  1. JimBob's real name is James and it's his license. His son James is not old enough.
  2. People magazine seemed to be losing interest in the Duggar family.... and now they seem interested again!
  3. I wonder how much say Lauren got in the process. The courtships/wedding planning seems to be a focus of what TLC airs. Jana and Anna making the bridesmaid dresses seems to be a storyline for tv. They (Jana and Anna) probably had more say than Lauren in what the dresses would look like. If someone were making bridesmaid dresses for my wedding, I would be careful about being critical, pushy, etc. considering it's a lot of work done for my benefit.
  4. Anna is wearing the same dress that Michelle wore to Si and Lauren's wedding!! She previously wore the same maternity dress as Joy when they were both pregnant. Do these people seem to buy multiple dresses of the exact same thing and pass them to the family? Or they buy clothes in two sizes (such as L and XL), keep the size that works the best, and give the other one to a relative?
  5. I'm not sure she can though. Just because her mother is sympathetic in labor (which is physically painful) doesn't mean that they would be sympathetic if nothing was really going on. I mean some people are really empathetic when there's a reason to be upset and not empathetic when nothing is wrong. I tend to think her family is more like the Duggars, since they married their teenage daughter to a Duggar.
  6. New pictures up of the family from the wedding. Kendra and Joy were bridesmaids. Anna and her husband were not in the wedding party. Michelle wore a pale pink dress with the same necklace that looks good. The younger J-boys were groomsmen. Hannie wore her bridesmaid dress from Kendra's wedding.
  7. Maybe she gets cold in air conditioning.
  8. The dress from Nordstrom's has buttons going all the way down. This dress is too short for Michelle's taste.
  9. Jill's might have better if they hadn't altered them. I like Jessa's dresses.
  10. And I thought Jessa's were better than Jill's.
  11. Kendra has her mom and sister for now. Her mom is pregnant and will give birth sooner than later to her own baby. Her sister will helping with the children, and may leave to pursue her own life or get married and start having her own children. By the time Garrett is two, she'll have a toddler and a baby/pregnancy and not as much help.
  12. I think the bridesmaid's hair looks nice. It was carefully arranged and may be a little frizzy due to the heat. If my hair looked that good, I would be happy. Lauren's hair was style too, but seemed to be falling a little from her down-do. Down-hair is trendy right now at weddings, even in the real world.
  13. With her employment record, she's still found a job. And one that she finds meaningful, because it will be benficial to others. Even if she's just a caregiver, it's nice that she has such enthusiam for her job and positivity about trying to help people.
  14. Neither do the Duggars or the Bates and they were fanatical back when they were having kids. Most fundies branch out from the biblical, because it's gives them more names to use. The same names used over and over can get confusing. The Maxwells who did mostly biblical except for Christopher (pre-vasectomy). They have their daughter Anna and daughter-in-law Anna Marie, who is called Anna-Marie to differentiate from Anna. Anna Duggar's parents gave all their kids biblical names.
  15. I like Michelle's dress, except that it's a little too old looking shomehow.
  16. She's doing this to distract from her husband's twitter feed. She wants the latest articles to be about her sweet and informative and maybe goofy blogposts, not Derick's tweets.
  17. I actually tried a modified version of Jill's recipe for cinnamon toast. It was pretty good. I put the excess sugar in a jar marked cinnamon sugar. (I mixed it myself, just used an old glass jar to store cinnamon sugar.) I too, wondered how she toasted the bread. Did she use a modern toaster? Or use a panini-type press? Or put under it the broiler? Or use a toasting fork over a campfire? Or use eighteenth century manual iron toaster like at Colonial Williamsburg in honor of the Fourth (of July)?
  18. Who are these Ryans? I've never heard of them until Josiah got married.
  19. @Lunera thank you for explaining the name. As to whether Lauren is of hispanic/spanish descent, (I think that was what was being asked) it's hard to say for sure. It's possible she has/had a Spanish grandparent/great-grandparent. America is a melting pot and people intermarry.
  20. For a long time, everytime I saw pictures of the TTH and/or JB and Michelle, there was a photo of them kissing Jinger on her wedding day. And this was before she was pregnant. They know how popular the Vuolos are. I doubt JB and Michelle would care if Jeremy put on the World Cup on. Maybe because of the commercials? But they've gone way off the Gothard track from when the only sport they allowed was broom ball. Now they go to baseball games, football, and even a soccer game with Jeremy. I bet a lot of Americans haven't see a US pro-soccer team (and yes many people have as well). Did Jeremy throw or head butt a soccer ball to the bachelors at their wedding? Somebody threw a football and Josiah threw a baseball to all the single dudes. I don't follow enough fundies to know if everyone is becoming more interested in mainstream sports culture or the Duggars are for some reason. The Maxwells are still firmly anti-organized sports with outsiders, but can play family volleyball. If volleyball is good enough for the Amish, it's good enough for everyone.
  21. I think Diana is a lot older than Guinn. Guinn is in her early forties and Diana would be pushing sixty at least.
  22. Since she bought the dress from a wedding dress store, it seem most likely that her alterations were handled by the dress shop. Wedding dress stores offer deals on alterations with the dresses they sell.
