  1. Did I imagine it or didn't Arizona mention she got the idea to 3D print the baby's skull because of working with Dr Herman and this was how she would explain things to her?
  2. I'll be the cheese that stands alone. I loved this episode because it felt more focused on the medical than all the interns love lives. A good example of this is how Arizona has her hair braided down when she goes into the OR. Lucas is definitely being set up for a redemption arc of some sort. However they are making him extremely unlikable in the meantime. What person drinks the last of the coffee?
  3. I really hope they aren’t setting us up for another round of Schmico, but Nico is back this week. If they are, I really wish they had casted more nerdy looking actor or at least dressed the actor they did cast more overtly nerd like.
  4. They had a halfway decent storyline last season with him being the black sheep of the Shepard family and Nick figuring out he had ADHD but like so many storylines, that seems to have been dropped. In fact I just rewatched last season and the writer showed so much promise with this new batch of interns and Meredith being gone and all of that appears to have been tossed out the window and replaced with a bunch of plots to set up romantic interest for everyone. I don't need Meredith back, I'm not interested in another Amelia romance, and I'm especially not interested in another round of Schmico, a ship I used to love. Nick had potential as a doctor. I don't care if Helms and Yasuda are sleeping together. It's a step up from Helms lack of character development outside of being Levi's friend and her unrequited love of Grey. I am pissed that they made Maggie into Ellis 2.0 and had her villainized instead of it simply being that she and Winston had a pandemic romance that couldn't make it. I disagree that Bailey was the worse chef, but blame that on the writers deciding to make Richard come up with that stupid teaching method that was previously tried by that female Doctor (I forget her name) and dumped and Catherine's undermining with Koracick. If we want to talk bad, it was under Owen that half the doctors were in that plane crash. IIRC under Derek when they had the shooting. Hell, they cut the L vlad wire under Richard's watch & Meredith ruined the Alzheimer's trial under his watch. (Speaking of which, how she would ever be allowed anywhere near any sort of Alzheimer's research every again is beyond me.) I don't think Bailey was any better or worse than anyone else who was chef. I miss the show that managed to balance medical drama with romance and instead what we get is more or less a soap set in a hospital.
  5. I hate the idea of yet another Schmico reunion. They have never fully developed Nico as a character. What happened to his parents no knowing he’s out? What happened to the invite to move in together? They dropped far too many storylines and ultimately just made him a meat stick for Levi. He literally was Levi’s “gay Sherpa”. The actor deserves better. I also hate how they ruined Amelia & Linc and now Amelia gets paired with every new character
  6. Twink Levi was cute. Grown up Levi is just your average gay. Everyone at this hospital has the libido of a horny 16 year old.
  7. She doesn’t and I hate that this is clearly Amelia latest romance. I HATE that they brought Nico back with thee dumbest storyline to date. Schmico was a rollercoaster romance, but Levi dumped him. He’s been gone at least a year, even in Grey’s time. Give Levi a decent love interest & stop teasing us that Schimco is happening again. The writers already destroyed all that was cute about that relationship. As for the new interns, I only sorta like Simone & Lucas so of course, they’ll drag that out until it’s insufferable. *As an aside, I still find it distracting that Jake & Nick played love interest in a movie 4 years ago. I simply cannot unsee it.
  8. Since the actress decided to leave the show they turned Maggie into Ellis Grey and made her all about her career. In the end the character took a job out of state but she & Winston are supposed to be trying to have a long distance relationship.
  9. Agreed. Nick as a doctor was one of the better things going for this attempted reset. As much as I like the idea of Bailey in charge of the interns, I’d rather Bailey run the clinic & Nick oversee the interns.
  10. I guess it easier to divide this into Good & Bad. The Good: Simone & Luka searching for the answer to that guys pain. Masuka advocating for the under insured patient. Masuka chatting with Helms at the bar. Jo & Linc's day off together The Bad: Winston & Maggie fighting. Levi mooning over what he knew was going to be a short term romance. I feels like the nurse fling was just to show us that Levi has truly moved on from Nico this time. If that was the case, I wish they had brought back the hot research guy who flirted with him when he was doing the vaccine trials. When Maggie first came to the show I liked her. I really liked her and Winston together. I really dislike how the writers decided the only way to break up characters is to make one immensely dislikable. What really annoys me is how the writers have taken all the B plots of the Covid Meredith is on the beach season and completely destroyed them. Maggie & Winston, Linc & Amelia, Levi & Nico all seem to align and come together. Even accepting that the writers find more reward in tearing couples' apart, I still wish they would give the new interns something more to do. This week was a little bit of an improvement, but could have been better. I guess we're now in the part of the season where they're just setting things up for the finale.
  11. I keep praying that they just wanted to make it to season 20 and then call it a wrap.
  12. They got back together. I can't even recall the discussion or how they decided to carryon the relationship knowing that Amelia has a child. The good part is the character is rarely seen so it's just mildly annoying.
  13. I'd rather see Maggie & Winston in therapy rather than her couch surfing at Amelia's. PLEASE let this be the end of the bickerson storyline! I'm gonna be a mess. Losing Adele was bad enough, watching Catherine go is gonna be hard. Not a bad episode. I'm hoping they continue to develop the interns as people. Still waiting for them to bring Helms back.
  14. Especially after they broke Amelia & Linc up for no good reason. Kai make zero sense for Amelia.
  15. OMG! YES, That's what makes it so annoying. It's as if the writers couldn't figure out what else to do with Maggie & Winston and decided to make her Ellis 2.0 instead
  16. NONE of the Minnesosta doctors made for interesting storylines. Poor Scott Speedman is completely wasted as Meredith's supposed love interest, that she dumped last week. I love the idea of a non binary character, especially one played by an actual non binary actor, but Kai & Amelia have zero chemistry. Kai is kinda bland as an actor. All I can think is they broke up Amelia & Linc for this bunch of nothing. YES, the beer should have had those swing top beer bottle closures. FYI - If you haven't seen it. Jake Borielli and Niko Terho played love interest in a really cute movie on Freeform called The Thing About Harryso it's almost a little weird to see them together on Grey's.
  17. I can get behind ANYTHING that gives Helms and actual storyline outside of being Levi's bestie and mooning over Meredith. I'm from Philly, out sportsfans are passionate. I can definitely seeing it happening. Overall a decent episode. I'm not even mad at the Simone love triangle in the making. The only downside is the Teddy/Owen bickerfest. PLEASE writers, we don't find it funny or amusing. Let it die. I'm also tentatively interested in Levi's new love interest.
  18. Greys has built my BS tolerance up. I figured there was at least a one month time jump from the fire. Meredith mentioned living in a hotel for a while and Maggie said she and Winston hadn't spoken for weeks. The house didn't look bad when they showed the interior so I'm just gonna assume, Meredith had professional cleaners come give it a scrub down.
  19. it's free rent. I'm sure they were happy for it. Especially Yasuda who was living in her van that got towed away. I think it was a visiting doctor who created it but Maggie and especially Amelia used to calm down.
  20. I hope it helps. Otherwise end it a season 20. Eh' it was a boring episode. However I truly hope they find a way to move forward and focus on the new interns since they are clearly trying to reboot the show. I don't like Teddy and especially dislike Teddy/Owen, but if making her chef means we don't have to see them bickering, I'll take it. Speaking of bickering couples, I HATE what they are doing to Maggie/Winston. Why are the only options for female doctors on this show flighty or so dedicated they are selfish? HATED the attempt to revise Meredith's pickme speech. It's like in retrospect the writers realized how pathetic it was and wanted to change it. Meredith was the insecure person who would say that back then. We didn't need her to say she's not gonna beg a man now. To make matters worse, she was absolutely awful to Nick. It was just plain rude to not sit down and have a conversation with the man who moved to not only be with you, but help save your hospital. Pretending not to hear on the plane? Incredibly rude and immature. I may be in the minority, but I won't miss Meredith. It felt like Pompeo has been checked out since the Covid on the beach season. Let's move on. I really hope they give the new interns true story lines. Let's get Helm's back and *finally* give her a backstory. I think she and Schmitt will be attendings next year. Let's see them dating like fully functioning adults. If memory serves they are missing plastics, and peds attendings so hopefully there are interesting new hires on the horizon. If they can't turn the ship around, lets end the show at season 20.
  21. I still follow most of the cast on social media. I'm pleasantly surprised at how life changing this show was for Conrad Ricamora. Other than Viola he appears to be the actor most consistently working post the finale. He's pretty much doing it all; movies (Fire Island on Hulu), Animation ( Over the Moon on disney+), a recurring role on tv (Fox's The Resident) and theater ( H was doing The King & I season 1 of HTGAWM, He had a run Off Broadway in Little Shop of Horrors last year & will be heading in Here Lies Love, a production he was originally in 10 years ago.)
  22. Yes! Bring in fresh blood, because there is absolutely no one currently there that I would want as chief.
  23. Absolutely hate what they are doing to Maggie/Winston. I liked them as a couple. He seemed much better suited for her than Jackson was. Now suddenly this season they are the bickersons 2.0. We get enough of that from Teddy/Owen. I get that Derek was her one and only, but man the way she has treated Nick is awful. TBH - I'm ready for Pompeo to be gone. The storylines for her exit are clunky and boring. Hopefully her leaving will give other storylines room to breath. I agree, Richard is the logical choice unless they are bringing in someone new. None of the current doctors would make sense. I'm also glad the house burned down. I was worried that Maggie & Winston would end up moving into it. I kinda feel the opposite. I liked Maggie & Winston's love story. Time is hard to count in Grey's Land, but I think they date for few years. Although I think he packed up and moved after they had been dating a fairly short period of time. Regardless, I liked them as a couple and thought they were cute together, if not a little harmless. The show just seems to like breaking up couples when they can't think up interesting storylines for them. Overall this first half of the season was better than it's been in a long time, but you can still see the show is winding down. It feels they want to make it to season 20 before calling it a day and I'm okay with that. Amen to ALL of this. Also? I hate Amelia & Kai. They have zero chemistry together and every scene just feels try hard.
  24. IIRC Bailey was due to having to write around EP's real life pregnancy. No clue why they thought Ellis was necessary.
