  1. Ep. 17 - Michel! So glad they have accepted him back into the fold. I love Marcus, but I felt Michel was unceremoniously fired from Masterchef Pro without very good reason. Me thinks Michel had a favorite, but they all did well considering the level of the task. I was laughing at how casually they would chat up Michel in the kitchen, and using his first name instead of just saying "yes chef!" like the pros do.
  2. When Joe recanted his police statement and took sole responsibility for the crime I was shocked. Then when the judge pointed out that Joe's new statement would blow his original deal, he recanted his recanting. That gave me pause. Joe will clearly make up testimony if it suits him. I do think Bob hired Joe to do it, but I can't be sure about Bob being present when it happened. I mean, what was Bob going to do in the garage? Shoot both of them right there if Joe refused to kill his wife? Is Bob gonna then dispose of both bodies and clean up, cuz we know from his employee at the bar that Bob don't do no actual work! : D The big clincher for me was Bob trying to put a hit on Joe. So stupid. If Joe acted alone and is just lying about you being involved, it will probably come out, and you don't need to kill him. In fact you are killing the one person who can come clean and say you are innocent. You only kill Joe so he can't testify against you, which is also stupid, cuz they already have Joe's story on police video. Which brings me to: why on earth would Joe not testify against Bob during the trial? Again, I thought it was maybe because his story was not true, and Bob was not actually in the garage at the time. Not impressed with this judge. Who compliments a defendant on how nice they look during a murder trial?! Then telling Denis how she got Joe to recant his recanting, and how she believed every word Joe said, and could read what Bob was thinking. I know she is retired, but I think judges should keep that stuff to themselves. Then at the end exclaiming that Jane was finally free. Please.
  3. Yep, the details were super similar. It was a Dateline episode and when it came up on GH, I recognized it right away.
  4. Looks like they are maybe gearing up for a college admissions scandal. They have been known to follow the headlines, i.e., the Kayak murder, NXIVM Cult, etc. OMG, the "lazy Susan childhood memory coffee wheel of death" was so hilariously stupid and contrived that ME could not help but chuckle during it. When it stopped, I was like Gregory, move it another 1/4 turn to the left!!!
  5. Robert goes all Marcus Lemonis on the Dynosafe lady! Can't blame him though, she was a mess. Not just her nerves, but she didn't seem to understand Robert or Mark's comments about the tech and the path to success. He is rightly concerned she will not make the best decisions going forward.
  6. That is how you deepen our understanding for a character through a focused episode while still incorporating others in meaningful ways and having a few moments of levity. I swear Alexis, Ned and Kevin all look better NOW! Okay, now to be bitchy... when Alexis said, as she has many times before, that she is the one who always has to hold everything together, I kept thinking, girl, you have never really held things together all that well, if we look at the evidence. Is NLG going on a long break? They usually only flashback for big occasions like that. I also thought is was incorrigible to leave out Diane. And the only time Julian appeared was when Alexis ran over him! Poor WdV! Was I the only one who thought Mikkos looked like Anthony Scaramucci?!
  7. That sock was hideous and did not even look like a sock. Maybe a sock for a half man half cloven foot creature. Chris (again) should have been, as Heidi Klum would say, "out." He likes to remind us each episode how he is doing super advanced techniques, risking life and limb, overcoming tragic mishaps, and even sacrificing his shoes! He's kind of like the Great Oz, does all this splashy stuff to get attention, but then the pieces rarely pay off.
  8. They had to award Chris another win to justify his still being there. I think the reason they are keeping him is because they know he is going to do those advanced techniques every week, and they think it makes good TV. And cuz they want an Elliot/Chris finale show down. I actually didn't have a huge problem with Elliot's piece, because, as he said, the British are quite stoic and often dismiss their issues with the saying "don't cry over spilled milk". What was missing was the pathos, and how that stiff upper lip stuff can be damaging to a person.
  9. I was actually thinking the same thing @mmccpp, that light degrades many things, including perfume. On any other competition show, they might have a non-elimination week when the judges don't feel anyone deserves to go home. Not on this show! Chris has nine lives. I know he has won once or twice, but other than that he has been in the bottom every time.
  10. I... I... care about what you think. I... care about what you think, too. Jesus God. Make it stop! Loving Nik bringing the truth hammer down on Laura!
  11. That's just Keith. He's an emotional guy, very passionate about pottery, and it moves him when a contestant shines. If your anything like me, pretty soon you will crying right along with him!
  12. OMG, now Nancy has the other judges doing the finger dance thing. Make it stop!!
  13. This show needs to watch some of the absolutely wonderful UK artisan competition programs (Bake off, Sewing Bee, Pottery Throw Down) and realize that these shows DO NOT need a villain. It is so much more pleasant to just enjoy the diversity of people and their amazing talent. It is still plenty exciting because we all find our favorites and some underdogs to root for.
  14. Today when Nik mentioned that Spencer wasn't a kid anymore and was graduating, it gave me hope for a recast. Of course, if he shows up in PC as a sexy prince, he'll probably promptly be put in the roll of pining after Joss. Yeah, Laura is now re-storying it that Cyrus' mother was not really kidnapped. And I think she even put kidnapped in air quotes. Jesus Wept.
  15. Also, as I have learned from Dateline and The First 48, cops can pretty much do forensics on any phone and recover ALL the data that was ever on it, including stuff that was purposefully deleted. So just remember kids, destroy the phone if you need to get rid of your murder confession!
  16. For those missing their arts programming, I can recommend "Drawers Off," a painting/drawing competition.
  17. Yeah, if Peter was really a brilliant mastermind, he would have waited a few minutes for Franco to die, then called 911 and said he was assaulted, kidnapped, and forced to make the confession under threat of torture/murder. His head injury and the recording would be the evidence. End of story. No charges. AND, and a bonus, Franco would have been revealed to be dangerous again, just as Peter claimed in his Invader story!
  18. That DrainWig device that Kevin invested in years ago seems a much better solution for catching hairs in the shower drain. I may buy one of those! Who pays for a fancy monthly tattoo enhancing cream when the creators of it fully admit the enhancement only comes from it moisturizing the skin. Any lotion will do that!
  19. Hey I'm all for Leisl and Scott getting in on, but Leisl implying they pulled off a triple last night was a bit far fetched. I do hope the Metro Court scrubs down the upholstery between guests. Um, wow, okay, Sonny you have neither the charm nor the grace of Fred Astaire dancing about with your broom. And what the hell is wrong with Phyllis? She knows Sonny suffers from head injury/amnesia, wears wedding rings and dreams about a woman, but she's pushing him and Nina together like it's some romcom "meet cute" situation. She works in patient care for god's sake!
  20. I wish I could say I was shocked to find out the skeevy con artist masquerading as a woman was actually a man ....but I was not. I know there are a lot of egregious female cons too, but when the power/sex stuff seemed to be the big payoff, I just figured.... He really put in a lot of work to get his jollies.
  21. Ah damn, I knew they weren't gonna let Chris win, but I would have loved to see his finale room. It was clear to me that they wanted Carmeon to win. She looks good on camera, already has the social media following, and can do all the internet stuff which is required these days. Not to say she isn't a decent designer, but I didn't get her bedroom. For me, opening your bedroom door and having a huge bookshelf wall right there in your face that you have to walk around to get to the actual bedroom was just weird. I did like the African vibe of her finale room, but it seemed like it was essentially 3-4 different seating areas. Eli is still not sure what he is about. He was second guessing everything, and would probably have gone really wrong if he hadn't had a team that included better stylists. I also didn't understand the textural wall in the back of his finale apartment. For a while I thought the builders were maybe in the process of trying to plaster something and left a big spluge there. Still, all in all I enjoyed the series and will be back for more. PS. When the helpers were introduced, I was like ....who's Tony?! : D
  22. Valentin found it gauche, but I was like, damn right Gladys! You don't let the dregs of your first drink go to waste, you pour them right into your second drink and enjoy every last drop! Those cocktails are pricey! Um, I could not help but notice that LW and LWB had NO chemistry in their big fight scene. Hopefully they have better luck at home. I wonder if she asks him to do the batman voice. : D
  23. That last quarterfinal was wacky. Even I freaking know what poutine is, Greg! Totally thought Baz would breeze through, but I was glad the older lady and the guy with the crazy dishes made it. I was kind of thinking they might put 3 through.
  24. So Mikey won't let Nina near Wiley cuz she might "confuse" him, but he's all good with taking over as mob boss during a time of violent unrest until Jason can get out of jail. mmmkay. Hell fucking no to Anna and Valentin developing any kind of respect for Carly during their big caper together. Ugh!!!!
  25. Anna suggesting that she and Leisl should have teamed up to stop Peter before he killed Franco was a bit much, seeing as up until a day before the wedding Anna was still giving Peter "one more chance" and handing him the ONLY evidence that existed against him, which he promptly destroyed. Not to mention, a day before that she was headed out of town with Finn to "deal with" Leisl. Having said that, much rather see those two than Anna giving fucking Carly the time of day.
