  1. Emily is not letting the fact she had zero storyline stop her from answering everyone else's questions.
  2. Apparently Bryn took KKB's direction and made another nonsense Paltrow reference (Paltrow ran into someone on the ski slopes, resulting in a lawsuit where -even if she was innocent - ageism & elitism were on full display).
  3. Sai, once again exclaiming she doesn't care about a nonsensical argument that she created in her own mind and then proceeding to have an absolute fit about said argument.
  4. Velshi flew to Jordan after appearing in studio yesterday and reported from there today. I'm not sure if he's been able to cross into Israel yet.
  5. My take on this was Emily and Gina had conferred prior to the reunion to review talking points and Gina had forgotten to note the agreed-upon fictitious reason for losing her shit on Jenn.
  6. 1. Shep didn't want Taylor 2. Austen and Olivia didn't really date 3. Shep literally hit on Chelsea, Naomie and various other women while his friends were in relationships with them. And frankly I don't know how anyone tells those two women apart so for all we know Austen mistook Taylor for Olivia.
  7. I think MJ has been getting some pressure to feature folks from the other side of the aisle for a long time, but potential guests were allegedly warned against appearing on the show so we only got the odd exception when folks like Kinzinger showed (whose appearances I actually miss). Now that Christie is pursuing the presidency for himself and he thinks we've all contracted amnesia, he's developed a symbiotic relationship with MJ. I'll only watch Christie's segments when Mika is not in "France", bc she's the only one who challenges him.
  8. Emily is going to sprain something with the way she is blaming Heather for Tamra's insults.
  9. Same thoughts. I needed to see everyone's reactions to her likability issues. I read a little bit about the case after the show. Apparently the prosecutor spoke out in defense of Schnack bc he felt people were too critical of her online. 🤔 I briefly visited one of Schnack's sm accounts and was not shocked by what I found.
  10. I wasn't expecting a very compelling interview, but I found tonight's episode particularly...lacking.
  11. I'm so glad Madison has a starring role this season. That carrot allergy anecdote was compelling.
  12. Claire did mention on MJ last week she and Palmieri may discuss baking during their podcast. (I always develop such a hankering for chocolate bundt whenever there's one on the stand. Here's more of Claire's cooking, peace sign pajama pants included.)
  13. On thing that gives me hope for our country is the unity of our absolute and unwavering reaction to The Carrollton Plot.
  14. Last season she said the fiancé made her throw one out as part of his "no sex before marriage" edict. I think Madison's RH counterpart would be Meghan King Edmonds - both say a bunch of things that aren't true, then pick fights about things they don't actually care about in order to get some kind of on-camera one-upmanship.
  15. I take no pleasure in recounting this, but remember the conversation between Shep and Cameran several seasons ago when Shep swore he would never reveal any details about Austen's risque bedroom antics, them proceeded to tell Cam that Austen spelled out 'butt stuff' in rose petals for Madison, who happily answered in the affirmative? Yeah, I'm gonna go back to watching Nicolle Wallace, who is swearing a blue streak on Deadline today. ETA: Not gonna lie - I often wonder what colloquialism Austen actually used, because as unromantic as I find Austen I cannot believe he actually spelled out "butt stuff".
  16. A Madison-focused episode is not the way to go for the premiere. Besides the fact she's terrible, she has no authentic relationship with anyone on the show. This show really suffers without Cameran and Naomie. The guys on the show respected them (exception being Craig towards Naomie, obvi) without thinking they might be able to sleep with them. The environment is incredibly misogynistic and they gave the show a little balance.
  17. This week I have to say I can offer zero criticism of Mika. I'll even give Joe a pass today by lowering the bar and comparing him to his counterpart on The Beat (granted I do not see the point in interviewing Gaetz unless you're going to spend 3 minutes firing a marshmallow shooter at him but I really don't know what the hell I just watched - at least Joe's indignation gives us something).
  18. I'm not entirely sure how Jimmy Buffett and Joe grew up together (as Joe stated during his opening comments) as there is at least a 15 year age difference between the two men. Maybe celebrity math is different? This morning Joe also stated he ran against Bill and Hillary Clinton. Thank the gods for the producer who whispered in Joe's ear to clarify to viewers that actually did not happen. Two standouts during vacation week: Matt Lewis, after listening to Willie's intro about a "smart" Ramaswamy, immediately countered that the dude has a situational relationship with the truth. And Barnacle, who has clearly had it with the weekly Christie segments, asking the candidate "How do you convince people that your party is still sane?".
  19. A comment on one of the IG pics: I guess the show is now Morning Willie? I think Morning Willie should be the new show name for Way Too Early (keeping Lemire as host, of course).
  20. I don't want to spend the next ten months hearing about Vivek's command of ludicrous talking points or Haley's alleged ability to be "the adult in the room". MJ put Medhi on 27 hours too late this week to properly summarize the debate. Willie, I love ya (mostly). But I don't know how you got through praising the long hours MJ hosts put in. ESPECIALLY WHEN LEMIRE ISN'T EVEN PRESENT! (Unless he was just underhandedly praising the crew only, which would be delicious shade.)
  21. "Once a politician, always a politician. Even if you quit your elected position mid-term." Added that last part for you, Joe. I do not want to shame the man if he was being honest about the reasons for his resignation. But no matter the circumstances you think he'd show a little bit of reticence since he did actually resign. But we're back to 3-4 mentions per day. And Mika disappears just in time for an interview with two women authors. Which may be a good thing bc I don't want her to start putting big KYV! stickers of approval on books a la Joan Callamezzo. (And this may be a bit mean but Knapp handled herself fabulously, especially in comparison to Mika this morning who had a relevant and simple question about Prigozhin, yet stammered her way through it.)
  22. I do not think you are off base. At all. I can understand why so many viewers at minimum find Shannon a frustrating watch. But the juxtaposition of glowing close-ups of Emily & Gina while Shannon was showing legit troubling behavior seemed...dishonest. I won't go into Emily's personal views seeming to be a direct contradiction to what the Innocence Project fights against; I'll just say the editing seemed to want to punish Shannon for not understanding how much help she needs. I actually felt Heather was the only one this episode who was expressing defense of herself and vexation with Shannon honestly. Then she & Terry started spending money like they were Mauricio Umansky on a European vacation and I was done with her, too. ETA as an adoptee I loved the conversation with Jen & Dominic. THIS. Tamra was practically salivating at the glorious results of her misdeeds during the dinner.
  23. I still find the way Emily & Gina went after Shannon last year really messed up. But damn this episode was tough. Don't think I'm a fan of a staged reality TV intervention - which is what this seems like.
  24. I can't with Christie, his bi-weekly appearances and MJ's amnesia. At least when Mika's on she gives him dirty looks. Did an influential attorney pen a strongly worded letter to our former congressman? What was with the caveats today? "We don't know about cults. Mika does not have any formal training that qualify her to identify cults. I repeat - we have no knowledge of cults." Interesting to know Joe's oldest also has a horde of friends who will continue to vote for Trump.
  25. Seriously. For the past three years they should have been covering reviews of why Trump may be ineligibility to run instead of just pretending to listen to Edward Foley today then quickly pivoting that it would be harmful to the country to bar Trump from running. As much as I rag I do appreciate Mika's astonishment over the human race's ability to be terrible. But since she's making millions to read the news she should be required to do just that instead of just clutching her scarf at the threats made against Judge Chutkan. She left it to whathisface (sorry the brain is failing me today), who noted the impact of the language.
