  1. Yes the others were emotional but EK was darn near inconsolable. I honestly didn't mind a little emotion. I think it just goes to show they have a nice working environment, However everyone else was able to get through the interview. EK wasn't. It was awkward how upset she was.
  2. I am so impressed with how professional Chad is presenting himself on Talking Dead. One of the best post death interviews I've seen. This was the one time we needed TD to immediately follow so we could decompress.
  3. I think that's Michonne is tired. Not only that when she was wandering after the prison burned down and she saw that dooplganger walker she realized it was not good to out wandering too long. You have to find away to make some sort of civilization for yourself or you go feral. Sure that community wasn't a great idea but she knows they have to have a plan.
  4. When you have a good actor giving such a moving performance you can honestly feel the emotions the show clearly wants you to feel. Nice touch with Martin Gov'not and everybody almost like heaven and hell. RIP Tyreese. Gonna miss you.
  5. Now that had me up in my feels. Tyreese really wasn't built for this world. So sad. There is something really strange happening at that development. I didn't need to see Beth again and I certainly didn't need to hear her sing again, but I liked the style of this episode.
  6. I thought so too until I actually met online a person who actually believed it.
  7. I've been watching the marathon on and off. Still dislike Dale, Lori was annoying and I'm kind of pissed at what the writer's did with Andrea. She was okay with me until Woodbury. Then she became the dumbest female on earth and I was happy when she was gone. The attempts to flesh out Beth still bug. The moonshine ep is still beyond stoopid. It makes sense now why Sasha was wearing that heavy sweater in Georgia heat. They were trying to hide the actress's pregnancy.
  8. IIRC they had indeed been planning her death for at least a year prior. I think the increased screen time was an attempt to make her a well rounded character so that people cared when she died instead of leaving her as some vague red shirt like Jacqui or half the Woodbury folks were (Tyreese's girlfriend Karen included). I call Katrina the Beth of Sleepy Hollow all the time. Both characters have stayed well beyond their expiration point and many find their increased screen time annoying as it takes a way from characters that many want to see. As mentioned Beth does not exist in the comic books.
  9. Well AMC just released a clip of the first 2 minutes of Sunday's show. It appears that they are burying Beth and are going to Noah's hometown.
  10. Hang in there when this clicks together it will be worth it. The first time I saw season 2 I was like, "WUT?" Now after countless re-watches I appreciate season 2's place in The Wire landscape. To quote Smooth Lester, "All the pieces matter"

Makes sense or even just moving over to the meet market would work.
  12. The title of this article talks about Darryl going dark post Beth, but says that all the characters go through a dark period dealing with Beth's death.
  13. Honestly I think all the deaths are designed to make use see them as family. The individual groupings are just to see the characters as people and not just some random like Karen was. So we get Sasha/Bob/Tyreese, Carol/Darryl, even Maggie & Glenn going off with Abe/Tara/Rosita/Eugene was an attempt to make them less cartoon characters and more as people. Hence getting Abe's backstory Tara telling Eugene she won't tell, Maggie taking care of Eugene (and in a way Abe). Even the stupid preacher being saved by Michonne and Carl. It broadened who they are as people, and drew them together so when Rick says, this is his family. It really is hs family. They've decided to stick together as a unit in order to survive. That's their hope and humanity. Touche and I agree 100%. It goes back to my theory they are family. They all mourned Bob and they will all mourn Beth.
  14. I watched that segment. They quoted the petition as calling the character the "voice of hope". They also pretty much agreed she had her head blown off and while it was unlikely yeah they could make it a dream, but (imo) seemed pretty skeptical of that happening. As for the misogyny claims; I don't see it that way. When Scott Gimple took over one of the things he wanted to do was flesh out the B & C players. Part of splitting up the group was to be able to give them stand alone eps that could hopefully help them feel more like multi-dimensional characters. In otherwords to build up some investment in the characters. Sure Darryl was the one who shot Dawn, but I saw tears and shock in Rick & Carol. We also got Maggies breakdown. Since we have seen what happens next, I think it's a bit premature to say her death was to further Darryl's man pain. I expect to see ALL of the group grieving over her loss. I think in part Gimple did his job. People cared about Beth because she had become more than just the girl who baby sat and sang songs. Honestly I think Gimple was looking to tighten up the storytelling and when all was sad and done EK's skill as an actress weren't up to the task of making Beth and interesting character in terms of where he wants to take the story. The show is popular enough now that it can attract actors with stronger resumes and skills.

The show has from the very beginning been willing to kill off it's characters. It's based on a comic book series which kills off characters on the regular. Yes some of the more prominent characters appear to have a measure of security, but honestly other than Rick & Darryl I wouldn't count on it. Beth was not a prominent character, no matter how much of a cult following she may have had. This petition will carry as much weight as the change.org petition to have the president deport Justin Beiber did.
  16. Please give me the link to this special snowflake tumblr. I could use a good laugh.
  17. So that's supposed to be low key shade that Beth is gone? I would never have gotten that.
  18. That only furthers the argument that she was a bit unprofessional. For most actors it's a life of rejection going on auditions that go no where and shooting pilots that never see the light of day. I have no problem with showing some emotion and being teary eyed. The actors who played TDawg, Hershel and Andrea all seemed a bit teary eyed. EK was barely able to hold it together. That's not a good look if you hope to get cast in anything else.
  19. Not one bit. I was actually hoping they'd never find her after they saw her driven off in that car. If you watch the scene closely not only is Darryl upset, but both Rick and Carol are in tears. Maggie has that dramatic breakdown. From what I saw others were clearly impacted by her death This could actually happen. People have had that happen to them and lived. Personally I think it would be kind of awesome, but I agree, I doubt TPTB would take that route on tv. What's starting to annoy me is every post interview she gives EK is talking about how she doesn't feel it was Beth's time to go. It feels a little too much "poor whittle me" and unprofessional. I'd love to see an interview where she talks about enjoying her time on the show, but she's looking forward to doing other things now and "Oh by the way, have you listened to my new single?"
  20. If Jax signs legal papers assigning Wendy as custodian yes. Checking back into rehab for a tuneup after a one time relapse wouldn't prevent that. In fact unless someone contested her custody it would be a non issue.
  21. Except for dramatic license Gemma didn't have to die. She had lost everything and wanted to die. Jax is already in pain and conflicted due to the knowledge that his own mother killed his wife and sat by and watched while he wrecked havoc because of her lies. A loving mother would have realized that the last thing he need was the guilt of killing his own mother on top of the guilt/pain/conflict he was already feeling. You could see that inner turmoil in the way he hesitated. Gemma encouraged him to kill her to end her own pain with no thought to how much added pain it would mean for him.
  22. I'm thinking all of them will mourn her loss, but it may also have an impact on Carol since she was wondering if she was fit to be around folks. I think the talks she had with Darryl in Consumed helped, but also Beth helping keep her alive while she was in Grady may impact her as well.
  23. For me it was how she died. She died once again manipulating Jax to do her dirty work. Since some have made Breaking Bad/Walter White comparisons, I'll put it this way. At the end of BB bad Walter White saves Jesse. Walter has manipulated and played Jesse through out the run of the series. Walt frees Jesse & Jesse gets one of the guns from his captors and aims it at Walt. Jesse tells Walt he has to ask for it. Walt knowing he's dying does but Jesse refuses to kill him and takes off. Sadly Jax hasn't had as much of an awakening as Jesse so when Gemma tells him to go ahead & shoot because, "this is who we are" Jax does it. He hasn't yet come to the realization that leaving Gemma alone to stew in her own misery would have been a far worse punishment. Gemma deserved to die, she just didn't deserve to have Jax be the one to do it.
  24. I realize I may be hoping against hope (and logic) here, but I want a semi happy ending. Let at least Nero take the kids to the farm. I don't really care if Wendy is there or not. Have someone find and publish that book JT wrote which causes the downfall of SAMCRO permanently. Have Tig & Venus go away together. Bonus points for a flash forward to Abel reading his father's letters in a therapist office as a teen. Jax can either die or be left broken and alone as penance for all his sins.
  25. Wendy's never seen partner left her when she went to rehab after she slipped up last season. She mentioned it to Gemma around the time Juice was hiding out in her old apartment.
