“Archie Andrews, you are under arrest for the murder of Jughead Jones.” Archie: I hate to say it, I hope I don't sound ridiculous. I don’t know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street, I wouldn't know a thing. Sorry to this man.

I also didn’t like how Jug had the line “Poor Donna” and it was Betty who questioned her. The juxtaposition of that didn’t sit well with me, almost like even the writers knew it would make Jug look bad, so they gave the heavy to Betty.

I’m not even being facetious but are Jughead and Archie going to interact at some point before the former supposedly goes missing and/or dies? Does the show understand that for the audience to care we have to actually see these relationships? And what a shit time for these characters to go without scenes in a season where Archie is dealing with this significant loss, like why.

Riverdale is turning into one of those teen Netflix movies where there are five simultaneous storylines and none of the characters actually interact and/or know each other. I’m puzzled as to why TPTB believes this is a working formula. If you can’t think of any reasons why your main characters should be involved with each other outside of dating X person, I see that as a problem. I’m hoping this Jughead storyline is what’s able to connect to ...something...but it’s taking too long. We are nearly to the midseason finale, lol, and Jughead and Archie, for example, don’t even act like friends or interact enough for there to be some depth to Jug’s story.

This. And, this Barchie is nothing like the comics. Some people like the connection exclusively on Riverdale and what KJ/Lili bring to it. This should go unsaid, but we all like different things. Obviously some will hate and it some will love it. That’s the nature of entertainment. Can’t please everyone. 🤠

I have no preference what form it comes in - friends, romance, enemies, in Brett’s diary - someone write a damn scene for KJ Apa and Lili Reinhart. It shouldn’t be this hard.

From the previews, I see Riverdale is keeping Hart Denton employed bc they feel like it.

Or maybe it’s his or Jug’s fiction that bled into reality & the arrest was to make Brett believe he’s in the clear...

I’m just spitballing other possible ideas. All the flash forwards could be fake and it’s just Jughead reading back his book to his friends but eh... not convinced yet.

I haven’t let go of Jughead having a doppelgänger. 🧐 And what happened to Fred’s construction company? They could have had Archie take over that possibly. Or maybe try to but then realize Fred would have wanted him to pursue his own happiness. And that Veronica is OK with Archie doing this superhero schtick is laughable.

I love the idea that he wants to make his dad proud, but I wish they went about it in a different way. Fred would never approve of this vigilante shit. Archie’s dream was music and Fred came around to that and supported it. Why was this forgotten? This is possible, but then I’m also thinking it may be too obvious after the episode. Is it a red herring?

Word. Hopefully we can get more scenes with characters who rarely interact in the future. It would help this show not seem so been there, done that. Come through, Jughead’s fanfic! 💅🏼

Can’t wait. I don’t care at all who is endgame. I want drama, I want fun, I want unexpected, I want these actors to show their range and have the ability to work with other people for a change.

Especially if your mom was Carly and you had access to Google.

Sometimes I truthfully don’t know what show some of these fans are watching, lol. Especially those who believe Riverdale is going to end in some happily ever after for all these couples, as if there will be some group wedding where everyone will hold hands and exchange their hopes and dreams for the future while it rains puppies.
