  1. I would hate to have played this season under the illusion that there was a level playing field (no pun intended) only to find out about this. of course, there was that season where the twins were switching out that could somewhat compare but it was disclosed during the season so the other house guests could adjust. I think reality TV has gone to Cirie's head because she seems to have a sense of entitlement that has become more evident now that the tide has gone against her somewhat. I get her devotion to her son but it's too bad she didn't have a clearer vision of how he would present himself and avoided doing this with him.
  2. anyone who wants to see a demonstration of a misogynist charming a seemingly strong woman and then gas lighting her to tears need only watch Jared's treatment of Blue. I cringe watching him and want to reach through my TV and shake some sense into her. and would someone please tell me what the bandanna worn as a babushka is all about?
  3. did I miss something. what's with the babushka that Jared is wearing? that's what it was always called in "my day". and finally, someone is dressing Julie better. So far, her outfits have been very classy and pretty.
  4. remember it wasn't a "hard no" on pregnancy. maybe she'll get pregnant and put off going this year. I hope they don't move to Baltimore. and I hate that they are cutting the cast. Frankly, Abishola is probably my least favorite character. she's got everything from this relationship...a nice house, her mother living with them, a husband that bows to her every wish. to me, she's a selfish bitch.
  5. Bittersweet ending. But it's clear that performing is the most important thing in her life. When going over her schedule about performing in England, they say Dec. and she says "I want to be in NY for the holiday" but then says if necessary Dec. will be ok. Then having to work every possible time. Why was she still so driven? Even Susie seems to be enjoying herself more.
  6. my thought about the call was maybe it was Jack Parr calling because they needed someone at the last minute.
  7. I think Frannie made the right move winning the challenge. If her team mates thought for one minute she threw it on purpose, she'd have all of them gunning for her. She may have even realized that being part of a duo was a detriment to her game, despite really wanting him to stay. If it was calculated on her part, then I say good for her. She's there to win first and foremost. Matt will still be around at the end.
  8. per the code of Federal Regulations: Physician means a doctor of medicine; doctor of osteopathy; doctor of dental surgery or of dental medicine; doctor of podiatric medicine; or doctor of optometry who is legally authorized to practice medicine, osteopathy, dental surgery, dental medicine, podiatric medicine, or optometry by the State in which he performs such function and who is acting within the scope of his license when he performs such functions. as to Matt. I think he made his shoulder worst by the challenges. I know he wanted to prove he could still compete, but I cringed when I saw him do some of the things he did during the challenges.
  9. it looks to me to be a birth mark called cafe au lait. An increase in the number of skin cells (melanocytes) that produce the protective pigment that darkens skin (melanin) in the thin outer layer of your skin (epidermis) causes café-au-lait (CAL) spots they are usually harmless unless you have a bunch of them which can indicate a serious disorder. my son has one around his heel so isn't as noticeable.
  10. I'm accepting the Will character now but I like him as a separate entity. I'm having a much harder time accepting Angie. In the books she's so flawed and just comes back to screw up Will's life whenever she feels she's losing control of him. It's difficult to find her likable for me.
  11. my favorite line of this episode was when Frank told Bill he traded one of his guns for the packet of seeds and when Bill started to react, Frank said "it was just one of the little ones". You see what each brings to the relationship...Bill protects, Frank expands their life.
  12. no nothing of the game. at first wondered why the episode was focusing on these men, then totally hooked. beautifully told love story.
  13. writing needs to get a little stronger. as soon as the woman at the school was introduced, I knew she was in on it. love Betty.
  14. the juxtaposition of Betty's size compared to Will's is lost because of the casting. I'm going to accept it won't be anything like the books and just take it for what it is.
  15. Quentin have ulterior motives. What made me suspect him was when Tanya said, as she toured the villa, something to the effect of it's nice to be with people who are rich so she didn't need to worry they were after her money. Bells went off when I heard that.
  16. yeah, I kind of feel that way, too. but then remember they are constantly having to wonder who is lying, who to trust, etc. it must hit a nerve to be reminded of people you didn't have to do that with.
  17. love the twins and their "can do" attitude. so sorry one is hurt so bad. I cringe watching her try to walk and run.
  18. Glenda and Lumumba all the way for me! have watched this show with my son as he grew up and I always pointed out the couples who were able to maintain respect and consideration all the way. though, it's true none of the other couples have treated each other very badly, the newlyweds are the epitome of support and encouragement. while they may not win the race, they certainly won finding each other.
  19. I started to read the parade interview of Dom and Rich but only got about half way because it was insufferable. they can try to spin it any way they want, but giving up without even trying will never seem motivational to me. I, too, was appalled at Sharik. apparently, she's on social media telling people to be nice because she's "neurodivergent" which was a term used for autism spectrum disorders but has been expanded to include others. being a rather anxious person myself, I'm not downplaying her disorder, but I have to wonder why she thought she could do this show. the constant interruptions to circadian rhythms and lack of sleep is devastating to anyone, so I imagine it would only be worse for someone like her. it's why I recognize I could never do this show, I need my sleep!'' but I don't think anxiety explains her complaints about her arms hurting so much. that was a fairly easy physical task. she should be happy she didn't need to search hay rolls for a clue....remember the poor player that did that for hours and Phil finally had to come out and tell her they were out of the race, but she had not given up. plus, I think most people were more appalled at how she acted whining to her father than anything else. it seemed to me Derek was the only one doing it with some thought. once the big pieces were gone, he switched to smaller tools, and he was even using sand paper to smooth areas. the rest kept hammering away with the big mallet and chisel.
  20. Was yelling at TV when Cody talked about maybe it was a mistake keeping neka. of course it was. she was a lovely person but totally unable to do anything at the challenges. I liked Justine and wish she was still on. and how could they not know that Noelle was more than capable? if they spent anytime talking to her at all they would have learned about her wins. plus, she looks athletic.
  21. I learned on a stick shift. the worst was when you were going uphill and had to stop. I remember having to put the parking brake on until I felt that point where you shift then take off the parking brake while giving gas. don't know how I'd so on a stick today. somehow, I think it would come back.
  22. I liked most of the teams so far. except for Rex and Derek and Claire, the rest seem pretty diverse occupation wise. at least it's not all Youtube or Tik Tok people.
  23. but he's not good in geometry. generally speaking you have to have some worldly curiosity to seek information out. Kyle does not.
  24. yes for all those who say racism doesn't exist, they should look at the Taylor and Monte when they heard what Kyle said. it was like a 1000 lb. weight was put on them. I had a supervisor who used to describe being followed around Walmart whenever she and her boyfriend shopped there. she was probably making more than the manager at the time. I can't imagine experiencing that. that being said, remember where Kyle grew up. here is the demographic of Utah: White: 85.14% Other race: 5.10% Two or more races: 4.24% Asian: 2.32% Black or African American: 1.21% Native American: 1.05% Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 0.93% I'm not absolving him, just cutting him a bit of a break for lack of exposure having lived such a sheltered life. in fact, his naivete in putting Middle Easter Joseph and Brazilian Indy in a Cook Out kind of alliance shows. I think he's more ignorant than outright racist.
  25. she'll stay with him as long as social media is interested in them as a couple, then it will be over. Jackson and Holly lasted a year...and that was another odd coupling.
