  1. I'm going to say something that may seem cruel but, I'm starting to find this girl extremely manipulative. I forgot who asked tonight, but when they asked how she manages to pull it together by show night I was like "Hmm, yea isn't that something" Almost all her packages involve tears and drama and questioning as to whether or not she can continue and then bam, there she is. Of course, she doesn't actually dance, but I'm tired of this girl. I have a feeling she's going to win and what absolute travesty that will be.
  2. What an absolute mess. Poor Meryl, she breaks her toe, cuts her back and gets bruised all over trying to perfect an Argentine Tango that wasn't deemed perfect, when apparently all she had to do was sit on a stool while her partner danced around her. I wouldn't vote for Amy if my life depended on it. Charlie's 40 was a sympathy 40, no doubt about it. That was a pretty ordinary quickstep. I see Abby Lee took over Carrie Ann's role as the desperate horny cougar. A 10 for James with his bent knees and slouching posture? Please. They should have really had the couples dance the same dance in that celebrity dance challenge fuckery mess. Ugh, I'm so upset at the show tonight.
  3. How charming were the two society gentlemen in today's wrecked motorcycle case? And apparently living with your mother is worse than taping yourself having sex without the other person's consent. Who knew?
  4. This is just me, but I personally find Peta and James gross, and I'm definitely not a prude, they just come off as desperate. I don't feel this supposed intense chemistry between them. To me, it's like watching two people try to stretch a one night stand into a relationship. Meryl and Maks on the other hand? I find their chemistry palpable. I found it kind of funny that James and Peta were using all these innuendos and talking about rubbing on each other and I felt nothing, yet when Meryl called Maks a jerk and he agreed with her, I strangely found that hot, but I can be odd like that.
  5. I think there's a difference in talking about something in conversation and using it as a centerpiece in your package.
  6. I could totally see Peta grocery shopping in that ensemble. And I didn't think Amy's crying was a big deal either, just odd. Like it came out of nowhere and then poof, was never mentioned again. It was like they had a storyline planned for that then thought better of it.
  7. Not quite, here's Julianne's outfit.. http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/files/2009/04/juliannepod.jpg Peta was literally dancing in her underwear.
  8. You know, normally I'm amused at whatever combination of tape and sequins Peta can come up with but tonight was too much. I've never felt this intense chemistry they're supposed to have, in fact, I find the gross and desperate. I actually agreed with Charlie's scores. There was some rough patches and missteps and the choreography was lacking something. I feel like Sharna either over choreographs or under choreographs, I wish she could find a balance. I thought Amy's rumba was beautiful, but I'm worried about her going forward, And if her relationship is struggling due to time spent apart, then what is she doing here? So long Nene, I hope you didn't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back, and how nice of you to thank your partner who should be sainted for putting up with you. I would have liked to seen Meryl and Maks without the backup dancers, they really don't need them.
  9. I wish they would go back to have only two dances per week, and four when they star having two dances a night. I hate this hodge-podge of dances they have each week.
  10. Dr. Audrey was just precious. Something tells me that wasn't the first time she's pulled a stunt like that, but probably the first time she came across someone who wouldn't let her get away with it. The story she was telling about how she came to purchase those couches got more ridiculous as it went on. Perhaps she should turn the tale of being lured into a dark dungeon and forced to buy a couch into another book, maybe she'll receive another honorarium and she can be Dr. Dr. Audrey. What more can be said about the couple who moved in with another couple? You're a family of three who needs more space so of course you move in with other people. I feel like there was a lot about that story they left out.
  11. Oh, Wendy. I doubt that's it, I just think they were mismatched, Cheryl is very intense in her trained and I don't think Drew responded to that very well. He had his best week when he was with Witney because her more laid back style allowed him to relax a bit. I think he and Cody ended up with partner that the other needed more. Cody needed someone who could be strict with him while Drew needed someone who would allow him to relax.
  12. I'm glad to see someone else that feels this way. I was shocked that not one, but two judges pointed out her mistake, I was totally expecting them to make some kind of excuse for it. I think Amy is an amazing person, but they've hyped her up to be a better dancer than she actually is. I'm also tired of hearing about what an inspiration she is. Is she? Of course she is, but were going on week 7 now, I think it's time to move on and perhaps actually critique her dancing.
  13. I don't think it's entitlement, I think she was speaking the truth and was frustrated. She was tied with Nene, and watched other couples receive 10's with mistakes.
  14. Maks' freakout was...odd, but thank god he has a partner that won't fall apart and can get things back under control. However, the whole thing reeked of producers saying "Ok, everything is going too smooth for you guys, talk about something dramatic". James was overscored. His footwork was terrible, his knees were bent and he was slouched over for much of the dance. Tonight was Amy's best dance, but color me shocked that they actually pointed out a mistake, I was waiting for them to make an excuse for it. I also thought Candace had her best dance tonight, but they are right, she does think too much when she dances. I'm going to be pretty upset if her or Danica go before Nene. Charlie and Sharna's Cha Cha seemed a bit of out control to me and it looked like they finished after the music.
  15. I think she finally showed herself to be the ass that she is. I don't know what she thought she was doing by strutting around like a peacock in heat. Maybe since she worked with Derek she now thinks she's something special? I don't know, but it was bizarre. Tony was trying to tell her that the dance Derek choreographed for her and the dance he had to choreograph for her were very different, one has no rules, the other has very strict rules, but that fell on deaf ears. I can't believe she received the same score as Meryl! And Carrie Ann actually had the balls to say that was Tony's best choreography ever? Melissa Rycroft needs to have a word with her.
  16. Charlie was overscored, IMO, It wasn't so much that he dropped the cane, it's that he stopped dancing to pick it up, yet still received a 10.
  17. That has to be one of the most WTF episodes of this show I have ever seen, from the judges on down, everything was a total WTF. In what world should Nene and Meryl be tied? In what world did James deserve a perfect score? And Len now gives out 10's when you have to stop your dance to walk across the floor to pick up a prop? This show has made me dislike Amy and it's not at all her fault. There was no content in that dance and there were lifts, then Carrie Ann came right out and said she wasn't going to judge her the same way she does everyone else. I haven't voted for her all season and I won't be voting for her tonight
  18. Let's discuss the good, the bad, the ugly and the wtf'ness of the show's music selections.
  19. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't see a whole lot of dancing in Amy's dance, I didn't find it very emotionally riveting, either. Then again, I think years and years of sob moments on reality television have hardened me, because I never find the memorable moments episode moving ,except JR Martinez, that had me in tears. Cody's routine was hip hop, not jazz, and I'm disappointed they didn't call him on that, especially since they had no problem pointing out that Candace's rhumba was more contemporary, he was overscored. Danica was great, and I don't think Amy's contemporary should have received the same score as her. Danica's contemporary had far more choreography. I got very nervous when I heard that Nene was dedicating her rhumba to her husband and that a bed was involved, I had no idea where that was headed, but surprise surprise, I liked the dance, and actually liked her tonight. James continues to be forgettable and Charlie continues to be adorable.
  20. Ok, but remember, in the Sandra Lee book club, we rip out the pages and burn the edges for our tablescapes.
  21. How sweet of ABC to clarify the rules a mere 24hrs before the voting ends, they're such dolls.
  22. I wouldn't care to bet that with Amy having contemporary, we will see our first 10 from Carrie Ann, and she will be in tears while giving it.
  23. So happy that Aunt Sandy snark lives on! To celebrate, I think I'll whip up a Previously,TV-tini
  24. Oh how faaabulous, a new BC thread, how easy is that?
