I decided to see what would happen if I went a week without watching The "New" View and thought this would be as good a week as any. I'm kind of bummed to say I haven't missed it at all and haven't even felt inclined to watch the episodes I've missed on ABC's website after they've been posted. I might binge watch this weekend if I have some extra time. I wanted to like this new panel so much more then I really do.

I heard it said a lot this past Summer when watching the British version of BIg Brother. The way it's said over there made me laugh also even though I felt bad for laughing at the same time. I was surprised at how liberally it's used in the UK too....

It wouldn't be so bad if the hosts did more to get informed on the Hot Topics they were going to talk about. Maybe they need to give the hosts notice the night before of what will be talked about the next morning unless it's breaking news and that would give them extra time to read up so they can be prepared. The Talk may not cover such serious topics most of the time but when they discuss things they don't always just give the point of view of a famous person or just how it would affect them. IMHO they covered the serious aspects of the Honey Boo Boo disaster a whole lot better then The View did. Sheryl who went through childhood abuse and usually lightens up conversations by joking about stuff at the tail end of each discussion got serious on more then one occasion when it came to the childhood sexual abuse aspect of the Honey Boo Boo stuff and it made me like her even more. I know the ladies on The Talk have been together longer but geeze even the women on the fluffiest panel discussion show out there The Real mesh better and have more views then this group on The View. I agree for the most part with whoever said previously about having so many well off celebrities on the panel seems to be adding to the issue of them not being able to see all sides to a story but at the same time as I mentioned before the ladies on The Talk still can see things from the regular person's point of view. They would never berate and lecture the people who contact them on social media about their show. They actually welcome opinions through those channels and even show a clip from a viewer just about each day concerning a particular subject. The people at The View need to quit worrying about changing the set every other week and get to worrying about changing the way they are running the show so they can make some changes for the better hopefully. I'm almost ready to give up on watching with the way things are going and Whoopi's lecture to the viewers almost made my decision for me.

Never mind. Wrong lady! I went by the name and thought it was Tracy Melchior. *Face Palms*

I think the lady Whoopi liked who was dressed as a Whoopie Coushion was also in the audience the day Rachael Ray taped her Halloween episode. A lady who played a game on RR's show that came on right after The View looked just like the lady I had just seen standing next to Whoopi at the of their show today.

It just worked for me but I had to turn my adblocker off to get it to submit. Hopefully if they get enough complaints we'll hear about it.

Here's a way to give programming feedback to ABC through their site. Maybe if enough of us fill the form out it may get back to the people in charge at The View which I'm trying hard not to call The Spew right now. http://abc.go.com/feedback

Today's show really peeved me off and soured my mood after Hot Topics was over so much so that I didn't really pay attention to the rest of it. Maybe they should take things like the cat calling video more seriously if they don't want to get called out on it. In the time it took for them to whine, complain and "shake off" the reactions from viewers who weren't happy, they could have followed up with a more serious discussion of it all. Instead we got a lecture about how the people who took the time to share their views about it all overreacted. Edited to Add: I'm basically saying what backformore said at the end of their post. I took to long to finish mine.

They just tried to excuse the way they handled the cat calling video yesterday due to all the feedback they received from viewers and it was pitiful. Whoopi especially attempted to make it sound like they were the victims because they all got called out for downplaying what went on in that video. It made me wonder if ANY of them watched the whole thing or just that tiny clip.

With Weight Watchers you eat real food and don't have to buy special food from them like Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig.

I've never really been a fan of Taylor or her music for the most part. I will say that the Shake It Off song is catchy and I appreciate the message behind it. I don't think she's slow per say but I do think that she thinks too much about what she wants to say from what I've seen when she's done interviews like this. Even though she's done plenty of them before it's like she's always nervous so maybe if she's not singing on the stage there's a bit of anxiety going on.

Considering it's Dr. Phub they probably cleaned him up if he needed it before the show.

Today Barry reminded me of Rob Lowe's character from Behind the Candelabra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj9ygLF77kA

I looked up the Bluetooth speaker that was promoted in the flash sale yesterday on Amazon because I was somewhat interested. The price on Amazon is $99 but the rnegative reviews are enough to make me stay away. I always wonder if things included in "sales" like these are ways to get rid of stuff with the occasional item or two thrown in to get a brand name out there. Whoopi is driving me crazy too as is the communication problems the control room seems to keep having with some of the hosts.

It was her day to shill all her stuff at the end of the show today. I hate it when people like Mrs. Phub have had as much plastic surgery as she has go on to sell skincare without admitting to anything. They want to dupe people into believing their skin will look the same if they use the products from the line that's being sold.

I haven't tried to watch MV's show after the premiere as much as I like her personally. It seemed like a Ellen ripoff and I can only watch so many celebrity interview shows even though I've read she has other segments on there too. The set kinda felt claustrophobic too. I miss the talk shows like Donahue, Geraldo (before he went completely nuts), Oprah (the early years), Sally Jessy and etc. that had real people on them. Not the crazy ones like Jerry Springer or Jenny Jones.

For every bottle sold Mrs. Phub and HSN Cares will donate $1 yes 1 whole dollar to her "Revelation"Foundation. I've yet to watch any of her appearances on HSN due to not having anti-nausea meds strong enough. If anyone else wants to attempt to watch her on there to snark as it says on the banner she's booked for the 28th.

That's not to say that all people who have a MI think that way and there are plenty of people who don't have an MI who think that way also.

I'm guessing today's show may have been taped Wednesday.

A Whoopi free day so soon!

I was watching from 10am cst to 11am cst and ABC cut in right before Fred and Danica from The Wonder Years started their interview. When they came back it was at the very end of the show and all I saw was the group hug with some guy sitting at a piano behind them.

The Talk does the same thing as in booking guests from shows that are on CBS. I sometimes have to double check to see if I'm watching a rerun because there are a few of them that they have on quite frequently.

The increased amount of schilling this season is driving me up one wall and down another. Rosie O won't be happy tomorrow seeing as news of The Bridge's cancellation has come out. I know both Monica and Bill both participated in what went on, it's always frustrated me that Clinton has gone on to still be well regarded for the most part even though he had a history before Monica came along. While Monica got pegged as the intern who chased after the President and still to this day people make the same jokes they always have about her. She's a good public speaker so I won't knock her too hard if she finds a career in making speeches about online bullying and etc. since they get attention to the subject.

Me too. I cringed a bit when I first saw all the changes today. The chairs paired with the table look awkward to me even though I'd kinda like them by themselves. They should have tried to find chairs to match the turquoise color of the logo that's on the front of the table. Honestly both the table and chairs look cheap compared to ones the show has had in the past. If I'm nitpicking so be it but I notice stuff like that because it bugs me.

Apparently that flash sale shit is coming back too. Whoopi made the announcement while Rosie O acted really surprised, said she had no idea that the flash sale items were making a return and that she wasn't really a fan of it before. It seems like she really is being shut out BTS goings on if this is any indication. Whoopi's response to Rosie O's displeasure was to basically say that things like the flash sale stuff allows them to make changes like they have to their set.
