  1. I found this episode entertaining. I'm relatively new to Drag Race, but it's entertaining. Monique Heart; don't take off your wig! I was impressed Monique Heart's talent otherwise.
  2. Yeah I agree with you, although it didn't occur to me to google it. With Calvin, I would expect he was talking about salvation.
  3. She must have a pretty easy-going baby, who allows her to get enough sleep. Of course she has the time to nap when the baby naps. Some women don't have a choice; they have to go to work to provide for their child/ren. If the baby keeps them up, they still have to go to work, because that's life. And people can struggle with all different stages of having children.
  4. Well of course I'm not an OB/GYN, but as I understand it the last pregnancy was very risky too. Of course there are always risks in pregnancy, but it seems that this situation is more dangerous than usual. It's telling that the Maxwells admit they're worried. I hope everything works out for them this time as well.
  5. Melanie Maxwell is pregnant! She is 43, had complications with all of her previous pregnancies and this situation is incredibly high risk. She is due in May. The Maxwells like the Duggars/Bates are quiverfull. I hope she is okay and I wish their family the best.
  6. I recommend Panera's, which is different from some (it has croutons in the soup), but a good starting place. Cute new profile pic!
  7. I was saying the need to remember everything is part of our generation. I've seen other people (not necessarily one generation) freak out over many things so I don't think she's that unusual. YMMV.
  8. I watched the clip and wondered what everyone is reacting to. Yes she was scared of the dentist, but not imo, as scared of being in the same room with a man. She was more afraid of not being able to remember anything. (It seems consistent with her generation and her social media use that she wants to remember basically every moment of her life.) I don't see anything odd in reaction; lots of people are afraid of doctors and dentists.
  9. She dressed up like Pretty Woman once and anyway, you must not have read the bible, the "Pretty Woman" character is exactly the kind of person Jesus used to hang out with.
  10. She's channeling her mother from back-in-the day. As is Joy. Definitely part of the costume.
  11. I didn't realise he and Lauren wore one large ugly sweater to the ugly sweater party. I thought it was two matching sweaters.
  12. So according to FJ, Emily is a granddaughter of one of Michelle's many sisters (not Tyler's grandmother). Her father is apparently Dwain Swanson's partner in his courageous men ministry. Dwain is Josiah's father-in-law.
  13. I notice that both Jessa and Joy are wearing their hair like their mom. He and his brother (?) have both been accused of sexual misconduct.
  14. The same outfit with tan hose instead of black would look so much better. I thought that was her old green shirt, but it's different one than I remembered. This one is more kiwi -colored and patterned. I do like her hair pulled back. In general, I tend not to care either, although I don't take pictures that often.
  15. Allison Bontrager has a post about being positive about being single. She's only 24, but I'm sure that seems older in her world, especially since two of her younger brothers are married with a child each. Her close-in-age older brother is married and expecting his first child, and so is her bestie oldest sibling Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell. (As an older single person) I actually kind of liked her post. She points out that single people can do great things. She says we can dream big and think of things we want outside of marriage. And my favorite part was when she said it helps to be less focused on your "season of life", but on your life as a whole. Of course she put God into all of this, but still a nice post.
  16. I'm surprised that Disney isn't too mainstream for Jill R. I know quite a few fundies who hate Disney (even the old school Disney) for various reasons.
  17. If they could speak Spanish, it would be different. Like I kind-of get guess speaking in Australia to people, but I'm not sure how fluent the people of CA are in English. They hid Jana a bunch of people in a dark corner of that photo. I can't really tell who they are, but maybe the next courtship partner is hiding in there.
  18. @Christina87 I read both of your posts. I'm not sure preaching isn't lucrative. Joel Osteen, Pat Robertson, etc. make a lot of money as televangelists. Jesse Duplantis is a televangelist who was trying grift 54 million for a new private jet. So Jeremy could have ambitions that way (televangelist, not necessarily the 54 million dollar jet)
  19. I loved tonight episode's (12/3/18). If you didn't see, watch the full episode; otherwise you're missing out.
  20. I could easily see the Duggar girls eventually cutting it shorter. I don't think Josie's cut is a big deal. Is Josie really the only Bates with short hair? Isn't Alyssa's hair shorter? Maybe Erin and Alyssa just keep their hair shorter than Jill and Jessa. I think the hair is like the clothes, eventually it too will be modernized. (I also think if they like the way it is, they should stick with it.) I hope some day one of the Duggar/Bates girls move from away from her upbringing in a non-cosmetic ways.
  21. Well the Duggars' main source of income seems to be tv. JB did some kind of property management/ownership to provide for them before the show. (Actually he still owns quite a bit of property.) Gil and Kelly Bates's main source of income for a while was tree service primarily run by their son Lawson. Now they have a tv show. If you go to Free Jinger (FJ), they are quite a few large families that work off doing some sort of "ministry" usually without any formal credentials. (A lot of ministers, priests, rabbis etc. of more established churchs and ministries usually have some education and training to be in the ministry.) Jill and David may seem different to us, but I'm not sure they're that different from others who share their beliefs. Welcome to Fundieland!
  22. Actually he's not "lumped in" with either. The girls have their own cd and Jackson is not singing on that. He and Tyler are a group I guess by themselves.
  23. Mary Kay would not be better. Go to the pinktruth.com and find out how Mary Kay scams people. The amount of money they need upfront plus the pressure of recruting new people makes for a stressful low paying job. The Pink Truth includes stories of people who are many thousands of dollars in debt. Mary Kay would be a disaster for most people including Jill. Avon is better since they don't require things bought upfront and aren't as interested in playing games with their employees. As for Plexus, I'm convinced it's a snake oil. At least Mary Kay and Avon sell make-up, jewelry, etc. Products that are nice to have, but not supposed to necessarily have health benefits. The health supplement industry is criminally under-regulated in America so they can put together whatever they want and call it a "health drink". I wouldn't be surprised if someday Plexus gets into hot water over it's products. Plexus is of course a Christian company. I never heard of it until I started reading up on fundies. I think the founder is fairly fundie himself, which probably attracted Jill to the company. (Also MLM was not a term I'd heard of.) Other fundies also sell Plexus. The only one I can think of right now is Michael Pearl's younger son's wife, Zephyr Pearl, who also appears to sell Plexus.
