I'm not sure that's prop background. I think that's a Sunday school room in some church basement. I know they homechurched for a while, but they also did speaking engagements at churches, etc. I don't get the props and that no one is smiling (which means they were probably told not to smile). I don't think Jackson is in the picture, but it's hard to tell.

I'm so sorry for your loss @Ijustwantsomechips. Losing an uncle or aunt can be hard. I'm also sorry your uncle suffered so much. On a happier note, I know a few people who adopted out of foster care. One checked the older children box, but her four adopted kids were all younger and several were babies. (The oldest was about 3 or 4 when they got her.) I know two families where the adopted family were given babies (eventually), because they started with slightly older children and they were able baby siblings.

@Scarlett45 I'm so sorry for you loss. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. One of my friends is having trouble sleeping and seems depressed. If y'all could send good thoughts his way, I would really appreciate it.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

I keep thinking they'll announce a courtship. Probably Jason or Jeremiah? If I keep guessing him, I'll be right eventually. My gut is Jason, because of Instagram. On the other hand, Jer seemed to be dropping hints. I think I know who either one of them is courting, but we'll see. -
So I saw on another forum that people think JD is holding the plans for RV park. It could be an old picture or the RV park is back on!

I'm not sure who any of the boys in the first picture of the boys on the table. I'm not sure which one is missing (assuming the oldest four aren't in the picture). Second picture: Assuming I can tell Joe and Si apart, Joe seems to have the same hair! -Iah twin on the left looks Gideon and -Iah twin on the right looks like Israel. Also Jill is taller than Jana.

Jed! said he wasn't engaged and Jer said he wasn't pregnant.

Jim Bob and Michelle have been part of the cast for a long while. It started with the weddings. They had to be at the weddings and these are the biggest moments for the kids and the show. It started with Jinger's wedding (first wedding after Josh left). There's a reason JB and Michelle used to or still prominently display a photo from her wedding where they are both kissing her. By the time JD got married (last married as of now) Michelle was doing long voiceovers and they were both there. As for Josie, a few years ago she had went to eat something (not finger food) and she went to eat it with her hands. Someone had to tell her eat with a knife and fork. It's hard to say if she has delays or if it's just what she's used to. Jessa was the fiercest of her sisters and now she's playing nice in the cult. I'm not really comfortable with parents sharing their kids' pottytraining either on television or the internet. Both of Jessa's son should be old enough to use the bathroom by now, hopefully only the youngest is in diapers.

It's still sick, especially considering James is an adult.

I kind of agree with you, but the main thing about finding someone for Jana is figuring out who to match her with. I doubt they have someone in mind and they need to find someone for Jana to court. Probably when they do find somone for her, they'll let her court/marry right away. -
Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Oh Lord, not only are they partying in a pandemic, they're also... 1. ATVing. Joy is riding behind Austin on ATV. Now I wouldn't have problem with this except she's at least 8 months pregnant. Also they're not wearing helmets. Accidents are really common on ATV. You hit a rock or something. 2. Archery with no armguards. Also Joy shoots the bow with her huge bump in the way. 3. Axe throwing. I guess no hazards beyond playing with axes. I'd have less of problem if these were just young people not during a pandemic. But they're also all parents doing this stuff. You can't fix stupid. -

One of the howlers used to like to cook and wanted to be a chef, and I thought it was James. I could have the wrong kid. And 19 is a big age for the Duggars. Technically they can get married as young as 18, but no one in this generation has gotten married younger than 19. So now he can get married or have an official courtship. But the next one to court is probably Jason or Jeremiah. -
There are new pictures of the newest Maxwell grandchild Elliot Rex, on both the Maxwell blog and Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell's blog Chelsy Renee. It's Chelsy's second son/child. She has a not yet 1 month year old Elliot Rex and 18 month year old Axton John. Her husband is John Maxwell. Both blogs feature pictures of the baby with some of them taken by Sarah Maxwell. Chelsy's blog has a lot more photos and details. Some notable things. Chelsy hasn't been social distancing. She took a picture of herself in a public restroom at 40 weeks pregnant with no mask. A few days after the baby was born, she introduced the baby to Grandma Gigi. Gigi is John's grandmother and 88 years old. She also says that the baby is named after Gigi's late husband Rex. She also shows a picture no masks of their first outing. "Our first outing as a family of four was chiropractor appointments for Elliot and me." Is this a fundie thing? One of the Bates, Carlin?, took her baby to a chiropractor. Actually the biggest fundies I know in real life are chiropractors too, but is there a reason a baby needs a chiropractor?

I only quoted a portion the full headline is: Jana Duggar Longs to Be Married But Is ‘Making the Most’ of Her Single Years: ‘I’m Not That Worried’ I posted the full article in the lonely J thread. It's on page 311 of the lonely Js. Or you can read on the Us Weekly website.

I mentioned this in the TLC/media thread but US Weekly has interview with Jana Duggar! Full headline: Jana Duggar Longs to Be Married But Is ‘Making the Most’ of Her Single Years: ‘I’m Not That Worried’ Dating herself first! Jana Duggar isn’t too stressed about her love life right now but hopes she’ll still be able to find The One someday. “I’m not that worried,” the Growing Up Duggar: It’s All About Relationships coauthor, 30, said while speaking to Us Weekly exclusively with her mother, Michelle Duggar, on Thursday, July 2. “Yes, I long to be married and one day I think that will come, but I think … I’m just also just trying to stay busy with whatever comes along my path.” While the 19 Kids and Counting alum admitted that she sometimes feels “a little more pressure” to take the next big step, she’s focusing on “making the most” of her single years. “I think if I sit there and I’m like, ‘Oh no, I’m not married’ and just [get] all worried about it, it makes things way worse,” she explained. Jana previously opened up about her dating life during an October 2019 episode of TLC’s Counting On, admitting that there “have been a number of guys” who have asked her out — but “none of them worked out.” “[My siblings] have been in relationships, courtships, whatever you want to label it as. Of course, it doesn’t always end in marriage and that’s OK,” she said at the time. “You have to sometimes talk to someone, get to know someone and realize, you know what, it doesn’t have to end in marriage.” While many of her family members have already walked down the aisle and started families of their own, Jana is holding out hope that someday she’ll find a lifelong love like her parents have had for more than 30 years. “They’re quick to forgive and to make, really try to make things right,” the reality star told Us of her mom, 53, and dad, Jim Bob Duggar, who exchanged their vows in 1984. “The genuine love that they still have for one another … this young love and they still have that, you know, today. I think that’s rare to see couples that are their age and been married that long.” The season 11 premiere of Counting On airs on TLC on Tuesday, July 7, at 8 p.m. ET. -

Any clue who the random people are? -
Jana did interview with US Weekly that was published on July 2, 2020. It was called Making the Most of Her Single. Michelle was there, but isn't quoted or anything. It was mostly filler and possibly an ad for Jana. Definitely an ad for Counting On. It proves Us Weekly will pay the Duggars for almost anything. If there is no courtship or pregnancy, the next article could be about the garden or TTH lawn growing.

Also if I didn't spend too much time here, I wouldn't know which brother is Jed!, running for office. That's pretty dumb; they should make it clear who Jed! is. -

Why is Joe always in the line-up with the single boys. None of the other married brothers are in the line-up, but Joe. And Si is younger than Joe. -
Of course they are. When's the last time JB and Michelle or Kelly and Gil did anything truly selfless? None of these people do anything they don't want to do and don't care about other people. At this point, it's part of the sociopolitical views not to take COVID seriously. I saw three videos of adult women throwing fits about maskwearing yesterday and these people are no different.

I get the fireworks that make pretty light displays, but I'm with you about the ones that just make noise. What does that have to do anything?

It's the contradiction of livestreaming from home to social distance and then inviting people over. It would probably still be safer than going to church if Jill and Derick hadn't just gone out to eat indoors.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I hate all those mismatched prints in the same dress. Meredith is adorable, but her dress is the worst. Josh looks slimmer in the stomach, but he needs to find a pair of shorts that fit! -

She didn't say it in that post, but Duggar Data said Joy had already said before that post.
