action Sam's not a leader, hes' a follower and it didn't work. "Even though I was the only hunter to actually fall for their spiel and you all didn't follow me against them." Im guessing Jensen liked it because he got use the grenade launcher and punch Ketch, other wise I got nothing. -
If Berens left I wouldn't miss him
-
I was hoping we'd see more interaction with him and Dean. I thought they had really good chemistry. David did a great job with the material he was given. He created a character that I love to hate.

It's not Ketch. It's just a shapeshifter. The real Ketch has gone into hiding. I like the character.

IMO, the only role Dean resumed this season was that of the family doormat. The minute he apologized to Mary for some uncomfortable truths he told her and she sat there gloating like she'd done nothing wrong. What's the point of Dean expressing himself if no one listens to him. Mary and Sam certainly didn't defer to Dean when they chose Team Brit. I'm not sure sure Dean doesn't think of himself as a killer. When Ketch mentioned it, Dean didn't respond either in the affirmative or the negative. Dean isn't a leader anymore. He doesn't come up with any plans, or inspirational speeches or bond with many guest stars and tends to get his ass handed to him more often than not. And if Dean did come up with a plan would anyone really listen? As for the witch kill, I'm convinced that the reason Dean got it was because Jared was off for his daughters birth. Yeah he got a nice shot last ep, but so did Sam and Dean was the one who got taken down by Toni. You can easily remove Dean from this season and it would make very little difference and certainly not to any major storyline.

I'm talking about the minute and a half sneak peek we get every week, not the promo. Plus, screen time doesn't equal importance. Dean was on screen just as much as Sam, if not a little more in The Memory Remains but you could film that entire episode without Dean. He had no impact on it. The promo for 10.09 is also another good example. That made it look like the ep was going to focus heavily on Dean and the Mark of Cain yet the episode was mostly about Claire with all the Dean stuff coming at the end.

I'd rather the mystery man be Metatron then Bobby
-
Or I'm adopted Sam. There have been times this season where I seriously questioned this.
-
I don't put a lot of faith into what Carter Matt says. I find s/he take knowing spoilers and puts their own spin on them
-
I think that character that will die permanently is Rowena.
-
Those spoilers fit the over all pattern of Berens/Dabb episodes so they are probably right. They also fit with Jared saying he was surprised they went there and he's excited by it.
-
Probably Sam and Cas
-
It sounds like both Sam and Cas are going to have storylines next season. And Dean......

It looks like Jensen and Jared might be at the upfronts this year. -
I thought the old favorite was going to be Garth

Ratings And Scheduling: I Can't Do This Alone

I don't know if its just the move. Episodes 9,10, 11, and 12 were on par with the first half of the season. -
http://shixpe.tumblr.com/post/160768105174/thefiercebeast-iamyourking-thefiercebeast This proves to me that the mystery guy is Bobby. If you superimpose the two images, its pretty much a perfect match. http://ejgibbo.tumblr.com/post/160733355084/ejgibbo-supernatural-promo-12x2223-2-in Someone also magnified the board behind the British Men of Letters, it says eliminated under Sam's name.
