  1. Armando Montelongo, CEO of Armando Montelongo Companies, works undercover at his real estate company that specializes in educational seminars that teach wealth creation and financial independence.
  2. Will be interesting to see if Brian Williams gets the Dan Rather treatment. I've always liked Brian but this has made me see him a lot differently.
  3. Whoopi seems to always take up for men and then she questions women's actions to the nth degree.
  4. I'm sure plenty have tried.
  5. Sean Hayes had a few sucky parts but I liked that he didn't make the whole show about himself and he did the interviews pretty well for never having had hosted a late night show before. I was pleasantly surprised with his first night. I'll admit I was somewhat hesitant to watch after his disastrous turn on The Millers where his character was even more obnoxious than Margo Martindale's was.
  6. I haven't watched in quite awhile. It gets tiring watching episodes like the one you described where he lets both sides blather on and doesn't do much if anything at the end. The past few years have really highlighted how sloppy they are when putting shows together and that they seem to apply the same formula to just about every episode. Phub pretty much just goes through the motions now spouting the same lines to different faces.
  7. Another week of new shows... February 2 - February 6, 2015 Monday A Family Divided over an Unsolved Murder In August 2009, Penny’s 40-year-old sister, Shannon, a successful businesswoman, was found dead in her car, at the bottom of a cliff, in what authorities initially believed was a tragic accident but later ruled a homicide -- a case that remains unsolved. Emotions run high when Penny faces her father, Ted, for the first time in two years and drops a bombshell: She believes he hired a hitman to kill Shannon. Ted admits his relationship with Shannon was strained at the time, but he vehemently denies he had anything to do with her death. How will Ted react to Penny’s accusation? Tune in to watch the drama unfold as this father and daughter angrily level charges against each other -- can Penny and Ted find a way to repair their relationship, or have the accusations gone too far? Tuesday "Is My Wife Real or a Nigerian Love Scam?" Steve, 53, says in the past 29 months, he has sent more than $100,000 to “Kelly,” his overseas “wife” whom he met on a dating website in 2012. Steve says “Kelly” is an American woman stuck in Nigeria trying to secure a $25 million fortune left to her by her parents. He admits she is also one of several clients who say they have large inheritances pending that he is trying to help -- deals Steve believes will make him millions. Despite never meeting “Kelly” in person and only talking to her on the phone a few times, Steve insists they are a “match made in heaven” -- which is why he sent her money for a marriage certificate. But Steve’s sister, Tammy, and niece, Kidist, say they believe he is being scammed, and they want him to cut ties with “Kelly” -- and his other so-called clients. Dr. Phil digs deep in search of answers. Is “Kelly” really the woman of Steve’s dreams, or is he being conned by a catfish? And, Steve has spent more than $135,000 so far on all of his clients -- is he ready to call it quits? Wednesday "Don’t Give My Daughter Money: She is Lying about Dying from Cancer" Mary’s 30-year-old daughter, Lynn, claims to be suffering from numerous medical conditions, including stomach cancer, heart disease, uterine cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and other ailments -- but Mary believes it’s all lies, concocted to gain money and attention. Mary says she has found no evidence of her daughter’s health conditions and was horrified to learn that Lynn had created a crowdfunding website, asking for donations for medical expenses. Lynn insists she’s gravely ill and says it sickens her even more that her mother doesn’t believe her. The mother and daughter face each other for the first time in a year on Dr. Phil’s stage. Dr. Phil reviews Lynn’s medical records -- how does she explain the inconsistencies? And, how can Lynn find a return to health and start living again? Thursday "My 21-Year-Old Daughter is Obsessed with Her Controlling, Jealous, Heroin-Addicted Boyfriend" Alyssa and Steve say their daughter, Paige, had a promising future until she turned 18 and met Brandon, who they believe taught her how to shoot black tar heroin and led her down a dark and dangerous path. The parents say Paige, 21, is now a full-fledged addict, living with Brandon, 27, in a motel, working as a “sugar baby” to get money for drugs and shooting up several times a day. They say she has failed nine attempts at rehab and sobriety and has overdosed 16 times -- and they fear they could lose her forever. Alyssa and Steve say they’ve tried to get Paige away from her controlling “loser” boyfriend, but she always runs back to him and starts using again. Are Alyssa and Steve enabling their daughter’s dangerous lifestyle? And, will Paige and Brandon accept Dr. Phil’s help -- and his one big condition? Friday "Our Son Was Making Millions but is Now Living in Our Garage with His Girlfriend" Mike and Vicki say their 37-year-old son, Ryan, was once making millions running a successful real estate company, but for the past three months, he has been living in their garage, on their dime, along with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Rachel. The parents claim Ryan is a “freeloader” who sleeps all day, acts entitled, picks fights and even leaves them to care for his 5-year-old son. Ryan admits things are chaotic in his life but insists it’s not all his fault. Why does he say his parents are partly to blame for his business failing? Dr. Phil has some tough questions for Ryan about his behavior -- does he take any accountability? And, hear from Rachel -- is she happy with their living situation? Plus, Ryan isn’t the only one staying with mom and dad -- you won’t believe how many mouths Mike and Vicki say they are feeding! How can the parents stop the bleeding and take back control of their lives? And, is Ryan ready to step up to the plate and work toward living on his own?
  8. I learned some things from that segment I hadn't known before which was they remove part of the stomach during the surgery and what they leave is why it's called a gastric sleeve. I thought it was something similar to the lap band for some reason. Maybe it was taped like that because they had a Dr there explaining the surgery and they didn't want to come across like Dr. Oz (Thanks Oprah...Not!) who gives different advice at different times depending on who's on which makes him come across like a full of it snake oil like salesman kind of guy. The questions may have been prescreened so they wouldn't get surprised with something they couldn't answer maybe? Rosie kept repeating that people needed to make their own choices about what type of surgery and etc. so it came across to me like they were trying to be careful more so then any type of infomercial. They had this Dr. on because he was Rosie's Dr and she was thankful to him. It reminded me of when David Letterman brought the Dr's, Nurses and etc. on that treated him at the hospital when he was there for his bypass surgery years ago. I know I probably sound like I'm making excuses since I'm a Rosie fan. Honestly though these are things that crossed my mind in response to some of the posts about the segment previously.
  9. I thought the gastric sleeve segment went on to long. It could have been shorter since they repeated the same information more than once. I think Joy was carrying on so much about wishing Nicole was there because she knew that pretaped interview with Antonio which Nicole was included in was going to be shown after the Hot Topics segment.
  10. I'd rather have Joy on Fridays then Babs.
  11. Joy is really there!
  12. That co-host was just awful and completely not needed at all. I didn't mind Whitney's actual interviews that much.
  13. Regis was hosting from the "CBS This Morning" studio.
  14. Another week of new shows... January 26 - January 30, 2015 Monday Parental Alienation or Runaway Sisters: "Help Me Find My Daughters" Brian says he has been living a parent’s worst nightmare since last July, when his teenage daughters, Sydney, 15, and Danielle, 14, vanished while visiting their mother, Michelle, for the summer. Two weeks later, Michelle also disappeared, and Brian, who has full legal custody of the girls, says he believes his ex-wife is hiding them. But Brian’s oldest daughter, Brittany, 19, says she believes the girls ran away so they wouldn’t have to live with Brian, who she claims is overbearing, controlling and abusive -- accusations Brian firmly denies. Dr. Phil brings this father and daughter together for the first time in almost a year in search of answers. Plus, hear from Michelle’s brother, Troy, who says he has twice received videos of Sydney and Danielle. Does he have any idea where they -- or Michelle -- might be? And, see a brand-new video of the girls specifically addressing Dr. Phil. What do they say about the situation? Can Dr. Phil help get to the bottom of this mystery? Tuesday "I'm Scared of My Sister’s Boyfriend": Is He a Danger to Her Children? Tracy says she is desperate for her sister, Shelly, to dump her boyfriend, Jason, who Tracy believes may have sexually abused Shelly’s two granddaughters -- an accusation Jason and Shelly vehemently deny. Shelly adopted the girls, ages 7 and 9, and is raising them as her own, because she says her daughter, Roxy, was an unfit mother. Both Shelly and Jason claim Roxy has coached and bribed the girls to lie about being abused in hopes of regaining custody. Dr. Phil brings all the players in this family drama together in search of answers. Was there actually abuse, or just twisted lies? Roxy is adamant that she did not fabricate the accusations against Jason and says she can’t believe her mother is defending him. Do journal entries from Roxy’s 7-year-old daughter reveal anything? Plus, hear from Shelly’s 16-year-old son -- what does he say the girls told him? And, where can this family go from here? Dr. Phil weighs in -- who does he think should have custody? Wednesday Shocking Viral Video: Teen Says, "If Your Boyfriend Hits You, It's a Sign of Love" Eighteen-year-old video blogger Romina sparked outrage after she made a video telling her many social media followers that if their boyfriend hits them, it’s a "sign of love." Romina says she’s a role model to her 153,000 fans -- but does she realize the danger of the message she’s sending? And, after hearing a domestic violence survivor’s harrowing story, will she change her mind? Plus, Jessica, 26, made headlines in 2011 when she accused an ex-boyfriend of abusing her, stalking her and even setting fire to her mother’s house. But then, Jessica admitted she fabricated evidence, including letters and phone calls, and even confessed to starting the fire -- though she now claims her confession was coerced. After spending a year behind bars for public mischief and criminal harassment, Jessica is speaking out. Did she set her house on fire? And, why would she lie to police? Plus, while in prison, Jessica says she fell in love with a convicted torturer, who is currently serving an indefinite sentence. How does she say her mother, Barb, facilitated the romance -- and why? And, can Jessica learn to make better choices in men? Thursday From Top TV Newscaster to Drunken Mom Christi says she was once a three-time Emmy-winning TV news reporter at the top of her career, but her struggle with alcohol addiction has now left her jobless, sleeping in bushes and estranged from her two adult daughters, Heather and Haleigh. Christi says her downward spiral began in 2010, when she became addicted to Oxycodone after a car accident. She says she hasn’t touched pills in years but admits she now drinks three or four nights a week, sometimes calling her daughters and leaving nasty voicemails. Christi says she knows she has a problem and is desperate to get her life back on track. But is she really ready to be totally honest? Emotions run high when Christi and her daughters are reunited for the first time in more than two years on Dr. Phil’s stage. Heather says her mother is a “con artist” who has struggled with drinking and drugs since Heather was a teen, and she wrote her off a long time ago. Will she be open to giving Christi another chance? And, where does Haleigh stand? Plus, when offered a chance to get sober, will Christi accept? Friday Gorgeous, Violent, Raging and a Very Unsweet 16 Tom is the chief of police in his small town and says his 16-year-old niece, Kristi, is the cause of as many as four 911 calls every week. Her family says she is angry and violent, refuses to go to school, smokes marijuana and has no respect for authority. Kristi’s parents, Ann and Mike, admit they’ve lost control of their daughter and say her rages are so frightening, they lock their bedroom door at night and sleep with a baseball bat nearby for protection. Ann says she feels like a hostage in her own house and has even offered her daughter $100 a month to move out. What’s behind the teen’s outrageous behavior? And, will this family have the courage to accept Dr. Phil’s offer of help?
  15. I keep watching and for the most part because these episodes have been like a wreck that's hard to look away from even though you want to. There were things about all of them that annoyed me the most being Jim Gaffigan and his kids being on so many times throughout each episode. I really hope they were having fun. It's one thing for guests to be on to promote upcoming projects but when it's a continuous line of guests, the host and the hosts family promoting the same thing nightly it gets old fast. The other person who really annoyed me was Lena Dunham. Would it kill her to wear something with sleeves? She skeeves me out so much even if she does say things I agree with on the rare occasion more times then not she usually follows up with something that makes me want to smack her upside her head. I liked Drew the most so far honestly and it wasn't weird for me seeing him at that time of night since I'm not a regular viewer of TPIR. He was awkward at times but in a cute way. I wish he could have hosted longer even though I know he'll be the last guest host before James starts.
  16. Oh she's on Celebrity Big Brother right now in the UK. That's how I was first exposed to her now I seem to be seeing her mentioned in quite a few places I wouldn't expect. Didn't know she did that show on TLC. She was flapping her gums about overweight people in her intro video for the show. She seems to be quite narrow minded when it comes some things in life.
  17. I enjoyed Drew Carey and the ladies of The Talk for the most part. I got tired of hearing "Award winning singer songwriter Linda Perry..." just about every time they mentioned Sara's wife who was there with her band as the "house band" for that week though. Tonight Jim Gaffigan and his wife were awkwardly co-hosting and he involved his kids in the opening bits and at the end. I've always been indifferent to him as a comedian and he seems nice enough. It didn't take long to learn why he's hosting for 2 nights with the mention of a new show he has coming which will be on TV Land. Tonight's guests Ashley Williams and Michael Ian Black are also going to be in Jim's show too.

  19. Another All New Week of Shows with Jerry Springer titles. January 19th - 23rd Monday 15 and a Teenage Terror Vicki says she is desperate for help for her out-of-control 15-year-old daughter, Josie. She says her daughter has been kicked out of school, steals, drinks, uses drugs, has been caught sneaking boys into her bedroom and is facing battery and runaway charges. Josie admits she doesn’t like being told no but says, “Every teenager makes mistakes.” Dr. Phil has some tough questions for Vicki. Is this a case of a bad teen, bad parenting or something else? And, Dr. Phil talks to Josie about how her choices now could affect her future. Will she be inspired to make some positive changes? Tuesday "My Parents Won’t Accept My Controlling Pastor Husband" It has been more than eight years since Sarah married her pastor husband, Jason, but she says her parents, Bill and Laura, won’t accept him and won’t stop meddling in her marriage -- and she’s tired of being caught in the middle. Bill and Laura say they have good reason to interfere -- they claim Jason is controlling, verbally abusive and is just using Sarah to keep up his image in the church community. Jason admits he can be overbearing and "a jerk" at times, but he insists he loves his wife and children and says Bill and Laura are the real problem. Emotions run high when these feuding in-laws face each other on Dr. Phil’s stage. Have Bill and Laura overstepped their bounds? Are they justified in their concerns? Can Dr. Phil ease the tension and help these families move forward? Then, newlyweds Bobby and Felicia say they are at their wits’ end living under the same roof as Felicia’s "meddling, drama queen" mother, Randee. Dr. Phil has important advice for these mothers and for all parents of teens on how they can stop the bullying and help their children move forward. Then, when a house rule gets broken, how will everyone respond? Plus, don’t miss Dr. Phil’s must-hear advice for dealing with “mean girls” -- and how victims of bullying can take back their power.
  20. If there's really that much of a difference in salaries that could be why there's such an increase when it comes to in show product placements this season.
  21. Rosie said Whoopi promised she'd be back next week. I felt kinda sad after she said it honestly.
  22. I had missed this seasons episodes after the premiere and was catching up when I got to this episode. I was thoroughly disgusted and am not sure I want to keep watching. The Hooters, Twin Peaks and Titled Kilt episodes didn't infuriate me the way this one did. Of course none of the bosses on those other episodes gave the employees they encountered boob jobs as a reward or got mad enough to fire anyone who said they didn't want to work at those restaurants forever. I hate that this scumbag got this much national attention and can only hope that more people were disgusted than intrigued with his "breastraunts".
  23. I missed Hot Topics today but as soon as I saw Dr. Oz I changed the channel. From reading the posts about today's show it doesn't seem like I missed much.
  24. I thought there were commercials for Thursday's show in November?
  25. Another All New Week of Shows January 12th - 15th Monday Wild Behavior Caught on Camera From "fist fights" gone viral to the so-called "fire challenge," Dr. Phil looks at the troubling trend of wild behaviors being videotaped and posted online for the world to see. First, hear from 27-year-old Catherine, who says she was attacked by a former co-worker while bystanders watched and recorded -- but did nothing to help. Then, Emily, 15, became an Internet sensation after she was recorded throwing a shovel at another girl, during a fight. Hear why she says all the attention has changed her life. And, meet the classmate who was behind the camera -- why didn’t he stop recording and step in? Then, Dr. Phil talks to a young man who lit himself on fire in hopes of gaining video views -- hear his strong warning for others. Plus, Lisa and Tom say their 15-year-old daughter, Katie, is a violent "mean girl," and they fear she’ll end up in a fight video -- or worse. What’s at the root of her behavior? Dr. Phil has a special challenge for Katie and six other teens who say they have experiences with bullying. Tune in to see this social experiment! Tuesday Pretty, Young and Violent In part one of a special two-part series, meet seven teenage girls who say they have either been victims of bullying or have been bullies themselves. The teens, who have never met, and their mothers head to The Dr. Phil House for a special retreat. But before the work can even begin, the drama kicks into high gear when a group activity goes awry! Wednesday Standing Up to Mean Girls Yesterday, seven teenage girls, each with a different story about bullying, were picked to spend three days together in The Dr. Phil House. Today, Dr. Phil continues his work as he sits down with the girls’ mothers -- how much do they really know about their daughters? One mom says she is spread too thin to keep up with her daughter’s social life -- is she hiding from the truth? Dr. Phil has important advice for these mothers and for all parents of teens on how they can stop the bullying and help their children move forward. Then, when a house rule gets broken, how will everyone respond? Plus, don’t miss Dr. Phil’s must-hear advice for dealing with "mean girls" -- and how victims of bullying can take back their power. Friday A Teen Admits to Killing His 11-Year-Old Brother: Who is Really to Blame? Their mother, Shawna, insists Juju’s death was an accident and vehemently denies her ex-husband, Terry Sr.’s, accusation that she helped cover up the crime. Dr. Phil brings the parents together in search of answers. What happened to Juju? And, why does Terry Sr. believe Shawna should be held liable?
