The Megan thing- Luther was a young cop dealing with a case of a young girl named Stacey killing a kid with Down Syndrome (I think). Stacey had originally blamed a pedophile and then killed that guy, too. Despite Luther`s best efforts, the higher ups believed the pedophile was guilty and he killed himself. The sister of that kid said that they had released Stacey (serving time for manslaughter for shoving her Nan down the stairs) recently and she had moved back into the council estate the sister lives in and they had a confrontation in which Stacey laughed about her brother. Megan was their classmate and had witnessed the murder. She wouldn`t tell anyone because she was afraid of Stacey but Luther convinced her he`d protect her and she told Luther what happened. Because Stacey was never charged, Megan thinks Luther is a big fat liar and has always been afraid that Stacey was going to come after her. She has basically gone nuts and is obsessed with our hero.

Kim Kardashian Thomas Humphries West
Pogojoco replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Which is kind of funny, because brand new North, like most infants, looked a hell of a lot like Kanye to me. She`s more of a mix now, but early, totally Kanye. ETA I meant to say that most infants look like their dads, not that most infants look like Kanye. I left the mistake because the idea that I think that all infants look like Kanye West amused me quite a lot. -
My interest in UK fashion magazines is continuing to fade. Seriously, this is boring. She's going to talk about bullies on the internet, her lips and her dad. "As part of the 90s inspired fashion shoot, ELLE brings Kylie Jenner together with male model of the moment, Lucky Blue Smith, presenting them like you’ve never seen them before." What? Also, this video http://www.elleuk.com/now-trending/kylie-jenner-elle-cover-video-interview-2016 "If I was an emoji, I'd be an upside down smiley face...."

Rob: The (Mostly) Invisible Man
Pogojoco replied to Lisin's topic in Keeping Up With The Kardashians
I hope Rob gets the help he needs for his depression. I think the "lack of control" in his diet and lifestyle stems from that. The video for Kris' 60th birthday with all her kids except Rob really just pissed me off. I understand he might just not have wanted to be involved, but I do remember Kim berating him for various things and the rumour that their mother urging him to lose 70lbs before the Kimye wedding just makes me wonder. -
Oh yeah, she definitely did. She also shot the family dog, which upset me. Bad, bad Alice!!!

S03.E03: Too Little, Too Late / Paris 75001
Pogojoco replied to Primetimer's topic in Beverly Hills, 90210
It's funny, but it's mostly Doherty, I think. Her hair looks awesome in this episode. I think this might be peak Brenda hair era. Dylan/Kelly- still annoying after all these years. Brandon hitting on Andrea because she has a boyfriend is just so gross and stupid. Shut up, show. -
My favourite part of the Carson/Mary relationship was Mrs. Hughes rolling her eyes about it. I honestly loved how Michelle Dockery played that character (I thought a lot about her watching this episode, what with her recent personal tragedy) but my favourite thing about Mary was when she was a terrible person and it blows up in her face. My favourite recent bit was when they all realized that Edith was going to outrank all of them. Dockery's face was perfect. Perfect. I would also like a series featuring George, Sybbie and Marigold in the late 30s into the 40s. Fascism, abdication, war, the Kennedy family is in the UK (a Kennedy sister married a Cavendish, one of the fanciest families in the UK.) A lot of possibility. But Julian Fellowes would just ruin it, so....

Anna encouraging Thomas to figure out what made him so blue amused me in a very dark way. 'Um, I dunno, Anna.....maybe because I'm a gay man in 1926 when it's illegal and I realized that I don't have a job in a house where I've lived and worked for maybe 15 or so years and all my striving and scheming and ambition has turned to shit....but who knows, really?"

I loved Kylo Ren revealing his face because I think some people might've expected that he was part machine like Vader. It seems, rather, that he wears that mask because he's trying to distance himself from his old self and also pay homage. As well as intimidate. Few things this one did that the prequels didn't do: had main characters I cared about, with clear characterization and motivations, had a lightsaber fight that didn't feel cold and overly choreographed, had a villain that was frightening and compelling, it didn't feature any annoying children, and no one compared and contrasted their girlfriend to sand. I think the only reference to the prequels was when Maz Kanata mentioned that the Sith, as well as the Empire and the First Order, were manifestations of the Dark Side.

To the person above that thought Adam Driver looked nothing like his Star Wars parents- I disagree. Someone on the internet pointed out that he knew that Kylo Ren was Han Solo's kid because Adam Driver looks a lot like a young Ford- especially the prominent features, particularly the nose and the lips. And he's dark-haired like Leia. And now I can;t see anything else. And someone did the hard work Ford and Driver as very young men And I think he's plenty handsome, but to each their own.

Pie is awesome. Shut up, Dave. Dylan whipping the booze at the Walsh house's wall is so random and hilarious.

I love the idea of your cats' friends being in your backyard wedding, Sarah D. Bunting. The whole kid's friends in the wedding party is repeated in Dawson's Creek where Joey is Dawson's mom's maid of honour in the idiotic re-marriage. (Also the episode with Dawson's legendary cry face.)

I power watched this whole series on Netflix, so the varied tone of the series was really apparent. Agnes and Henri were two of my favourite characters. Henri- in the first season, with his velvet waistcoats, continental panache and his stone cold foxness (seriously, that is a dashing man) and lovely, open faced Agnes's romance was very sweet. Until he left her. I liked them in the second season- his mysterious behaviour, his sad beard in the second episode. her maturity and great embroidered jacket. I thought Agnes and Victor were great friends, but it didn't quite work as a romance. Agnes and Henri leaving the show made sense, and I appreciate that he was shell shocked, as many were. It was incredibly sad to watch and I thought Henri's last window was one of the most beautiful on the show. I just wish there was more about their creative partnership featured in the show- I think that was the key to their relationship- he opened up the world to her and in her, he found someone who corresponded to him creatively. They understood each other creatively. I'll also miss Agnes' ability to cry- seriously, her eyes are faucets. She's a beautiful crier. (As for their money situation, I imagine Henri is from money. He describes his family home as large. I think his shabbiness in the second season was because he was on the run and sad, rather than genuinely poor.) In general, the issue I have is that I wish the show was more about the shop girls. Kitty, Agnes, Miss Mardle (Amanda Abbington is a great actress) and earlier ones like Miss Revillious and Miss Bunting, were way more interesting than the Selfridge family. Also, side note, who ever did the makeup and hair on the ladies in the third season needs to stop doing make up. There is no need to make any of these ladies jowl-y.

Bangs are indeed great....outfit, she lost me. And I agree, she's a very pretty but generic brunette. She's a fashion star because of her name and her associations. Designers use her because they want the press.

Puff Daddy was in her 60th birthday video. Her son wasn't, but Puffy was. And yeah, I call him Puff Daddy. Topic? That's a terrible outfit on Miss Jenner which does nothing for her body. It looks very cheap. Kendall also looked pretty awful.

On the cover of Elle Canada, because it can't be a fashion magazine without a Kardashenner involved somewhere. She looks exactly like Kim and about 10 years older than she is. Hinterland Who's Who theme music. OMG, I love you.

I so wish Edith would outrank Mary in the end. Mostly because that moment when they all realize that was one of my favourite moments in the entire 6 seasons of this show. Also, Mary? It's not Tom's secret to tell so he doesn't have to get back into your good graces for not telling you. You self-centered bitch. This Thomas thing is so annoying. He's worked at this house for, like, twenty years. Let him keep working there and let Mosley go be a teacher. Or just kill Bates off. That'd be ok, too.
-
Yeah....I'm pretty sure figure skaters will go to major coaches instead of the coach going to them. Coaches will sometimes have a couple of skaters. Brandon should've gotten Pepe and Manuel to make him a burrito.
-
Brandon, you are 4 foot nothing. You aren't going to be an athlete- unless he's a jockey. Or a gymnast. Also, nice fist pump, Dylan. And yeah, Brenda is gorgeous in this ep. She's nearly at peak gorgeous.

S22.E09: The Guy Or Girl Who Came Back
Pogojoco replied to OnceSane's topic in America's Next Top Model [V]
One of the go-see talking heads, with the red lipstick, was Emily, who used to work for Kelly Cutrone and was on her "Kell on Earth" show. I recognized her condescending voice. Nyle is a beautiful creature. -
Oooh even more awkward. It'd be like Kate marrying William after Pippa had a couple of his bastard kids.
-
Thomas giving piggy backs to the kids is basically the best. Especially to "cheer him up." I'm going to get more outfits that are "medium smart." And I'm still trying to give two effs about the Bates' and I just can't. The way the character of Anna has been torpedoed since the first season is really a wonder.
-
Ok, Robert spewing blood to basically stop a fight at the dinner table was pretty punk rock. I never knew what happened when an ulcer burst before. Edith looked quite beautiful. This show is rounding back into early form....I'm still waiting for it to go terrible again.

The Last Kingdom - General Discussion
Pogojoco replied to Meredith Quill's topic in The Last Kingdom
In the case of Too Many Ragnars: Ubba, the older Dane with face tattoos, is Vikings' Ragnar's son. It's a little confusing who his mom is, with Vikings, for instance, they made Bjorn Lagertha's son and he's actually Aslaug's. Viking's Ragnar is dead by now. And I think Aslaug in Vikings does have a son named Ragnar, but I mostly ignore everything involving her on that show. He's not Uhtred's master/foster dad, though. In the Last Kingdom books, Ragnar (the younger, also handsome blonde Dane) is known as Ragnar Ragnarson.
