  1. Annewithaneee makes good points how awkward it is for queens to eliminate each other. I haven't really disagreed with any of the eliminations so far. That said, I'm wondering if Ru was secretly hoping Manila would save Latrice (although it probably would have been better to put Latrice up for elimination against Gia Gunn). Manila is a great lipsyncer and Monique had a never won a lip sync. Everyone knew Manila would save Latrice and elminate whoever else was in the bottom. But then Ru must have thought Monique won although it was close. (It also occurs to me that Monet must have realised that she was hanging in this competition by the hair of Monique's wig.) That said for people who don't want Trinity to win, she slipped this week. She saved from the bottom by her past wins and maybe a good runway. Anyway it leaves room for other queens to move up in the competition, particularly Manila Luzon and Monique Heart. I hope people who claim they care about seeing someone different win actually support diversity when it counts.
  2. They announced a "temporary suspension of All Star Rules".
  3. I can't remember except she's a fan of Jill's. Fundies love those dolls; it goes with the obssessions of pregnancy, big families, babies, quiverfull, the unborn, etc.
  4. Jill was gifted those dolls from the dollmaker, who also seems to have approached Jill and not vice versa.
  5. I really miss Ross Matthews when he's not here. He's one of my favorite judges. I really liked Naomi this week, and her Wendy Williams (last week) was underated (watched it again: Trinity stole the show). As someone who watches ASMR videos, I loved the judges version of ASMR. Yay! Elton John! Yay! Monique kept her wig on. The elimination was hard.
  6. I know a few people who have lost and gained weight like that especially after turning thirty.
  7. Yes to this, and Anna admitted months ago that she had gained weight.
  8. Carlin Bates has announced she's going to have a father-daughter [dance] with her father Gil Bates. This is a first for a Duggar/Bates kid, as IBLP follows 19th century Baptist traditions of no bous boos bues boze booze, and no dancing. I think it's the first dancing at a wedding unless Johan David and Abby danced.
  9. I'm not sure the books he recommended are particularly meaningful for them. I mean he said they were, but he also talked about weighing 400 pounds. Dave Ramsey (according to reviews) is a Christian financial planner, who mainly talks about paying off debts and not incuring big debts. (Ramsey writes alot about Jesus, but you skip those parts if you want.) Actually interestingly, Mr. Ramsey is against higher education if it means going into debt. (If you can pay for it, then that's different. )
  10. So this video has five guys and the other four. Three of the guys seem to be the same in both vidoes. In the suit video, it seems to be Joe on the end.
  11. Alyssa Bates was a teen bride and she did instill that confidence, however misplaced. Same with her sister Josie. I thought Jana was the most conservative. Or was that Jill? Anyway, Joy seems less conservative to me, and more just a follower of both her headships and the rules.
  12. But they're not posting them merely for family and friends. They're posting them for the public, the fans, and the entire world to coo at. And then using to hide some shady beliefs.
  13. I think she gets a pass, because most people don't know the Bontragers in the same way they know the Duggars or Rods. The Bates get a big pass despite all their stuff. I was like Chelsy in being Judgy in high school; the difference is I outgrew it (mostly) and my parents largely discouraged my judgmentalness (unlike the Bonts or Maxwells). I'm not fooled by the Bontragers. The two things that standout to me is their consistent useful of quiverfull terminology and her brother's blog.
  14. @Jeeves Good point! I would add that this seems preferable to listening to them preach, rant, pontificate, etc.
  15. I thought they were all Duggar boys. I mean the Duggars have a lot of boys and it's their house. But I just looked at the photo carefully and realised that's Lawson Bates and Trace Bates in the background and at least two of the boys on phones are Bates boys.
  16. Sarah Maxwell wished happy anniversary to John and Chelsy on their first anniversary. She is happy for them and the "arrow for the quiver" Chelsy is having in a month. Both the Maxwells, and even more so, the Bontragers love the idea of "quiverfull". For those missing Derick's tweets, you can try reading Chelsy's brother Joshua's blog. He's like Derick only less easy-going and more sheltered.
  17. Well, Jana is no longer the only non-teenager lonely J. As her sister says "Yay!"
  18. If their husbands work for Walmart or one of the other corporations (in the office/corporate headquarters; not in the store), they may have more money.
  19. Jedidiah looks a lot like Jason. They could be twins (except they're not).
  20. In the latest photos, Jessa looks like she might be pregnant, but you never know.
  21. That's a TLC film crew. They're filming at TTH and with many of the "stars" are missing. JB and Michelle are prominently featured and it's their house, so they are getting television money again.
