Quick Questions for those who know more than I: -Are Mirai's under-roations worse really that bad, or are the judges singling her out a bit? I feel like other skaters are under-rotating too, but the judges don't seem to be as harsh. - I've seen comments about how Rostelcom is a "joke" competition- Why?

This is the bitterness thread where we talk about things that have already happened on the show- speculation of actors' mindsets, choices, or resume belongs in Behind the Scenes, or the speculation thread. I also wanted personally note that I recognize and appreciate how many of you have modified your behavior re: antipathy of Laurel. Keep it up!

So I watched the universal coverage of the men's and women's short program. Yay for Mirai! Her program is lovely, and I'm glad she in the medal mix. And surprised and happy that the candian (Alaine?) is in first. Fingers crossed for Mirai. I'm not sure how I feel about the commentators- one of them sounds so amp-ed when he talks, I feel like he's talking too much, even though he clearly knows what he is talking about, and doesn't talk so much about "Me! Me! Me!" and "when I was a skater...". The men...not exactly thrilled, but glad it wasn't a splat/crash fest like cup of china.

Yes yes! I want him back with the team, even if I think there's virtually no chance of that happening. Unless Grant's been brainwashed from the beginning? /grasping at straws. Loves Skye's Hail Hydra when she answered the phone, and I wonder if they'll find the city, or if it will be something solved in one of the movies. Not my favorite episode, but I thought it did a good job of wrapping up the TAHITI compulsion. I have no idea who/what the alien is, but since it pre-dates the pyramids (I think that's what the doctor said?), I don't have to worry about some awful hydra/shield doctor taking him when he was alive and slowly killing him, which was what I had feared.

If the "Arrow After the Show" episode hasn't aired yet, then it doesn't belong in this thread. Speculate somewhere else. Once it airs, you can post the link and discuss it.

I cannot tell a lie. I squeeed like a fangirl at the end. The supporting cast (i.e., the director, stage manager, and cast) did the lion's share of the work, but Sam/Dean's reactions were priceless.

Just a reminder, if it hasn't already happened or if you want it to happen, then in belongs in a speculation and/or spoiler thread. So if you think Oliver is going to bust up Felicity and Ray's wedding a la "the graduate," then it doesn't belong here....unless it (maybe, because it's Oliver) happens.

So how was the coverage on universal sports? NBC, I think, is still pretty bad. Not even feeling the tara/johnny love anymore. Thus complained, I liked Ashley's program, and wished she could have beaten the russian woman (Anna?)- even though I liked her. The girl who came in third is adorable, but I am wondering if she's going to have a growth spurt soon. Poor Adam. I'd like to seem him pull it together. Unless things change this season, it looks like the russians/japanese are going to dominate for some time to come- they really seem to know their stuff. I wonder what they are doing differently from other countries/programs that is making such a difference.

The repeated bashing of Laurel the character and Katie Cassidy the actress has crossed the line in many threads, including this one. We are not going to go back and delete or move anything, but going forward, let's keep this in mind; you don't have to like Laurel or Katie Cassidy, just as other posters are not required to hate either of them. Continued and/or repeated posts saying the same thing over and over again will be deleted. Also, just because you think it, does not mean it needs to be put on the internet; think before you post. There are people who are not comfortable with reading in here because of the vitriol against the character and actress, and frankly, that includes the mods. The tone of a number of the Laurel-hating posts leaves much to be desired, so reel it in please. Going forward, we will be watching and posts may be deleted or edited. BREAKING NEWS: Posters go egregiously off topic yet again! Moderator gnashes teeth and considers hiring Hulk to Smash things. The last page of comments seem to be an in depth discussion about the pros/cons of both Arrow and the Flash and not about Press releases or articles- which is what this thread is for. I haven't seen either since my family is in town visiting, so until they leave I only have this board to bring me up to speed. I look forward to everyone's comments about both the episode and the Avengers scene.

With the help of the feisty women, Sam and Callen fought off the bad guys who, coincidentally, were not rogue commandos people but just evil drug dealers. The accountant who fled to Mexico turned out to be in league with the bag guys, and he had 100 grand with him. After smiting the bad guys, Granger and the Real commandos of the United States Military (a reality show in the making?) show up. Somehow, only about 8g make it back to the states. Granger (I seriously hope the actor needs a hamburger and isn't sick), knows that somehow a large chunk of the money (which was only going to be destroyed by the Treasury) was left with the feisty women who helped take out the bad guys, but he mentions that he would have done the same thing. Granger is a good guy this episode. Also, everyone agreed that Sam was sexy, and Sam tried to set Callen up with one of the women for a date. (Callen is single again)! Hetty light, Deeks/Kensi light. I am certain other people on the boards here can recap it in more detail, but in a nutshell, that was it. Sorry about the brevity, but I'm swamped with work right now.

Whatever happened to Timothy Goebel? So, NBC, your coverage sucked. It didn't even have the cool little black box with the technical scores (as it were). I bit the bullet and went to the I*e network. It's better, but still. I should be able to watch it on tv dammit! It seemed like a rough competition for everyone. I guess it is early in the year, but it felt like there were more "eh" programs than "wow" programs. I really liked Jeremy's short program. I wish there was a way for him to be more consistent- maybe he should look for a hypnotist. ;) I just hope he can get a bronze in some world championship so he can retire and move on. Jason Brown- not sure how I feel about his programs. Or maybe it's his costumes. Machida just wiped the floor with everyone. I'm not crazy about his skating- he can jump beautifully, but I just don't "feel" his programs. I feel like he's there for the jumps, and everything else is just something bothersome for him. It doesn't look like the USA can compete with the Russians or Japanese. The women: Mirai! LOVED your long program, love the choreography of your short- I hope to see her skate cleanly in her short very soon. Such potential. Sam Ceasario was pretty good, Gracie Gold, I think, is suffering from the pressure of "OMG she's the next big thing" people/figure skating politics. Also, the music for her long is awful. It doesn't seem to "fit" her. She's not a disney princess, but she's not a "let me dance to a mournful dirge" person either. I don't get the russians. They can SKATE. Their costumes are awful. And while they can skate and jump, I feel like I'm watching a lot of windmilling arms and a lack of artistry. I'm not feeling them either. They say the year after the olympics is a time of change- I hope everyone can get it together.
