  1. DZ can show energy, charisma and wit, in the right situations. He has been crushed by his story lines every since that stupid ass trip to Turkey to find Raj. I'm also not buying that he has not been glued to Lulu's side these last couple months. Except for Laura mentioning that she visited a couple times, it is seriously like her loved ones shipped her off and forgot about her. Maxie spends more time visiting Nathan's headstone than she does visiting Lulu.
  2. Yay, it's back! There are some great artists in the mix, but overall I am thinking this group seems a bit more nervous and less talented than the previous groups. The only looks that blew me away were Dolli's and Sophie's. Who won, I already forgot? With SM being such a big deal now, my concern is that contestants with the most followers will be kept around longer than perhaps they deserve. @ElectricBoogaloo, it's definitely worth checking out the first two seasons on Netflix.
  3. Finally caught this. It was not very good. Didn't care for the judges, and I find Ellen's comedy bits exhausting. I will still keep watching cuz I love creative competitions So are they flying to contestants to CA every week for judging?!
  4. Agree that Patrick and Esme are the judging holy grail. Loving the pretty dresses. Thought Damien was gonna be the easy first out doofus guy, but he's really come around, so now I'm rooting for him. His dresses have been particularly lovely on his model.
  5. That was, like, the angriest mail carrier I've ever seen!
  6. She also willingly sat there for days/hours of interrogation giving a story she knew would be proven false, and handed her cell phone right over so the cops could start analyzing it, when she knew they could track locations from it! AND she kept hounding the police to see if they had any leads on the case yet. What in god's name was she thinking?! One thing they didn't say was whether it was Asley texting the girlfriend about "needing a couple days away to think" cuz it seems to me Taylor was dead at that point and Ashley had her phone. Honestly, everyone in this story seemed off.
  7. Britt looked very pretty today. Don't kill her, show! We need her. So now they are erasing the kidnapping of Florence to the point that Martin is actually bummed out that she is no longer in Carly's wonderful care! Were there only 5 people at that dance? I mean there's two gunman, a struggle, bullets firing, and a woman screaming and there is NO ONE else around until the paramedics arrive. I was actually SHOCKED they allowed Jax to knock out the gunman as he took a bullet protecting Nina. Usually only Sonny gets to be the hero.
  8. Ah, I was hoping we would get a glimpse of Ken at his rehab center. This intervention almost seemed to easy. There was no question that Michael was ready for help and would jump on it, and his Navy buddies seemed totally cool and supportive, as did his fiance and her mom. My question is why did it take 3 years to get him into treatment?!
  9. Fin becomes hot when he goes from his usual zombie self to having some fire about him. Sean's not looking too shabby. Um, already forgot everything else.
  10. Thanks guys, I will check out the model train show! Okay so I started watching All That Glitters and I was like, hold on, whats happening? what's going on?... It took me a while to figure out that what was kinking me up was that I was hearing vocal fry! I then realized it was the presenter, speaking with what I thought was an American accent! Hey now, I am here for the dulcet accents and if I want vocal fry, I can step outside my bloody door! : D But, once I let that go, I really enjoyed the show. Good balance between creativity and learning a few things ~not a lot, cuz I can't retain that much, but enough to feel more knowledgeable about jewelry! Only a couple of the pieces have been really stunning thus far, but that's cool. The judges are competent and quite low key, but I would rather that than what I just endured on Full Bloom (the flower display competition). In episode 2, the presenter cooled it with the vocal fry, and I am warming up to her. Her humor is okay, it just has more of an acerbic, sarcastic bent that I don't usually associate with UK programs. I think Kim was happy to go. As she said herself, the time crunch was too much for her.
  11. I do miss the longer seasons of MC UK. Don't want it to be 60 episodes like AU, but the current way they jump to quarter finals and semi finals, eliminating two and three cooks at a time, is too fast for me. I would like to see the contestants cook a couple more times. I skip the AU episodes where the cooks are just replicating some ridiculously intricate dessert or trying to "keep up" with some professional chef. That's just boring to me. And I'm not into the drama and the judges trying to fake out the contestants with their critiques. I really appreciate that MC UK is all about cooking, with no whooping and hollering, and the judges just give straightforward feedback without trying to make it into local theater. Glad they didn't change it and hope they never do!
  12. Oh dear, between this, Top Chef US, and MC Australia, it's going to be hard to keep up! Not a fan of having a married couple compete. It tends to hog air time from other contestants, because they gotta milk that drama. Plus I don't think it's fair that the couple get to have their main support person with them. That seems like a big advantage in these stressful conditions. Also not a fan of the wife having worked extensively for Tom McEwan! She's turning out great food, and I don't think he would be purposefully partial to her, but I think that kind of relationship can factor in, if even subconsciously.
  13. Having read Mo's biography (which believe me was not easy), I am quite sure he is using his method acting to play this totally authentic amnesiac (who just happens to smirk, stutter and act just like Sonny). He probably thinks he is giving the performance of his life with this totally new and riveting character. ...and he is probably giving tips to the other actors on how to come up to his level. Hasn't Jax already met Phyllis?
  14. Majorly pissed that Justin, Spencer, Adam, and Ace kept getting pushed through while better designers like Kristen, Schentell and Beth were eliminated. Up until Schentell, they were eliminating a less talented grunt worker from the losing team, but then Schentell, Kristen and Beth were eliminated for not being good team leaders. Hard to tell from the tiny snippets we saw whether they were or not, but it's still bullshit as the judges sometimes held the team leader accountable, but other times sent another team member home. When Conner lost as team leader, he insisted he was responsible and should go. The judges said no way. Next challenge, Beth unceremoniously got the heave-ho over Ace, even though she worked hard and nailed the individual challenge. I feel like they were just keeping around whomever's back story they preferred. I was betting on Conner and Beth for final two and really wanted to see Beth's full room display. Ace's lacked creativity and refinement. Conner's was spectacular, but they didn't film it very well and I would have liked to get a fuller view of it. PS. Hate it when they spray-paint flowers!
  15. I also wondered how those hamburgers that the judges praised so much would actually taste with those thick layers of fondant in them. Per Duff, Derek's cupcake was not a "snack", cuz some of it might fall on your shirt while eating it, yet those big crumbly bars with goo falling out of them were totally fine. Duff was pissing me off with that nonsense. And also for calling Nancy "a snack". Nancy is many things ....but she is not a snack.
  16. Stop! You guys are making me want to watch it now, just to hear all the minge winge!
  17. If it was Joss in prison, Carly would make a deal with the devil, so she needs to stop judging Nik! How many times is SBu going to do "hold the phone away from his ear" acting. Joey Tribbiani would be proud.
  18. FYI for west coasters, today's episode is already available for streaming at abc.com!
  19. Okay, wait, what the hell, she injured her lady cavern? How on earth? Yes, there is no way this race could really be totally fair, unless they were all running the same route. Not sure why they broke it up like this, and, for me, it just adds to the choppy nature of the show.
  20. Thanks for the recap, I think I will just skip this episode! Are they almost done with Phase I yet?
  21. Looks like a new season of MC AU has started up. Not as good, but good. I will never understand why so many watch that but not UK. Oh well, at least more cookery to keep me company!
  22. Yeah, when that info on Kathleen's gun residue came out, as well as all the stuff about her stealing from the dad, and embezzling from the bank, I was like, hello, how did HIS attorney not look into this stuff. It seems like a bit of investigating into Kathleen would have been job one, and his attorney could have pushed for residue tests and a second opinion on the crime scene. And how incompetent are the ME/crime scene investigators that they mistook a bullet graze wound as blunt force trauma from an object?! The other attorney recognized that mistake just from a photograph! This was right up there on the sadness scale as the woman who's husband was kidnapped and tortured in Mexico for years as she worked with authorities and the kidnappers and fought to get him released. She held it together through all that, and then he was finally released and she died shortly thereafter.
  23. You bet. If you need help finding the episodes, just PM me. I also recommend Landscape Artist of the Year, if you have not seen that one! Oh, and Great British Sewing Bee just started. Haven't gotten to that one yet either, but it's a total delight. And Great Pottery Throw Down just finished the latest series and it was great!
  24. Great finale! Winner was well deserved. If I was dining, I might pick someone else's dishes, though.
  25. I came across and will be watching, but haven't yet! Glad to here it is good. I usually enjoy all the UK competition shows so much more than the US ones. I am currently making my way through Drawers Off a life drawing competition and really enjoying that!
