  1. From what we've seen of Donna if she comes up against something Supernatural she calls Sam and Dean. How many Vampires have we seen her kill? One? She might have the basic skills but there is a big difference between between just taking care of what comes along and actively seeking out cases. We haven't even really seen her do that without calling in Sam and Dean. It just feels like another retcon, like they did with Missouri when the show tried to claim she was hunter. I know we don't see them every week or what they do all the time, but Donna actively seeking out cases or Jody doesn't feel organic.
  2. So Donna carries around a hunting kit now? Does she even sheriff anymore?
  3. I'm curious too. Because that scene where patience says she never held a gun before and Donna just hands it to her and suddenly she's a perfect shot made me cringe.
  4. Apparently, bloggers were given a prescreening so I imagine there will be a ton more articles tomorrow.
  5. I don't except Sam or (especially) Dean to factor into this much. Other than to sing the girls praises.
  6. I do think the majority of this episode is going to focus on Claire. We've seen that its Claire and Kaia in Monster world. Jody, Donna and the rest don't seem to be there. I think this ep will be mostly paint by the the numbers. I figure Sam and Dean will be the teaser. We'll see the scene were they get captured. After the opening I figure we'll get the scene of Claire fighting and killing the monster. Jody will call her and tell her about Sam and Dean. She's goes back, recruits Alex, Kaia and Patience who are reluctant to help. Donna joins in we get the scene of them shooting and fighting because because they're badass. Then they get to where the porthole can be opened. Claire will go in, with Kaia so they can get back, and Claire be the one to kill a dinosaur and save Sam and Dean. There will be a problem and the rift won't close completely allowing monsters to be able to get out and conveniently head to Sioux Falls. We'll see Sam and Dean for about 30 seconds before the go to commercial and for maybe 2 minutes at the end when Dean will apologize for not having faith in untrained teenagers badass woman. Then he'll tell them they got this and they're better hunters than he ever was and to call if they need help. Hug Jody goodbye and end credits.
  7. I don't get Dabb's obsession with Lucifer (just die already) but I can understand why Samantha Smith might not have been made a regular. The return of Mary went over like a lead balloon and and the character wasn't embraced.* That's the problem with Dabb and Berens and their ideal of "kickass woman" He's too eager to make them "kick ass" he forgets to writer them as relatable people first. *Not meaning to state this as fact or speak for everyone or even a majority. Just a majority of the sites I frequented.
  8. Massive eyeroll. Hunting really has become just a hobby anyone can do these days. All you really need is an attitude. Kind of sucks for Sam and Dean that they had their entire childhood's sacrificed and had to be raised like warriors to be good at it.
  9. I doubt I'll tune in. None of the characters really interests me. It's ironic that after Kripke said Supernatural wouldn't be One Tree Hill with monsters that is exactly what the spin off was. But I'm not sure how much it will focus on Jody or Donna. I expect the only way they could get Katheryn to sign (since she seems to be signing on to a lot of projects) was to promise her top billing. The CW still seems to be targeting a younger crowd so I figure the focus will be on the girls with Jody/Donna serving as mentors.
  10. Hopefully with Donna saying don't lie to God, that person in the cell might be Chuck
  11. Adam/Original Michael was my first thought too. I really hope it isn't. Because it would just give the show more reasons to ignore Dean's connection. I wonder if something bad happened to Dean at then end of episode 12, since Danneel's character is supposed to be a faith healer.
  12. I wonder if they pulled the promo they released yesterday because the Shaving People Punting things video wasn't ready. Because it seems deliberate that they re-release it and then almost immediately after they release the Shaving People Punting things one. It feels like a bait and switch to me. That along with Pedowitz's comments, it feels like the they don't have much faith in the backdoor pilot to stand on its own.
  13. New Shaving people hunting things video
  14. The article contains a clip. This looks....not good.
  15. In the past the show has had no problem adding a character and saying he's an old friend. They could have have had Dean on the phone with a no name character asking if they could recommended a physic or show a one sided conversation. Anyone but a teenager who Dean told to stay away from hunting.
  16. I was refering to the start of episode 9. Dean calls Patience and asks for her help in locating Jack.
  17. From the Unpopular opinion thread For me personally, it isn't that Sam and Dean need help. It's that the help is coming in the form untrained teenagers. It's the fact that they're making the guys do things they wouldn't normally do to set up the situation. Sam and Dean have been in the business a long time but we (the audience) is supposed to believe that the only person they can call for help is a teenage psychic who has no control over her powers and who Dean warned away from hunting? That promo shows how easily Sam and (especially) Dean get taken out by the hooded figure but her comes teenagers (not even Jody and Donna) who save Sam and Dean from themselves. These days all you need to be a good hunter is an app and an attitude. It really sucks for Sam and Dean whose whole childhood's were sacrificed and they had to be raised like warriors to be good hunters. Dean summed it up best when he said: "This ain't gender studies. Woman can do the job just fine. Amateurs can't." The job seems to big for their first case.
  18. Moving my response to the bitter spoilers thread because my answer contains a spoiler for the upcoming ep
  19. Do you have link? Dean's needed to be saved in every episode so far, so your probably right.
  20. I didn't read the comments but I did see one person complaining about the negativity to the promo. How much there was I don't know.
  21. yup. That was my first thought as well. Dean gets to mess up and lose the book because...reasons. To bad, Yockey was the last hope but he seems to have drunk the koolaide.
  22. My biggest issue isn't that Sam and Dean need help. It's that Jody and Donna seem to be reaching out for help from teenagers who have never hunted before. It feels like they're making the girls uber hunters too fast.
