  1. Great post Celia Rubenstein. I've always wondered why Kody isn't tired of the tears. To most men that gets so old, so fast, but it probably strokes his ego and most of the time I am sure it is to puff up his ego or empathize with him, but still. At some of those dreadful backyard meetings, you can see him staring at her in rapt attention while she begins her Dry Cry routine. I think he is unfamiliar with her brand of manipulation, which probably just looks like 'keep sweet' to him. Meri was more vindictive/mean. Christine was the true 'keep sweet' and then she woke up. Janelle was his best bud. There is part of me that wonders, at one point if the scales will fall from Kody's eyes. Both Kody and Robyn are triangulators. What happens when there is no 3rd party to play up against? Someone on another site said Robyn is starting to look like the old man from UP and I lost it.
  2. I think at this point it is a veritable fact that no ONE man can successfully parent that many children. Just can't be done! Add in Kody's ego and whatever other undiagnosed personality disorder he has and it is a recipe for disaster. The only think scarier than his half-assed/no-assed parenting of the OG wives offspring is the scary love and hyper focus on Robyn's kids. There is a real Flowers in the Attic vibe happening over there. For some strange inexplicable reason, I used to have hope for Breanna. I don't know what it was about her but I thought for some reason, she might not be drinking the Robyn-aid, but all hope was dispelled after seeing her sofa session last episode. Just Robyn in training. I finally have to admit that Robyn is just an enigma to me. I really don't know if her endgame was being a monogamous marriage with Kody OR whether she realized her machinations worked too well because being Queen Bee w/out lowly subjects is wholly unsatisfying (plus TLC $$$). But no doubt, she a very manipulative person. Hell, if I had half her manipulative skills and better legs, I'd be trickin' off Bezos or at least a lesser Microsoft/IT exec (w/stock options). To be clear, I don't think Robyn was smart enough to get anyone much better. She got in where she fit in. Anyone who thinks "My Sisterwives Closet" can be a growing business concern outside a Warren Jeffs Compound is a total moron. Kody keeps using the word 'betrayal' in reference to his kids' X-mas visit: In truth, he just wants a good old fashioned, old world religion style shunning for all those who go against him. That's it. For any real housewives fans, he is the male version of Ramona Singer of RHONYC. The whole alcoholic analogies were just weird.
  3. Happy at the news, but also tempered by it being a separation. After all, she has left and come back before. I do think her hesitation to divorce has something to do with finances and worry over an 'estate' to leave her children and grand babies. No doubt she has been screwed over. I think at this point she can't possibly be made whole, but maybe just slightly less fucked! Of all the wives, I hope Janelle is the one to write a true tell all and really delves into and exposes all the financial chicanery of the Family Brown. I remain baffled over that clusterbuck! I want her to mention it all!
  4. There is just no bottom when it comes to Kody. Poor Gabe. I was curious about the timing of that call. Did Kody just call to shoot the shit and talk about Covid or was it only in relation to Covid coming to Chez Robyn's and wanting to compare notes? It all sucks, but the latter sucks like a Dyson vacuum. I really hope Janelle seeing her son's pain wakes her up and makes it the last straw for her. I really hope the kids don't watch this mess. Kody crying about not being able to see one of Robyn's daughters for 10 days - while she lives under the same roof with him - was a total gut punch coming from the dude who flippantly stated his underage daughter with chronic pain could get on a plane ALONE to get freakin' back surgery BY. HERSELF. in NJ. Utterly disgusted and mind boggling. Did the tender age kids just go trick or treatin' at several doors (and cars) of their own home? It has been one of the better season, but sweet Jebus when does end? It feels interminable. Lawd, another jacked up preview. Feels like we are finding out that the sunken place has many sub-basements occupied by Kody.
  5. After 17 long seasons, we finally get the money shot!! I'm ready for 2 cigs and I don't even smoke. How is that Robyn got the proceeds of Janelle and Meri's LV home sales, but Kody declared a season or 2 ago that Robyn always gets the scraps! Gimme some of them scraps please. Mommy needs a new home too! Oh Robyn, Christine leaving has caused collateral damage that will last generations to come? This is Robyn's Chernobyl. Translation: she may not be able to afford the nanny anymore and be forced to raise her own tender aged kids and get up before noon. Cut down on figurine purchases? Or horror of horrors? Gasp - get a job.
  6. WORST. EXIT. INTERVIEW. EVER. I actually gasped this episode when Kody said about Ariella, and I quote: "She is a little girl that I am actually very proud of." Maybe he didn't mean it to come off this way, but given that I doubt that he is around or participates much with the other 2 non-Robyn kids of tender age, Savannah and Truly, my heart broke for them. He hadn't even bothered to go over and see Truly after being away for weeks in NC. What a shit stain of a male (not man, male). Speaking of, just for shits and giggles: So I guess the consensus is that "The sacrifices I made to love you ... wasted!" isn't the 2022 version of "You complete me" from the the Jerry Maguire movie. Noted! How Robyn came away from that meeting not bloodied and bruised is a testament to Christine's therapist, self-help books and inner-core of loveliness. Because me? I would've dog walked that bitch! Pardon my rant but how TF is Robyn gonna ask about future friendship? Didn't she just sit there and call Christine a liar? But more importantly, if they don't have a relationship after 10 years of sharing the same dick, living in the same cul-de-sac or just miles away from each other then why in the every loving hell would you have one once Christine left and moved out of state?!?! That was more a manipulation tactic meant to set Kody off and it worked. No Meri fan, but I believe it was no more her idea to bring in Robyn than it was her idea to divorce Kody and let Robyn be the only legal wife. Oh don't worry about that. Christine leaving is the new 'catfish' but with more mileage. They will be dining on this for the foreseeable future. This!
  7. This is probably telling in and of itself. Probably chose it because he has more than 1 and can spare it as long as he has the other functioning one - robyn.
  8. Real talk: Something tells me that if Truly were old enough to provide help for Robyn: i.e., cook, clean, and babysit the chosen ones, they would've found the room. Robyn wasn't living in a mcmansion when 2 of Christine's daughters moved in with her to 'help'. For any of her sister wives children, there is only room at the inn if they come in servitude. Whatever type of therapy and self help books Christine invested in to help her get through the bullshite that was that meeting on Satan's back porch were worth every dime, because I can tell you in no uncertain terms, my ass would've been going to jail the moment Robyn and her goiter called me a liar and proceeded to tell me about my marriage. HOW. F'ING. DARE. SHE!!! In the end, Christine's method was the best way to handle it. Her house is sold, practically empty and she is days away from putting all that BS in her rear view window. Sobby and Kody ain't worth it! Pay those fools dust. Frankly, the more over it and disengaged she is, the angrier they get, which is fun for me. LOL! Sobyn made up a complete conversation in her mind. She came over looking for any opportunity to fight. Did she really think any little technical detail she brought up would stop what was happening?!?! Is there a word worse than pathetic? Because that is what Meri is. Whatever team that is opposite Sobyn/meri and Kody is the winning team! Christine is the light/heart of the family and they know it.
  9. My main problem with that condo is that it looks like it hasn't been renovated since it was owned by a cocaine dealer (who got high on his own supply) in the 80s. DATED!
  10. Frankly, I think it is because he is able to reduce Gabe to tears and make him emotional. Gabe seems to honestly want a relationship with his dad. To a narc like Kody it shows him that he has some degree of power over Gabe and some part of him probably gets off on being withholding. Paedon and Garrison seem more angry mixed with disgusted by Kody. I like to think Janelle was home and just turned off the lights and crab walked/skittered about her RV to avoid any contact with Robyn (how's that for social distancing?).
  11. I agree with this. I believe half the "fun" for her was having a "prize" the other wives wanted. No matter what though she is in the catbird seat and I don't see why she would leave. She doesn't work, doesn't really raise her kids, wakes up a noon and lives in a 7 bdrm mansion.
  12. Be careful. If you are carrying more than 32 oz in feminine douche products that may technically qualify as a Kody. If you are carrying 24 oz AND a canoe - you're screwed! I really want to know how Janelle thought everything was going work out at Coyote Pass? Did she think the prairie dog's had little electrical outlets under their tails she could just plug into?
  13. Christine did get in one zinger though. When Janelle, of all people, stated concern about Truly losing the closeness she had with King Sol and Arianna by moving, Christine said that Truly will be with the people she is closest to and love her the most and rattled off the names of all the family she had living in Utah. Loved it! At first I was a bit disappointed that Christine wasn't going off on Kody and the other wives (the ones that deserve it) but now I see the big picture. I think being dispassionate and so calm really emphasizes and shows how fucking over and done with the BS she is. No one play manipulative word play, set you off, get you on the defensive and make you act outside yourself when you really have no more fucks to give and that is the energy Christine is giving and I am loving it (and learning from it).
  14. Not only was it too cold to visit his kids (never too cold to chop wood though), but apparently the jackass can't be bothered to call or text either. I wonder if Ysabel is on the group chats with the clique? Goodness, I hope so. Kody: I don't love you, trust, and don't find you attractive. Never have! Plus, your mean and I don't want to have intimacy with you ever again Christine: OK, I am leaving and want a divorce Kody: ... and then proceeds to play little tests and games to gauge if she is indeed serious. I mean, how can a woman resist all that rejection and misery? Kody quiet quit all other wives, except Robyn about a decade ago. It actually made me sad to hear that Kody said that Ysabel was far more social and had a big friend group compared to Robyn's daughters. Those girls are being forced and socialized to make Kody their world. It is frankly disgusting and bad parenting. If the self-proclaimed scapegoat of the Brown Family had an ailment that prevented her from watching her own kids, working outside the home, cooking and clean I firmly 100% believe she would have bleated it out a million times (with tears to match) already. When has Robyn ever passed on the chance to get on the cross?
  15. Season 17 and they are asking a question everyone has known the answer to by at least the end of S1, or S2 at the latest. What is interesting to me is that the question has, if not been asked outright, been floated about and then flat out denied, but never, ever has any of the wives flat out said that Robyn was the favorite. So progress?!?! Oh to be a fly on the wall of the non-Robyn/Kody clique group chat. It pains me to see Christine so appreciative over the less than crumbs Kody provides. It is not like he apologized for treating her like shit and taking her for granted but it brought her to tears nonetheless. I swear Robyn's neck must grow a millimeter wider for each lie she tells. I remember in the past, that a wife commented that Robyn would text or call while he was with the other wives too. I'm telling you, the whole pay $20 rather than lose $200 sounded like Robyn's logic coming out of the Kodster's pie hole. Maybe Kody should look back on all the money Christine saved him by providing free childcare over the many decades but of course not. One of the best moments of the show for me: Janelle (and her boys) has gotten mad disrespectful and rude to Kody and I am loving it.
  16. THIS. Can we talk about the hell that would ensue if while Rinna was selling her tacky ass velour tracksuits on QVC some HW then proceeded to call into HSN and order a velour track suit from her good friend Kathy Ireland or Vanessa Williams (IDK who TF has clothing lines)? Bitch... the earth would shake and the sun would fall out of the sky. Bitch knew exactly WTF she was doing!!!
  17. Among all the unfavored wives, Meri, Janelle and Christine, I gotta admit that I pegged Christine as the least likely to leave also. She did strike me as a true believer in the faith but I guess she finally saw the light and brava to her.
  18. Yes. This lives rent free in my head too. It was the time he took Meri out to dinner for her b-day or an anniversary and said plural marriage with one wife and several husbands would be vulgar and unnatural. Jackass!
  19. I gotta admit that I thought of a soap opera during those scenes. It reminded me of a big culmination or reveal when the main character finally finds out about the baby switch or changing DNA results. Is it wrong that part of me wants this and would watch the shit out of it! Oh and he would taller and better looking than Kody, with an actual profession, his own money (lots of it and invests it wisely), adores the shit out Christine and she him, spoils her rotten and they can barely keep their paws off each other. Make it so universe (and one for me too).
  20. I was so damn livid last night though. This is a question for Robyn. Who doesn't work and has a friggin' nanny. MFer what!?!? Christine was the one babysitting 50-11 children. I can't with the bitch. He had flames licking at the side of my face.
  21. Wow! I'm almost embarrassed to say that I was riveted by that conversation b/w the Kodster and Christine. RIVETED! This episode is worth a re-watch. I was flabbergasted to learn that Christine had a night job back in Lehi! She is is taking care of the kids during the day and working at night and Kody can't even be bothered to tuck in or even check in on the kids. My thought was also, Janelle's ass can't return the favor and lumber over to tuck in those kids?!?! I was made to believe that Christine was 100% a stay at home mom. Also WTF, should she be also looking after Robyn's kids if Robyn was indeed stay at home and didn't work!!! Hold up! I thought that Kody said many seasons ago that he never discussed his relationship with one wife with other sister wives because it can cause strife?!? But now, we actual see him not only sit down with Robyn to discuss his non-relationship with Christine but also say about her, and I quote: "...she has a nature of understanding relationships and how to make them work." Is it any wonder that all of his other relationships are now in shambles and the only functional relationship, and legal marriage is his and Robyn's!! Funny how that works! Christine's quiet resolve was a thing of beauty but yeah, I wish she had some of the same energy in her TH in her meeting with Kody! But yes Christine named it! I think this was the 1st time in series history that a wife named Robyn as the fave wife. They always alluded to a fave, but never said the name out loud, like Voldemort (which she also is). I wish she had said that in her meeting. Also, how he failed to be there for Ysabel during back major surgery, which was fucking despicable! Christine bought her home and Kody's name wasn't on the deed. That was probably the 1st thought in Robyn's head. Christine's probably sold at the top of the market when everything was going far above asking and I hope she pocketed it all and gave nary a dime to Kody/Robyn. Losing Christine is a blow to his ego, and I think he enjoys being withholding and having wives beg and plead for his attention and affection. Plus, now he can't say he has 4 wives. I swear that scene lives rent free in my head and was the start of my strong dislike of Robyn, which has really become justified as the show unfolded and the other marriages devolved into further dysfunction. Another scene that really cements it all for me was last season after he came home from Janelle's mom's funeral and being quarantined and greeted Robyn, it was the 1st time I saw him really, really happy and show such warmth and affection to a wife. Robyn is his only wife, his true love and his home. He needs to stop lying!
  22. She has such thin legs. I was looking at them while she was ridiculously trying to get into the van last night in a short dress and open toed high heels in the dead of winter in Aspen and thought to myself, "the last time I saw legs like that they were dangling out of a nest." LOL!
  23. Attorney's get disbarred for one, JUST ONE, instance of shit like this and that MFer was doing this shit for decades! I am so livid. Where TF was the CA bar association?!? Oh yeah right, being wined and dined by Girardi. It is really disgusting and they too should be made to answer for sweeping all client complaints under the rug and not doing (or rather refusing to do) their proper due diligence. I had no issue with Kathy wearing slippers on a plane or through the airport, but it got weird once she left the airport in Aspen because ... hello, it is cold, there's snow on the ground and probably ice. Kyle so wants to be the cool aunt with Paris and Nicky.
