I am still pretty neutral on Crystal, but I agree it was mature exchange from both parties.

Garcelle isn't forgetting or forgiving. She just has more class than the entire Coven combined, and didn't want to make a bitchy comment when Rinna was pretending to make nice.

Most people don't hate Harry with the same burning passion they hate Lisa. In fact many of us retain some wierd soft spot for him and, heaven knows, you have to feel a little sorry for him married to that shrew. I believe Harry even bothered to comment on a show he likely never watches as much as I believe Erika feels bad for the widows and orphans her lawyers reminded her to comment on. That would be not at all.

But they have POC working I their home and her mom's best friend is black so surely she can't be a racist. I am sure the fact that in all the long years useless Dorit has been on this show she has never yelled at another cast member the way she did at Garcelle has nothing to do with race. I am usually cautious about calling people racist without some solid evidence, since it is, in my mind, one of the worst things you can all someone. So, to be clear, Dog dumper (also one of the worst things a person can be) Dorit is also, IMO, a racist. She should have been fired two seasons ago. I don't care how cute her kids are, I would now prefer Dorit being fired to Kyle. At least Kyle is an equal opportunity phony ass bitch.

Cast and crew at least get this season. Hopefully we are finished with Covid shutdowns so everyone should have a better shot at finding other work. Based on everything I have read about him, Harmon is a decent guy. He did it for the people he has worked with for so long.

There was an actual case of it. I assume this was the inspiration for that plot twist. https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2016/04/28/cerak-vanryn-mistaken-identity-taylor-university/83639026/

S03:E05 Do You Hear What I Hear?
chlban replied to txhorns79's topic in American Crime Story: S03 Impeachment
Except that the press never reported the long time affairs of FDR and Eisenhower, 2 of Kennedys 3 immediate predecessors, At that time the press did not seem to believe it was relevant. It really isn't, as long as it doesn't interfere with the job and does not push the POTUS to commit any illegal acts. I think the first time a POTUS was openly questioned about an affair was Bush 41. He denied once and then steadfastly refused to discuss it at all. Most people have forgotten it was ever discussed. -

Looks like Meghan has remarried and the POTUS is her uncle in-law. -
Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake

Yes, that really does capture what we are seeing with Erika. She isn't directing her anger at Tom, she is essentially giving him excuses. If not for the victims wanting their money, she could keep living her utterly ridiculous life style. And it really was ridiculous. A forty something woman basically paying to be able to dance around and pretend to sing, half naked.- 5.1k replies

Oh, I didn't see that. If so, that's a really big miss for the show since Marilyn died in '62.

Already filming next season so it looks like just more of what we have seen this year. As many have said, no way Erika is fired, she's bringing in the viewers. https://heavy.com/entertainment/real-housewives/rhobh-season-12-filming-start-date/

I don't think that was supposed to be '63. I took it to be right after the 1960 election, probably when JFK was President-Elect. He would have to know about the treaty before taking office. I agree neither actor is particularly convincing though. I also wondered about the later scene of Ike and Mamie eating TV dinners when the news flash of JFK'S shooting came through. He died at 1:30 EST. I guess they could have been eating lunch, but that threw me a bit.

I don't like Beanie in the role either, and it's oddly distracting. The guy playing Clinton has grown on me. He has captured Clinton's mannerisms which makes up for not looking much like him. Of course, most of us know very little about Monica. I think the Paula Jones actress is excellent in the role. But I have to say the Ann Coulter actrss perfect. Looks, voice, that manner of speaking, when I watch I see Ann Coulter on the screen. -

Yeah, the house really struck me. I am sure after all those years she was paid well, but well enough to own that home? I assume DC suburbs are pricey, but maybe not. There is an ex husband too so maybe he pays generous child support? I know that when Linda remarried, she and her husband opened a Christmas shop. -
Kyle cannot get along with anyone besides the morally bankrupt Faye Resnick and, judging from that God awful pink neon sign in Kyle's entry, Faye secretly hates her too.

Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
chlban replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Yep. I only watched this season to see Erika taken down and have been very disappointed. I still cannot get over the contrast to last year. Denise, a grown woman, was accused by Brandi, formerly the biggest liar of the franchise, until Erika grabbed the title from her, of having sex with another consenting adult. They put her on trial. I remember the scene where they were first "confronting" Denise and Denise is asking what they are talking about and Teddi says, OK Erika, l'll tell you "because it's really bad". Really? I am certainly not as openly sexual as Denise. I have never been with another woman and wouldn't be, and I never cheated on my husband. But, why do I, or any other audience member give a flying fig who Denise has sex with? Why is what she allegedly did "really bad"? She didn't force herself on Brandi and they are both consenting adults. No one stole from widows and orphans. No one refused to return stolen money even once they knew it was stolen. No one then pretended to be the true victim. It was, literally nothing. Denise didn't sleep with any if their husbands. Yet big, nasty Erika gets a pass. I want Erika to be brought down. I want the Coven to demand that she "own it". I will not watch another season of them kissing her ass. I don't think I am alone. I just fear Andy is not going to get it and will think Erika should stay. Unless they are going to go after her with all the fervor they went after Denise, I am done as long as Erika remains. I think the reunion will tell us if Andy actually gets it or not.- 5.1k replies

I am enjoying the black and white segments. The period of history of the 50's and 60's has always fascinated me. I was born during the Eisenhower administration. They are doing a good job of portraying these people as they were, Mamie was truly a much more opinionated First Lady than anyone knew. She also had a mean streak. Although I am pretty sure she was never an alien. Ike truly did detest Nixon, which is also portrayed well here. I also sincerely hope that JFK was not taking advice from Marilyn. His wife was a very intelligent, educated woman but the reality is the person he would have discussed it with was Bobby. I am making myself watch the present day parts because I assume there will be some tie ins. I read virtually every book with a JFK conspiracy theory for years (before reluctantly concluding there was no conspiracy) but I must say I never considered aliens. I like how they are solving 2 of the great Mysteries of the 20th century (Earhart and JFK) in a short series. Wonder if they will manage to tie in Michael Rockefeller and Jimmy Hoffa. Taken by aliens?

Now that is funny. And accurate.

She's not speechless, she just caught herself before answering because she hasn't spoken to him since the day she moved out and she had no idea before that about the theft. Oops.

Erika with her, I'll remember who was with me and who was against me bullshit? Along with more threats. Bitch seriously thinks she's Don Corleone. Why Is anyone going to care what you remember? You are not even a tiny bit important and these women hate you. They always have. Along with the vast majority of the audience. -

She outed her own sister as an alcoholic on National Television. Morally bankrupt Faye Resnick seems to be her only lasting friend and, based on Faye's latest home decorating job, I am pretty sure Faye secretly hates her too. LVP was supposedly one of her closest friends and she called her a liar on national television. Kyle is vile. -

Kyle is as bad as Rinna really. They are both totally fake friends and top notch shit stirrers. I would love to see Kathy stay, and Kyle get fired. Along with Rinna, of course. And Dorit. I don't care about Crystal either way and keep Sutton and Garcelle. -
