S10.E07: Bowling In Heels
yourmomiseasy replied to zoeysmom's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I wasn't paying enough attention so I can't say for sure which highway they were on. I know it was seventy-something, but I'm not sure if it was 73 or 74. 73 is the toll road and is nice and well lit and modern with wide lanes, shoulders, and call boxes, etc. 74 would be scary as shit to be stuck on at night. It is dark and winds through trees and up and down a mountain and has little or no shoulder in most parts and people haul ass on it. There have been a ton of fatal accidents on it and it is one of the most dangerous highways in the state. -
Johnny's girlfriend Lucia is being held captive by her brother in Mexico. The girl that Paul crashed into and robbed was the Armenian mob guy's girlfriend, this probably took place in Glendale.
-
I'm pretty sure that rather than opening a new club, he just took his old club back by beating the shit out of that guy last week and yanking out his grillz. I also think that it is the same club that Paul was talking to hookers at as I think both were referred to as "Lux." I think it is implied that Paul and the friend had a brief fling over 3 days, probably while separated from their unit. I'm pretty sure I've seen that happen on TV before and why should any part of his story be original. My assumption from the context of the discussion was that the operation was an abortion. Usually on TV you are punished for having one by becoming unable to conceive.

Sembene's claim to the title of smartest and most badass on this show is only rivaled by Vanessa. Too bad he was too busy tucking Victor in to keep Sir Malcolm from going off to face the witches like an idiot.
-
According to Lyle's translation, Lucifer's brother that was cast to Earth feeds on the blood of the living by night. I think that Victor and Sir Malcolm were likely correct when they guessed that the Vampire master that took Mina to get to Vanessa is the other brother. Which ever brother gets the Mother of Evil (apparently Vanessa) will be freed from their hell, which is why they are both after her.
-
I don't think they were married. I think she was just screwing him until he did what she wanted. She probably enchanted him in some way like she did Sir Malcolm.
-
Vanessa's no slouch in the packing for the Moors department either. Right now his sweater is my favorite, it just had great texture and looked like it was made from yummy yarn, but she had some great sweaters and scarves too, so I might switch favorites upon rewatches.
-
I think we saw Ms. Poole talking to Mr. Lyle about how she had enchanted Sir Malcolm last episode, I remember her talking about a love struck fool. It was when they were talking about if she should go to the ball and the fly eating the spider and how eternal youth costs everything.
-
I think I'm saving this episode to my Tivo and hoping it never crashes. There were so many great things, but the knitwear porn! OMG. I process and dye my own wool, spin yarn, and knit. I wanted to stay up all night recreating the sweaters. I just found everything about this episode stunning and I think the knitwear went a long way towards that.

S03.E14: Dead Or Alive / S03.E15: The Reckoning

I could actually get behind a season of Ryan and Ghost Joe as off-the-grid vigilantes hunting down and ruthlessly killing the members of some shadowy cabal. Or maybe it could be a special movie event. That could possibly be the best road trip buddy movie ever made. -
I think when they introduced Shervin they said he was MJ's friend that worked in tech up in the Bay Area that was looking for a place in LA.

Every once in a while a man likes to treat his babymama right :)
-
As someone trying to decide between pickles, eating jelly straight from the jar, a can of soup that expired in 2011, or the mysteries from the bottom of my freezer, I can tell you that this is not always the case. I would imagine they are pretty busy with the political campaign and new baby and might not always feel like making every meal at home.

Oh, my snapping wouldn't be getting it all out there, I'd be lunging for her throat like Lisa Rinna trying to strangle Kim Richards over a dinner table. I had the same problem as you in Amsterdam. I got lost on foot a lot. At one point I wandered around for over an hour like a block from my hotel unable to find it, but to be fair I had been drunk all the other times I'd seen the hotel so my sobriety could have been causing the confusion. When I finally gave up and got a cab the driver laughed at me because I was so close. I think it might be a common thing though because I was lost on foot in a group and right as we were going to give up one of the guys exclaims "Oh! I didn't even realize it. This is my apartment." So we were on his street and he didn't know it (I think it was a short term vacation rental). I was there for a conference at the RAI and after the conference I changed hotels to one more in the Centrum and it was much easier to find my away around.

I love how you can kind of see Blair winking at the camera during some of the things he says. Maybe since he's finding the funny in Haley he's able to make the best of it. I still wouldn't be surprised if he eventually snaps. I would. She gets on my last nerve and I only have to see her for an hour a week. I can't imagine being with her 24/7 for any period of time. I guess the fact that it was a NEL is why they didn't keep the suspense up with the hairdressers finishing last. I wonder if they'll be able to fight back from last next week.

S05.E22: Reunion Part 3

I would assume that if Kim ever says she needs money for the kids, she's lying. Don't those kids all have loaded dads? I'm sure they all already have trust funds. -
S05.E22: Reunion Part 3

Goldens are one of the top biters in the US. Part of that is probably because they are also one of the top breeds in popularity so there's more of them to bite, so a smaller percentage need to in order to make the list. Also since they are so popular, there have been bad breeding practices, leading to temperament issues. I think people are also more likely to just let their kids hang all over goldens unsupervised since the breed has a reputation for being a sweet and tolerant family dog (i.e. the owners are the problem). So I agree, Kim couldn't handle one. She'd once again be a shitty owner adding to a bad reputation for a breed. I have a dog with fear aggression issues. We've been working since she was a puppy to overcome them. When she was too young to attend group lessons I had a trainer coming to our house for privates. She's been to group lessons once old enough. She's even been sent away to boot camp. Left to her own devices she may have ended up biting someone, but so far she hasn't. It has been a lot of hard work and will continue to be for the rest of her life. She's a lot better now, but that doesn't mean I can become complacent and let her regress. -
S05.E22: Reunion Part 3

I loved Rinna saying Eileen has more class than her. I totally needed to hear about Rinna's pubes, thanks Nancy from Tacoma! Watching Brandi try to emote hurts my head. Her face is so fucked up. Brandi using Andy as some kind of standard to judge by when considering dating 20 year olds... I have no words. I totally ask myself "What would Andy do?" whenever facing tough moral dilemmas. Kim is really just a nasty piece of work. So much has already been pointed out. Brandi and Kim being afraid of Rinna is ridiculous. And Kim insinuating that Rinna has some kind of battery charges in her past? You think Brandi wouldn't have already found out about that via $9.95 background check and brought it up if it was true? Kim was downright gleeful over Rinna's tears and I'm glad Andy tried to point out how wrong she was, too bad it fell on deaf ears. So it's okay for Brandi to not want to eat space cake on TV due to parenting reasons, but not okay for Kyle to do the same exact thing? Who's the hypocrite? Of course Kyle has a drug problem **rolls eyes**. And as has been said by numerous people, numerous times, Brandi just really does not understand context at all. I feel like once you hit maybe kindergarten you start understanding that actions and words have different meanings in different contexts. I'm sick of Kim's sobriety or lack thereof. She admits to being high, but also claims 100% sobriety with no relapses. Whatever. Over it. She's a lying liar that lies and is never going to tell the truth about this. It also annoys me that she keeps saying her 100% pain was chronic pain. It was acute pain. Not that it matters, but it bugs me. Maybe because I've dealt with chronic pain for years and although I am pretty much better now, anytime I have any agitation in that area of my body I'm scared as shit it's the pain coming back to stay. Also, I'm not an addict, but still I tried a lot of different methods for dealing with my pain that weren't pills just because I couldn't be stoned all the time, I needed to function and live a life. There are things that can be done that aren't stealing cancer pills. You also just kind of get used to chronic pain and don't realize how bad it is until the pain is gone. You build up a tolerance, something Kim probably knows a lot about. Of course Kingsley attacking Alexia is the worst thing that's ever happened to Kim and it is 100% about Kim -- Alexia who? We're supposed to forgive Kim's pill popping because she spent an unspecified number of days in the hospital, but Kim's young niece having to spend 5 days in the hospital and have multiple surgeries is no big deal and just blowing things out of proportion and a gross smear job against Kim. Also, it has been very painful for Kim's children, and I guess that is Alexia's fault for getting bitten, not Kim's fault for being a shitty person and an even worse pet owner. I'm sure their sister getting maimed has been very painful for Kyle's children (and of course the actual maiming was probably painful too), but who cares. Okay, Kim. This whole argument segment is disgusting on so many levels on Kim's part, she's really showing her ass here. Kyle should be used to Kim not taking responsibility for anything ever and should just give up. Brandi laughing might be the scariest thing I have ever seen in my life. Her bloated face pulled tight while laughing and calling Rina crazy, yet again, is the thing nightmares are made of. Scarier than a close up of Kim's skin. Loved Andy calling Kim out for just implying shit on camera and saying she won't go there because she's just making it up. Too bad Brandi wasn't included. Overall, Andy is a shitty moderator though, so this isn't praise for a job well done. Tired of hearing about "intervening" on Kim. Don't care. It isn't like the crazies are going to magically start recognizing reality and change their tune, even when confronted with tape. How magnanimous of Brandi to bow out of the sister drama after all the instigation she's done. She's not the cause, but she sure as hell didn't help. Brandi and Kim need to die a fiery death and get off my TV. Everyone else handled themselves pretty well, made good points, and generally held it together. Poor Eileen being stuck on the crazy couch. -

And whose fault would that legal trouble be? Surely not the asshole that has turned that dog into a dangerous weapon via being an irresponsible and shitty pet owner and has tried to sweep multiple bites under the rug. Kingsley is a mauling waiting to happen and it is 100% Kim's god damn fault. The more times a dog bites (on purpose) the more likely it is to bite again. I think that unfortunately for Kingsley, Kim has ruined his life. But of course why would she be expected to start taking responsibility for her shit at this stage in the game. That would imply Kim endeavored to train him at all. -
S26.E06: Smells Like A Million Bucks

Monaco is seriously the worst to drive in. There are tunnels inside of tunnels with roundabouts in them. When I stayed there I'd just drive around lost in the tunnels going around the various roundabouts until I found the spot with a nested tunnel and then that would get me near the back of our hotel. Once I was there I'd drive around trying to find the front without ending up back in the tunnels or going down a pedestrian only area. And there's so much honking and people don't really follow the rules, which makes driving all the more stressful. When I go to the Cote d'Azur again, I definitely will not drive in Monaco. You don't even have to be allergic. I did the touristy perfume school thing, but at Galimard in Grasse. I think that although I like a few of Fragonard's scents, the Galimard workshop was either a better value or fit better into our schedule and I think I chose Grasse over Èze so we could stop in Nice to shop on the way back, but I digress. After a while you really get overstimulated by all the scents and can't really smell enough to tell the difference and get a headache. We went to the Fragonard factory store after doing perfume school and perfume shopping after making perfume was impossible. I just grabbed what I knew I liked from previous visits. There's not a ton to do in Monaco and it's a bitch to drive in. I'd stay somewhere else in the area and just make a day trip to see the gardens, palace, and casino. The Cote d'Azur, and the south of France as a whole, is really lovely though. Not only that, but her map didn't even look like a street map, it looked like the touristy map they give out at the hotels. If it's the one I had, which it looked like it was, it's all cartoony and okay for walking around Monaco, would be close to useless driving around the area. GPS is kind of useless in a lot of Monaco. A lot of the roads are built into the side of the mountains and the GPS doesn't know what level you're on so it's telling you to turn left when you're in a tunnel with no offshoots or way to turn. Ask me how I know :( I have barely contained disdain for Hayley and I'm only watching her on TV. I can't imagine what spending time with her in person would be like. I think Blair is holding it together pretty well considering he hasn't murdered her yet. They said "bourgie" referring to bourgeoisie originating from the French word bourgeois (it kind of sounds like "booshy"). If I'm remembering my high school French properly (it's been a very long time), originally bourgeois referred to property owners and later morphed to mean the middle class. Marx had a whole deal about bourgeois revolution and through this context bourgeoisie has come mean the materialistic capitalist upper class -- the 1%, if you will. Bourgie has become slang for pretentiously materialistic. It would not apply to the current paragraph as it is only pretentious and not also materialistic :) -

Kim may have said he was just reactive to objects, but watching the show and observing the dog, it was obvious that was not true. I'm not blaming the victim or defending Kim, I think Kim is 100% at fault. I just thought it was funny that they are saying that seeing the dog on the show caused them to be not afraid of it, where as I think seeing the dog, and Kim's handling of the dog, on the show made it evident that there would be future problems. I'd be terrified to go to Kim's house. -

Interesting read. Well, as interesting as a long legal document can be :) This caught my eye: "The misrepresentations by Defendants in the broadcasts of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills television shows premiering on November 11,2013, and on March 17, 2014, and other relevant episodes, caused Plaintiff, through her daughter, to not be concerned at all about the dog and to agree to spend the night at Defendant Richards’ residence." What show were they watching? Every episode with Kim and Kingsley has shown it to be a dangerous situation due to her lack of ability to be a proper master to a dog like Kingsley. Dana Pam! -
I wish Hugo had been called to the stand as a hostile witness for the defense. Between his acting out and Rosie's histrionics over it, it would have been golden.

I doubt Kyle made Kim's landlord file an insurance claim to pay for Alexia's hospital bills. Kyle has a lifetime of cleaning up Kim's messes under her belt, why would she start making messes for Kim at this point in life? Kyle and Mauricio have plenty of money and no doubt have medical insurance for their kids. I'm sure covering their copays wasn't a big deal for them. If they said they knew the dog, their medical insurance might try seek subrogation from a liable party and trigger a claim, but that doesn't always happen. It seems highly unlikely that Kyle would sue Kim for compensation for non-monetary damages like pain and suffering, which would be another way that the insurance company would get involved. I cannot speak towards all the other people that Kim's dog has bitten though. -

Would you loan Kim money? I sure wouldn't. And if I was Mauricio I'd want no part in any real estate transactions involving Kim, especially after being accused of stealing her damn house.
