  1. 3/5 Wed, Thurs & Fri., so 0*.
  2. There didn't seem to be too many ts's today. My only get was the missed DD of Enigma. I did say horses for FJ but wasn't too sure about it - it might have been bison. But I stuck with horses and good thing I did. I'm glad Alex won again but I also liked Raquel. I thought Tom was going to take up the whole interview time. His dog story was interesting but went on and on.
  3. It's really hilarious the way you tell it.😄
  4. I got it too.
  5. That was a good game to watch. My ts's or missed DDs were few, just Bridget Jones's Diary, tintype, and Singapore. Not an instaget FJ - I first thought of John Updike and his Rabbit books then switched to Watership Down. I like the new champ.
  6. It was a decent game for me. I got the missed dds or ts's of Seville, panel, numbers game, Salvador Dali, Unser, by hook or by crook, and Inca. I knew Lesotho is landlocked so I went with that even though I had no idea of its elevation. So more or less a lucky guess but it's my first this week so I'm happy. Yesterday and today Kate had outfits with wide longish sleeves and stood with her arms behind her back so it looked like she was armless. It was very disconcerting. New champ seems nice and has no obvious tics or weird mannerisms so I hope she stays for a while.
  7. I've seen bits and pieces of Stage Door but was not familiar with the calla lily quote. I enjoyed The Paris Review article very much.
  8. An okay game for me with the following ts's or missed DDs: Absalom, toothless, Radio Free Europe, terrier, Scotland, Rhone, Running of the Bulls (would love to see the Strolling of the Heifers😀), and baked Alaska. However I had no idea for FJ and didn't get yesterday's either (said culottes just to have something to say but knew it wasn't right).
  9. Those are called open pollinated.
  10. Those lettuces look lovely. The squirrels and/or groundhogs ate all our lettuces as well as most of our herbs and my five green bean plants.
  11. Will you be picking up the heirloom tomatoes from the Farmers' Market as seen on Thursday's show? I have some planted in the garden - hope they turn out as well. 2/5 this week 0*. Much better than last week's 0/5
  12. Only two ts's for me, 64 and eiderdown. For some reason I blurted out Long John Silver instead of Treasure Island and didn't have time to correct myself. For FJ, I knew it was an Asian country but went with Thailand instead of Japan.
  13. There certainly were a lot of ts's. I got the ts's or missed DDs of Finland, PIE, Pinocchio, Victoria & Albert, Billy the Kid Rock, bittersweet, Latvia, Borgia, and RICO. For FJ I fairly quickly came up with Ghost and was gobsmacked when that wasn't correct. In my defence, I've never watched Titanic.
  14. You fixed it, @shapeshifter! Both blouses look wonderful with the correct suits.
  15. I had hoped Chris would win more but it wasn't to be. Bryan seems okay but I draw the line at pictures of his hairy chest. My ts's or missed DDs were Emma Thompson, Bay of Biscay and chariot racing. FJ was an instaget, lucky for me because medical questions aren't in my wheelhouse.
  16. Not a great game for me. My only ts's were balsa, Antarctica, and Switzerland. Did not get FJ. I said Darwin - I was about 40 years off as well as being just plain wrong. Kipling again. Last week his book, Kim, was an answer so I bought it for my Kindle (65C cents) but haven't read it yet. Maybe if I had I would have gotten FJ. I think Chris is okay. He spent so long in the hole it was surprising to see him win. Donna just sort of faded out there.
  17. An okay game for me. However, I had only two ts's, Pasteur and smallpox. The Hindenburg came to mind as soon as I saw the FJ category so I finally got an FJ. Technically they should not have given Donna credit for her answer of "Hindenburg disaster" since they were asking for the name of the ship, not the event.
  18. Another 0/5. I'll bring Timbits to the table for 0. Or donut holes if you prefer.
  19. A good game for the players, an okay game for me. Congrats to Donna on the win. I got the ts's or missed DDs of LingLing, Preamble to the Constitution, and Mohs Scale. Should have gotten FJ from "pioneer" in the clue but I did not.
  20. I wondered why I got no ts's in the J round - there were none! Good for the contestants. My only ts was Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I said Andrew Jackson for FJ. All the contestants gave a FJ response that started with M.
  21. Very similar to how I remember which is which - ants are insects so I think of the word as "antomology". And I hope I remember the correct word if it ever comes up in conversation.😀 I have never heard of Flying Tomato for Shaun White - I could only remember his last name which was enough.
  22. That wasn't too bad a game to watch. I got the ts's or missed DDs of decoys, etymology, divorce, Kim, Dead Sea Scrolls, and Macchu Pichu. For FJ I said Coral Sea and Pacific Ocean - I don't know why Coral Sea seemed like a good answer (it doesn't even go as far south as the area in question) but it sounded good to me last night.
  23. An okay game for me, but not really great to watch. I got the ts's or missed DDs of ciabatta, birds, Christopher Wren, Promontory Pt., library paste, and Pitcairn. I'm another one who went with curling for FJ - in my defence I've never curled and am not the greatest at envisioning spaces. 0/2 so far this week, hope tonight is better.
  24. My cat just plopped himself down in front of the screen so I squished him - he loved it. Who did the vet play or where was his cameo?
  25. A good enough game for me with the ts's or missed DDs of ficus, muskox, Palestine, Henry V, Croesus, Sherman and Wellington. I remember reading or seeing on tv about Bezos giving big money to somebody but I thought it was Oprah. But it didn't surprise me that it turned out to be Dolly Parton.
