  1. That Stevie and Joseline First Day of School though…just bury me with my good pearls, y'all. *dead and buried* I agree that Rasheeda is the prettiest one on the show. She's pretty with makeup on, but there was one rare shot of her with no make up on in one episode, and she was absolutely stunning. I don't know how much of the storyline for her and Kirk is faked, but there is seriously not enough money in the world to even PRETEND to break down my 14 year marriage in front of cameras and let some little hussy OR my husband make me look like an idiot. You don't look like a strong woman fighting for her marriage, Rasheeda. You look like a damn fool. I can only speak for myself, but personally I would like to see a loving, faithful, happily married couple hustling their business and navigating their personal life on reality TV. Can any of the couples on these shows ( or ANY reality show for that matter) say that? Is happiness really that boring? *Kanye shrug*
  2. I am ALL for Remy joining the cast. She really is a talented rapper, who probably would have gone pretty far if she hadn't gotten locked up. It will be interesting to see how she's transitioned back into normal life. And Erica Mena better be thanking her lucky stars that she's not on the show anymore, and not around to attempt to start shit with Remy. She did REAL time for a REAL violent crime, no made for TV fighting shit.
  3. Hey all! It's been a while since I've posted, but I definitely have been watching. I might throw a comment about previous episodes here and there, LOL: Joseline/Jessica: That battle was anti-climatic, to say the least. And goodness knows I'm not wasting good money to throw at anyone to prove a point, especially $1s and $5s. That's laundromat money, dammit. My take on these two is that Jessica came to ATL with one of two intentions: thinking she was going to get put on and ride Joseline's coattails, or to start shit with her get her "in" on the show. Whatever the case may be, it's not really working for her. Big-booty "former" strippers with multicolored hair and minimal musical talent are a dime a dozen in Atlanta (everywhere it seems, nowadays). And if she came to expose Joseline, it's too late, because everything exposed about her is old news and/or she's already owned up to it. I think that's what makes Joseline likable to some(myself included)…she gives zero fucks and is clearly an open book about everything. Karlie/Margeaux: Grouping these two together just because they were in the same scene, LOL. So Karlie has a record label now? Okay. And I'm not sure I believe she's 50, but she's definitely creeping up to it, because you can see the age in her face and especially her hands. It's really a shame she doesn't own up to it, because she looks damn good for someone in her mid 40s. Getting older is a blessing ladies, and don't let society tell you otherwise! As for Margeaux, add me to the list of people who kind of liked her song. I like her in general, really. Once you subtract Nikko out of the equation, she seems like one of those cool boho punk club kids you see running around Greenwich village. I could have hung out with her in a former life, LOL. The Jordans: These two are clearly being prepped to join the cast of L&HH LA, because goodness knows that show needs the ratings boost. I snickered at this group of "hedge funders" inking a "multi-million dollar" deal with them. More like scribbling an agreement on a notepad with Pookie n' Em to meet up at the local Shoprite parking lot to shoot a straight to DVD movie. That is more along their speed. That said, I am glad to see Stevie making a real effort to rebuild his career from the ground up. I was listening to an old Faith album a few days ago and I saw he had some writing credits on it. He was a real name in the business, and seems be working hard to make it mean something again. And as long as he throws a few projects at Joseline to keep her busy, he should be fine. Rasheeda/Kirk/Ashley/Erica? I'm so over Rasheeda and Kirk, because he is constantly making her look like a damn fool, and I don't feel sorry for her. Why? Because a man gets away with what you allow him to get away with. And it doesn't matter how long you've been married, or how many kids you got, continuing a relationship with a man like that makes you the dumb ass. He has made it clear he doesn't respect you, and it's going to make you crazy if you continue to be with him. I'd bet dollars to donuts that Kirk isn't even in the room with Ashley. And speaking of Ashley, could this broad get any MORE thirsty for some fame? She isn't in the least likable, not even cute, and has the absolute phoniest laugh I've ever heard. And Erica, do you not have anything else to do but to be Rasheeda's watchdog? I peeped all that shit you were talking about Scrappy too. The Asthmatic Prince of the South wasn't fat and ugly when he slid that ring on your finger two seasons ago, was he? Stop trying to latch yourself on someone else's story line.
  4. I'm guessing they didn't make it too far past the reunion… http://nypost.com/2015/06/15/married-at-first-sight-hubby-threatened-to-kill-me-bride/ Edit: just noticed someone else posted this…damn, I thought I had the exclusive LOL!
  5. I haven't watched this show since last mid-season, because I despise Natalie Nunn, and these so-called "therapists." However, I too was intrigued by Kendra's televangelist routine, so I tuned in LOL: The Situation and his GF: The lack of drugs/booze may attribute to the puffiness in his face (which was no prize before, I thought that was the obvious reason why he walked around shirtless all the time, but I think most of it is plain old age. Wasn't he pushing 30 when he was on JS? And that was close to 10 years ago (God, I'm old), so now almost 40. Admittedly, he seems to have washed off the scent of douchebag and is likable enough to watch. Aubrey and Manbun: Super mismatched, not only because he's short and white (Aubrey does love the chocolate ™ Tami LOL), but because he's a nobody. Aubrey is a class A attention whore, and being with him is going to get her absolutely no where. The clock is ticking on them. Tami and her NBA Man: I don't know him but DAMN my jaw dropped when he walked into the room. Brotha is FINE. Tami looks great too. Their situation is a sad reality of couples with such a dramatic age difference, and unfortunately, one of them will have to compromise if they want to stay together. I remember Tami from her RW days (seriously, I'M OOOOLDDD!!!), but I'm waiting for beer drinking-weave-pulling-Basketball Wives Tami to make an appearance. Only a matter of time, otherwise she wouldn't be on this show, LOL. Jeff and Jordan: I don't watch Big Brother so I don't know these two, were they drama filled on that show? Pretty vanilla couple, even they seemed to have a hard time explaining why they were there (other than the paycheck, obviously). Hank and Kendra: Sigh, I am so confused by these two. So Hank never actually came right out and admitted that he cheated with a transsexual? That flashback to their show shows him just dancing around the subject, and apparently that's all that's been happening. It was a low blow for those "therapists" to bring out her nut job mother too. It's sad because I was routing for these two when they got together and got married. From Kendra's account, Hank basically rescued her from a not so great situation being in the Playboy Mansion. I know people loved GND, but I'm sorry, those girls were nothing more than a glorified herum for Heffner, paid to keep up his image. Kendra herself said in her book that they received and an allowance and were kept under tight supervision, and were also required to sleep with Heffner once a week. Hank gave her some sort of normalcy and peace, IMO. This does not excuse what he allegedly did, but man…for the sake of their kids, I wish they would have worked through this more privately. Then again, what are either of them doing for money these days? Hank hasn't played football in years, and I still don't get what Kendra has done since GND and her reality show, so…money talks, I guess *shrug*
  6. This wedding SCREAMED new money, but I guess if VH1 was paying for my wedding, I'd have every tacky-ass blinged out item on my wish list checked off too. For JUST a minute, I thought Yandeecees was simply inviting the cameras along to watch an already planned wedding. But when she had that viewer vote on which dress she should wear (both of which looked like something out of "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding"), I realized that TPTB are the ones that planned it. Silly me. Highlights for me? The kids looked adorable, and I admittedly liked those centerpieces. I also liked Yandy's makeup. I adored K. Michelle's dress and she knocked that Leela James song out of the park. I also teared up a bit at Yandy's father walking her down the aisle. Very heartwarming considering everything he had been through. I also liked seeing Mama Jones there, basically saying she didn't give a rat's ass what her son Dirt Angel or his kept woman of leisure thought about Yandy. It was nonsense the ego-tripping way they left the show. When's YOUR wedding, Chrissy? Now on to the ratchetness: I don't' feel any type of way about Mandeecee's, but I freaking LOVED the way he checked Yandy about those 90K dollar (!!!!) flowers and said "You weren't born in the Hills, you know," when she was saying something about her friends knew refined taste and his didn't or something. My fiancé grew up in the same housing projects in Harlem as Yandy, and while he doesn't know her well, he had seen her around over the years, a lot of her extended family still lives there, and they know a lot of the same people. He actually knows the girl she went dress shopping with (Keisha), he apparently had a bit of a crush on her when they were teens LOL. Anyway, Yandy should be proud of her accomplishments in her career, but her acting like she grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth and being so above it all is a little ridiculous. Mandeecees kind of strikes me as having the Joe Guidice syndrome, where he doesn't pretend to be something he's not just because the cameras are on. I'm glad that they didn't just gloss over this pending court case. It's a real serious situation, and I think Yandy kind of has her head in the sand about the whole thing, which is why I was SMHing at her saying she wants to have two more kids within the year. Are you completely okay with raising the Brady Bunch by yourself, Yandy? Your husband is GOING TO PRISON. The only questionable thing is for how long. For his children's sake, I hope it's the minimum, but he's going. I hope she is prepared to deal with that. Onto the guests…I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the glaring irony of the three most dysfunctional couples on the L&HH franchise doling out marriage advice. Didn't Stevie and Joseline get into a twitter war over her alleged cheating JUST last week? And I half expected Ray-J to whip off his glasses during his respect speech, so the world could see the fear in his eyes and stage an intervention. That girl must have done a number on him. And Kandi…girl…you probably were one of the wealthiest people in that room, and yet you still can't afford a stylist to dress you appropriately. WTF was up with the fully visible nude Spanx under her illusion mesh dress? You could have at least done a red slip a nude slip with straps or something underneath. Sheeshes. But I do admire your business hustle, apparently that Bedroom Kandi is great for any event! I can't with that ridiculously oversized bridal party, so I just won't. Hopefully this is the last we will here from both of them for awhile. At least until Mandeecees is arraigned.
  7. 1000% agree with this. I can't with Mimi running to him for every other thing, but they do talk to each other with a level of respect, a real change from earlier seasons. That level is definitely not the same with Joseline, but she doesn't show him any type of respect either, so there's that LOL.
  8. ZaldamoWilder, your ENTIRE post gave me life, I can't stop laughing! I admittedly love Margeaux's style and her cheekbones are to die for. But clearly she is not the brightest bulb in the box, because I can't name one redeeming quality in Nikko (in personality and definitely not in looks), that would lead her into marrying him. And girl, you let this toad find you an apartment in the same building?! Why do these women let this creeps control every aspect of their lives?! Can someone explain to me how Tony and Kaleena can afford that giant mansion? I know the cost of living in Georgia is lower than say the northeast, but REALLY?! Wait, don't bother to explain, because it was clear that they didn't live in it. It looked like a sample home. Frontin asses. If they truly DO have $70k saved up, the dumbest thing in the world to sink it into the very shaky real estate market, especially with 50-11 kids and a new baby. And sure honey, let's discuss our crushing finance issues while I'm IN LABOR. Ugh. I do forget how young Joseline is, she's not even 30, right? I get that she doesn't want to stop getting her party on. But girl, marriage=teamwork, and if your husband has an addiction problem, so do you. And an addict is not going to recover if they are constantly around the substance they are addicted to. That's like sending an alcoholic to work in a liquor store. So in order to help your husband, you have to make the sacrifice, which IMO isn't asking for much, unless you too have a problem, which you allegedly do. That dark cherry lipstick she was wearing for their visit was to die for, though! That whole scene with Joc and KD had me dying, because it was so staged. Homegirl could barely hold back that smile, and wasn't aiming for him at all with that belt. I really question a lot of these so called "professional" women that appear on shows like this. Particularly a job like KD's, a real estate broker, which is a job of the people. Would you really want to purchase a home from a person who is prancing around in a fishnet onesie and throwing Henessey at their cheating has been boyfriend on national television? What you do in your personal life is your business, but you are putting your personal life out for the world to see, and it's messy. She's got a cute naturally curvy body though. I watched the live after party, Joc was on it, and some comedian went in on KD, calling her fat, Miss Piggy, etc. And he looked genuinely pissed off, and I don't blame him. A girl with naturally full breasts and butt is fat, but someone with exaggerated and obviously fake body parts (I'm looking at you Jessica Dyme and YOU TOO Karlie), is attractive? Speaking of Karlie, other than her whole diatribe of her having a successful million dollar business since she was 15 (really, girl?), I do agree with her about the whole thing with the store and Erica. Don't talk about it, be about it, and if you can't be about it, don't expect me to wait around until you can be about it. Rasheeda clearly is jealous that she beat her to having a brick and mortar store. And Rasheeda, you're not too far behind Karlie in the age department, so I wouldn't pull that card. Getting older isn't easy, but I truly believe it's a blessing. Like Momma Dee said on the after party, "I'm 51, and I just buried someone who was 20." Be grateful. Like Zaldamo said, it's cut and dry in writing whether you are paying child support or not, there are no questions. And if you are doing it off the books (which is the dumbest thing in the world IMO, and this is the exact reason why), then you better have receipts on top of receipts. I really can't wait to see how this nonsense plays out between Scrappy and Erica.
  9. So I'm all caught up on this season thus far, and I'm happy to see that it is as ratchet and phony as ever LOL. Here are my thoughts thus far: Mimi: Still dumb as ever, with her whisper talk and overly made up eyebrows. I love how she claims she doesn't need anyone, but is quick to call her attack dog (Stevie) when she's having an issue, like with what happened with Nikko. And she totally still has feelings for Stevie. I kind of get it, just because she was with him for so long, but seriously, unless it's about Eva, there's no reason for you two to communicate. But you're going to start a management company together? Whatevs. She made herself look like a damn fool screeching at Joseline at their little meeting, and is totally more bark than bite. I totally agree with what J said, you can't talk shit left and right about someone and not expect some consequences to come your way. The funny thing is that I have yet to see her get all up in Joseline's face like she's done with everyone else she's had an argument with. She knows Joseline would rip her face off. She had me howling with that Carol Brady wig comment though. Stevie J: I don't know how much of this story line with the drugs is really, but I hope he is getting help if it is, for his kids more than anything. The scene of him and his daughter absolutely broke my heart. I know that these reality shows are about 10% reality, but kids that young cannot fake those type of tears. It honestly makes me a little angry, because they don't sign up for this nonsense. Joseline: I have a soft spot for the Puerto Rican Princess, I'm not gonna lie. I think she knows she's tacky as hell, and owns it, but at the same time is trying to redeem herself. And I think it is absolutely hilarious that she was the topic of conversation all throughout the first episode, and she never even appeared. If that's not proof of her power, I don't know what is. I truly am rooting for some sort of success for her, and for her and Stevie to make it as a couple. Erica/Scrappy/Mama Dee: Erica, you are completely and totally entitled to child support, but girl…that's gonna be like trying to squeeze blood from a turnip. You know full well that Scrappy ain't got no money. Dude hasn't had a hit since "You Ain't Got No Problems," and that was barely a hit. Stop wasting your coins by taking him to court. You SEEM to be doing okay financially, way better than he has ever been since I've been watching this show. So just let him have his time with his daughter, and be the primary parent, like you've always been. There's no point in doing a runtelldat to Mama Dee either. It's clear in her eyes that her son can do no wrong. I can't even get into it with Mama Dee's ex husbands ex convict whatever stuff. It was so confusing. I know she said that wasn't Scrappy's father, but if he was raised in the house with all that craziness, Scrappy never had a chance. Jessica Dyme: Is she trying to be Joseline 2.0 or something? Just once, I would LOVE to see a story line where these women quit stripping because they want to go to school to be a doctor, or a lawyer, or a scientist, or something other than ANOTHER no talent rapper. Over it. And I'm sorry, every time I look I at her with the pink hair and giant ass, I think of Pinky the porn star. Pretty sure Pinky's ass is real though. Joc/Various Women: I would be able to be more snarky about Joc and his jock (see what I did there?) if I didn't know a ridiculous about of men and women who are in this exact same situation. Bitching and fighting over a no-count snake that is slithering inside of everything that moves, claiming they want to "keep their families together." They look damn foolish, especially that old looking Sena (???) chick. Honestly, KD doesn't even seem that into Joc. She seems to know her role as a sugar mama and be okay with it. We'll see. Karlie Redd: Messy, thy name is Karlie. I saw "Top Five" and her vulgar ass sex scene with Cedric the Entertainer (disappointed in him for signing up for that shit show). I don't give a damn how old she is, doesn't she have a teenage daughter? Actually I do care how old she is, because at her age (which is clearly late 30s at the very youngest), she should know better. Is that the example you want to set for your daughter? Between her nonsense, and Mimi and her sex tape, just…God, when did mothers stop caring about being someone their kids can look up to? Moms should own their sexiness, but ugh. The one thing I will agree with her on is the boutique (like we need another Rainbow/Pretty Girl/Easy Pickins type store, but hey, I'm not gonna act like I don't enjoy shopping cheap LOL) with Erica. If you are truly about your business, than make it happen, don't just talk about it. All it says to me is that Erica knows her Class6 fashion nonsense was just that, nonsense. Rasheeda/Kirk: I can't with these two. I really can't. Rasheeda, this man has disrespected you and your marriage in every possible way, and now he is messing with your finances. What is it gonna take for you to just call it a wash and move on with your life? It's just painful to watch and I find nothing entertaining about it. Wasn't Kirk a doting husband in the first season? What the hell happened?
  10. Man, I really feel for Erik, what a sad story. I agree with whomever said that his Sister Mother took up orders because she didn't want to face the world as a sober person. Addicts are incredibly selfish and the only focus is to acquire whatever it is they are feening for (alcohol, drugs, etc), no matter the casualties, including their own children. It's a shame he married such a self absorbed and stuck up bitch, though I will give credit where credit is due; she seemed very empathetic to him. And admittedly, I felt for her a little when she was crying about her mother. I lost mine a few years ago, and Mother's Day is tough, as is being pregnant for the first time and not having your mom to call or talk to. Hopefully she didn't make it "all about her" while they were together on the day. Okay, I'll say it , I friggin love Toi and Ravaughn. These are two people who clearly have learned from their previous marriages and are applying the lessons to their marriage. I truly believe they are in it for the long run. And Toi is so naturally beautiful. Her makeup palate could stand to be updated, but I wouldn't expect a dramatic change like that from a woman over 40. She pulls it off well enough, and It's not like she's wearing turquoise eyeshadow and frosted lipstick LOL. Laura and Kirk are another couple that grew on me. A miscarriage is a terrible thing to go through, and it's nice that they are so supportive and kept themselves busy to keep their mind off of it. I hope she gets pregnant quickly, and judging by the previews, it looks like she does :-) Sam and Laura…ugh, I don't know what to say about these two. Whomever said that this was a college fling that went WAAAAY past its expiration date is spot on. They barely seem to like each other. And maybe I missed this from the last episode, but why AREN'T they living in LA? One of the perks about being a freelancer is that you can work from ANYWHERE, and according to Laura, she's contributed mostly to blogs and magazines, so wouldn't Laura be able to do just that from LA too? Methinks she probably had some Carrie Bradshaw-type fantasy of freelance writing while flitting around Manhattan in designer shoes and having a rich partner (looking at you, Sam). I hope to God these two don't procreate and they split as civilly as possible. It just isn't a healthy relationship.
  11. "Bitch, your daughter's an extra!" I died. DIED, I tell you! I believe you don't come for someone's kids, but dammit if Jhonni wasn't accurate about Diamond and her "puppy." And Mama Strawberry can exit stage left too. I laughed out loud at the collective eye roll amongst the cast as Erica was making her exit speech. And all of her moments were as cringeworthy as they were the first time around. She's a stunningly beautiful girl, but the past five seasons have done absolutely nothing for that god awful personality of hers. Do better, Mena. Hopefully marriage and a family unit will mellow you out. Thank God the Peter/Tara/Amina love triangle seems to be dead and buried. I still want to boop Tara in the head for lamenting over this loser, but I can give her a small pass, she was with the guy for 13 years. That's a long time to forget. I felt bad for Amina, because Peter is still clearly not sorry about everything what went down. I hope she truly sticks to her guns and moves on with her life, and realize she is much better off without him. Some men are just better off being the eternal bachelors. I was also saddened to know (if what Peter says is true) that Amina's former manager is just as much of a creep as the rest of them. Telling a woman that her baby should have been his, while engaged to another woman? Really? I'm guessing we're grooming the next new cast member as we speak. The Yandy/Remi nonsense made no sense then and it makes no sense now. I am now completely convinced that it was staged, and they were making excuses since Instagram caught them out there. I know Kimbella is not and probably won't be a regular cast member, but girl, it's time to change up your look a bit. Tone down the makeup, darken the hair, and toss out all of those extra tight dresses you clearly do not fit in anymore. You can be a sexy as hell mom of two (three? I can't remember how many kids she has), without looking like a blonde sausage. And Yandy, you can have your wedding extravaganza live on TV, but unless I see a signed marriage license issued by the City of New York, I refuse to believe that you are legally tying yourself to this fool. You are smarter than that. WHY THE HELL WAS RASHIDAH SITTING ON STAGE?! She was on the show for like two collective minutes and all she did was stir the pot. When is her show starting?!
  12. announcer girl, I think you're right. Considering the timeline of the show, Rich was probably dating Erica at the same time he was smashing Jhonni, and she's didn't take too well to being the side chick while "Meana" was trotted out for the world to see as his semi-woman. Admittedly Diamond did look pretty, but I agree with OnceSane, her Dad's past drug issues are old news. There are soooo many other things they could have snarked on LOL. I forgot about Chrissy and C****! I was sad when she said they were in limbo. Cut your losses Chrissy and move on. This dude is never going to move forward with you, so stop wasting your time. Save the balancing act for the young girls who don't know any better.
  13. First time commenter on this show. I'm finally caught up on all of the episodes, and I feel like I have a fair gauge on the couples. This season of couples are waaaaaay more tolerable than last season's. That might equate to boring, but I'd rather be slightly distracted than wanting to chuck my TV out the window in anger, LOL! Erik and Nadine: I laugh because all soon to be parents say the same thing, myself included: "I'm going to put them on the right sleeping schedule, I'm going to running things, we got this, it won't be so hard, etc" and of course the obligatory "baby sitting my friend's child" scene. You really don't have any idea what is going to happen until the baby is born, and even then there is only so much planning you can do. They'll be like any other parents and take it one day at a time, and I honestly think they'll be good at it. Erik because he's so desperate for a family, and Nadine because she's so neurotic she'll be working for perfection all of the time. Can I say how much I couldn't stand Nadine's brother though? What an asshole. Laura and Kirk: I could have done without Kirk's constant mention of his "Super Sperm" every scene, ugh. He's very immature, sort of like a Juicehead grown up type deal. He also strikes me as a man on board with having a baby because it's what his wife wants, not necessarily what he wants. But I think Laura is aware of that and is fine with it, and will be fine with being the primary caretaker of the baby. I am sad for them, if they indeed miscarried. I don't wish that on anyone :-(. Sam and Laura: Something rubs me the wrong way about these two. I don't know what it is, they just don't strike me as a couple that is in it for the long run. Maybe because they are the youngest couple…I don't know. I hope they don't spend money on insemination. For that much money it should be reserved for people that are TOTALLY SURE and are on the same page about having kids. Didn't any of these couples discuss kids before they got married? Toi and Ravaughn: *whispers* perpetual late person here. I know it's bad, and I have no excuses, but I will say for something as important as a flight or a graduation, I plan a large chunk of time for any issues. I'm generally late for small stuff like meeting for coffee or something, and usually it's no more than 15 minutes. I'm working on it, promise :-). That said, I don't blame Ravaughn for being annoyed, but I don't think it's a deal breaker. I think they are in it for the long run, and considering the relationship he has with her son, I don't think he's going anywhere. I like this couple because they seemed to have learned from their previous marriages and are trying to do better this time around. Seeing Toi's oldest son and the way he acted (what a tool, sheesh), it's obvious there's more to the story as to why their relationship is strained. I too noticed the teardrop tattoo, which I've only seen on people who have done time. I sense some sort of drug issues there too, and he was just such a jerk during that dinner. Kudos to Ravaughn for not feeding into it, or punching him out. At least she did okay with son # 2, graduating from Howard is quite an accomplishment. He may want to be in the music business, but at least he sees there is more to it than just playing on the street while people throw coins in a hat, and he has a college degree to fall back on.
  14. Erica, I tried to like you. I really did. But you really showed your ass last night. She was beyond nasty, and the fact that her interview was pre taped showed that she was too cowardly to face the people she is so above and beyond. That said, I can't say I blame her, because apparently EVERYONE on that stage (except Amina I'm assuming) want to drop kick her. And Erica strikes me as someone who is more bark than bite. I'm not sure why Jhonni has issues with her, but I wouldn't want to come face to rutabaga (that cracks me up LOL) with that psycho. She truly seems certifiable. Speaking of Jhonni, my head spun listening to her, because she was making absolutely no sense. Between the rapid talk and the bleeping of the curses…so she admitted to the sex tape, that she posted pics of Rich and "Mini Rich" all over social media, that he makes her angry and she doesn't approve of the things he does, but…she loves him? She is just irrationally angry. And spare me the whole "I had a rough upbringing" crap, I know people who have been through hell and back and they don't act like that. I don't know if anyone here watches Black Ink Crew, but I also noticed her at Dutchess and Ceasar's engagement party. I hope to God that it isn't a sedge way of her being a reality show regular. She's just too much. I like Precious Paris, but I'm gonna need her to either buy a better bra or cover up just a bit. I'm so over these chicks with their tits hanging out all the damn time. Leave something to the imagination. I really, REALLY miss the Queen Latifah/Monie Love/MC Lyte type female rappers, whose talent spoke for themselves. And Rich was spouting bullshit as usual, and in my mind, confirmed that he never slept with her. Apparently, only the "artists" that gets his dipstick in an orifice are blessed with gigs and promo. She made the right choice by dumping his ass as a manager. Diamond is another one I will not miss, and I hope this is the last time we see her. Isn't there a confessional where she admitted that she led Cisco to believe that her daughter was a dog? I mean, how else would he even assume that? I can't ever back her for that reason, and why I've been disgusted with her the whole season. There are ton of single parents in the world with healthy dating lives and I have yet to come across one who will pretend their child is a pet. And what is the point of having their mothers up there with them? I think it is so ridiculous for parents to be involved in their GROWN children's love lives. After a certain age, detach the tit and let them figure their own shit out.
  15. RE: Mandeecees teeth: I'd bet anything that they're veneers. They have that ultra white, Chiclet look about them, so I really doubt he was born with them. I hate to use his son as an example, because he is an adorable little boy, but his teeth are all spaced out (which I'm sure will be fixed with braces when he gets a bit older). And teeth issues are usually hereditary, so I'm guessing Daddy Mandeecees had similar issues with his teeth growing up. Thanks for sharing your experiences, ladies! Maybe it's because I'm not a makeup girl, or maybe it was because my labor progressed fairly quickly, I just can't imagine getting all done up to go to the hospital to give birth. I agree with SistaLadyBug, I wish I had thought of getting done up for the after pictures, LOL! I didn't want to go there with Tasha's hair and makeup LOL, but Laaaaawd…you can tell she's not on Mona's payroll, that weave looked like it was gonna fly clean off during her screaming match with Cisco. No professional hair/MUA getting her ready for this totally-not-staged meeting. I'm hoping she changed her mind about Cisco seeing the kids too. He was dead wrong for doing what he did, but you're linked with him for life, so you might as well find some way to get along with him, for the kids' sake at least.
  16. Welp, so ends another season of lukewarm ratchet TV. Whatever will I do with my Monday nights ;-)? They wrapped up Jhonni's story fairly early, didn't they? It's a shame because she is really talented. She's a great singer and apparently plays several instruments. That type of raw talent being pushed to the forefront is rare these days, and with the right management she could have been moderately successful. Too bad she bought into the snake oil from Rich, and I don't know if she can bounce back and be taken seriously after the image she put forth on this show. Conversely, I LOVED Precious cutting loose Rich as a manager. I could not believe how standoffish he was about her demands of him. Like it was crazy talk that she was asking him to fulfill his obligations AS A MANAGER. I mean, why the hell am I giving you 10% of my earnings if you aren't doing jack shit for me? That makes me temperamental? Nah boo, that makes me career focused. I can't gage her as a rapper, because I don't know enough about rap music today to deem what is considered good. But she seems to be a hustler, so I wish her much success. Oh Diamond. Your acting skills and poor attempt to muster up some tears during your talk with both your dad and Cisco was comical to watch. That being said, it's nice that her and Cisco closed out their messy relationship maturely. And I agree with whomever said who was that Creole child at the end of the montage with her. I refuse to believe that was the same child as early in the season! I was cheering for Chrissy and the way she shut down that loser C****. Him and his constantly licking of the lips and the corner of his mouth (dude, LL Cool J barely gets away with it at this point, and at least he's hot with a successful career to speak of). Talking like he was doing her a favor by showing her any love, because his love is ALL wrapped up already. FOH. She can do better, and I hope her and her crazy blonde wigs grace my TV again! I was shocked that Amina turned down Peter's ring. I really, truly hope that she leaves him behind and focuses on co-parenting and her music, and maybe rekindle a romance with her former manager. And I didn't come out of this episode hating Peter. I honestly think he's just as over the marriage as her at this point, and was saving a bit of face. And thankfully he was mature enough to not get mad at her spending time with her ex manager/boyfriend. Finally, Cisco and his baby mama…I hate to admit it, but I kind of side with him on this. Mainly because I hate women who use their children whether it's by withholding them or other reasons. Because at the end of the day, unless the father is an abuser or pedophile or something, you are doing your children a great disservice by robbing them of a relationship with their father. And what else does she want from him? He apologized his actions, acknowledged his wrongs, and wants to move forward. Maybe I'm too forgiving, but I also don't have the energy to hold a grudge. I hope for the kids' sake they work out some sort of civil relationship. No words on Yandy that hasn't already been said, other than I refuse to believe that the birth scene was real, or at the very least in real time. Did any other mothers in here go into giving birth in full hair and makeup?! Just wondering. No Erica again, but judging by the few scenes from the reunion and her being separated from the rest of the cast, it sounds like the rumors I heard were true. Can't wait!
  17. I know at least 90% of this show is staged, but I honestly get a real vibe from Jhonni. I don't think all of her issues are staged, and she is clearly not playing with a full deck. I am of that school that you are supposed to learn from the hard times in your life and not let them define you, but her boyfriend getting killed in front of her? That's enough to push someone close to the edge, if not over it. With that said, Rich better watch it, with all of this mindfucking he does with these emotionally unstable women. You wanna be a player, go ahead and play on, but own it, and make it clear from jump. Don't make these women you're messing around think that they are the one and only. One of these days he's going to break the heart of the wrong one, and he's going to wake up the next morning with his penis lopped off and laying next to him in the bed with a "go fuck yourself" note pinned to it. I'm calling it now. I laughed out loud and Yandy's commitment ceremony nonsense, and Judy's reaction to it. "Well why don't y'all just get married if you gonna do all that?!" Do you know what a pain in the ass it is to get your name changed in NYC without valid cause, such as a legally binding contract like a marriage license? It truly would be easier to get married. But the key words here are "legally binding," and proof that Yandy isn't as much of a dodo head as she seems to be when it comes to Mendecees. She knows that this court case is pending, and there is a chance he may be going down for a loooong time, and I doubt she will want to "wait" the next 20 years for him to get out of prison. So why marry the guy? It will be even harder to divorce him then. She obviously won't say that on camera or to his mother though, so go ahead and use that "white wedding" excuse, girl. I really didn't think I was going to like Chrissy when she first got on this show, but she has really become my favorite. I think she sees right through C****'s bullshit, has come to the realization that she probably has been his side chick for quite some time, and is moving on. And thank God, because she's really too old to be hanging on to some man who refuses to commit. And I agree with someone said above, I half expected C**** to cross his arms across his chest and pout like my three year old. "Imma grown ass man, and I ain't movin'!" *sticks out tongue* If I were Chrissy let him sulk his ass right back to DC, enjoy the fruits of my labor (pimping, running escort service, whatever she retired from), and embrace being a single woman of a particular age. Maybe pick up a companion once and a while but that's it. Amina, I said it before and I'll say it again…the chances of a 50+ year old man changing his ways are slim to none. He can buy you an expensive ring, a fur coat, a new car, and make you promises until he's blue in the face…his track record speaks otherwise. I really hope she sticks to her guns, or not stick to her Gunz (ha, see what I did there?) and just calls it quits on this sham marriage. Focus on being a mom, and her music, and hopefully find someone who truly loves and appreciates her. Maybe rekindle something with her absolutely gorgeous former manager. Seriously girl, you went from that to Stanky Pankey? C'mon, son. I knew from the previews from last week when Cyn said to Cisco, "Um that's flattering, thank you" the way that she did, that she was gonna shut him down. That phrase is classic girlspeak for deflecting a compliment from a guy you aren't into. Considering how Cisco has reacted to rejection in the past, I thought he was gonna throw something, but he took it fairly gracefully. And add me to the list of women who find him attractive too. I have a thing for chunky Latino men ;-) Not too many scenes with Erica again. I don't know how true this is,
  18. Admittedly, I like her too. I cook at least 6 days a week, but it's not really my favorite thing to do, so using some of her simple recipes works well enough for my simple-palate family. There are clearly better shows to watch if you want to REALLY chef it out, and none of them are own the Food Network, IMO. I agree you have to go to PBS for that. I also like the shots of the countryside and what they've done to the Building. I think Ree is enjoyable if you don't take her or her whole "accidental country girl" schpiel too seriously. She's honestly a classic study of social media branding…you only put forth the image you want to sell to the world. I'm sure she has her problems like the rest of us, but who wants to hear about that? Most people only want to put forward the best parts of their life online, and she just happened to be able to sell that image successfully. That's why I've never understood the blind hatred toward her. I get the snark, but there are a few bloggers, including one that shall remain nameless (mostly because I'm afraid of her, LOL) who are downright vicious and attack EVERYTHING about her. Part of the reason is because I think she is epitome of a successful career blogger, and what other people who are trying to make a living from their blog strive for. It's kind of insane. Anyway, she's currently background sound for me while I clean the house, so I felt compelled to share, and to take a break from dusting, LOL.
  19. Thanks for the info. I can give her a pass if she spends most of her time in FL, and she is contractually obligated to come up here to film the show. As I've said before, I'm not a Mena fan, but I am a sucker for love and she is seemingly coming out of this season as the most stable one. I do hope this thing with her and Bow Wow is the real deal, she's stacked her coins and focuses less on reality TV and being a club staple, and on more on just being home with new husband, her son and her stepdaughter. I forgot about the whole fight with Yandy and Mendecees. She annoyed me in last week's episode, but I was on her side this time. I'm at a work event and you're going to tell me my child is in the emergency room to "get my attention?" What the actual fuck?! That was extremely immature and I would have lunged at him myself if I was her. She held down everything while he was locked up, including taking care of his son whom she is not even blood related to. So HELL YES I expect you to step up a little when you get home. That's why I find this whole custody thing that he's trying to pull suspect. Maybe he wants full custody as long as Yandy does the brunt of the work. SMH.
  20. I'm here too guys, slide on over, I have popcorn :-) Good to know I'm not the only one keeping this show on the air, though it seemed to drag last night. Admittedly Amina looked gorgeous last night while singing her song, and I do think she is very talented. The group she was in with her sisters (Black Buddafly) had some hits back in the day, if you like Neo Soul, you would enjoy them. It's a shame that this is the platform she is choosing to restart her music career, because I think she would be able to make a decent living singing in small acoustic venues like the Poet's Cafe. With that said, I want to slap her hard enough to rattle some sense into her brain, shove a one way ticket to Germany in her hand and push her on a plane. I am frankly tired of feeling sorry for her. Your scum ball of a husband is a proven liar and cheater, told you he doesn't care that you take his newborn daughter to another country, and we're STILL at "well I don't know where this leaves us?" Really?! Grow some balls girl, if not for you than for little Cori. Sheeshes. And still NOPE at Tara. Do like Elsa and let it go. If anything you should be basking in the glow of karma that is happening. Screeching at a restaurant at your husband's mistress-turned-wife that he is already cheated on is not the business. Rich Dollaz, Gunz and Cisco sitting at the restaurant…I've never seen men more proud to be sleaze balls. It honestly turned my stomach. Are there any men on this forum? Do men really toast each other for being unfaithful to their women? And I can't with Rich and his constant sloring around with his "artists." I refuse to believe he has a legitimate career, especially he is now sitting in a jail for unpaid child support. RE-FUSE. I hate to admit it, but I actually like Chrissy. God bless her, and a woman her age posing ass up in an "urban model" magazine. I hope to have that kind of confidence at 50+. I have a question, and maybe I just don't get it because I haven't been in the situation but…what is with these young women leaving their kids behind with family while they traipse around NYC (Mena and Strawberry)? Erica, if you don't want to raise your son in NY, why move there? And you seemingly have a nice apartment, if it's really yours (a giant nude portrait of yourself hanging on the wall, a home does not make LOL), why can't your son stay with you? Same thing with Cubic Zirconia Strawberry, whose whole purpose of coming to NY was to follow around Crisco, but now that plan has been shot to hell. What the hell are you still doing there then? Go back to LA and parent your kid! You can be a model there too, if that's what you choose. I know different strokes for different folks, but I can't imagine leaving behind my 3 year old for months at a time to chase some pipe dream of hosting parties and getting "turnt up" at clubs for a few hundred dollars. It's my belief that when you have children, that stuff gets put to the side. Maybe I'm wrong for that, but grow up ladies. A trip to the zoo and cooing "I love you" on camera doesn't make you a parent. Sorry.
  21. I swear we could just rewind back to season 2 or whenever it was when Yandy appeared for the first time, and Chrissy 1.0 was singing the same tune about her being and acting "unprofessional" with Dirt Angel and accusing her of being thirsty for fame. Even the similar line of "I'm his fiancé so I have an influence on his decisions, I'm technically your boss too." And like Yandy, this girl Remy has been in the picture for several years (someone on one of the gossip blogs posted pictures from Remy's Instagram of the 3 of them from a number of years ago, and Remy claims she met Mendecees through Yandy). She really isn't someone who just appeared out of nowhere, like someone's so called personal trainer cousin, posting ass shots of his "family" on social media *side eye to Yandy* It's a shame because despite Yandy's questionable taste in men, she is educated and business oriented and seemed to be about mentoring young girls, not tearing at them. She's coming across as an insecure wife who is jealous of her husband's younger, cuter secretary. And now with the previews and seemingly fighting while 7+ months pregnant? Your hood roots are showing Yandy, careful. I'm not sure what Amina was trying to accomplish by telling Tara all of that stuff about Peter, whether it's true or not. Like someone said above, if it is true (which it probably is, given Stanky Pankey's track record), it honestly makes her look like the bigger fool by marrying him. And Tara needs more people too. Didn't she say last season that she found out Peter had been cheating on her while they were together, and they had tried to work through it before? Why is this such a shock now? Ugh, this dude has got to have STDs crawling out of his ears, talking about his addiction is women. There is absolutely nothing appealing about him, and the final nail "this guy is an asshole" coffin is him telling Amina to make sure she signs divorce papers before she packs up their daughter and moves back to Germany. If that isn't proof positive that he doesn't and never has given a shit about her (or his newborn daughter apparently whom he might never see again) beyond a booty call, then I don't know what it would take. And yet I know she won't file for divorce. He'll have to do it, or just disappear all together, change his number, and not come back. Some women in abusive relationships… it takes for the abuser to walk out on the abused. For the abuser to force them to move on. It's another sick form of control, and they know it. I can completely see that happening here. I 100% believe that this is an abusive relationship (abuse isn't always physical) and Amina knows it, but she won't leave him. And that makes me sad for her. I still can't get the feels for Crisco, not even during that scene at the cemetery. He's such a phony. I kinda loved how Diamond owned him with those text messages, but again, it makes her look more stupid for sticking around with him after she found them, and it was abundantly clear that he was cheating on her. Still can't get the feels for Rich and his hood rat harum either. I'm over him and I can't stand women who use the "I have a bad temper and I ride for the people I love" as an excuse to fight anyone who looks at them cross-eyed. And for the love of God, do ANY of these people have real jobs? It's fine if you want to chase a dream, music or whatever, but can we show someone working in an office, or bartending, or waitressing, or doing SOMETHING to pay for all this damn studio time? NYC is too damn expensive to put up the front that the only thing that is bringing in money is your damn music "career." It's a sad day when Erica Mena is seemingly going to be coming out of this season as the most stable one. Mind you, I still don't buy that her and Bow Wow are "just now" exploring a relationship (that whole "we had sex for the first time and it was amazing" stuff. You mean when you had sex for the first time 7-8 years ago when you first met?) But I have to admit, she looks genuinely happy and calm, and it's nice to have one person not fighting and screaming on this show. Still skeptical about their relationship, and I still think they are going to get at the very least a wedding special out of this. But I'm a sucker for love, so I hope it's the real deal.
  22. I've been watching Shameless since for three seasons now, and this is the first time I actually cried real tears during an episode. Agreed that Noel Fisher owned this episode. From the defeated look on the car ride to pick up Ian, to the embrace as Ian checked into the psych ward…the subtleness of each scene broke my heart. If he doesn't get an Emmy after this season, I don't know what it will take. I was on the edge of my seat with the scenes with Ian and the baby too, especially when he left the baby in the car to pick up a John. With all the cases of babies and kids being left to die in the hot sun that hit the headlines last summer, I was terrified that they were going to try and mirror that. Thank God they didn't. My heart broke for Ian with that scene in the store with the cops. My husband's upbringing was eerily similar to things that have happened to the Gallaghers with their parents (though he was lucky because he had grandparents, aunts and uncles to look after him and his sister when their parents disappeared), and he said it reminded him of several manic episodes his own mother had before she passed away. I imagine it's tough thing to experience and to handle. This is the first episode that I kind of liked Sammi, if only because she is attempting to provide some sort of stability to the Gallagher clan while Fiona has been pretty much MIA. Did anyone get the vibe that she was literally trying to kill Frank by not giving him his medicine, or was it just punishment for blowing through the insurance money? Frank is useless, but hasn't he always been? I think he's really just a launching pad for the other characters. I know people say he should just disappear all together, but his behavior reminds us why the Gallaghers are the way that they are. As long as his scenes are limited, I don't mind him being around. I'm hoping that this isn't going to be another season of "WTF Fiona?!" You're gone so much that you don't even know what grade your little sister is starting? The sister you fought so hard to be guardian of, along with your other siblings? I get that they're older and they don't need as much supervision, but shit, you still have to be present, especially with teenagers! And she almost killed Liam last year, you'd think she'd be spending more time with him. Why does Lip, who's away at college, have to keep coming down to fix everything? And now this Stimmy storyline, who I couldn't stand from jump, if only because of these elaborate lies. Someone said upthread said that Fiona was at her most stable when she was with him, but I see it as less having to do with him, and more about circumstance. And how the hell can you trust someone who disappears without warning or explanation, TWICE?! And then to continue to pursue her after her saying she was married. And ON TOP of that, he STILL has not be totally honest with her about what he's been doing. You can say "I love you" until you are blue in the face, you need more people. We don't know much about Gus yet, but he seems to be a better match for her. Not only is he friggin gorgeous, but he treats her with gentility and kindness. The last scene with him rolling over and making slow love to her when she climbed into bed(while she's crying tears of regret) versus Stimmy basically throwing her down and fucking her on the floor like an animal was a great contrast on how she is being treated by each man. I also like that he's a musician but not a stereotypical "we're a bunch of bros playing in a bar" TV musician. I remember last episode he said he was working on a jingle for some commercial, and was doing background music for a singer. These are legit ways for musicians to make money, AKA you can actually PINPOINT what he does for a living. Can't say that about Stimmy, who tried to pawn Gus with his "oh, a musician huh, that's stable?" with his con artist ass. And in the short time Gus has been in the picture, he has done his best to be there for her, even from the first moment he met her and pretended to be her boyfriend to spare her the humiliation his bandmate put her through. I hope she realizes that Gus is a better match and Stimmy hits the road, but in true Fiona and Shameless fashion, she'll fuck it up and ruin the little stability she has. I feel bad for Kev and Vee, only because me and my husband went through a similar situation when our son was born. He seemed to take to fatherhood like a fish to water, while I struggled with baby blues and an overall feeling of being overwhelmed. It is a hard adjustment to go from being catered to hand and foot while you're pregnant (and before too, because it's just the two of you) to really being put to fourth place in the household. I don't regret being a parent of course, but those early days were tough, and you feel alone and ignored. I think that's what Vee is experiencing. I hate that they seemed to only make it about sex though, it goes so much deeper than that. It takes real effort on both spouse's parts to make sure everyone's needs are met, both the baby's and each other's. Making Kev sleep with another woman was stupid and wasn't going to resolve the problem or "even the score," I hate when people say that shit. Two wrongs don't make a right. I hope they work it out, because I really do enjoy them as a couple. Sidebar: I like Steve Howey with longer hair. The shaven head reminds me of the goofy character Van he played on "Reba" and I just can't take the slightly edgier character of Kev seriously LOL!
  23. All jokes aside, that meeting between the Pankey/Wallace clan was sad. I know I shouldn't feel sorry for Amina, because she keeps tolerating this mess, but I do. It was going to be awkward regardless, but to literally not be acknowledged in any, way, shape or form…I felt second hand embarrassment for her. Peter could have least referred to her as "Daddy's new friend" or SOMETHING. But it was it was like she wasn't even sitting there. Peter is disgusting, and shame on both of these women for dealing with it. Oh and PS Tara, giving a baby stank face is ridiculous. That child did not ask to be born into this mess, and neither did your boys. Either slap on a smile for their sake, or send the boys by themselves. I can't stand her self-righteous ass. Kim was mildly entertaining, the way she kept going on about her suit kept me chuckling. I could do without Mama Mandecees though. She's clearly one of those people who demand blind loyalty despite all of their wrongdoings. Good luck marrying into that mess, Yandy. The fakery of that scene with Yandy sitting on the park bench in stilettos reading a hardcover book (really?!) actually made me laugh out loud. If that wasn't an acknowledgement to how scripted and fake this whole show is, I don't what is. And yet I still watch SMH. With C****/Chrissy, isn't a little ridiculous for a 40+ man to be concerned about what his family thinks of the new woman he's in a relationship with, particularly when he lives in another state? And isn't it a little ridiculous that said family is hellbent on not liking the new woman solely because it's not who they are familiar with? Especially since the 40+ man has supposedly been separated for awhile? Makes me think that there's more to the story (as usual), like maybe Chrissy and C**** were messing around long before he was separated. And Chrissy, for the love of God, stay away from those long ratty wigs! She looks so much better and not as old in her talking heads, with the short bob. Counting down the episodes when Miss Erica "I'm going to be private with my relationship this time" Mena has Bow Wow prance across the TV screen. Mona ain't gonna let that one slip by. And where I come from, that whole,"We were friends for a long time, but something just clicked" generally means "We've been fuck buddies behind our SO's backs on and off for a while, but now that we're both single at the same time, we're trying to turn great sex into an actual relationship." Just saying. No words for Rich Pesos and his harum of fighting hood rats. The man clearly thrives on drama and it's a wonder he has any type of career to support himself.
  24. Darryl Strawberry has been pretty open about his drug abuse over the years. Diamond being a crack baby isn't too far off, actually. That doesn't excuse her overall stupidity. Crisco is a straight up controlling moron though. He's allowed to lie and screw everything that moves, but the women he cheats on aren't allowed to actually move on with their lives with men who may treat them with some level of respect? FOH. Amina talks a good game, but she ain't leaving Stanky Pankey. If for no other reason but to not be( what she sees as) a failure. I've been there…staying with a man you know is no good, because you don't want to prove the naysayers right. But in the end, she's hurting no one but herself, and her daughter. Cori would be better off growing up in Germany with her single mom and surrounded by a family that loves her, than here in the US with an absentee father who can't decide whether he wants to be a grown up or not. Hopefully she will have a real a-ha moment sooner or later. You wanna know how to avoid drama with your "artists," Rich Pesos? STOP SLEEPING WITH THEM!!! I just don't get his angle or his appeal. At Stevie J, with all of his fakery, has (had?) a real and respectable career in the music business with well-known artists. Who the hell does Rich have on his roster? Besides Olivia, whom we haven't seen or heard from since this show? And Mona, I could have done without a shot of that chick's fat ass in those too small shorts. I swear, I'm so over these "urban models" who want to be rappers. Speaking of which, we stay seeing these people "in the studio," and yet they have no albums or singles or even mix tapes to show for it. Studio time in NYC doesn't come cheap, and none of them seem to have actual jobs. Where the hell do they get the money to record, and to go to all these restaurants (also not a cheap dalliance in NYC)? I have no words for that mess with Mandingo and his baby mama with their mamas. It made absolutely no sense, and the fact that they all were just kind of chuckling about it afterwards leads me to believe that is a set up by the producers. I refuse to believe that some sort of arrangement hasn't been made over the past decade between M and Samantha. That being said Mandecees, you don't get full custody just because you caught a case, and there's a chance you may be going away for 20 years, and ALL of your kids will be adults by the time you get out. You should have thought of that before you did what you did to end up in this mess.
