  1. add me to the group who literally screamed "play the idol" at Hunter. I liked him a lot. I didn't begrudge him his practice survivor at home. agree Q is too much. If he's not voted out, could they please edit him out. I guess I'd like to see Charlie or Tiff win.
  2. I liked the twins. I racked up when in what should have been the heat of competition the one doing the pick stopped and appreciated, the pretty bird. I like when racers appreciate what they experience.
  3. I wish someone could explain Jem’s thinking in tricking the tribe like she did and making them dig for three days.what did she hope to gain? Then we find out they actually killed a tree and she thinks it’s funny! Good riddance. In the interview she talks about growing up in a domestic violence situation yet she has no qualms about putting tired, hungry people through that ordeal and laughs about it? No wonder Ben was worried she had a machete.
  4. I loved seeing Hunter nail the sandbags. It doesn’t bother me that he practiced all those things. Everyone else had the same opportunity to prepare. It’s like getting to Survivor and not being able to make a fire. They all know there’s a chance they may need to do a fire challenge yet most can’t do it at all when they get there and don’t use their time there learning how either.
  5. I didn't really understand the big threat of telling her tribe he lied. duh, they are all playing survivor and lie. so what? but he was also an idiot for considering what would benefit him in the merge on the very first day. you have to get there first. I was amazed in the water challenge that they didn't even try using their hands to cover the holes. Jess was actually making progress on the puzzle but she was doing it alone. so I'm glad they kept her. but the puzzle peole weren't the only ones making mistakes. anyone trying to pull the head of the gecko over was wasting time and energy. I just hope they don't become like the tribe last season that kept losing and was decimated by merge.
  6. I'm the outlier. didn't really enjoy the show but I was very happy with Nicole win. she's always been under rated and it was good to see her beat everyone. maybe it's that new mother instinct.
  7. I like Jake. I felt sorry for how he was demeaned throughout the show. I wish he would have pointed out at final tribal that despite everything, he was the one sitting up there (at least getting a third place prize). but I knew he was going to tell Austin about the idol. I attribute some of that to the wine. He could have decided who to take out if he kept it a secret. While I think Dee deserved to win, I didn't like her much. She seemed to take so much delight in the plight of the others. I guess she was loyal to Julie but in the end she even hedged that by saying she couldn't write her name down. I think she's a calculating type and I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Austin showmance was a ploy. we certainly didn't see her doing any soul searching before deciding to lie to him. I can only hope he came to his senses after he learned about it and cooled the relationship.
  8. what was interesting to me was that Austin felt he had to tell Dee about the vote or she would "never trust him again" and it would hurt the relationship. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Dee tell Julie, without telling Austin, and even said she had to vote for Julie so the others wouldn't know, to keep up the deception? so it seems she has less concern about an eventual relationship.
  9. If anyone made a drinking game out hearing "c'mon Dad" they'd be an alcoholic by now. So glad that is over. I was truly expecting the life guard to jump in for Steve or many times I expected him to just keel over. I mean the man was panting so hard while still trying to keep up, he had no more in the tank and all we heard was the constant, c'mon Dad. and I don't know why they had so many problems with navigation. Dublin isn't that big. I was at that cathedral and it started raining and I couldn't get an uber so walked back to my hotel on the other side of the city and while not pleasant it didn't take that long. Putting herself in such stressful situations is not good for AL. I know, because I would probably be the same. it's why when Phil comes on and does the promo encouraging people to submit applications to be on the race, I laugh to myself. I could not hack it. Count me on the Rob and Corey side for the win. Such an inspiring father and son. That being said, I would be truly sorry for the beard team because I also love their attitudes. I like the brothers a lot, too and wouldn't be upset if they won. However, they better be careful about the bragging. All I could think of when they were professing such confidence are all the times people got bad cab drivers, bad directions, flat tires, etc. too much hubris can get you. as to the driving, my brother who is left handed and a real motor head said driving in Ireland was a real challenge. as someone else said, using the right to shift all those years does is embedded.
  10. I couldn't understand why Ashlie kept putting greenery on her wreath once she saw the others taking off way before her. at that point she should have stuck the flowers on it and got it checked. that lost the race for them.
  11. anyone who ever watched a Survivor auction knows you should bet on the first item because as far as I remember, it's always been something good.
  12. Reilly was practically salivating to show Matt how much he means to her. wonder how much devotion $75,000 will buy. I guess they can milk it for awhile like a lot of showmance couples. totally agree about Frankie, ugh.
  13. I really dislike the teams shouting at the drivers over and over to go faster. It was rude and dangerous. I can understand saying to go fast once when they get on, but to constantly shout it during the ride is pointless and smacks of the ugly American stereotype. I liked the brothers but as others said they never seemed to be pushing themselves which I found odd since they were both veterans. I expected them to dominate the tasks. but they seemed like nice guys overall. as for AL, I agree the yelling at her father is annoying but you can't take anything away from her as far as doing tasks. I was laughing at the others complaining about the task's physicality and there was AL just cycling along like it was a Sunday ride in the park.
  14. the minute I saw the veto challenge I knew Felicia and Cerie didn't have a chance. I was really hoping they'd at least have some chance to win it. I would have loved to see Bowie have to sit on the block.
  15. so glad Rob and Corey made it through. Seeing how much joy being in the race is bringing to Rob is a delight. I'm sure they want to win, but Rob just seems like he is enjoying the experience so much. I also have come to admire Andrea, and Malania. no drama, just get the job done attitude. As for AL, she puts her money where her mouth is. good for her. her father must be used to her talking to him like that and takes it in stride.
  16. when Ryan Lochte was on they had a swim spa for him to keep in shape. wonder why they haven't done it for Mat
  17. Blue always came off to me as someone who is looking to parlay this into a social influencer career. I'm sure she'd like to win but to me it looks like she is eyeing what else she can get out of it. The snapping, yo girl stuff is so blatant. Even the showmance with Jared. Jared in an interview said he was planning to move LA before the show (gee, going into the family business?), but he plans to keep involved with Blue. They both know there's some mileage in being a couple so will milk that I'm sure. I have the same suspicions about America and her showmance.
  18. this is why I'm so glad Jared left. Cameron may be a creep but you can see that a mile away. Jared is a gas lighter. blame the victim so she apologizes. it's far more insidious, as this demonstrates.
  19. did anyone else notice Jared commented something along the lines he hoped it wasn't the last time he saw Julie? Looks like he's hoping to milk the CBS reality wagon. yuck. wonder if his girlfriend will be so supportive now he's out of the running for the big money. hopefully, now that he's gone Blue will regain some self-esteem.
  20. I guess they aren't allowed any medication? Sounds like Brandon takes acid blocking medication at home and he can't there. so he's getting a bad acid rebound reaction especially with the stress induced acid production. GERD pain can be like a heart attack so I don't envy him. Hannah probably smoked as many cigarettes as she could while she could and figured this experience would be her way to get off nicotine. big mistake. as a long time quitter of them, there are still stressful times when I miss having one to smoke. she must have been really suffering. and even when I was younger I realized I could never go on Survivor. My idea of camping is anything less than a Holiday Inn.
  21. Hopefully the jury house bedroom doors have locks.
  22. oh the old "he's only doing what he needs to do, but he really loves me" fantasy. well, he' still able to win the money so I can see her at least hanging on until he's out of the running.
  23. glad I'm only reading this here. If I had seen it in real time I would probably lost my lunch. He is pathological. I know it's a game with a lot of psychology involved, but his persecution complex is unreal and his desire to blame her is scary. I hope his girlfriend at home is watching and comparing this to how he treats her and they both dump him in the end.
  24. I can not emphasize enough how much Jared annoys me. The way he turns everything on Blue....as if she doesn't have a right to try to win for herself. Cam may be a creep but it's not hidden. Jared is a manipulative misogynist mamma's boy and I'm so ready for this "great twist" to be over. and for heaven's sake is no one wondering why Cirie is cheering him on so enthusiastically, giving him verbal encouragement, and who reacted so strongly to find out he's coming back?
