Peggy & Dick were always my favorite pairing. Tracy Wilson always did a good job, too. Sandra is quite lovely on her appearances on The Skating Lesson but horrid when paired with Scott on NBC.

Just feels like they are going out of their way to make Mia unlikeable. One of the beautiful things in the book was the relationship Mia had with Pauline & Mal, cutting out Mal and making Mia sleep with her mentor/teacher really cheapens their relationship. I also prefer the print in the book of Mia holding Pearl as opposed to Mia being pregnant. I guess they feel like they didn’t have enough time in a episode split with Elena’s (incorrect) backstory to develop the story better.

I don’t think the FBI has anything to do with Asher’s murder, this is totally the agent working for the Castillos. Who knows if she worked for the Castillo family before or after she started working for the FBI. I’m hoping this revelation brings the whole gang back together.

Even bough Evgeny is evil, I kind of like him. Carrie is Carrie, love her or hate her, she gets shit done. All that I need to end this season is spineless prez getting his ass handed to him. And please let Jalal get exposed as a fraud.

Celeste Ng says she wanted Mia to be African American but didn’t feel like as an Asian American that she was qualified to bring the African American female perspective to the book and do it justice, so she left it ambiguous.

Months of waiting for this crap. Teegan is really the only redeeming character left. I’m so ready for this train wreck to be over, I don’t care about any of these characters either. Asher was my favorite and he’s dead. And also a murderer, too.

Not in the book in the flesh. They reference him as a guy she dated in high school that dropped out and was later drafted. He excited her more than Billy but she considered that to be a bad thing.

Sad they killed Max but not surprised. The question now is will Carrie survive? I’m still not sure why Evgeny is helping her so much, doesn’t he have better things to do? I hate new-POTUS and his advisor. I’m hoping for a hard fall. Also sad for Haqqani, don’t know what to think of Jalal, is it too much to hope for Tasneem to save the day? I already know...yes.

I read the book this week and really enjoyed. I enjoyed the first three episodes and didn’t mind the minor deviations but episode 4 started to go off rails for me. Why have Mia quit so early in the season? I get that having BeBe call and leave a message isn’t great for tv so they had her crash the shower but using Mia’s car and the whole bumper sticker was really unnecessary. I also wished they would’ve included how long Linda knew she was the mother from the note left in the box. I also didn’t really care for Mia selling a print to pay for Bebe’s legal fees. What was wrong with the guy taking her case pro bono like he did in the book? I agree it was unnecessary to have Izzy be gay, it just screams of we wanted a LGBT character and we couldn’t have it be anyone else. What exactly was the point of the Halloween party? I though the dance took its place last episode; It served no purpose except for Moody to give Pearl the journal. I’m almost not really sure what they are planning to do with Trip/Pearl after this episode, either. They kind of hinted at a Mr. Richardson/Mia affair a couple of times in the first batch of episodes and I hope they don’t go there. It was pretty obvious in the book Mia wasn’t into anyone ever. I am interested in seeing how they do with Mia’s backstory once they get to it.

So much for Nick, Michele, and Yul having a pregame alliance.

I wasn’t going to be happy either way. My old school peeps are all gone!

Sandra did that to herself, she got too cute. Denise was savage and I loved it. The editors aren’t being kind to Wendell but I still like him, Michele’s whining is annoying as hell. We need 90 minutes.

They’ve cancelled Worlds. It’s not surprising but still sucks. I feel bad for Chock/Bates who had a lot of momentum and a great chance to medal and the US ladies who had a chance to get three spots next year.

Great tense episode, definitely vintage Homeland. I think my heart stopped when they showed the taliban going after the helicopter. How on earth does the other chopper not see what happened? Do they still have that rule that you can’t kill a president on TV? I remember that being an issue on Season 4 of 24. The VP staying in the oval definitely stood out. He clearly has his own agenda but I’m thinking he’s a smokescreen and not actually involved. I agree Tasneem looking that salty was very unrealistic. If they are involved, they certainly didn’t give it away this episode. Very excited about this season so far.

That was really offputting. Please never do that again. I’m pretty sure they’ve been doing it all season. I kind of like it especially since we are never getting opening credit again.
