  1. Thanks AD35! Hopefully I can catch it on the CBS website. The full episode isn't up yet. I like that they're having the guys hang out together again without the ladies. Not that I don't like Penny, Amy or Bernadette, it's just nice to see the guys getting back to nerdy stuff and having fun. The time travel talk always blows my mind. I don't know how Jim Parsons kept all of that dialogue straight! I wonder how many takes that took!
  2. Would somebody mind telling me what happened in the last 5 minutes? TBBT was pre-empted due to severe weather coverage. Thanks!
  3. I disagree. It wasn't her fight. She takes second-hand information and very quickly makes a judgment on John without actually knowing the facts herself. Who does that? If I'm going to stomp and scream at somebody on national television, I'm at least going to know what the fuck I'm talking about. I thought it made her look bad. I'm not trying to defend John, but again, I don't think there should be any interaction between the tribes at challenges - especially where one tribe is actively lobbying for an opposing tribe member's ouster. There will be time for that after the merge!
  4. IIRC, back in the old Survivor days tribes weren't allowed to talk to each other at challenges or at Redemption Island. The blue team was way out of line in trying to oust a member of the opposing tribe. He said if she were a man he'd knock her teeth out. She was way out of line speaking of things she only knew by hearsay. I like Josh, but I found it insulting that he automatically assumed that Keith wouldn't like him because he's "a gay man from New York." People can have a difference of opinion on certain issues without resorting to hateful or violent behavior. Assumptions like this about us southern folks can be quite maddening. Maybe Josh will learn not to judge people based on geography. :)
  5. I agree that she can take care of herself, but most men want and/or need to feel like the protector (I've learned this over many years of marriage!) I'm pretty independent myself, but it's reassuring to know that your spouse cares about you so much. I think that my spouse and I could play against each other in this setting, but it would suck knowing that you unwittingly got them sent to Exile Island right off the bat. Only one episode in, but I didn't find anybody particularly horrible just yet! Oh, Nadiya. That was about as un-PC as it gets with your comments! Live and learn.
  6. I believe he refers to them as "bathing suit parts." He has used that term before. Please correct if me if I'm wrong on that, but that's how I remember the line. With all due respect to pharmaceutical reps, I do think Penny could be good at this job. I figured that Bernadette would've reassured her by saying something like "look at the drug information as a script and memorize it." I think Penny is capable of learning the basics on the job, and with some guidance and experience, the rest will fall into place. More than likely she will go tandem on her office calls until she is able to go out on her own. The flirting aspect will definitely be realistic too. I work in a dental office and I've seen plenty of female reps come in with short skirts and tops showing lots of cleavage! One even tried to buddy up to the dentist, with his wife standing there! It was embarrassing. Her flaunting it didn't influence him in any way! Some of the male reps try to use their good looks on us too. Seriously, we're not impressed.
  7. I wondered how that could happen, and now I know! I can't believe that men would risk blindness for sex, but to each his own. I loved both episodes. The look on Sheldon's face when he inhaled the spitball was priceless. And good for Howard for standing up to his pompous ass!
  8. Did Heather come up with the games for the party? I think that whoever did was just wanting to stir up some shit. Nothing good can come out of playing this kind of game using only the people in the room for the answers. I think it was a deliberate attempt to get people riled up at each other. YMMV.
  9. Wasn't there a story floating around a couple of months ago in which Vicki had withdrawn a sizeable amount of money from Donn's account and she had to pay it back? It might've been a joint account, but she wasn't supposed to take money from it. Does anybody know if that story was true? I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere! I wonder when Heather and Terry are going to have that "aha" moment about accepting an apology. Heather is all about giving one apology for an offense and then moving on (when it involves her having to apologize.) When somebody else is in the wrong, they have to apologize and pass the Terry & Heather sincere/insincere test before moving on. That drives me nuts!
  10. I wish David would've had a comeback with something funny. Just off the top of my head (no pun intended), I'm thinking of the old Dr. Pepper jingle changed up a little bit - "I'm a penis, he's a penis, you're a penis, wouldn't you like to be a penis too. Be a penis, ooh be a penis." He could've gotten the whole gang singing it. This might only be funny in my feeble brain.
  11. Yeah, Ramona needs to practice these things in her head before she actually says them. She used the word "handicapped" to describe Jax. It went something like this:"because of Heather's great attitude towards her son, he doesn't even know he's handicapped." Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm positive that's how Ramona said it. She was trying to compliment Heather, but then stuck her foot in her mouth. I figured Andy changed the subject quickly so that Ramona didn't make it any worse.
  12. How did I not know that Robin suffered with depression? Sigh. I am so saddened by this news. I'm glad that I watched this show while it was on. From all of the outtakes and interviews, he seemed to be enjoying it. It's so sad to know that while he brought joy to his fans, all of that despair was right there beneath the surface. How sad that his family will now have to deal with the emotional turmoil a suicide brings.
  13. What I learned from the preview is that the monkeys behaved better than some of the HoWives. Sheesh! What an embarrassment they can be.
  14. These women seem to have a selective memory. However, I do believe more of what Lizzie says than Tamra. Tamra is a proven liar. Watching Vicki & Shannon kayaking was the best part of the episode to me. Just watching them being themselves and having fun was a nice change of pace.
  15. As far as string theory, I spoke to a physicist recently and apparently there's been some doubts/rethinking in this area. Maybe the show is following that trend. As much as I love Sheldon's Mom, I think there's a point where Sheldon had to cut the apron strings and not be so dependent on her. I'm happy to see the change in him in this regard. He has his friends and a girlfriend to help him through life's problems. He doesn't have to call his Mom with every little upset now.
  16. Sadly, this is the kind of thing that can doom a show. If the actors come across as too greedy, they might lose fans. If TPTB play hardball and don't negotiate, then the show could lose some of the actors, and subsequently their fan base. I hope this isn't the unraveling of this show.
  17. Well, more power to anybody who can get a raise these days, but I can't seem to muster up any sympathy for actors/actresses or high paid athletes when it comes to contract negotiations. These people make more in a month than what my spouse & I make in a year. Hopefully they'll get the negotiations done so that it doesn't affect the show.
  18. With 30% lung capacity, I would've expected to see a much sicker individual. As others have noted, it would've been a lot easier for her to decline the trip based on the activities, but I think that if she had gone, Ramona and Sonja would've opted out of the strenuous activities (we know they can't seem to appreciate nature in any form or fashion) and found things to do with her. She wouldn't have had to sit in the cabin the entire time. Maybe she came up with the asthma excuse so they wouldn't try to talk her into going, since she didn't want to go in the first place.
  19. That might be so, but I figure that her idea of what defines wealth is very different than mine! I was buying into the notion that she might not be as rich as I thought until I realized that she has an apartment in NYC and a house in California. I have no doubt that she's doing well. It's kind of like hearing Hillary Clinton whine about how "poor" they were when they left the White House, and how hard it was to meet the mortgages (not just a mortgage, but mortgages.) Not that Carole was complaining, it's just that I think she's better off than she lets on. Luann told Sonja that her beef wasn't with her, but with Harry and why he left her at the party. So that sounds like they left separately. Now Heather says they all left together, so I'm picturing Luann & Harry in a separate cab, with everybody else following and heading to the same location. I still question Sonja's story of chasing down their cab. If that's not true, then what are the circumstances surrounding her injury? Why wasn't she in the cab with everybody else? I don't believe that Luann had any intention of being romantic with Harry. I wish we could see all of the footage of them leaving the party. It is a bit confusing.
  20. I felt the same way about her demands until I saw the end result. I thought to myself, so that's what she was going for! I haven't read the book, but looking at all of the cool stuff at the party, I'm intrigued! She had to have all of those seemingly oddball components in order to make her vision work, IMO.
  21. Same reason they use 20 year olds to show us how well anti-wrinkle creams supposedly work! It just looks better. Yeah, I wondered about that too. Maybe it ended up being to risky, but it would be nice to hear the details on it.
  22. This could be easily resolved. My hubby has a pre-programmed text that he sends to let me know if he's running late. He works in retail, so the two words "asshole customers" lets me know that somebody walked in the door at closing time and he'll be late! I commute on a busy route, so I let him know when I'm running late too. It's a simple courtesy to let the other one know that we're okay. No nagging involved!
  23. I still can't figure out what Josh is an entrepreneur of! Did he invent E-Boost, or is he a marketer of it? I have a little more sympathy for Kristin after hearing the backstory of how they moved to LA and then back to NYC, and how he didn't include her in the discussion to do so. That sucks! Having said that though, they both share in the blame for the problems in their relationship. That's going to take some work, especially if Josh is looking for the "mediator" to tell Kristin that she's in the wrong. Geez. Talk about going into therapy with an effed up attitude. I think they're both in for a rude awakening!
  24. What bothered me was that they let them watch such a violent scene with their Mom in it. I know it's make believe, but damn, I don't think they needed to see that. I FF through the Tamra/Eddie/robot baby scenes. That does not interest me in the least.
  25. Heather quickly shut down Shannon and threw her out of her house so that she would have time to concoct her story. She knew she had been caught spreading gossip, so she turned everything against Shannon. I'm sure Heather rehearsed her little spiel over and over again until it sounded just right. Shannon wanted the same answer that Heather gave Lizzie. Problem is, Heather couldn't come up with a lie that quickly, IMO.
