It's on NBC. Even if the writers have the entire series planned out, they will cancel it before we would ever see it. I watched the first, thought it was less than terrible, have recorded, but not watched the flowing episodes. The lead actress bugs me for some reason and thought the animals looked fake as hell. Maybe I will catch up on the episodes and decide if I keep it on my DVR.

I just loved Garcelle's response when Kathy said she thought she was Kyle. "I get that all the time'.

Same feeling here. Big no to Teddi. At least Dorit brings the ridiculous costumes, um I mean designer wardrobe, but I am fine if she is gone. Just No to Teddi. Yes to Camille.

Real Housewives in the Media
chlban replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Leah was the worst. Ebony was a major buzzkill, but Leah is just trash. They both need to go but if I could only choose one it would be Leah. Then the others could just overtalk Eboni until she gives up and loosens up. Hopefully Eboni is watching ROBH and taking some lessons from fan favorite Garcelle who has been able to discuss issues without coming off as a pompous blowhard -
S03:E07 The Assassination of Monica Lewinsky
chlban replied to a topic in American Crime Story: S03 Impeachment
And Monica was still, in many ways a child. She was a spoiled only child of divorced parents who obviously coddled her in many ways. As you said at least she seems to have learned. Bill Clinton had a fairly succesful Presidency, but will always be remembered as the guy that couldn't keep it in his pants. -
S03:E07 The Assassination of Monica Lewinsky
chlban replied to a topic in American Crime Story: S03 Impeachment
I keep thinking of how behaviors look with the passage of time, and more important maturity. I am ashamed to say I never gave much thought to Monica's feelings when I was laughing at Leno's, and other, jokes. I did stupid things in my 20's that I am not proud of. Yes sleeping with married person is wrong, but I have always felt the married person was the "most wrong", because they are the ones breaking a promise. She found herself in the orbit of the most powerful man in the world. A crush doesn't surprise me, what does is Clinton being so freaking smug or stupid. If you are going to cheat in the White House, at least stick to mature women. And then to lie, under oath about it? Really disgusting on every level. Monica is right about one thing, he owes her an apology. -
She reportedly gets $600,000 a year for a part time job. That's independent of what her current sugar daddy pays her for her other part time job. She still has at least a small Glam squad and an effing Assistant, which totally baffles me. What does she need an assistant for? She lives in a home worth millions even if it is rented and drives a brand new Range Rover. I honestly don't know how anyone keeps a straight face when she tries to pretend she is poor.

I remember reading years ago that Mamie was intensely jealous of the attention Jackie got during the election and was furious she was going to take Mamie's "position". When the Kennedy's visited the Eisenhowers after the election, as was customary, it was 2 weeks after Jackie had given birth via a C-section and Jackie had very difficult pregnancies. Kennedy's people had requested a wheelchair for Jackie when Mamie gave her the tour. The wheelchair was provided by the WH and Mamie hid it in a closet. Jackie was too polite or too embarassed to ask, so the tour took quite a toll on her physically. Later, when this came out Mamie was asked why she did it and she responded that Jackie never asked for it. So, while I doubt she was as bad as this show portrayed her, she was not a very nice person. On that note my favorite line of the night was when they were discussing getting Nixon to resign and Mamie says "can't you just kill him?" I really did lol at that one And Mamie as Deep Throat? Too funny. OTOH, I did think Eisenhower was portrayed as a fairly decent guy-other than that when selling American citizens to Aliens-but at least he felt bad😀😃 My second favorite line if the night was when he said, basically I don't know what I regret the most, the Alien Tracy or paving the way for HIM to be President. Maybe Murphy should try comedy?

Of course they are beneficial. She is pushing the idea of a head injury as yet another excuse for his vile actions.

The law agrees with you. Even legitimate charities had to return money in aftermath of the Madoff Ponzi scheme.

This. It baffles me that the entire argument from the Coven and Erika's fans seems to be she didn't know what Tom was doing. OK, so if I accept that premise, I am left with a woman that was blindsided to find out her husband stole money from widows and orphans. Where is the anger, not at her cast mates or viewers, how about to Tom? If she chooses to make excuses for him, then I at least expect horror and empathy. "Oh my God Tom did something awful due to his Dementia". But, nope. What I see is a nasty bitch telling ridiculous lies that don't even seem to have a point, feeling sorry for herself, instead of the victims, not even willing to discuss returning some of the stolen money, posting half naked pictures of herself on social media, because nothing says "I feel your pain" like spreading your legs and putting on a pair of $2,000 shoes and little else on Instagram. It us all about Erika and her tragic life, living in a multi million dollar home, driving around in a brand new Range Rover, and still maintaining a glam squad and an "assistant". Assistant for what? She could have handled this thing completely different and generated at least some sympathy, or at least not the level of abject hate she is facing. Erika cares for Erika. She is a vile, self centered exhibitionist with a frightening temper. She has also proven herself to be such a liar that NOTHING she says in court will ever be believed. Yet she still thinks she is the smartest person in the room.
-
Exactly. Even if she knew nothing she should be horrified and angry. I believe Garcelle said something about that too. Why isn't she mad at TOM? She's mad at the lawyers the press and the victims. They ruined her gig.

It wasn't the same night. Her son rolled his car the night Tom bravely fought off a Burglar, when it was snowing. Tom rolled his car, was unconscious and could not have surgery because Erika called her friend and her friend said not to do it and you know how Doctor's always take advice from random guys on the phone telling them surgery is not needed. It wasn't snowing when Tom rolled his car

Allegedly.

S03:E07 The Assassination of Monica Lewinsky

I am not surprised at all. For all her obvious intelligence, Hillary has always been an idiot when it comes to Bill. Women like that always make me sad. -
Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake

Is it coincidence she is being linked to Vegas Casino owners? Maybe she has visions of bringing her ridiculous Erika Jayne crapshow to Vegas?- 5.1k replies

I volunteer at an animal shelter. If we had access to and room for Andy Warhol prints or $7,000 earrings would be pushing them too. That kind of money could save some lives. As it is, we have boutiques with mostly home made goods, and meatball sandwich fundraisers. Whatever else can be said of LVP, she has saved dogs and that makes her OK in my book. Dog Dumper Dorit should have been the villain that season anyway and LVP should have just said so. What Dorit did was reprehensible. Lisa would have taken the dog back, just as we always do, no matter what. That's what reputable rescues do.

Nicole Sheridan, Harry's ex? I have to admit that would bring me back for another season so matter who else they keep.

She did not get through that amount of plastic surgery without strong prescription drugs. That can be problematic for people with no history if addiction. I was fed up with Kim's adfiction and denial and was glad she left, but I wish her the best. I just don't know If Kim ever really gets that she has a problem, which makes it unlikely she will get better, but I sincerely hope I am wrong.

I wonder if Harry realizes how many people would be very happy if he confirmed this. Not because it would humiliate Lisa *although that is a plus), but because he is so much better liked and we would be glad to know he isn't really living his entire love life with that shrew. Maybe we could start a "Free Harry" movement.

I agree with almost all of this, except I do think Dorit is a racist. If I were forced to say something nice about Kyle it's that I do not think she is a racist. She is a horrible friend, period, but I don't think race plays a part in it. Not entirely sure if Rinna is a racist either, but I totally believe she made the comment. But because Lisa is determined to bring down anyone and seems to have a particular focus on actresses more succesful than she. But your point is well taken. I actually quit watching NY-my former favorite-this season. I have had zero issues with how race has been handled here and I enjoyed both Garcelle and Crystal's comments on race and ethnicity.

Don't worry, Erika thinks ONLY of herself. Why should she have more empathy than anyone else? First of all, it's not about more than anyone, it's about having even an ounce empathy, which she does not. Self absorbed Dorit shows more empathy. And whether or not Erika fully knew or understood what Tom did, she benefitted from the stolen money. Again, a normal human being with an ounce of decency, would be horrified to know that money meant for true victims went to pay for a vanity project, tacky clothes a glam squad and some stupid stage "show".

Amen.
