  1. Okay, the one and only time I felt a tiny bit for Jac was in her TH talking about Nicholas and how he may never do the same things and participate in team stuff like typical kids do. I know I had the same thoughts about my son when he was first diagnosed, and I would imagine that's pretty normal for any parent who has a kid who is differently abled. But that was about it. This shit stirrer tried it from the first moment she walked in…not speaking to Teresa when she walked in, then sticking her hand in her face, then trying to imply over and over "someone" was talking about her and trying to unsuccessfully stir the pot…it can't be said enough, she is exhausting. I know teenage girls more mature, and for someone who is knocking on 50, she is unbelievably needy. It was nice to see the others engage her without full out coddling her. Not sure how long that will last but we'll see. This made me giggle for like 20 minutes, you always bring the zings ZaldamoWilder :-)! The funny thing is that I've seen Melissa in person before (in Target with her kids, I was standing behind her in line) and she is quite beautiful without makeup. Her skin is absolutely flawless. Why she was sitting up at the table with full raccoon beat like she didn't just wake up is beyond me, her and Jacqueline both. I love how the other women were sitting there bare faced and straight out of effs to give, LOL. Nice to see Rino and JoeGui together, but with all that Joisy-speak flying all over the place, I couldn't tell you want the hell they were talking about, LOL. I don't know if it's the contrast between her and Crazy Jac, but I'm liking this zen Teresa. She's still a bit of a bubble head, but isn't taking the bait on anything, and nothing is ruffling her feathers. I'm liking the Sig too. She's over the top and would probably be a bit much to hang out with in real life, but on TV it's entertaining. I'm liking the dynamic of the women in general, though I know it's not going to last. :-(
  2. I agree with this wholeheartedly. It's not even entertaining, it's uncomfortable. The way she snapped at Melissa, telling her she didn't need to go through her to talk to her husband (which God bless Melissa, that would have been enough for me to punch her in the face)...her flashes of anger and nastiness are sudden and aggressive. It's just plain weird. Between that and her nuttiness on social media (I know, nothing new), she needs help. If this show is renewed for another season, I really hope she isn't invited back. She needs real help. Sidebar: That scene where she was with Asslee's fiance picking out a ring, and he picked out a 3 karat cushion cut diamond, and she says, "oh you can upgrade over the years," I wanted to punch her. A 3 karat diamond isn't good enough for your snooty daughter?! Ugh.I I don't have much to say about Teresa, except that she looks better than she has in all six seasons of this show. Between the lighter hair, the lack of fake tan, her more athletic body, and the more minimal makeup, prison did her a world of good in the looks department. And I admit to tearing up during that scene with Milania talking about Joe going to "camp." The only ones I feel sorry for in this situation are the kids. Not much to talk about with Dolores. I like her and her family, but I just can't get behind a woman being financially dependent on a man that she's been divorced from for 12 years. It's just weird. Not saying that divorced people should be at each other's throats and not get along, but being that close is just...I don't know. With all of Siggy's all over the place-ness, I'm enjoying learning more about her family. With such traditional parents and her daughter speaking Hebrew without struggling, I find it hard to believe that's the first Shabbat they've ever had, but it was nice to see.
  3. I SOOO agree with this, and I don't understand why there are people out there who think that type of behavior is cute. Would you be okay with your kid telling you to shut up that they become a teenager? Respect is taught at a young age. Like someone said above, a nice contrast between Teresa's spawns of Satan (I get they've been through a lot, but still…) would be the Gorga kids actually acting like well behaved children. The things these people do for money and fame, especially at the expense of their children, is unbelievable. Confession: I've lived in NJ for close to four years now, and my wardrobe and home is slowly being inundated with leopard print and sparkly everything from what feels like against my will. I was contemplating some leopard throw pillows, and it dawned on me, "Dear God Jersey, what have you done to me?!" LMAO!
  4. I totally agree with this. I am insanely envious of the Gorga kitchen…their house in general, really. I think it's the nicest McMansion out of all of them. Of course, I like running water and counters that are actually made of granite, and not wax painted to look like granite, but…yeah, the kitchen seems complete at least ;-) I posted this a while back, but they put their grander "dream home" up for sale , unfinished and asking for way too much money. Looks to me that they ran out of money during construction. I imagine the Gorgas got their money in a similar manner as the Guidices, it just hasn't caught up with them yet. And at this point, it's pretty clear that Bravo is the primary source of income for these Howives, which makes me wonder where they'd be if this show never came along. My thoughts on the episode: During the whole montage of Melissa the businesswoman sequence, I kept screaming at the TV "Welcome to the world of the Working Mom, Missy!" And as annoying as JoeGo is, I agree that it's a bit ridiculous for her to tell she needs him there in the morning to get the kids their breakfast and get them to school. My friend's husband works in construction and he has to be at work at 4am every morning. There are other areas he could help, but in this case, suck it up, buttercup. I also agree that this store of hers is basically going to be an extension of her closet. Her business partner was right, as ugly as that brown outfit was, you need to have something for everyone. I live a few towns over from Montclair, the next time I pass through I'm going to go in there. Agreed that Drunk Melissa MFing Gorga is more fun. I almost died when she squealed "TEEEEAA-rible!" and did a slow recline in the car seat, LMAO. Keep a sangria in that chick's hand at all times, please! The Teresa/Jacqueline meet up was definitely a set up by the producers…but I don't think Teresa was in on it. She looked genuinely surprised at Jacqueline showing up at the door, and not pleasantly surprised. She clearly still has her guards up with Jacqueline, and I don't blame her. And because it can't be said enough…Whacko Jacko is EXHAUSTING. That whole montage of her babbling about her non-friendship with Teresa exemplified it. I would say poor Chris, but I really wish he would grow a set and tell her, "We have real problems, like keeping a roof over our heads, and you're still whining about this shit? FOH!" His wife is a spoiled teenager, and between her and all the financial crap, Chris looks like he needs a Xanax and a long nap. Teresa, I could have lived the rest of my life not hearing that fish story, about homemade sex toys, and squirting and no, it doesn't make me want to buy your book. Way to make Deloris's party about you. But, and I know I'm in the minority, I think she looks good. The paler (no fake and bake tan), more subtle makeup, no hair extensions…I think she looks a bit younger and fresher. Her demeanor overall has changed…less reactive but less tolerant of BS. Going to "camp" really did a number on her. She keeps skating around her role in why she ended up there, but that's no surprise. Kathy/Rosie…added nothing to the episode. So Kathy, you're going to show up the party, not speak to Teresa but shoot daggers at her the entire time? Are you even getting paid to be there? I liked the Wakiles too when they first came on the scene, but Kathy has shown over and over what a shady bitch she is. Not sure how to feel about Deloris yet, though I think she is gorgeous, and owns her sexy without being try hard. I'm not sure about her relationship with her ex-husband, but situations like that always weird me out. You obviously have to be civil and maybe kinda sorta friends for the kids, but being THAT close to your ex, who cheated on your numerous times and humiliated you…it's just strange to me to be able to sit down and break bread with that person, kids or not. Her family basically not acknowledging the divorce either is counterproductive too. I adored her Grandma though, I hope we get to see more of her. I've enjoyed seeing Siggy on different talk shows for awhile now, and it was interesting to learn a little more about her. She is going to be bring the funny and the shade this season.
  5. I came here to say that same thing! As far as I know there's no turret, faux Mediterranean requirement mandated by the state when you build in NJ, LOL. I don't understand it just because there are so many gorgeous mansions and farmhouse type of houses scattered on a decent plot of land in North Jersey. Hell, her original house was beautiful! And seeing how Kathy is no longer a full time HW and as far as I've heard, is not being paid the same salary, goodness only knows how long they'll be able to hold on to it. So with you Tattleteeny, I would LOVE a craft room, or a "she-shed," a place to call my own and let my creativity flow freely and make it super girly. A nice rancher with a front porch that I can sit on and be a noisy old lady, with a big backyard that my kids can run wild in would be a dream come true for me, and unlike the NJ HWs, my husband and I will actually save and sacrifice to get just that in the near future ;-). YES, that storm was crazy! There were traffic lights and down tree branches everyone on my way home from work today. I hope everyone is safe and sound and dry too ;-)
  6. You're right, I forgot all about that. They moved to Franklin Lakes in season 6, close to the Lauritas. Nothing like a couple close to retirement age and with two grown children upsizing in the sunset of their life, SMH.
  7. SO MUCH THIS! I live in Northern NJ too, and we currently have the highest property taxes IN THE COUNTRY, and they are climbing Why on earth would you want to dig yourself in such a hole for appearances? These people don't think of the long term maintenance, increased cost of living every year, taxes etc. I guarantee none of them will be living in those McMansions in 10 years. And I don't doubt that these people make good money (legit or not), you can get more modest but still large home for under a mil. And WORD on the PSE&G bill during NJ ridiculously brutal winters. We stay bundled and wrapped in blankets during the winter and turn the heat up only when it's frigid, because the bill to heat our little two bedroom apartment climbs up past $100. I don't even want to think about what it costs to heat and cool those giant places, SMH. And yes, fertility treatments are usually covered once on insurance, but if it doesn't take, you're on your own with paying for it. My cousin and her husband spent close to $100k before finally having their gorgeous daughter. Not to mention the emotional toll it takes on you. So yes, suck it, Lauritas.
  8. Not sure if this should go here but...http://realestate.nj.com/realestate-news/2016/07/melissa_gorgas_dream_house_for.html That's a lot of money for a house that isn't even finished, and it looks to be a carbon copy of the one they're already living in. Hope there's running water and countertops made of granite and not wax!
  9. Totally agree with this. There's a reason why classic beauties from back in the day, like Sophia Loren and Dianne Carroll are just as stunning now as they were back then. They didn't spend thousands of dollars pumping chemicals in their bodies and using a plastic surgeon's knife to rework what they were born with. You can't outrun Father Time no matter how hard you try, so work with him. Yes, they've obviously aged, but their beauty is timeless, and there's a sparkle there just comes with age and wisdom. I feel a teeeeeenny bit sorry for Jac in that sense, she obviously suffers from such bad body and face dysmorphia, and seems to have been for a long time, long before HWs.
  10. OMG thank you for the laugh this morning! She is about two lunchtime procedures away from that exact look!
  11. Okay admittedly, I've been waiting on pins and needles waiting for this show to come back! There's nothing else on that's piquing my interest, so yeah, Summers by Bravo! So here's my thoughts: Teresa: Add me to list of people that got a little misty when Teresa reunited with the girls. Also add me to the list of people who is just over the constant crucification of her. They got caught, Teresa served her time, Joe is currently serving his time, they are paying off the court-ordered debts…not what else she is supposed to do to redeem herself. The Bravo wealth is not going to be around forever, and Teresa is not going to be able to maintain that lifestyle once the Bravo train leaves the station. And she's never going to admit to wrongdoing, because I think she is not going to give herself that rope to hang herself with. One wrong word on camera and they can reopen this case. I thumbed through the newly released court documents and Teresa was fully aware of what was happening. That being said, I'll watch her on the show because the check she is getting from Bravo is helping her pay back the people they ripped off in some way. Melissa: I normally like Joe Gorga but he really grossed me out this episode. I know men who hold tight to those caveman ideals and are generally harmless. But I really hope he was putting on for the cameras because he was seriously ODing. Even Melissa gave him the side eye several times, and not in an amused way. She has to get tired of the constant sex jokes and groping. I could have done without his little naked shower scene too. Him and Melissa's storyline is pretty predictable…Tarzan no likey Melissa going out and working because his perfect little concubine won't be there to serve him and sex him when he feels like it. He may actually have to *gasp* make himself food sometimes and look after his kids once and a while. Again, if a woman chooses to be a SAH wife and mom and her whole life is her husband and kids, there's nothing wrong with that. But he should be more supportive if she decides she wants something to "call her own." I put that in quotes because from what I heard, Melissa does not own the store. It's actually owned by a woman based in CA who owns several boutiques around the country, and Melissa gets paid to promote it. So I highly doubt you'll walk in and see her steaming outfits and folding shirts. But hey, it's money she's earning on her own and he needs to respect her for it. Jacqueline: Just…ugh. I could have done without ever seeing Drunkeline's boozy Easter Island head again. She was clearly brought in to be Teresa's antagonist and she didn't waste any time. She's still a petulant teenager, taking digs at Teresa at every moment, all while whining over Teresa not reaching out to her, or adding her to the list of people to visit her (REALLY, bitch? She's going to give up a spot for her immediate family for YOU?). I've never seen someone SO obsessed over a supposedly dunzo friendship. And as for her constant blubbering over Nicholas EVERY SINGLE TIME she talks about him…frankly, get over it. Toughen up and focus on helping your son! My son is 5 years old and was diagnosed with ASD last year. Did I cry? Yes. Do I still cry? Once in a blue, and it's mostly out of worry about certain things. But 90% of the time, I'm making sure I am working with him, getting him the help that he needs, and trying to help him navigate the world in his own way, rather than trying to force him into a normal box. Every ASD journey is different, and I don't want to take away from any struggles her and Chris may have with Nick, but dammit…accept him how he is and go from there. It's the only way he's going to grow and improve. And the donut thing made me SMH. Same thing happened the last time he said I love you, he was bribed with a lollipop. Someone said above that he said it because he wanted the donut and he was prompted, and they're right. The clinical term is echolalia. A lot of ASD kids that struggle with speech often repeat what they hear because in their mind, saying ANYTHING satisfies the need to talk. My son does it. I can tell him to say "I love you Mommy" and he will, but only because I told him too. But I know now he shows his love in different ways that don't involve words. What really, REALLY burns me about Jacqueline is that she could really use this platform to educate people about autism and truly share their journey with Nick. It would be amazing for parents who watch and who are going through something similar. I don't think we've ever seen that on reality TV, and there are so few celebrities out there who are open about their kids with special needs. But no, she's going to act like a raving lunatic and fight everyone instead. Over it. I'm assuming we'll learn more about the other two next week. But I enjoy Siggy every time she's on Wendy and I think Delores is beautiful and pretty funny going by the few times we've seen her on older episodes. So we'll see. Happy watching all!
  12. This made me laugh longer than I would like to admit LMAO! It's so true though…I admire her hustle, and there's nothing wrong with having faith in your abilities, but Dutchess seriously isn't skilled enough to be that pompous. There are better tattoo artists in NYC. WAY better. And while I do think Dutchess is pretty in an earthy type of way, homegirl needs to have an economy sized tube of Blistex with her at all times. Her lips stay looking crusty and peeling. I have pair of full lips too, and a little dryness will make you look like Tyrone Biggums real quick. Work on that, honey. I can pretty much guarantee that King and Queen of Harlem will never make it to the altar. What kind of life are they going to build when they both live and "run businesses" in two separate states (more on that in a minute)? And can we please retire the whole "OMG I think I'm pregnant, let's cut to commercial while I whip out an EPT and pretend to pee on it" storyline? I've seen the same scenario on three reality shows just last week. Just stop, producers. And I agree with trying to build a life and start a family with a man who doesn't take care of the one he already has. I know people have strong opinions about Child Support and I'm probably simplifying it, but IMO, just have the friggin' courts take it out of your check each week. That's proof positive you're doing something to provide financially, and there's no leverage any baby mama can have on you. It's all there in black and white. These hood arrangements where "I'll give you money when I can" really don't benefit anyone in the long run. Speaking of which, I'm glad to see Kathy get a TH, that means she's hopefully getting a paycheck for being on this show and being cast as "Crazy Baby Mama #2" like she has been the past few years. Nothing about what O'Sh*t is doing now is surprising, at all, so I don't have much to say about him. As far a Black Ink the shop goes, I know quite a few people that live in Harlem (my husband grew up there), and have been in and around the neighborhood the shop is in, and it is closed more often than not. And like someone said above, the cast is almost never there, and if there are no other tattoo artists other than Oh Sh*t, how is the shop even making any money? Leasing fees and business taxes are astronomical in Manhattan. How can he afford to just shut down for an entire month? And correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, tattoo artists are independent contractors, much like hairstylists. The shop makes money by the artists renting booth space, to do their work. But as long as you're licensed and have clean equipment, you can work pretty much anywhere. My brother who is covered in tattoos, has a licensed tattoo artist come to his house whenever he wants to get inked. Not sure why Sh*t and Dutchess couldn't do that, if they have as extensive of a client list as they claim. The only ones that would be affected would be the non tattooing staff. Whatever. Donna is the one that makes me itch, mainly in places where the sun don't shine. Like secondhand STD type of itching. She basically came to NY to be a Black Ink groupie and is wondering why she is still an apprentice after two years. Sex doesn't get you nearly as far as you think it will, honey. You have to have some sort of work ethic, which she clearly does not have. How do you book an appointment and leave all your equipment at home? And I have to say it, her look is too extreme for me. I know that's just part of the body mod culture, but between the big blonde and rainbow hair, the facial piercings, the effed up teeth, and those blue contacts, I cringed when she appeared onscreen. The only one I've seen that can pull off the extreme looks are Kat Von D and Dave Navarro. Donna just looks unwashed to me. They all do, really except for Ted. Ted at least looks like he showers and puts on clean underwear on the regular. Speaking of Ted, he looks good and like he's dropped a few pounds. Glad to say he has an actual job at Black Ink (at least one you can report to the IRS) other than "resident couch sitter." I thought it was pretty damn funny how he shut Donna down about her appointment without even sitting up. That scene was meant to be made into a "That Moment When You're Too Lazy to…" etc, LOL!
  13. I liked Jac in Season One and Two too. She was pretty and bubbly and seemed like a lot of fun to be around. Her drama with Ashlee just seemed to be typical of the way kids are at that age, but it digressed into something really dark by the 3rd season, and I felt bad for Ashlee. Like someone said above, she has probably been hearing that "I sacrificed SO MUCH for you" line her entire life(which HELLO, welcome to being a MOTHER, Jacqueline), and made to feel like a burden and mistake. There was an episode in Season Four, during that whole relay games at their house, and Gia lost something and got upset and stormed inside. And then Jac followed her and told her how much of a sore loser she was and proceeded to read a book about sore losers and mocking her in that stupid sing-song voice, while Gia is sobbing and begging her to stop. I'm no Teresa fan, but I would have punched her in the face. And it made me think, "Geez, if she's doing to someone else's kid, imagine what she's done to her own?" One thing I will say about Ashlee though, she's always had her mother's number. When she said that her mother likes to insert herself into drama, she was exactly right, and Jacqueline has shown that over and over. And because it can't be said enough, THEIR FACES. I live in Northern NJ though, and there's as many "lunchtime procedure" places around here as there are strip malls. It's nothing unusual around here. Sad, but not unusual.
  14. I agree 1000% with this. I feel bad for the Staub girls as well, but it ALL can't be blamed on Bravo or Andy Cohen. These shows are producer-manipulated to the hilt, but even then they can only get what you give. And you can't blame reality TV for that disgusting sex tape she put out, or the faux lesbian relationship she had with that songwriter, or her erratic behavior years after she "left" the show. I don't think Christine is exactly in denial about her mother's mental issues, but I think she's learned just how to balance her response to it. You could see that when they were on the show. For their sake, I hope they have found some peace, and I wish them successful lives. I also agree about minor kids on reality shows. It's one thing if grown adults want to make fools of themselves for a check, but their kids are left with no option. And one thing that really struck me about Christine's story is how she was treated by her peers day to day because of her mother's behavior on the show. There should be some sort of revised Coogan Law for reality show kids. Limiting their time on screen and being filmed, blurred faces after a certain age, etc. Something to give them some sort of protection.
  15. Okay, so that scene with Brandon and Craig getting "sugared?" COMPLETELY unnecessary. I did not expect them to go the full monty either, legs behind the ears and all. It felt like I was watching a soft core porn. In all honesty it really took away from all of the sweet things that happened with them this season. So thanks for ruining that, guys. Overall though, I think they were sweet and they both take their marriage seriously, so they will last forever. So sorry about what happened with Bree's miscarriage, I hope her and her wife are able to conceive soon. Tara and Rob, that was a pretty quick roundup, which leads me to believe that their whole storyline was amped up for drama (shocking, I know). Seriously though, if Rob wants to make his 3rd marriage his last one, and a long lasting one, he's going to have to suck up his disdain for his in-laws and move on. The fact of the matter is that Rob and Tara's beginning as a couple was shitty, not matter how many romantic flowers they throw on it. It's going to take some time for everyone to get past that, and it seems like her parents are trying and want to build a relationship with him. And Tara…ugh, I'm not sure what to think of her still, but I have a feeling she has no problem playing the perfect "Persian Princess" and a kept woman to a wealthy older man, so that whole convo with her sister was bullshit. But hey, we all have goals in life. What she has to realize is that to play that role, it requires total submission, and because he controls her purse strings, he is going to find out about any financial decisions she makes. PS: here is a slightly awkward family Tara and Rob and Rob's kids at their wedding. I can respect the fact that with all of their antics, they chose not to include them on the show. Nice roundup of Rob and Ro too. Congratulations to them too on the new baby, and building a new life in Florida. It will be nice to be closer to their families now that they have a child of their own. And again since it was a key part of their story…I'm from NY and I've known a lot of transplants over the years that come to live and work in NY, and I've seen that in a lot of cases, they either love it or hate it. There are a lot of great things about NYC, but it can be tough and hard and bustling. A lot of out of towners move here with the idealized version of NYC from the movies and TV shows. When they realize that it's not, they either adapt or they move elsewhere. And I have to agree with Rob, I'd rather pay a hefty amount of money for a nice sized house instead of a shoebox, especially now that they have a little one. As far as Erica and Adonis goes, I don't know why I didn't think of this before…does anyone think they aren't actually "legally" married? I just get that feeling, and they kind of threw together a wedding to be on this show. I also think that her two week trip to Seattle was planned in advance, on her Instagram it says she loves to travel, so I think she was planning to "find herself" before they started filming. Someone her Insta called her Kourtney Kardashian, and with the vocal fry and extensions and shitty "husband," that's pretty damn accurate. I'm not surprised that she's so young either, and so fickle about what she wants to do with her marriage. I forgot to mention this last episode, but when her sisters were listening to her whine about Adonis for what it probably the millionth time, her sister Marina looked like she wanted to pick up her oxygen tank and hit her with it, if she had the strength. Like, "Bitch, I'm sitting here with barely enough air in my lungs to live, and you're whining about your shitty husband again? GTFOH." I have no real hope for them until Erica hits like 30-something and realizes that she is better off then tying herself to that shady ass dude.
  16. Rob and Ro: Their biggest issue is that they argue dirty. Both have valid points when they do argue, but they both hit below the belt. And Rob really needs to chill with throwing the D word out every time they fight. From this perspective, all it says to me that when things aren't lovey dovey, that means the marriage has to end. It's cruel, and if it continues, I don't think the marriage will last. I have hope for them though, because they seem to truly care for each other, and the weird limbo between "job to pay the bills" and "dream career" is not uncommon in the stage of life that they're in. PS: not to stray too off topic, but it's kinda not because it's a key point in their story, but this is the complex they live in. Pricy but the amenities look amazing, and the commute from Jersey City to Manhattan is only like 15 minutes or less, depending on where you work (try commuting nearly an hour from NJ, R&R!!!) A lot of these Manhattan moguls live in NJ just because they get more bang for their buck, so I think they need to just stay where they are…but different strokes for different folks. Craig and Brandon: I forgot to post about them the last time because they're boring, and by that I mean they are a caring, functional, and loving couple. I loved watching Craig take Brandon through NYC, the song he sang for him, and the way he took care of Brandon last week after his surgery. Craig is a little immature, but I think that's more to do with the age difference between them, and he will mature. I enjoy watching them. Erica and Adonis: This has clearly been a pattern for them for several years, probably most of their relationship. Adonis engages in some questionable behavior (and is most definitely cheating), Erica gets upset, Adonis does some elaborate gesture to get back in her good graces, she begrudgingly forgives, he engages in questionable behavior again. Wash, rinse, repeat. And judging by the condescending way Adonis was speaking to her during that phony dinner with that shit-eating grin on his face (though that may be his normal face, LOL), it's clear that he isn't going to change. And count me with everyone who is wondering what in the hell they do for a living to afford that house. Because, SERIOUS property envy. Rob and Tara: Ugh. Ugh, ugh, ugh. I want to feel sorry for Tara because Realtor Rob is such a douchebag, but she makes it hard. I would bet anything that she painted her parents in this awful light and telling him that they made her marry her ex-husband, but didn't think he would take that and run with it She also thought she could bat her eyelashes, be a "kept woman" and spend however she wanted without Rob saying anything. That's the one shred of respect I have for Rob, he doesn't seem like he's going to let her run him into the poorhouse. He showed that by them staying at his friend's house, rather than the Four Seasons like she wanted. I think the majority of the lies she's told him are slowly catching up with her. That said, Rob is no prize either. I can't believe that a man of nearly 50 would hold so tight onto a grudge. Should he be seeking out Tara's parents approval at this stage of his life? No. But he is absolutely wrong in trying to make her completely separate herself from them, and is completely petty for being so angry with him for NOT embracing him with open arms, considering how their daughter met him? YES. And even if they did treat him some type of way, it's time to GET OVER IT. Especially since he is supposedly in this for the long run (though with two other marriages behind him, I don't feel too confident). I see her parents just accepting what it is and trying to embrace him, and him digging his heels in and not budging. It's ridiculously childish. I don't foresee them lasting more than another year, especially if sex is the ONLY thing that is keeping them together(which by the way, barf).
  17. I agree…they are being a bit vague, but addiction sounds like it could be the reason. Ro being the result of an affair sounds like it could be a reason too, and her father's wife just "went along with it" until he had to share out money beyond child support or whatever. Whatever the circumstances, I hope he is sincere about wanting to rebuild a relationship with her. And I love how supportive Rob was of her and this journey. I love them in general, really. They seem the most grounded, despite those couple of intense arguments. I think they both are just trying to find their footing as a twenty-something married couple, trying to build their careers and a life in NY/NJ. And they seem to acknowledge the faults in their relationship and trying to work on them. I really wish them the best. Erica and Adonis were not completely gross this week, LOL. Although I really, REALLY hope there is a better option, it's really sweet that Erica wants to take care of her nephew if something happened to her sister, and Adonis seemed to be on board. I also agree with whomever said that Adonis doesn't seem to look back on his childhood favorably. His father is disgusting, his lifestyle is misogynistic, not polyamorous. Multiple women, multiple baby mama drama…the man has probably never even witnessed a loving, monogamous relationship. That's not an excuse for his past behavior, just an insight. So with that said, Erica has every right to have trust issues, but for the marriage to work, the effort has to come from BOTH sides…Adonis to really work at being faithful and true to Erica, and for Erica to work at trusting him and giving credit where credit is due. I don't have a lot a faith in them, but I see the chance, at least. Rob and Tara make me uncomfortable. Yes she's a manipulative cow, but the amount of anger I see seeping out of those sun-damaged pores when she mentions her family or something is scary. Tasty Tara better stay young and hot (and I use ALL THREE of those terms loosely) for as long as possible, because I think the moment she steps out of his "Persian Princess" box, she's gonna be out that newly remodeled door.
  18. Agreed, I thought Mariah Lynn was going to have a seizure with all of those jerky, eye rolling, over exaggerated moves. Her THs just scare me in general, she's a strange looking bird. Between the ice blue eyes and brown blush, she honestly made me jump when she first appeared on screen. I kinda like her though, just for the fact that she clearly doesn't take herself all that seriously and this show was the "close up" she's been waiting for a long time. Cardi B…meeeeh, I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm just not a fan of her. I find her incredibly annoying. IMO it's like she's trying to be a Joseline Junior, speech impediment and all. But while Joseline's personality seems real, Cardi is a circus act. I can't figure out what's going on with her teeth either. And count me in with whoever said that I see absolutely no chemistry between her and DJ Self. And speaking of Self, maaaan what a punchable face he has. I can't stand men like him. Grinning stupidly while two women fight over him, or someone is yelling at him, etc. It's just so arrogant. But these women take it though. Yourma, if an entire year passes and your man doesn't publicly acknowledge you, it ain't that serious, boo. Learn the signs. There's nothing I can say about the Pankey Circle of Yuck that hasn't already been said. Two dumb ass women fighting over a self-admitted dog ass man. I felt for Tara when this mess first started, but now after two seasons and two alleged pregnancies, I can't stand her. So you're going to get mad at your ex-man for sleeping with HIS WIFE, aka the former side chick that he married? You watched him chase her all last season to "make things right" with his wife, even attempting to give her another ring, and you STILL sleep with him and now you're allegedly pregnant with another baby he isn't going to take care of?! As for Amina, she really needs to cut her losses and go back to Germany, be near her family, raise her daughter, and just get out of a very toxic environment. Honestly I think the only reason why she is staying in the States is because she's fighting hard for a viable music career. I used to follow her on IG, and she does a LOT of shows and open mikes. Maybe she thinks she'll "make it" if she stays here. Cause Peter sure ain't worth all this drama, and I refuse to think she is that stupid. Yandy and Mandecees…another couple I don't feel sorry for. This situation has been a long time coming for them…long before they got engaged, married, etc. So it really shouldn't be a surprise. The only people I feel bad for is the kids, because they are the ones most affected by the choices of their dumb ass parents. Mandecees should be thanking his lucky stars that he didn't get even MORE time, and the fact that 20 years was on the table should say how severe his crimes were. I love me some Remy and Papoose. It is truly refreshing to see a couple that actually love each other on this show. I love the way he looks at her, and his clear priority is to protect her and make sure she is happy. I was a fan of Remy back in the day, and I like that she seems more about reconnecting with her family, instead of being a rap superstar. The music will come, but they clearly put family first. The only thing I can say about "stiletto expert and music manager" Rasheeda is that she's been on this show since the beginning, and she STILL doesn't have a place in the opening credits/theme song. Anyone notice that? And with BBOD or whatever they're called…the fact that this show is airing simultaneously with the commercials they are airing for the upcoming "The Breaks" movie, and playing all of the hip-hop hits from back in the day, like Queen Latifah, Public Enemy, Slick Rick, etc. shows just how far in the gutter hip hop has fallen. How did we go from "Ladies First" to "THOTalicious?" I grew up in the late 80s early 90s during hip hop's prime and It's disgusting and sad to see the comparison. Especially since these chicks are from NY, where hip hop originated. But I'll be watching tonight, because I'm a sadist.
  19. Oh, I agree with you. And eventually, that's where they will be, if that. I don't even think they'll be able to rent a one bedroom apartment with the type of record and recognizability they have now. That alone is karma, and it's not going to end. They really are going to suffering the consequences for the rest of their lives. Also to be clear, the only people I feel bad for in this situation is their kids. Joe and Teresa knowingly ripped a lot of people off, and they deserve what they are getting. But the kids didn't ask for any of this nonsense, and they are the ones that really have to suffer the scrutiny, the whispers, and the flat out cruelty. Especially Gia. That age is just so cruel, even more so now with social media and all. I don't even want to think about what kind of bashing she gets daily. She comes across as very mature, but she is still only 14. As for them still living in the mansion, like someone said above, foreclosure can take years, and with the right attorneys, it can be postponed over and over again.I'll explain my own personal experience…when my grandmother passed away in 2006, she left my childhood home to myself, my Dad, my brother, and my uncle (my mom's brothers, who passed away back in 2000). Not too long afterward, my uncle, who is shady to say the least, managed to convince my Dad to transfer the deed into his name, and refinance the house. Mind you, it was maybe two or three years away from being paid off (my grandparents bought it brand new back in the 50s). My Dad, who has too much faith and not enough financial sense, went along with it, thinking it would help pay for some repairs in the house. They also agreed that my Dad would pay for any repairs and utilities every month, and my uncle would pay the mortgage and taxes. Long story short, we found out four years ago that my uncle hadn't been paying either, and pocketing the tax refunds he was getting, and both the bank and the town we live in would be foreclosing on the house. Over the course of those four years, we have tried every avenue…grants, programs, etc. But because so much time had passed, there wasn't much we could do other than going into further debt. So my Dad gave up, and just paid the monthly bills to survive. Meanwhile, my uncle has not shelled out a dime and is basically living there for free. Now, after all this time, the proceedings are starting this month. Luckily, my Dad has found an apartment and is going to walk away from this unscathed because nothing is his name, but the whole situation is just shitty, because we are being forced to walk away from our childhood. So I say all that to say this…they probably will be there a while, and because lawyers continue to work with them for some strange reason, they'll probably keep postponing everything until they just can't anymore. But rest assured, they are not going to be able to stay in that mansion for long, for the upkeep alone. That area of NJ is expensive, and I don't even want to know what it takes to heat and light that place!
  20. Okay, I have to admit, I was looking forward to this. Mostly because I was curious as to how Juicy was going to act in the THs and whatnot. He's not the most articulate person, and to my knowledge, he is the only RHONJ husband that has never done a one on one interview. And he didn't disappoint. Didn't say a whole lot of substance, or show a lot of emotion, he was just kind of…there. I do think he misses Teresa, because you really don't realize how much someone does until they aren't there to do it anymore. And despite all of the issues they had marriage-wise a few seasons back, I do think he loves her and misses her because that is his wife of 10+ years. Even though it's by their own hands, it has to be hard. Gia has grown into a beautiful girl, and quite mature in the way she is dealing with all of this. It has to be particularly hard for her just because at this age you need your mom, and God only knows what her peers are saying to her on a daily basis. The other girls are young, so they will probably be able to walk away from this unscathed, but not Gia. Like someone said above, this is a pretty realistic portrayal of what happens to a family, when a major component has to "go away" for a while. I too am surprised that they allowed Teresa's voice to be on air, but I'm not surprised that she managed to get flowers and jewelry to Gia for the dance. You know enough people on the outside, you can get stuff like that done. I know a woman whose fiancé got her a pretty gorgeous engagement ring while he was locked up, so it happens. I agree with what someone said above, that Joe is saying the prison she's in is like a "spa," and Gia saying that her mother is working while she's in there is a coping mechanism. Who wants to say, "Yeah, my mom/wife is locked up in a federal prison?" As for the Gorgas/Manzos/Lauritas/Wakiles…Meh. I believe the Gorgas help out but aren't reaching out as much as they say, at least outside of family events and the occasional play date for the younger girls. And as for the others, why would they reach out? Teresa and Joe cut them off ages ago, and made it clear that they didn't want their friendship, so why try to drink from a well that has gone dry? I think the only reason why the Gorgas do what they do is because Joe is really Teresa's only close family other than her parents. I saw some people up in arms about Teresa not putting Melissa on her visit list…why would she? Things have been tense between them for years, and seems like they still do, so why would she waste a slot on her? I also watched WWHL, and man, was that uncomfortable. There were clearly unresolved issues between the Joes, and the tension was definitely there. Andy's comments about how much sex Joe Gorga has with his wife was uncomfortable too, honestly. Joe makes jokes about it, and I'm all for a husband lusting after and being faithful to his wife. But after a while it just became weird. Melissa looked embarrassed. Overall, it was okay, exactly what I expected. And it's not on long enough to get boring, 3 episodes is enough. And for those who say they'll boycott because it's "glorifying criminals" and all that…you are well within your right and all, and I understand the perspective. But these two are paying their debt to society, and will continue to pay it long after they finish their prison sentences. They will never recoup that money, they have a permanent felony charge on their record, all income will have a lien on it, eventually they are going to lose the mansion, they won't be able to take out another loan, fraud another business, there's the chance Joe is going to be deported, they will continue to have to answer to John Q. Public, etc. They are going to pay for their actions for the rest of their natural lives. If that isn't karma, I don't know what is.
  21. Speaking of marriages…I don't know if this is supposed to go here, but it looks like 21 times is the charm, cause Danielle Staub is engaged. The guy in question is handsome and reportedly very wealthy (seriously, where do these women find these rich guys?) I don't think I am all for Danielle coming back to the show, because it's uncomfortable enough with the Gorga/Guidice nonsense. But I would be all over a wedding special. It would be interesting to see Danielle's level of crazy try to plan a lavish wedding. I honestly have to give it to Danielle. She has stayed relatively quiet over the past few years, unlike her former castmates. She doesn't do the most on social media and seems to be in a healthier, better place. And if that is a recent picture of her, she looks damn good. I really believe that the Manzos ganged up on her since day one at Bravo's insistence, and made a socially awkward women lose touch with reality. And it turned out that all of the stuff she was saying about the other cast members was true (IE Teresa's bankruptcy and Dina's fraud marriage). So I'm curious as to what how her life is now. I know she lives in the West New York/Weehawken area (judging by her Twitter) and her oldest daughter goes to Seton Hall, but that's really it.
  22. I watched one episode of this show (the premiere) and was so turned off I vowed not to watch it again. I'll just follow along here, LOL.The Manzos are just not interesting enough to carry their own show. I liked Caroline the first three seasons of RHWONJ, but between age and menopause, she has turned into a complete nut. That brown eyeshadow she has in her talking heads isn't doing her any favors. Is Lauren doing her make up? Speaking of Lauren…God, what a miserable cow. All the extra cursing and acting out is clearly to grab camera time. And I agree with everyone who said getting WLS to lose 30 pounds is ridiculous. That type of surgery is supposed to be for morbidly obese, tried-every-other-option people, and ANY reputable bariatric doctor is supposed to tell you that from day one. Lauren is just lazy. As for her and Vito, I'm curious about how they handle the living situation. To my knowledge, their relationship has always been long distance, because the deli Vito's family owns and he works in is in upstate NY. Lauren's business Cafface is still open in Franklin Lakes. At the time of filming the show, they had been engaged for 2+ years. I would think that they would have saved up some money over this period of time. Why would it be a necessity for them to stay in the Manzo home? I'm thinking this more manufactured drama, or Caroline is hellbent on keeping her kids close to her. Albie…I'm not sure what to say about him, other than watching him kind of made me sad for him. He clearly is in limbo about life in general, and not sure where he wants to go and what he wants to do. I don't think he's gathered his footing since Season One, and he was convinced he was going to become a lawyer. BLK water and now this marijuana business (which I think every Joe Schmo wanted to be down with once the dispensaries opened in NJ because they thought it was cool to sell weed legally, LOL) are just fillers for him. He seems a bit depressed and I hope he figures out what he wants to do soon. Christopher used to annoy me, but honestly I give him credit for moving out into his own apartment, though I'm not quite sure what he does for a living to afford a place in Hoboken, which is INSANELY expensive. The fact that he lives with a roommate that isn't his brother says to me that he just wants to travel his own path, and keep his life more private. SIDENOTE: Since the only episode I saw featured Jacqueline, MY GOD, what has she done to her face?! I swear I think if she cracked a smile, it would probably split in half. The extremes people go to hold desperately to their youth kill me. Youth isn't in smooth skin, tight face and a perfect body, it's a certain sparkle in the eye and innocence in the attitude. I know 70 year old women who look younger than her. She now has that dead eye look running rampant on these reality shows. Sheesh. All in all, I'll probably watch again for Lauren's wedding, because judging by the pictures on Instagram, it looked beautiful, and so did she, honestly. Not before then, though LOL.
  23. So I'm currently watching season 6 on Hulu, after not watching at all last year. Let me know if it's okay to put it here, since so much time has passed since the finale, otherwise I'll move it :-) It's interesting to watch in now with everything that has happened. I'm up to episode 11, the one with Jacqueline, so here are my thoughts… The Guidices: I HATEHATEHATE the sympathy spin they have been receiving so far. And the level of denial in both Teresa and Joe makes me want to stab them in the neck. You commit various types of fraud for close to a decade, but when all of your crimes finally catch up with you, you "don't understand why this is happening" and it's just "haters" trying to bring you down? REALLY?! The only people I feel bad for in this situation is the kids, especially Gia who knew what was going on. PS, she is one gorgeous young lady. The last picture I saw of her, she was wearing a ridiculous amount of makeup, but on this season, her freshly scrubbed face and those clear blue eyes…she is beautiful. All of the Guidice kids are, really. And I do enjoy watching the interactions they have with their parents, I always have. But yeah, watching this now, it makes me wonder how things are going with them now. Teresa will be home in just a few months, and then Joe starts his 7 year sentence. And with their marble mausoleum going into foreclosure, I wonder where they are going to be living. The Gorgas: They definitely got the "normal" spin this season, though compared to everyone else, I'm not surprised. It's funny to see them talk about selling Stately Gorga Manor, when the reality was that they were renting it out, and we all see how that turned out. And honestly, I friggin LOVED that house they were renting. It was spacious but cozy, and very homey. I would kill to be able to get something just like that, not their old house OR that other giant monstrosity they were building. Who in the hell needs 9,000 square feet?! A house that big just loses its warmth. NJ is cheaper than NYC, but not by much, especially Northern NJ. A house that size with that much property in the town they live in has to be costing them a mint. And count me in with everyone said that blonde Melissa looks like a Kim K in her blonde days-knock off. In my head I still remember her season 3 less make up style, and she is definitely one of those chicks who are so-so without makeup, but stunning with tons of makeup on. All MAC and smoke and mirrors. Pretty fitting for this show ;-). I'd sell my soul for her body though, not gonna lie, haha! Dina: Yawn…I didn't expect much from her, and I'm not really a fan of her anyway. She is definitely an undercover bitch, and has a hard time concealing it sometimes. Divorce is hard, but after seeing that wedding show they were on, the one she wants us all so desperately to forget…Dina, Tommy showed you who he was from DAY ONE. He treated you like crap. So are we shocked that they are separating? No. I honestly feel like she's not as heartbroken as she lets on, and was fully aware this was going to happen the way that it did. I do enjoy the relationship she has with Lexi. I lost my mom when I was Lexi's age (17) and I know people were saying, "well Dina is still the mother and Lexi is the child, they shouldn't be friends like that, etc" but honestly, right before my mom passed, we were just starting become less like mother/daughter and more like girlfriends. I think it's just a natural progression as your daughter gets older. Can any other female posters close to their moms vouch for that? Amber: I don't want to talk too badly about anyone with "the cancer" (I'm from NY metro area too, that doesn't sound weird to me either, LOL). I can imagine that anyone how goes through something like that, their life completely spins out of control and so many things go into question, that it would make anyone rigid. She hasn't been anyone that has stood out to be inherently evil or particularly drama-mongering. Her husband though? What a piece of work. He is a prime example of Little Man's Syndrome, the type of dude that was probably picked on a lot in school and whatnot. He's not even an asshole in the entertaining way, like Rich. The Twins: Ugh, ugh and more ugh. They are exhausting. I really don't have anything to say about them because they are insanely annoying, both separately and apart. I hope to God that they don't come back next season.
  24. Season 6 is now on Hulu, in case anyone wants to watch it again. I didn't watch at all last year, so it's interesting to watch it now with all the things that have happened. I'm up to episode 10, I'm gonna share my thoughts over on the past seasons thread :-)
  25. SO. MUCH. THIS. I know there is no logic when it comes to people living beyond their means, but how do you look down at that paperwork, see close to $11,000 a month of a mortgage, and say "cool, where do I sign?" Even for the wealthy, forget about us regular folks. And I don't even want to think what it costs to maintain a house that size either, or the property taxes, etc. There's a lot to dislike about Jacqueline, but I give her a pass on this. With all of her craziness, she has never really struck me as the "gold digger" type, at least not in the way that Teresa or Melissa have. She doesn't need the newest of the new, or the best of the best. So she wasn't screeching in her husband's ear screeching "Moremoremore!" This was all Chris, which burns me because he really seemed like the more level headed of the ho-husbands (and I've always thought he was super hot LOL). The house was purchased before RHWONJ was even around, so Lord only knows where this money came from. That apparel business wasn't doing THAT well. I'm curious to see what happens with them. Whatever happened to BLK?
